Note: I hope you like this. I am trying to catch the characteristics of the kids; Tali, Victoria, Morgan, and Johnny based on the information we know from the show despite the fact that isn't much. I hope you like it and feel like the kid's personalities make sense. please let me know what you think. enjoy.
Very special DiNozzo
The team starts to arrive first arrived Torres and Bishop together. When Torres notice Jack is already there, he looks over at Bishop with a knowing look. Jack notices it, but she doesn't say anything but only shoot him an angry look. Bishop begins to help Jack mixing the salad and prepare things in the kitchen while Torres quickly joined Gibbs at the grill. Soon after came Ducky, along with the Palmer family. Victoria was a little shy and kept to either her grand-Ducky or her father's hand. The grill is heating up just fine, so Gibbs handed over the responsibility to Jimmy, to Jimmy's big surprise. While Gibbs steps into the house to get a few things. While he is in the kitchen with Jack, Bishop, and Breena, he hears the front door open.
"Tali, you need to knock first." Tony's familiar voice is heard from the front door.
"no, I don't," Tali responds. "GIIIIBBBBSSS," Tali screams out.
"Tali," Tony says, reprimanding his young daughter to stop yelling. "GIBBBBSSS," Tali screams again once she catches a glimpse of Gibbs coming around the corner of the living room to the front door. Tali jumps into the arms of Gibbs, and he happy lifts her up to a big hug. His smile is unmistakable joy.
"Tali." He greets with joy, and they hug each other.
"is that young miss Tali I hear?" Ducky asks, coming in from the back yard.
"what gave it away?" Tony asks sarcastically.
"did you hear I yelled for Gibbs?" Tali asks Ducky.
"I think the dead people in autopsy woke up and heard you, Tali," Tony responds.
"no, they didn't abba," Tali says and looks at Gibbs and shakes her head at her dad's silly comments, which amuses the adults, including Jack, who has now joined them.
"agent Sloane. Good to see you again." Ziva greets Jack.
"Good to see you too." Jack greets and shakes hands with Ziva before moving onto Tony.
"and you must be Very Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo," Jack asks with a smile. Clearly, she has heard stories about him, probably from McGee and Bishop.
"the one and only." Tony reply's, but before he can shake hands with Jack, he is interrupted by Tali. "no, you are not." Tali says, very determined. Everyone looks confused at Tali and then at Tony. Tony is clearly well aware of what Tali means.
"no, I am not," Tony admits, clearly painfully agrees with his daughter.
"Tali, why don't you show Gibbs," Ziva asks. Gibbs look confused at Ziva and then at Tali. Gibbs places Tali on the floor once she starts moving to come down.
"look, Gibbsi," Tali says. That is her new way of pronouncing Gibbs's name. It doesn't seem to bother Gibbs since he doesn't comment on it. Tali opens her little summer jacket and shows Gibbs what is supposed to look like art and craft made NCIS badges.
"wow, very special Agent Tali DiNozzo-David," Gibbs says, but to his surprise, Tali shakes her head so eagerly that her blonde curls are flying everywhere.
"no," Tali says, and Gibbs looks confused at her and then to Tony and Ziva.
"very Special Tali DiNozzo David." Tony corrects.
"I am not an Agent, Gibbs, but I am special, so I am very special, Tali," Tali explains.
"makes perfect sense. you are definitely very special." Gibbs agrees and places a kiss on the little girl's forehead.
"is my cousins here yet?" Tali asks while she takes off her jacket and places it on the chair. She already seems to feel very much at home in the Gibbs-house.
"no, they are not. Victoria is here. She is out in the back yard." Gibbs says and walks outside with Tali when Tali takes Gibbs's hand.
"Well, hello to you, do Gibbs," Tony says quietly for Tali not to hear it.
"well, it was Tali's idea for everyone to gather here. So let her have the spotlight." Ziva says while taking Tali's jacket and hanging it nicely on the hook behind the front door. Tony and Ziva continue to chat for a bit with Ducky and Jack until they are interrupted by the front door flying open. A young girl about 3 years old comes running in.
"hey, Morgan," Jack says to the little girl.
