Authors Note - Yo

Thought I would leave a note on this chapter regarding my schedule for updating this story with new chapters.

These first 5 chapters a going to be a sort of prologue arc covering the first four years of naruto's life and how other characters are effected.

I'll be releasing them very 2 days and will try and keep to that time frame for the whole story.

Chapter 2

A year later and the village hidden in the leaves showed all but no signs of the kyuubi attack, however any traveler or merchant from outside the village could tell all was not right within the village. A dark shadow had been cast down upon the village following that day, and had yet to be lifted, whispers and rumors spread like wild fire around the village, some where aimed towards the Uchiha believing it was them to be responsible for the attack, while many aimed them towards the demon child, the kyuubi reincarnated.

In a vain attempt to lay these rumors to rest and to protect the child from harm the Hokage enacted laws barring a penalty of death to any one who broke them, however these laws did not detour a certain one eyed man from attempting to take the child into his custody through the use of the civilian council.

Hiruzen' Pov

"May I ask as to why you have called for a meeting in these late hours, could this have not waited for tomorrow" of cause he had to call the meeting today of days, I just hope Tsume will be able to keep her calm. Even with my vision squared on Danzo I could still feel the anger and hatred pouring from the she-wolf, I swear I could hear the laughter of Shinigami echoing through the chamber.

Ever since I revealed the child to the village Danzo has tried and failed on multiple occasions to gain custody, however I have managed to keep her safe much to the dismay of both him and Tsume.

Flashback

"has age really blinded your mind this far, she is a threat to the village and must be placed into the care of those who would be able to bring her into line, forging her into a mighty weapon for the village" even while his face showed no emotion, I could tell he was filled with rage.

"I will not hand her to a mad man who only seeks to gain power, nor will I allow you to turn her into a heartless tool" he must have really lost his mind if he thinks I'll allow him to take her without a fight "did you really think that I didn't know about your revival of the root, or the shady practices it now undertakes"

With those final words Danzo did not even hesitate to hide the truth, small but noticeable change he filled the room with killing intent -as if that would frighten me- "a tree is only as strong as the roots that bind it, tell me old friend do you really think that you can that little pup safe for long" and with that he turned and with a stride filled with pride began to leave the room.

"I don't care what you know about the child, but I will never let you gain your hand dirty hands on her, and if you dare try know this, by my name as the hokage I will make you pay for every second you have her"

Flashback end

Luckily for both me and Tsume he had called the meeting to discuss the raising fear and mistrust in the Uchiha within the village -even though most of that came about from his own creation- this of cause lead to shouting match between the Uchiha clan head Fugaku and the rest of the council, even though it had been confirmed many of his clans men including himself had undergone a trip to IT, which confirmed their innocence. However, this did little to deter Danzo.

It had been a total of 30 minutes before I could regain control of the situation, but like some times before Danzo pushed to force the Uchiha to the outskirts of the village, which had try -albeit failed- to intervene on the Uchiha's side until Danzo pulled out his trump card.

"A new rumor has recently been brought to my attention, one regarding the demon and how the Uchiha seek to reclaim what is theirs" lies and manipulation where the tools of all ninja, and the one-eyed dog new how to use them well. It was a shame he had just played the wrong card.

Almost without a second to spare the entire room filled with an almost lethal killer intent forcing even me to shudder, while many of civilian council fainted from pure fright somewhere unlucky enough to be sat to close and died on the spot, Hell even Danzo began to sweat when faced with the wild beast he had just awakened.

"Tsume calm yourself, this is not the time nor the place" I had hoped she still had some semblance of a consciousness left to hear me, if not I don't think anyone would be able to hold her back with resorting to bloodshed.

Tsume's Pov

Uchiha this Uchiha that, is that all the one-eyed maggot can talk about, thank kami Hiruzen had managed to take back control, I have all but lost interest in the listening to these meetings anymore unless they involve my clan or the events regarding shinobi affairs.

"…regarding the demon and how the Uchiha seek to reclaim what is theirs".

Well shit looks like danzo ain't going to last much longer
