Naruto is like the fanfiction king, you can find him in almost every crossover. While that's dope and all, lets give Sasuke some love people. Emo, jackass, he maybe but you can't deny that he's always been a badass. The beginning of Naruto Shippuden says it all, he came back with Genjutsu, Chidori variations, fucking KIRIN, what did Naruto come back with... a bigger Rasengan. In terms of ability, I'll take Sasuke over Naruto any day but in terms of attitude, Naruto is way better... so don't be surprised if Sasuke seems OOC, he was 'influenced' by Naruto.

Disclaimer: I own nothing.

why?

Why?

WHY?

Why did that blond idiot care so much about him, why couldn't he just let him follow his destiny without fault, he's an avenger damnit, he needs the power, he needs his revenge.

But noooo, Naruto just had to try to stop him, damn that idiot and his tenacity, now…

...now he's dead because of it.

Sasuke thought he was ready, thought that Naruto was just another milestone on his path, thought that by killing, and therefore forever severing the bonds of the one cared about the most in the village, he would acquire the eyes needed to kill his brother… so... why did it hurt so much?

It all happened so fast, both Sasuke and Naruto had their signature attacks in effect, gunning at each other, but in mid-air, Sasuke realized something…

He has wings!

Using these extra appendages, Sasuke avoided the energy ball the best he could, using his own lightning blade to attack Naruto where he could not recover… his heart.

Breaking through Naruto's chakra coating (which Sasuke was still baffled by) was extremely challenging, but the Level 2 Curse Mark stage gave Sasuke just enough power. Naruto, however, did not sit idly by and allow himself to be attacked, he still managed to land his attack, just not in a fatal fashion like Sasuke did.

In the end, Sasuke could feel nothing but pain, his internal organs rumbling but when he looked at Naruto's eyes (his chidori still active through the spot where Naruto's heart should be), Sasuke felt a whole new kind of pain…

He actually did it… he killed Naruto…

His best friend… he was like a brother!

What's the worth of his revenge if he became just like the clan murderer…?

Unbeknownst to Sasuke, his curse mark was retracting and his eyes started to change into an intricate form, quite different from the usual three-tomoe form. Unfortunately for Sasuke, someone else saw the eyes…

Sasuke was quickly jerked out of his depression state as he felt his Chidori clash with some sort of chakra within Naruto's body. At first Sasuke thought (hopefully) it was Naruto, that his friend had somehow found a way to escape death once more, but after looking at the chakra with his Sharingan, he rebutted the thought.

The chakra was too inhumane, and yet Sasuke couldn't look away from it. The chakra started to form itself within Naruto's body, it was starting to look like-

ROOOOAAARR

In overwhelming fear, the avenger tried to jerk his hand away but before he could something strange happened. First there was an explosion, which further added to Sasuke's injuries and then a vortex which started to pull Sasuke in (he was too weak to even attempt resistance). As Sasuke was being pulled in, he started to lose consciousness. Despite this, his mind kept replaying the same thing over and over again…

ROOOOAAARR

There's no doubt about it, Sasuke knows the story, everyone does.

...It was the Nine Tailed Demon Fox

"Ughh, Katara stop rocking the boat!" A young dark skinned boy with blue eyes complained to a girl with similar features, who was in the middle of motions akin to dancing. The girl, Katara, immediately froze after her brother's complaint and gave him an incredulous look.

"Excuse me! I was on this boat first so you have no right to tell me what to do Sokka."

"True, but how am I supposed to catch the fish if I can't properly aim." Sokka then waved the spear he had on hand. "I need to contribute food to the tribe, Katara!"

His sister then rolled her eyes. "Oh please, the tribe will be alright without your contribution."

Sokka's eyes narrowed. "What's that supposed to mean."

Katara raised her index finger, "Well, first, the fish you bring are always too small," She then raised her middle finger making something similar to a peace sign. "Secondly-"

"I've heard enough from you, doubter!" Sokka cut her off before she could continue berating him. When Katara was speaking, Sokka had managed to get a glimpse of something beneath the waters… something huge… like human size huge. 'Katara thinks I could only catch small fish… hmph, I'll show her.'

