Hours have passed, but there was no sign of the sun or the moon. Not even a clock to check the time. Is this what hell is like? Is this what eternity feels like? Bex was sensing a mental breakdown from behind. Tears blinded her vision and squeezed the oxygen out of her. The girl's heart pounded hard against her chest making it harder for her to focus. She attempts to shake it off and return to work before Miku gets annoyed.

But it was too late…

"Hey, you! No slacking!" she yelled.

"S-sorry!" Bex cried.

She took a few deep breaths and proceeded to create any song that just might be considered good enough in the diva's eyes. With a stroke of luck via the randomizer button, it tuned the guitar in such a way that it sounded amazing. This gave the girl an idea! Miku hasn't sung any hard rock tunes in ages so this just might please her. It'll be a nice throwback!

Once it was done, Bex presented the song to her boss. "I'll give it a pass," she said. "But I'd like to see you in my office in ten minutes."

"Yes, mam!" Bex saluted.

Why would Miku want this girl in her office? Whatever the case may be, Bex didn't get her hopes up for it. If she could escape and live to tell the tale, it'll be the miracle of the century. Legend does have it that someone almost made it out, but was crushed by the gates. What a way to go!

Miku called Bex to her office and she proceeded with the utmost caution. The halls were industrial looking; gears turning 24/7, red and yellow lights preventing darkness overtaking the factory, and hazardous signs everywhere. Miku's office was grey with a slight modern touch. Albeit prison like, this gal's got some weird taste!

"Why did you call me here?" Bex asked, taking a seat.

Suddenly, she's locked down to the chair with no means of escape. Miku throws the desk against the metal wall and gazes fiercely at her slave. The chair leans back forcing Bex to face the blinding light above.

"You aren't fit for this job!" Miku blurted. "You can fool others with that act, but you can't fool me."

"What are you talking about?" Bex asked. "I thought you gave my song a pass!"

The blue twin-tailed girl pulls out a holographic screen showcasing her employee/slave's vitals and they are out of control. What does this have to do with working? Bex can't work under pressure like this. Ergo, she can't meet Miku's standards.

"Why is it that I 'force' people into working and then 'fire' some later on?" she asked, pulling out a knife. "It's so I can test their potential, but if said potential is the scum of the earth like you, then I extract the song embedded in their body."

"I'm sorry, but what?!" Bex gasped.

To put it bluntly, each person carries a song Miku can extract from a person's body and feel satisfied regardless of how bad the person is. That's why so many perish in this factory; not many are qualified in her eyes and soon become her meal. She doesn't eat the person's body per say, she just eat's their "music box".

"'Music box'?" she asked, afraid to know.

"The brain storms up the ideas, but the heart stores the songs as it's the only part of the body with rhythm." Miku explained. "Don't worry, I'd like to have the satisfaction of your screams before the main course."

The knife treads on Bex's arms creating cuts that soon become deep. Her screams echo throughout the hallway, leading to the main room where everyone works. They sigh knowing another has fallen victim to Miku. It was inevitable at this point; Bex was going to die here. Her arms and legs are coated with wounds, her chest had a large cut so Miku can obtain the song she desires, and more injuries were on the way.

At this point, Bex was about to pass out from the intense pain and blood loss. But soon, an alarm would sound, stopping Miku from harming the girl. This alarm is to inform the twin-tailed girl on emergencies. Knowing Bex won't be able to escape, Miku leaves the room. No one is escaping or is in critical condition (except Bex), so what's going on?
