"Just remember, he's going to try to make this your fault somehow. Don't let him", Roman said.

Megan nodded.

"Wade helped me get ready for him. I have a retort for anything he throws at me", Megan said.

"He's going to bring up your past", Dean added.

She nodded.

"I know, like I said, Wade helped me get ready for him", she replied.

Everyone nodded and walked into the court room. Dolph was watching Dean as he entered. No Aly. He smirked. Dean wanted to so badly jump over the barrier and beat the shit out of him. Wipe the smirk off with his bare hands.

Roman set a hand on his shoulder.

"Don't let him get to you. Its what he wants. He'll use it against you later", Roman reminded.

Dean nodded and sat as the judge did. They called Megan up after the judge went over yesterday. Lana walked over to Megan with a smile.

"Your brother is a Mr. Dean Ambrose, am I correct? Which means Alyssa is your sister in law?", Lana asked.

Megan nodded.

"Correct", Megan said.

"Do you know this man?", Lana asked, pointing towards Dolph.

"I do", Megan replied.

"How did you two meet exactly?", Lana asked.

"He had me kidnapped.", she replied.

The jury mumbled.

"Do you know why? Did he or the men who took you ever say why?", Lana asked.

"Dolph did. He said it was to hurt my brother", Megan answered.

Lana nodded.

"You use to be an addict, am I correct?", Lana asked.

Megan didn't flinch, she knew they would ask that. They wanted to get to it before Dolph had a chance to use it against them.

"Yes, my entire family actually. Well, all except my little brother Dean. He did good.", Megan said, smiling while tearing up.

"Were you sober when you were kidnapped?", Lana asked.

"Yes I was. I like to go back to where I use to score and help others get sober too.", Megan said.

"Now in a statement you said to police, you said the men who took you told you they were cops and that something bad happened to your brother, is this correct?", Lana asked.

Megan nodded.

"Yes. They even showed me badges and a photo of my brother. Said something bad happened to him. I believed them, but then, they hit me on the back of the head and I woke up in a basement. Dolph was there when I woke up", Megan explained.

"Did he say anything to you?", Lana asked.

Megan swallowed.

"He smiled, it was cold and evil. He said my brother was going to get what was coming to him.", she replied.

"Fast forward a few weeks, someone joins you", Lana said.

Megan nodded, tears welling up in her eyes.

"My niece, Madeline. I didn't know she was my niece till she told me who her dad was.", Megan said.

"What do you think he was planning to do?", Lana asked.

"Kill us. To hurt not only my brother, but my sister in law too.", Megan said.

Lana nodded.

"Thank you Miss Ambrose, that's all", Lana said.

The judge nodded. Dolph stood and smirked. It was the same one he had when she woke up. Evil.

"Are we really going to take the word of an addict? For all we know she's lying. She could have been high and imagined all this. I sure know I didn't kidnap you.", Dolph chuckled.

"I wasn't…", he cut her off.

"I was never in any basement. Yes I know those men, they clean my house and pool. I trust them in my home. I didn't know you were there. If I did, I would have helped you", Dolph said.

"Your honor, Mr. Ziggler isn't on the stand. If he's not going to ask Miss Ambrose questions, let him sit down", Rusev said, standing.

The judge nodded.

"Mr. Ziggler, stick to asking questions", the judge said.

"I apologize, you're right. I'll have my moment to explain things, to tell the truth", Dolph nodded.

Megan rolled her eyes.

"Miss Ambrose, I have no reasons to hurt you. I apologize for what those men did. No questions your honor", Dolph said, stepping back to his side.

Seth leaned into Dean.

"That's it?", he asked.

"He's up to something", Dean whispered.

Dolph stopped.

"Wait, never mind, I do have a question", Dolph nodded.

Megan sat back down.

"How long had it been since you've seen your brother?", he asked.

"A few years.", she answered.

"Why?", he asked with a shrug.

"He didn't want to be around us. Didn't want to catch our bad habit", she replied.

He nodded.

"So he didn't want anything to do with you? Didn't want his family around you? His kids?", Dolph asked.

"We under…", he cut her off.

