This is a pretty long one and probably the most detailed fight so far so hope you enjoy it.

Chapter 15 - A Beasts Fury

Rai takes a step forward to the edge of the crater and cracks his neck and begins stretching his shoulders, seemingly limbering himself up. Rai looks at the shocked shinobi in front of him as he continues to limber up they all begin to reassure themselves and calm their emotions to continue the fight. Meanwhile, Rai leans forward an audible crack coming from his back. As this happened he closes his eyes and leans back before bouncing on the spot with agility and finesse still surprising of his large frame.

Hana is the first to regain her composer, as she readies her tanto, once more her eyes flash a dark purple as she rushes forward at even higher speeds than previously. In the next moment at least as far as Kasai can perceive she is across the other side of the crater from Rai with her back turned to him, clearly slashing through him with her blade at least that is what Hana with the Raijingan and Hanabi with her Byakugan could see. However, Rai seems completely unharmed by her attack, his eyes still closed.

Hana turns back to see that he stands unharmed. Once more filled with rage she charges him with all her might and fury screaming like an animal as she does so.

Once more she seems to fly at him, hearing this he turns his body halfways toward her and smirks. As she gets close she swings at his neck however in almost slow motion he bends completely ducking her blow causing her to fly right over him. As she goes over him she looks down at his grinning face only to see his eyes open showing they are now an amber color as light brown markings appear around his eyes, lines go across almost to his ears before they follow his jawline and meet at his chin. His sinister smile now revealing a pair of fangs. He quickly grabs her leg as she goes past him, he stands back up and throws her full force into the crater almost knocking her out and causing her head to bleed significantly.

Rai looks back to Kasai and Hanabi "This is my sage mode, be proud I think you have earnt me to kill you with it" This remark once causes that two standing shinobi to take a step back.

"This guy is a sage? He is way stronger than I thought, must be somewhere between Sannin to Kage level" Hanabi says with a tinge of fear in her eyes.

"This must be like that snake lady, I didn't think people that strong were supposed to be here" Kasai responds.

Rai grins even wider "Of course, you ran into my colleague, the snake bitch" he says before letting out a maniacal laugh.

Kasai responds by finding his nerve once more and sending a volley of flame shuriken at Rai. This causes him to stop laughing and throw a punch into the air, the wind pressure of which repels the shuriken in all directions away from him. Almost as soon as Kasai registers his attack failed he starts to weave more hand signs, this, however, is abruptly cut off by Rai appearing next to him and throwing a kick to the side of his ribs. Kasai barely manages to get a guard in the way, as he moves his arms to his side in an attempt to block. The kick connects with Kasai's guard, Kasai buckles from the force and he feels like he has almost been broken in two, as he is sent hurtling towards Hanabi who just manages to catch him without being carried by the impact herself.

Hanabi pushes Kasai to the side as he begins to cough up blood. She pushes forward to meet Rai in combat believing she might be the only one with the taijutsu skills, and most important the durability to even stand in a fight with him. As she rushes forward Rai does the same the two almost instantly closing the gap between them. Rai strikes first with a left jab, that Hanabi slips under the strike and counters with strikes to the wrist, elbow, and then a sidekick to his stomach using his momentum to further increase the power of the kick.

Rai is sent back a few meters, his left arm drops to his side as he loses most of his feeling in it. Hanabi uses this and once again goes on the offense leaping into the air and slightly to the left she kicks Rai in the side of his head before flipping over him and striking at his left shoulder and neck with precise strikes. As she lands Rai spins round to hit her but his arm locks in place. Hanabi grabs his left arm and twists getting inside his already shattered defenses, and elbowing him in the ribs and throat. Then she leaps up and pulls on his arm bringing him straight down into her knee strike, Hanabi uses this leverage to do a double kick to his face and leap away from him before he regains full control.

Once again landing in a battle stance she readies to defend herself. Rai after a few moments spits out a bit of blood before his fury begins to rise and his bloodlust intensifies. He bounds forward towards Hanabi striking at her with a knee she bearly blocks having to adjust her stance to not take its full force. She steps into his guard at goes to push him back with a point-blank air palm, Rai, however, pushes her arms apart and goes for a slap to her head. Hanabi once again ducks this blow, placing both hands on the ground she kicks up with both feet, this attack narrowly misses Rai's face as he leans back. Rai then grabs her legs as he spins around and swings her overhead slamming her face-first into the ground. Rai lets go of Hanabi before punting her in the chest sending her back to the edge of the crater a couple of douzen meters away at this point.

Turning his attention back to Kasai he smirks, "Common brat that all you got, a weak ass kick and you're almost down for the count." Rai says with a mix of anger and disappointment

Kasai stands back up wiping the blood from his mouth "Bring it, you ugly mother fucker" he responds with defiant malice that causes Rai to smile once more.

Kasai quickly makes hand signs as two clones burst into life next to him. "Charge him and cover me," he says to the clones as he makes more hand signs for another jutsu.

The two fire clones rush at Rai but neither of them is able to land a single blow while Rai is bullying them with kicks and punches. Rai's attention is quickly grabbed as Kasai runs forward holding the ram hand seal. Bemused he looks at Kasai waiting to see what he will attack him with. He quickly breaks the seal causing his right arm to burst into a bright light. He yells out "Scorch Release: Brilliant Palm Strike," right before leaping into the air. Kasai also yells out "NOW!" as he does this the two clones leap at Rai who still has a shit-eating grin on his face. He punches at one clone as he kicks at the other. However, as his attacks connect the clones grab onto the limbs with both grappling him in holds.

