It's 3AM now, and everyone in the Kamado residence is already asleep. Except for one of Tanjirou's younger siblings, Takeo Kamado.
Takeo slowly walked into the kitchen in the dark. If any of his siblings or his parents spotted him in the kitchen now, he would be in trouble. His eyes were searching for a certain crunchy food...
Cookies!
Nighttime is perfect time to took the cookie jar into his bedroom since the rest of his family were sleeping. Well, Takeo actually don't like it when he had to share the cookies with his younger siblings, especially the cookie-loving duo, Shigeru and Hanako. And Takeo still can't forget what happened in the previous evening...
(Flashback)
When Takeo opened the cookie jar, he was shocked when only three cookies were left in the jar.
"You guys ate most of cookies!?" Takeo whined.
"Yeah" Shigeru and Hanako nodded.
"At least keep some for me!" Takeo said in disappointment.
"But there are still enough cookies for you" Hanako pouted.
"That's not enough for me!" Takeo shouted.
"Hey, what's the matter?" Kie walked towards her children.
"Mom! Shigeru and Hanako ate most of cookies!" Takeo pointed his index finger towards Shigeru and Hanako.
"Don't worry, there are still cookies baked in the ovens" Kie smiled.
"Don't let them eat the cookies anymore" Takeo pleaded.
"Takeo is so mean" Shigeru said. Takeo only sticked out his tongue.
"Takeo, don't be so rude to your younger siblings" Kie scolded.
"That's not fair, mom always back them up all the time" Takeo huffed as he then walked away.
(End of flashback)
Takeo couldn't let it happening again. Better he eat the cookies first before they does.
Finally, he found the cookie jar. The cookie jar was placed on the kitchen cabinet. Quickly he rushed towards the cabinet. He quickly took the cookie jar from there.
Unfortunately for Takeo, when he proceeded to bring the cookie jar into his bedroom, Takeo noticed the lights were switched on out of sudden, much to his shock.
"Takeo..."
When he turned behind, it was Tanjirou, the eldest of Kamado siblings who switched on the lights.
Tanjirou came to the kitchen because he wants to take his apron before heading to his family's bakery.
"Ni...nii-chan..." Takeo was startled.
"What are you doing in the kitchen?" Tanjirou asked in suspicion.
"I'm just...I'm just...thirsty... yeah, thirsty" Takeo's body was shaking slowly.
"If you are thirsty then why are you holding a cookie jar?" Tanjirou asked again.
"The cookie jar is...a bit dirty, so I...cleaned it" Takeo tried to speak.
"Hmmm..."
As Takeo carefully stepped backwards, Tanjirou's steps were getting closer to him, until Takeo's back finally bumped on the cabinet.
"Liar" Tanjirou narrowed his eyes. "You want take those cookies for yourself, right? What about Shigeru, Hanako and Rokuta? Why are you so greedy, Takeo?"
Takeo was silent in fear.
"Put it back, as your elder brother I wouldn't allow it" Tanjirou ordered.
"But..."
Put it back, before I tell mom and dad!" Tanjirou gave Takeo a sternful gaze.
Takeo was upset as he reluctantly put the cookie jar back on the cabinet.
"Now return to your bedroom, you can't be late to school tomorrow" Tanjirou said.
"Fi...fine" Takeo slowly replied as he returned to his bedroom.
Tanjirou understand it, Takeo loves cookie but taking away the cookie jar when everyone is sleeping is not a good idea.
(6AM)
Takeo still couldn't sleep after what happened. He just want to eat the cookies, yet Tanjirou didn't allow it. He's so upset, very upset.
Takeo suddenly heard someone opened his bedroom door. It was Tanjirou, dressed in his school uniform. Takeo quickly closed his eyes and pretended to sleep as Tanjirou then put something on his study table. Before Tanjirou left his bedroom, he felt Tanjirou was patting his head, whispering "I'm sorry".
As Takeo switched on his study lamp table, he saw a small pack of chocolate chip cookie with a yellow note placed on his study table.
"Just don't do it again, okay? I love you! : )"
"I'm sorry, nii-chan" Takeo slowly shed his tears as he read the note.
Takeo started feeling ashamed of his earlier actions. He promised to everyone, he would never repeat it again.
