Chapter 4 - The Three Man Squad

The next morning at 7 am the three genin arrived at the same spot they agreed. Mari in the same gear as yesterday, Hana no longer has her face mask on exposing a scar on the bridge of her nose and Kasai is in everything he had on yesterday except the fact he has a headband with cat ears atop his head. Kasai lets out a loud and audible yawn "So how do you two wanna begin" the white-haired genin looks around at the two dumbfounded girls "What's up you two look like the Kyubi just dick slapped you both?" The two girls begin to burst out laughing and point at him. In unison, they bellow "Your head dumbass" before cackling some more.

"What do you mean my head all I got is my leaf headband and my hair fucking calling me a dumbass you dumbass head-asses." This outraged comment only made the two girls laugh out even more with Hana loudly exclaiming "do this fuckhead" as she makes a pinking motion above her head. Kasai mimics the motion expecting nothing but pinching the plastic cat ears atop his head. With this, he stops and his face darkens. "Neither of you has seen this, am I understood?"

The two girls stop laughing and give a nod to the white-haired boy. "Sooooo shall we begin training?" Mari questioned. A nod from the two other genin was her response. "I think we should begin with a small discussion on what we can do, what do you say?".

"That sounds good to me," Hana proclaimed looking over at the still darkened face of Kasai.

"Ye same goes for me" Kasai muttered, taking off the headband and throwing it to the side. Almost as soon as it was off his head his demeanor changed to a pleasant but tired one. "So who wants to go first?" he yawned.

"I can" Mari happily chirped "well as you are aware I am a little strong," an understatement thought the other genin "Well I can use fire release, but most important is that I am mainly a taijutsu and kenjutsu user. I use fire release to augment them both. The only ninjutsu I know is fireball jutsu and fire clone jutsu"

"Kenjutsu, so you use a weapon?" Hana asked inquisitively.

"So where is it? And what is it?" Kasai interrupts before continuing after a small pause "do you have it sealed up your butt?"

Mari looked at Kasai "Half right, it is sealed and if you continue being a jackass I'll stick it up to your butt" she said while glaring at her teammate. "Anyway, let me show you" Mari makes a single hand sign before pulling down her left sleeve showing an active seal wrap under her arm. She places a hand on the seal and says "Release" as a large puff of smoke engulfs her. After it dissipates Mari is standing with a large sword slightly bigger then Hana resting on her shoulder with no effort on her part.

"Okay, that is a big sword" Hana proclaims wide-eyed.

"I wouldn't want that shoved up my ass" Kasai adds with a shocked expression.

In response to the comments, Mari grips it in both hands and channels chakra into the blade just as she does so it bursts into flames hot enough that Kasai and Hana can feel the heat from almost 10 feet away. "I REALLY DON'T WANT YOU TO SHOVE IT UP MY ASS" Kasai worriedly exclaims before moving behind Hana. This causes the three genin to laugh out loud and Mari stops the sword burning and re-seals it.

Hana stands up "I can go next if you want me too" the other two genin confirm they would like to hear what she can do "I mainly use lightning style" she states. "I can use the Lightning clone and my Violet Bolt jutsu. I am nowhere near as good as Lord sixth with Lightning style as my Violet Bolt takes a couple more hand signs then his Purple Lightning and isn't as strong or as versatile even if we did use the same amount of chakra which we don't."

The two genin still look at her "You do yourself a disservice" Kasai proclaims to his fellow genin who seemed to be doubting her skills

Following his point, Mari continued with a beaming smile "Even if not mastered you can use a jutsu that was created by a kage that is awesome Hana"

In response Hana said quietly "ye I guess it is pretty awesome" leading Mari to stand up and give a strong hug probably a bit too tight on the younger genin causing her to squeak out in pain.

"Ok, my turn" Kasai stood up proudly "I have a natural keki-genki" he continued "I have both fire and wind chakra allowing me to naturally use scorch release without much training." He smugly rubbed under his nose "Unfortunately I can only use a single scorch release jutsu and it isn't close to being as strong as other jutsu's of the same style" The two girls nodded

"It's still a really awesome jutsu from what I saw before passing out," Hana said in a consolatory tone

"It also eats just under a third of my entire chakra reserve so I can't exactly spam the damn thing," Kasai added. "On the other hand, I have fire release jutsu like fireball jutsu, fire clone jutsu like Mari and almost got the flame shuriken jutsu down probably by the end of tomorrow with a little bit of help. Oh oh, I also have Wind Release Gale Palm which is really versatile especially when done with a clone."

Mari looks at the two other genin with a smirk and says "Team 12 I got a plan to get us both those bells"