"Watch this-" Sokka cried out as he rammed his spear into the waters, hitting the fish dead on. When he pulled his spear back, the reddening waters and lack of movement had assured Sokka he was victorious. "Too easy!" He sent Katara a smug look. "You're about to eat your words."

Katara rolled her once more. She looked at where Sokka had made his hunt and noticed that… "Sokka wait," Her brother was too focused on his game to listen. "SOKKA!" Panicked, Katara reached out her hand and the water burst, like a balloon with too much air, knocking Sokka back and, luckily, the 'huge fish' onto the boat, which happened to be an actual person, a boy around their age.

"What the hell, Katara!" Sokka cried out in outrage "That was my‐my… that's not a fish."

Katara glared at Sokka with all she could muster, "Oh really, what gave it away."

Katara went to the boy and turned him around (he landed on the boat face down). "He's still alive." She could see him breathing and his body was surprisingly warm, as if he hadn't just been bathed in freezing waters.

The first thing Katara noticed about him was that he was very handsome, which caused a little bit of blood to rush to her face, but that feeling ended as soon as she noticed the amount of wounds that littered his body, the most recent being the spear wound on the back of his thigh. There was also something very striking about the boy…

"Those are some weird tattoos." Katara glared at her brother once more for his nonchalant tone, as if he hadn't just stabbed someone. How did he confuse a human being with a fish in the first place! "Where do you think he comes from," Sokka continued ignoring Katara. "I don't recognize the type of clothes he's wearing."

"I don't know but he's badly injured." Resolve suddenly filled Katara's eyes. "He needs our help. Let's get him back to the tribe. Maybe Gran Gran can help him."

Sasuke found himself in an unknown location. It was a dark place, too dark to see anything, even his Sharingan couldn't help clear up anything.

"Sasuke, how could you. How could you kill your best friend."

'M-mom? N-no, mom I didn't mean to–'

"Where did I go wrong? To think both my sons turned out like this. You two do not deserve the Uchiha name."

'Wait, D-dad? It's not like that. I'm nothing like Itachi.'

"Foolish little brother, is that what you think?"

'I'm nothing like Itachi, I'm nothing like Itachi, I'm nothing like Itachi, I'm nothing like Itachi, I'm nothing like Itachi,'

The voice of Itachi chuckled. "Oh really, why don't you tell that to him."

All the darkness disappeared and Sasuke found himself back at the Valley of the End.

"S-S-Sasu-Sasuke." Sasuke didn't want to look but his body was not obeying him. "W-why did y-you do this t-t-to me…?"

"I-I'm sorry Naruto." Sasuke choked. He had now just realized there were tears flowing from his eyes.

"You're sorry." Naruto's eyes turned red and became slitted ('like a fox' Sasuke noted). As his wounds vanished, the same dangerous red chakra from their final battle started to form around him again. "Is that all you have to say for yourself, SASUKEEERROOOOAAARR"

Sasuke woke up with a jolt, breathing heavily. 'A dream' He thought. He touched his face and realized that he had been crying in real life. His mind was still aching, he saw it again, the Nine Tailed Fox… it made no sense to Sasuke, how is the fox related to Naruto, was Naruto the Fox… was… was he possessed?

"You're awake, that great!" In an instant, Sasuke's shinobi instincts came back to him. He immediately leapt off the bed, landing several feet away from the source of the voice. It was a blue eyed, brunette girl around his age. What really surprised Sasuke about her was her dark skin, something Sasuke had never seen before, though he has heard about dark skins that resided in the Land of Lightning.

"Hey, my name is Katara, I'm here to help you." Katara said as she raised her hands to show Sasuke she wasn't a threat.

But Sasuke's wasn't taking any chances. The location Sasuke was at did not fit the description of Orochimaru's base so he knew that he wasn't at… wait, is the hut made out of ice?

Sasuke looked around furiously. The nighttime didn't deteriorate his impeccable vision at all. He could see it all clearly, ice and snow everywhere!

