"Long time no see, regulars!" Did you have enough rest?" Kaba asked. "I know it wasn't that long, but I hope you spent it well. You all look motivated!" She said as she looked around. "Thanks to the break I guess. Very well. I hope you guys all do your best on the test that begins today! I will now explain to you the test that begins now. The test is called the Position Test."

"Position test?" Yoshikata asked. "Which means…?"

"Yeah, I think a lot of you have noticed already, but fighting in the tower is usually done in teams. The position is the role that you'll play during these battles. There are a lot of different positions, but basically there are these five. The Fisherman, or Angler, who disarms the enemy by using the reel inventory. Thus they are always the heart of the battle. They can also carry out individual activities. The Spear Bearer uses spears to target enemies from behind to finish what the Fisherman started.

"The Light Bearer lights up the dark tower, collects battle data, and sends it to the scout. The Scout observes the enemies' movements at the forefront using the observer, and helps the Fisherman when he charges. Finally, the Wave Controller controls shinsu to assist in battle or overpower an opponent. They are known to dominate the battlefield. Of course there are more positions beyond these five, such as the guids, but those don't pertain to you. Now look." He motioned to a golden slab. "This Table shows your position according to the results of the previous tests."

Among the Fishermen were Saori Sanada Zahard, Tobe Ai, and Shiro Yoshikata. Among the Spear Bearers was Yusuke Kida. Among the Light Bearers was Ochako Uraraka. Among the Scouts was Yamamura Keiji. Finally, among the Wave Controllers were Katsuki Bakugo, Izuku Midoriya, and Urumi Zahard. Three names had the title "Best Seed" next to them.

"Hey, what does the best seed title mean? Asked a regular.

"Best seed? People with the best seed are the ones who did the best in the previous tests."

"There were four tests," Deku said after a pause. "Why are there only three best seeds?"

"Well, the best seed for the crown game went to the next floor, so we had to give the best seed title to someone who already had the title from a different test. You, Mr. Midoriya. The best seeds get a bonus point in the final positioning, Midoriya you get two."

"Bullshit!" Bakugo shouted. "How did Deku get more points than me!?"

"Stop asking the small things, and get ready for the test." Kaba said, glaring at Bakugo. He harrumphed and sat back down. "Well that's it for today. The position teachers will explain the detailed schedule for the test later. Please follow the guide and go to where your position teachers are."

-Heroes of the Tower-

Deku, Bakugo and Urumi led the group of Wave Controllers. Deku's hand had healed up significantly, and Bakugo noticed this.

'I'll win, Deku...Just wait and see.' They got to position training class 7 and sat down. Their teacher walked into the room. He seemed to be a lizard person. His skin was green and he had a long tail. His hair was brown and spiky and he wore a blue button up shirt, and jeans with a hole in them to make room for the tail.

"My name is Kinji Okada. I'm in charge of the wave controller position. Shinsu is the world itself. Shinsu helps us breathe and live life. Also, it is the core of all energy. We can't do anything without shinsu. Shinsu can be water, fire or light. It can change in infinite ways. There is no word that can describe this fantastic element. It is like a blessing from God. Controlling shinsu is like interrupting the role of God. Because it is so powerful, it is dangerous to control shinsu. I could kill all the regulars here within five seconds. Isn't that scary?" He asked with a grin.

"As controlling shinsu is so dangerous, In order to use it without any special item, you need to get permission from the floor's administrator. You can use the items without permission because they were already permitted by administrators at the workshop after they were made, but if you're using more than a specific amount of shinsu, it's a different story. You should get permission from the administrator. This is generally called a contract. The contract must be done in the same way on every floor or you'll be restricted when controlling shinsu. The winners of the crown game obviously made contracts beforehand.

"So let's learn how to make a contract with the administrator. First, close your eyes, and change your pocket into visible mode." Deku had been given a pocket by Yuhan in the days leading up to this. "The E-Grade pocket you were given as you first entered the inner tower allows you to make contracts with administrators up to the 40th floor. In order to make contracts with administrators higher than that, you have to buy a higher rank pocket. And now, say to the pocket, 'contract with the administrator.'" Each of them did so. When Deku did, he found himself in a dark space, he turned to see a massive monster.

"I am the administrator of this floor. Are you here for a contract?" Deku stared in awe of the creature. "Say something. Aren't you here to make a contract?"

"Oh, yeah. I am."