As Kasai falls down he does so on the right side where Rai's arm is grappled, Rai attempts to force the clone and his arm in the way of the strike but is kicked in the face and has the grapple tightened for his trouble. Kasai lands striking Rai in the chest with the brilliant palm. The force and power of which knocks Rai off his feet and begins to burn into his chest causing the only sustained and visible damage he has taken up until now.

Rai roars with primal fury as with his free arm he grabs Kasai and throws him away with such force that Kasai's arm breaks just from being grabbed. Mid-air Kasai yells in pain but fights through it as he makes a hand sigh and yells "Release." This causes the two clones that are grappling the pained Rai to explode in two plumes of fire and ash.

Kasai lands and rolls in pain till he is next to the recuperating Hanabi and Hana both of whom are kneeling on the edge of the crater. "Good work Kasai you hit him pretty hard with that" Hanabi comments helping the white-haired genin up.

"But it won't be enough" Hana spits staring at the plumes of fire and ash.

With this brief pause in combat, the medic-nin from earlier rushes over with the wounds on her face almost healed but with some bandages around the side of her head. "Let me help, I can heal you three up and give you enough chakra to be able to properly continue the fight," she says as she jumps into the crater just behind them.

"Thanks that would be great," Kasai says with a smile.

The medic quickly patchers up to the best of her ability in such a short time the three shinobi almost pouring all her chakra into the three exhausting herself in the process. As she finishes healing Hana's head wound the medic falls back nearly passing out due to chakra loss. The three shinobi look back to check on her but are quickly drawn away by the now plumes of smoke blown away as Rai once more steps out seemingly healed most of the injuries he sustained with just a deep burn mark on his chest.

Rai rolls his shoulders and charges forward Hanabi nods at Hana and Kasai and the three shinobi also charge forward with Hana and Hanabi matching each other's speed and going ahead while Kasai holds the rear and fires off two fireball jutsu at the charging Rai. The first is blown apart from the wind pressure created as Rai strikes at the fireball, the second explodes upon contact engulfing the sage in flames. Rai steps through the flames only to be greeted by a flurry of kicks and punches by Hana that he begins weaving and dodging around. After several moments Hana lands a kick to the side of his head before landing back to the ground and readies to strike again. This however is interrupted by Rai who throws a jab the Hana easily dodges but is almost immediately caught by a knee to the gut taking her off her feet. Hana lands back less than a meter away holding her gut and breathing heavily as all the air has been forced out of her lungs.

Rai goes for another heavy strike with his left hand planning to drive Hana's skull into the ground killing her. This attack is intercepted however by multiple strikes all the way up his arm by Hanabi which slows down his attack, Hana easily spins to the side regaining her breathing and she quickly makes the hand signs and yells out "Lightning Release: Violet Bolt" as she smacks the large sage in the side of his head for the second time this fight taking him off his feet.

Rai once more stabilizes himself back onto his feet several meters away only to be blitzed by Hana who slashes his left knee before kicking at it taking him to one leg. He swings back only for the strike to only more be countered and cloud by Hanabi. Hana leaps over Rai and punches him in the throat with a lightning release enhanced strike. This forces him back onto his feet and stumbling back while holding his throat. He attempts once more to kick at Hana but Hanabi stops him and lands several pinpoint blows that lock the sage in place for just a moment. At this moment Kasai who used the fight as a distraction to get behind Rai rushes forward his hand in a brilliant glow he clenches his fist and roars out "Scorch Release: Brilliant Palm Strike, Stage two" The glow around his first grows in intensity forcing Hanabi who can see chakra to look away. Kasai slams his fist into Rai's back creating a bright flash and sends the sage flying forwards with a hold in his back.

Kasai falls to the ground exhausted from chakra use, Hana and Hanabi stand over him shocked. "Did you think we won now?" Kasai mutters with a small chuckle.

"Ye, I think we won" Hana responses.

"I don't even think lord 6th could take a blow like that and still be fine, we definitely won," Hanabi says with relief.

The three shinobi let out a chuckle before Hana also collapses to the ground. Hanabi looks at her and sees her eyes go back to normal and that she has expended almost all of her chakra. "Hana, are you feeling ok?" she asks in a worried tone.

"Ye, I am fine just tired" Hana slowly responds. "A - at least we won"

A loud explosion booms through the valley, revealing Rai standing up once more completely furious. "You will have to do more than that you insolent brats" he roars in a thunderous tone.

At speeds, the weakened Hanabi struggles to perceive, Rai charges towards the exhausted trio. Hanabi steps forward blocking his path and once more the famed Eight Trigrams Palms Rotation. Rai's fist almost completely breaks through the rotation but is just forced back. He goes for another strike only to realize his right arm is completely dead and numb.

For a second a shocked expression crosses his face "Impressive, I have never heard of a Hyuga using the rotation to actually seal off chakra and pressure points before," he growls with an impressed fury.

"Thanks, didn't know if it was going to work only really created this variation in theory so now I know it works," Hanabi says with a tired smirk across her face.

"Unfortunately for you, it won't be enough," Rai says as chakra ripples through his arm returning it to normal. Rai then tenses up as an amber chakra begins to emit from his right arm. He quickly jabs it forward, this time completely shattering the rotation and Hanabi's attempts to stop the strike.

Rai grabs the shocked Hanabi by the throat forcing her to her knees and begins to choke her and slowly crush her neck. Hanabi struggles against Rai but is virtually powerless to stop him.

As soon as Hanabi's face begins to turn purple, the tension around her throat suddenly disappears as a kick goes right past her head. Looking up she sees the back of a feminine figure in a brown coat. Standing in front of her and Rai sent flying backward. Seeing this Hanabi mutters "A- Anko-sensei?" before also passing out.