"Did that make you angry? Angry enough to plan this whole story of me kidnapping you just so your brother could forgive you and welcome you with open arms?", Dolph asked.

"And end up in your…", Dolph cut her off.

"No further questions", Dolph said with a smile.

Megan sighed. Rusev stood.

"I want to hear what you were about to say before Mr. Ziggler rudely cut you off", he said.

"I was going to say, how did I end up in his basement if I planned all this? Like really. I love my little brother and understand why he didn't want his family around us. I would never do such a horrible thing to scar a child the way he did", Megan said.

Dolph clicked his pen with a smirk.

"No further questions", Rusev said with a nod.

The judge let Megan down. The judge rubbed his eyes.

"Are the parents of Madeline Ambrose here today?", he asked Rusev and Lana.

"The father is", Lana replied.

"Have him step forward", the judge said.

Dean stood and approached.

"Mr. Ambrose, I would like the opportunity to speak to your daughter. Lawyers and you present of course. No one else. I will be asking all the questions", the judge said.

Dean swallowed.

"I would need to discuss this with her mother, if I may", he replied.

"Of course. Let your lawyers know by the end of today. The sooner I speak to Madeline, the better", the judge said.

Dean nodded.

"I think that's enough for today. See you all back here on another day", the judge said.

Dean wanted to avoid putting Maddie in this, but that wasn't happening.

"What are you going to do?", Nikki asked.

"I don't want my baby girl in this mess", Roman said.

Dean squeezed his friend's shoulder.

"Neither do I, but I feel like if Maddie talks to him, it could help put Dolph away", Dean said.

"Lys won't like this", Brie added.

"I know", he replied.

After saying goodbye to everyone, Dean made his way home. Getting inside, Alyssa was asleep on the couch. His mom came out of the kitchen.

"Where are the kids?", he asked.

"Your brother and Ric took them to the park.", she replied.

He nodded and bent down to kiss his wife's head.

"Has she been asleep long?", he asked.

"Two hours. She is stressing too much. Needs a break from all this", his mom said.

"I wish it was that easy. There is no break from this, but hopefully its over soon", he replied.

Alyssa stretched as best she could, rubbing her eyes before sitting up. She smiled when she saw him.

"You're back. How did it go?", she asked.

He sat beside her and shook his head no.

"No talks of the trial. Okay.", he said, kissing her wrist.

She smiled and nodded.

"Lets go out. Maybe get some ice cream", he said.

"Ice cream sounds good", she nodded.

He helped her up and they left. Dean letting his mom know. She promised to get the kids fed and showered. They were walking hand in hand while enjoying their ice cream.

"I'm sorry, its been awhile since we've had date night. Promise to do better before Lizzie comes.", he suddenly said.

"Its fine baby, I get it. Trust me, I'm busy too. Getting things ready for Lizzie, Maddie and Oliver's schedules. I am just so glad your family is here to help right now", she replied.

He smiled.

"But if we are apologizing for things, I'm sorry I haven't been in the mood lately.", she said.

"Babe, I get", he said.

"I know, but I feel so bad because a few days ago you wanted to and I shut you down", she said.

He chuckled.

"And I understood. I love you Lys, and there is nothing in this world you could ever do or say to make me stop loving you", he smiled.

She stood on her toes to reach his lips.

"I love you more and more each day. I have the best damn husband in the world", she said.

"And don't you forget it, doll", he winked.

She giggled. As much as he wanted to bring up Maddie and her speaking to the judge, he didn't want to ruin his wife's good mood. Its been awhile since he's seen her smile without a care in the world.

He took his phone out and texted Lana.

"Maddie can talk to the judge. Dolph stays on the opposite side of the room, several feet away from her"- Dean

He didn't have to wait long for a reply.

"Of course. See you tomorrow"- Lana

He sighed, hoping he did the right thing by not telling his wife and letting Maddie testify.

"Everything okay?", Alyssa asked.

He smiled and nodded.

"All good. What if we take the weekend and make it a baby moon? No trial till Monday. I'm sure my mom and Ric wouldn't mind watching the kids", he said.

She smiled.

"Sounds very romantic. Let's do it", she nodded.

He leaned down and kissed his wife.