"Jackie." A young boy's voice is heard, and soon after Morgan's twin-brother Johnny, who is a lot shyer than his sister appears. He walks over to Jack and gives her a hug while Morgan quickly runs to the backyard the moment, she hears Gibbs voice. Johnny looks back at the two unfamiliar adults standing behind him. He doesn't seem very comfortable with the situation, so Johnny is holding on tight to Jack, whom he is familiar with.
"It is okay, Johnny. That is Tony and Ziva." Jack explains, but Johnny hides his face in Jack's chest. She lifts him up and gently runs her hand down his back to comfort him.
"where is the Mc-daddy since I assume that is the Mc-Twins," Tony says.
"right here, Tony. Give me a hand." McGee is calling from the front door. Tony walks around the corner to see what is going on. Delilah has trouble getting into the house over the front step. Tony quickly assistant his friend.
"Hey, Tony," Delilah says while he is helping McGee. Once they have gotten Delilah in her chair through the front door, they can finally properly greet each other.
"you need to work out some more, Mc-Weak," Tony says, laughing at his own joke.
"at least he didn't tell me to lay off the donuts today." Delilah jokes and looks accusing at her husband.
"no, you didn't," Tony says accusingly at McGee.
"That was once. I was in a bad mood." McGee defends himself. He is then handed his wife's jacket to hang on the rack.
"where did the twins go?" Delilah asks.
"if I am not mistaken, find Jack, and you will find Johnny. Follow the noise, and you find Morgan."
"The noise might as well be Tali," Ziva says once they have entered the living room where Ziva is with Ducky and Jack, who is, as McGee predicting, hold Johnny. Johnny is almost asleep with Jack.
"Ziva." McGee greets with a big smile and hugs Ziva.
"oh, so all I get is a cranky order of helping you while you are all hugs and kisses on Ziva?" McGee asks sarcastically.
"hugs, yes. kisses… no." Tony says and looks disgusted at McGee.
"I think that is the first he has ever said no to that." Ziva jokes.
"There is a first for everything." Dalilah joins in.
"so Very special, Agent DiNozzo; what are you up to these days," Delilah asks.
"Please don't say that," Tony asks, looking directly towards the door to the backyard. Everyone, especially McGee, seems very confused.
"you don't want us to call you Very Special…" Tony interrupts him by shushing him.
"Tali gets very upset," Ziva explains.
"why?" Ducky asks. "I am deducting it might have something to do with her badge?" Ducky asks.
"yes. I received a call from Director Vance a few weeks ago. He said 'Agent DiNozzo' but corrected it to Mr. Then when Tali came to the screen he said 'hi Tali' when Ziva went on the screen he said 'hello Agent David' but corrected it to miss."
"he didn't use Tali's last name?" McGee observes.
"exactly," Tony says.
"she got very upset, and now she insists on being 'Very Special Tali DiNozzo-David.'"
"not very special, Agent?" Delilah asks.
"no. just very special," Ziva explains.
"well, she is very special," Tony says.
"yeah, you sure make sure to tell her that daily," Ziva argues, and Tony is about to argue back, but McGee starts laughing. Tony and Ziva look annoyed and confused at him.
"somethings never change with you too," McGee says, amused, and it makes everyone chuckle.
"Did anyone see where Morgan went?" McGee asks once he has properly greeted both Jack and Ducky and there is an appropriate break in the catching up talk.
"outside," Jack responds while she continues to run her hand down, almost sleeping Johnny's back.
"who else is here?" Delilah asks.
"everyone except Abby," Ducky informs them as they all walk outside together. "she is still living in London. she seems very happy over there. she is now working with rescuing animals." McGee adds.
"sounds like the perfect happiness for Abby," Ziva says.
"yeah." Tony agrees while he discreetly, but not unnoticed by Tim and Ducky, takes ZIvas hand.
Now the 'family' is gathered. There is a lot of noise, especially from Tali, who is playing with Morgan and Victoria. It is mostly Tali and Morgan that can be heard. Johnny is comfortably snuggling with Jack while the adults are chatting with each other. Gibbs is standing at the grill while pleasantly enjoying the look of his 'family' bonding together. This family is a lot bigger than the one he had when he was a kid back in Stillwater, but he feels just as relaxed and comfortable.