'I haven't anything like this since the Land of Snow.' Sasuke thought in shock. 'Just where am I'

"Um… hello, are you there…" Katara asked as she waved her hand trying to get his attention as he was spacing out.

Sasuke berated himself for that blunder, Shinobi must always remain vigilant, that's how you survive. Speaking of which, there's another Shinobi rule that came to Sasuke's mind at that moment. When you're lost on what to do, a tactical retreat is always the best option… so he ran. He didn't know where he was or where he was going, all he knew was that he needed to get somewhere where he could get his bearings properly.

"Wait… you won't survive on your own out there." He heard the girl shout.

Sasuke didn't care. With Naruto's death, the fox, the... vortex and now this snowy tundra, Sasuke's mind was a mess right now and being around strangers wasn't going to help him.

So he left Katara with her mouth agape, not because of his rudeness but because of a misunderstanding that was coming into development.

'D-did he just run on water!?'

Katara was right, Sasuke probably would have died out there.

He had hoped that maybe he was really in the Land of Snow and that he would recognize something but after hours of running, but Sasuke was no closer to noticing anything familiar. In fact, he was made more confused the longer he ran.

After he caught sight of a population of four flippered penguin… otter... monstrosities, Sasuke gave up, swallowed his pride and made his way back to the Ice village.

And now he was facing Katara once more and, since it was now morning, she was not alone this time.

"It's good to see you've come back, I was worried." Katara said with a smile as the rest of the villagers watched on with anticipation, except the dark skinned boy who kept glaring at him.

"Where am I?" Sasuke asked simply.

"If you had just asked, you could have been saved from the trouble of running around on your own last night." Katara said. "This is the Southern Water Tribe."

'The what,' Sasuke thought in confusion.

"So," She continued "Who are you, what's your name?"

"I'm…" Sasuke contemplated telling them his name – by now he should be a wanted missing-nin – but... maybe he can count on Orochimaru to find him first. "Sasuke… Sasuke Uchiha."

Katara looked a little shocked and Sasuke noticed. Sasuke thought it was because of his Uchiha name and he wasn't far from the truth. Katara was actually shocked he had a family name, something unusual in their world's culture except for an extremely high class family.

Sasuke put Katara's shock at the back of his mind but kept his suspicions up. "How did I get here?"

"Me and my brother found you unconscious in the waters south from here three days ago." Katara answered. "Beyond that, I have no idea."

"I-I see." She didn't seem to be lying so Sasuke was now wondering what happened with the vortex.

"So where do you come from, Sasuke." Instead of Katara, one of the village children asked him the question.

"The Villa–" Sasuke paused and subconsciously touched, where his forehead protector should've been which confused the villagers. Does he have the right to call himself a Leaf Village shinobi anymore? "A village in the Land of Fire." He finally answered but his answer had an unexpected reaction.

To Sasuke's surprise, looks of horror fell upon the entire village. Katara's eyes suddenly hardened, a look of resolve entered her eyes, the will to protect those she cares about. The color of her eyes along with that look was all too familiar to Sasuke

'Naruto'

"I knew it! I told you he couldn't be trusted, Katara!" The oldest male in the tribe, who had been constantly glaring at Sasuke, yelled out, bringing the Uchiha back from his phase. He ran in front of Katara and put his arm in front of her defensively, glaring even harder at Sasuke now. "Now what does Fire Nation want, haven't you already taken enough from us!?"

…Wait, Fire Nation? "I think there's been a misunderstanding."

Cursed Mark Senjutsu chakra from Sasuke's Chidori clashed with the Nine Tails yokai chakra in Naruto's body creating a bullshit isekai-like, only explained by anime logic vortex which transported Sasuke to the ATLA world (best I could come up with, don't judge me). Anyways, Naruto is dead. Don't get the wrong idea, I don't hate Naruto, anyone who hates Naruto has some serious mental issues they need to get checked out, he's just so damn likeable. I killed Naruto because to traumatize Sasuke so that he can realize that maybe he's going about the Itachi problem the wrong way... and so that the trauma could distract him and nerf his abilities a little at the beginning.
