Chapter 11, Mr. Barron.
Jake and Savannah were walking, and their father grabbed them. They walked down to the beach when they heard about the body. Savannah and Jake took off with the new guy following them. It turned out to be Mr. Barron. Jake pulled Savannah behind him to protect her. Mr. Barron then made Jake lead them to the house.
While the children were packing with Alma and Miss Avocet helping, the doorbell rang. Alma opened it to see that Mr. Barron had Savannah and Jake.
Miss Peregrine got her children to go into the parlor, Mr. Barron gave Savannah to Alma. Alma hugged her close before kissing her on the forehead. Tears ran down her face, but she wanted Savannah safe, so she put her with her children closing and locking the door. Mr. Barron opened the cage and waited for Alma to turn into a bird.
Alma turned into her bird form, and she flew into the cage. Mr. Barron locked in, then pushed Jake into the parlor and left. Miss Avocet was telling the children what to do when she got grabbed from behind. Miss Avocet didn't survive, so Jake took charge and grabbed the crossbow. The hollow grabbed Enoch, but Jake saved him.
Jake then rushed everyone up the stair and to the roof, they all slid down, but Jake went last to help Savannah down. When Savannah slid down, Enoch was at the bottom to catch her. Jake then slid down the roof. Fiona was growing the tree branch to reach the roof. When it got there, the younger ones went first, with Enoch going last with Savannah on his back.
Jack shot the hollow while Emma took off her shoes, grabbed Jake, and floated down to the ground when the bomb landed, destroying the house and the hollow. Jake and Emma met everyone else on the beach; they got into a little boat and went out to see where Emma's secret place was. Jake watched as both Olive and Enoch help Savannah into the water, and while she was swimming down, they stayed by her side the whole time.
They got to the boat where Emma used her peculiarity to lift the boat from the sea bed, and Olive used hers to light up the boilers to get it moving. The boat started moving when it was brought up. When they made it to the Blackpool loop. Emma, Jake, and Millard went to find Mr. Barron at the blackwater theatre. Savannah helped the younger ones gather some stuff to show people the hollows.
Jake came back with Emma and a wight behind him with four hollows. They started throwing snow at them, lollies. Emma blew the cotton candy onto the hollows so people could see them. Enoch grabbed his jars of hearts and put them into the skeletons on the ship. The skeletons started to fight them, getting rid of the wights and all of the hollows.
They went to free the ymbrynes but had to work together to get rid of Mr. Barron and his two friends. They ended up defeating the male when Enoch saw him making Olive go cold. Claire and the Twins beat the female by biting her arm, and the twins turned her into stone. She fell back and smashed into bits. Jake and Emma followed Mr. Barron. Jake got inside the room and freed all the ymbrynes, including Miss Peregrine.
