Chapter 12 Not ordinary.

Savannah stayed out of the fight. She didn't want to hurt her baby. Emma got Enoch to help find Jake because Barron was too strong. When they got to the room, they opened the door and saw two Jakes. Enoch grabbed the crossbow and pointed it at both. They had trouble decided which one was the real one and which one wasn't.

Jake looked at Enoch and Emma.

"I'm not ordinary. I can do what no one else but my sister can do. I can see the hollows," Jake said. A hollow came up behind Barron and took his eyes. Jake killed the hollow with the crossbow. Jake and Savannah hugged the children, Savannah kissing Claire on the forehead. Claire hugged Savannah longer, and the children went back into their time while Jake and Savannah stayed.

They sat on the step for the ghost train while the loop closed. The next day they went to their grandfather's house and hugged him. Savannah started showing more in her pregnancy. Savannah had woken up after having a nap to getting cramps, so their father drove her to the hospital. The doctors told her to stay in bed. Their parents were too busy to look after her, so her grandfather offered to do it. Their grandfather handed Jack a book, and Jake opened it.

"Go to her, Jake," Grandfather said to Jake. Jake hugged Savannah and took off running and going through loops until he goes to the boat where Jake went to Emma. Emma and Jake kissed Alma hovering above them. After resting a bit, she flew after the ship and landed on the deck, changing into herself. The rest of the children came out and hugged her. Alma looked at Jake.

"Where is Savannah?" Alma asked Jake. Jake looked at her.

"She started having bad cramps, so the doctors put her on bed rest for the rest of the pregnancy. Grandfather is looking after her." Jake told Alma. He had a feeling that Alma was in love with his sister, and his sister felt the same about Alma.

A few months later, Alma found another safe place for her and her children. The house was like the one they had before but a bit bigger. That afternoon Jake sent his grandfather a postcard.

Dear Grandfather and Savannah,

Miss Peregrine has found a safe place

for us at home called Sanctuaire of Paradis (Sanctuary of Paradise)

it's a beautiful place hope to hear from you soon

Your grandson and brother Jake.

Abe read the postcard to Savannah while lying in bed. Savannah loved being with her grandfather but was starting to miss Alma and the children and Jake.
