The door of my cell opened loudly and the Kakamora pirates barged in to drag me out roughly. At this point, I didn't really care about what was going to happen to me. I couldn't even sleep at all the whole night. Even though the voyage was as smooth sailing as smooth sailing could be, I couldn't even sleep one wink even if I wanted to try. The only thing I cared about was if my surrendering to Tzekel-Kan and his minions bought my friends enough time to escape with their lives.

The pirates took me on deck and we joined Tzekel-Kan. He faced me and smiled at me. "Welcome to your future home, my lord." He said that and bowed to me, both with sarcasm. I could tell that whatever what was going to happen he was really looking forward to it. Whenever he looked forward to something, I knew it would never be good.

I looked and saw that we were approaching another tropical island. It was like my island with the only exception that it was smaller.

When we landed on the island, we all got off the ship, with Tzekel-Kan and his friends pulling me off. Then they continue to drag me like a cannon as we walked into the palm trees. All I could see as I was dragged around were sand and palm trees. Then we came to a giant rocky surface and it took us only two minutes to get there. Tzekel-Kan dragged me to the middle of the rocky service and pushed me down.

While I was down, I noticed there were skeletons lying around. Skeletons scattered around on the rocky area and the sand outside it, skeletons hanging on the trees nearby, half of skeleton bodies standing up in the sand and some skulls separate from their skeleton bodies. Then I remembered Tzekel-Kan was near me and then a horrible thought made me put him and the skeletons together. "Tzekel-Kan, these skeletons here, did you sacrifice them?"

Tzekel-Kan smiled. "All of them. For the birds to satisfy their hunger. And to prove my worth to the gods. Real gods, this time, who are always satisfied with sacrifices. And this time false ones like you couldn't stop me."

All of this started to make me regret fighting and keeping Tzekel-Kan out of El Dorado, though he would have had me, Tulio and all of the people killed and the whole of the city of gold destroyed if we didn't. I just wished there was a different way that both El Dorado and the rest of the world would be safe from Tzekel-Kan and these gods that he now worshipped.

The high priest knelt and closed his eyes. "My Lords and Ladies of the Turolia Kingdom," he said. "I beg your presence, for I and your armies have finally return with the very one you seek."

I was expecting him to sacrifice me like these skeletons around me, but I didn't see any weapons or bottles full of potions or poison. Then the rocky surface I was on shone brightly with colourful lights. I thought that was how Tzekel-Kan was going to sacrifice me. Then I saw some colourful things that looked a lot like clouds shoot through the cracks of the rocky surface. The colours were red, blue, yellow and green. The green cloud was the first to land on the rocky service and then it vanished revealing a young man with long blond hair. The yellow cloud was next to land. After it disappeared, it revealed a young woman with long blonde hair. Then the blue cloud revealed an old woman with long white hair. And, finally, the red cloud revealed and old man with long grey hair and a long grey beard. They were all wearing golden crowns and wearing white robes.

They all approached me and I got nervous as they looked at me. The one with the beard knelt before me and grabbed my face as he looked at me. Then he smiled. "Welcome, son."

Son? I couldn't believe he was my father. I never knew my father, but I never ever imagined he would look like that, let alone be that powerful.

He turned to Tzekel-Kan. "Congratulations, Lord Tzekel-Kan. You have successfully executed your task."
Tzekel-Kan bowed. "It was indeed a great honour to do so, Lord Naror."

"As promised." Naror clicked his fingers.

I heard rumbling in the distance. As I turned to face it, I saw appearing, on the other side of the island like magic, a strong stone-built mansion. It was as massive, beautiful and as grand as the palaces of the ancient worlds. Maybe even more than them combined even and it was built in a matter of seconds.

Tzekel-Kan bowed again. "You are so generous, my Lord."

Then Naror turned to me. "Come, Tulor. It is time you meet your family and get settled into your new home." He tried to grab me by the chain, but I back away from him as much as I could.

"How are you my family?" I demanded, continuing to back away as much as I could. "If you are my family, why didn't you come to get me?" Then I felt I couldn't back away no more because Tzekel-Kan sadistically held me to stop me moving back from him. That helped Naror grab my chain.

"All will be explained when you see our kingdom," he told me, as he dragged me to his family. We all stood on the rocky surface.

"Well, good luck," Tzekel-Kan said, turning to walk away with his friends.

"You're not coming with me, Tzekel-Kan?" I asked.

He turned back to me. "I would if I could, but I cannot. I am not your family and I do not have your family's blood to enter Turolia Empire. I hope it serves you well for the next… thousand years. I have my own palace to settle in."

I wondered what he meant by that, as he walked away. Then the clouds around this family of gods returned around them and it covered me up as well. I wondered what was going to happen to me as the colourful clouds kept swirling around me and the gods. Then those clouds vanished and I saw nothing but a surface that looked to be made out of gold. Then I looked and saw the surface continued to something that looked like a castle wall surrounded by dark skies.

"Where am I?" I asked. "What is this place?"

"This is the Turolia Castle of the Turolia Empire," Naror said.

I looked around and saw a shiny golden castle. It reminded me a lot of the temple in El Dorado only it was thousand times bigger and shone with more gold. How Tulio would love this place, though I doubt the dark sky would make him calm.

"Look up," Naror said, pointing upwards. I saw visions of people and places going on in the world. I tried to find my friends and the places they were at, but I couldn't.

"This is where we see the whole world and rule all of it," Naror continued. "And now this is your home."

He pointed to my chains and they vanished into dust.

"Now that we are here, meet your family, Tulor," Naror said. His wife was called Belbur and she was my 'mother'. Then he introduced me to my 'siblings', who were twins. My 'brother' was called Aulder and my 'sister' was called Riythur.

"You – You can't be my family!" I cried. "I didn't know much about them, but I remember my sister, who was very nasty. And my name is not Tulor. It's Miguel!"

"You were your sister's adopted brother," Naror said. "You were adopted. I don't know by who, but you were adopted and they renamed you Miguel. Your real name is Tulor."

I was very confused. "Why did you send me away?"

"We didn't," Belbur said. "We lost you one day when we were sailing out to sea. We thought we lost you for good. Then our luck changed when we came to Turolia Island and the god before us took pity on us."

I kept on getting more confused. "The god before you?"

"Yes, we were mortal human beings like you are now," Aulder said. "We served the god and then just before he died, we were granted his divine powers. Then we used his powers to trace you in the world."

"Granted?" How would a god die and why would he give his powers to a family of mortal human beings? Then I thought of something. "You killed this god and took his powers, didn't you? How? Why?"

"You do not need to know any of that," Riythur said. "All you need is the divine powers and our family will be entirely divine. Then we shall rule the world and nothing can stop us."

"But I don't want to be a god like you guys! I want to be free with my friends."

"You are with your family," Naror said. "And you will become a god like us and join us, whether you like it or not."

I tried to run to the nearest ledge and jump off, but I didn't fall off and I was turned around, not by choice but by force. I saw Naror himself pointing to me. He was using his powers to stop me from escaping them. When he pointed to his feet, I floated to him and I dropped at his feet.

"It is time you learnt how to become a god," Naror said. "And we will start right now." He pointed at me and I had no choice but to float behind my divine family. All I could do was worry about what my future was going to be with them and worry about what would happen to my friends.