"Okay, then let me see if you are qualified to control shinsu." after a second, it made a noise that sounded like a gasp. "You…! You look tasty. Ah...haha...thank you...Okay, let's make a contract."

"Thank you!" Deku said.

"But remember, Climber of the tower," The administrator started as white particles seemed to swirl around Deku. "For you, this is not strength, it is shackles. Always remember this." Deku opened his eyes, and his pocket said, "2F Contract completed."

Two day later in special test spot 2, a cliff in the middle of mountains where the spear bearers were, their teacher, Noriyori Tatsuda, spoke.

"The first day, I taught you how to make a contract. The second day I taught you how to use the spear. I like keeping things simple, so I'll put an end to the basics. Today, let's try something more fun. And that fun thing will be to hit a really close target." He pointed to a far away target.

"Really close, huh?" Kida commented, snarkily.

"Now, each one of you come forward with a spear and hit the target. Sounds fun doesn't it? Oh and one more thing. Anyone who hits the target within four days will pass the test without any question." The group was excited about this. The guy in the green tracksuit went first. He was so off the mark, everyone laughed at him.

"Here, let me show you how it's done, a taller, more buff guy said to him. He threw his spear and was more off the mark than the tracksuit guy. Everyone laughed even louder this time as Kida stepped up. She threw her spear and hit the target. The laughing stopped altogether, and Kida made her way to a rock to sit on while the others tried and failed to hit the target.

'Damn, I didn't understand most of it.' Deku thought to himself. Someone sat beside him. He looked over to see it was Urumi Zahard.

"Hi. Looks like you're having trouble." she said. "I'm Urumi, nice to meet you!" she held her hand out to Deku.

"Hi, I'm Izuku Midoriya, But you can call me Deku." He said, taking her hand and shaking it.

"It's difficult, isn't it? Learning shinsu." she asked him.

"Yeah...I bet it comes naturally to you though, being a princess of Zahard." Deku replied.

"Actually, It doesn't. I was hoping I would be a Fisherman, like my sister. I was blindsided when I saw my name in the wave controller spot. Anyway, I think you're talented, so you should be able to pull it off."

"Thanks, I think you will, too!"

"Thanks!" She looked over to a frustrated Bakugo. "Let's just hope he doesn't pass. There's only room for two Wave controllers to pass, and I don't like him."

"Well, he's not that bad." Deku tried to defend his rival.

"Oh right, it seemed like you knew him. What did you call him? Kaachan?"

"Yeah, it's a nickname from when we were kids."

"So you're friends with him, huh?" Urumi looked unimpressed.

"Well, these days it's more like rivals." Deku said. There was a pause.

"Hey, let's try controlling shinsu again, it might end up better this time."

"Sure, but I don't know if it'll work."

"Well no one will say we didn't try, right? Now, let's go over what the teacher said. He said to hold out our hands, and imagine that all the world gathers in our hands and becomes a circle." They did so, and each created small balls of shinsu. "We did it! Deku, we did it!" She hugged Deku.

"Y-yeah, heheh, we did!" They then heard stomping coming toward them. They separated and saw Bakugo looking angry as he walked their way.

"Deku! Tell me how you did that right now!" He said as he grabbed Deku's shirt collar.

"Hey! Let him go!" said Urumi.

"Stay out of this, short stack!" Bakugo yelled as he picked deku up before being punched away by Urumi. Deku fell back to the ground, landing on his feet but stumbling a little. Bakugo got up. "Fine! I'll figure it out myself, and when I do, I'll do it better than you, you worthless Deku!" Bakugo stomped out of the classroom.

"Well, that happened." Deku said.

"You said you guys were friends at one point?" Urumi asked.

"It's a long story." Deku said, embarrassed.

-Heroes of the Tower-

"Ugh, why do we have to come all the way up here to take boring classes?!" Keiji asked as he, Deku and Uraraka sat in Deku's room. While they chatted about the classes, Keiji remembered something. "Oh yeah, guys. I was given homework."

"Homework?" Uraraka asked.

"Yeah." He pulled a paper out of his pocket and unfolded it. "You guys want to be friends?"

"What?" Deku asked.

"It's this assignment, we have to write the names of ten friends on this paper and hand it in."

"Oh, then sure. Got a pen?" Deku asked. Deku and Uraraka signed the paper and eventually Uraraka and Keiji went to their own rooms.
