"Maybe you should go see Dr. Bayley before we go on our baby moon", he suggested.
Alyssa nodded and rubbed her bump.
"Are you sure its okay I skip today?", she asked.
"Yes. As long as you go see the doctor. That way when I get home, we go straight to the cabin and start our baby moon", he winked.
She giggled.
"Deal", she replied.
His mom knocked before walking into the room. They smiled at her.
"Came to see if you needed anything dear", she said to Aly.
"Just the bathroom, but I can handle that part", she giggled, while standing and making her way to the bathroom.
"Did you tell her?", his mom asked.
He shook his head no.
"Sweetheart, you need too. If she finds out you kept this from her…", he stopped her.
"I know mom, but she is in such a good mood. I don't want to ruin it with this", he said.
She sighed.
"I will tell her, before we come back from the baby moon. I'm going to let her enjoy herself for a few days", he said.
She nodded.
"Maddie is ready", she said, before leaving the room.
He took a deep breath.
"Nervous?", Alyssa asked, coming out of the bathroom.
He could hear the shower running as she walked into the closet.
"Never, just tired of this and can't wait for our baby moon", he replied.
He walked over to her and kissed her.
"I love you, and I will see you after. I might take Maddie out for ice cream, I've been too busy for my princess", he said.
"She would love that, especially since she won't be the only princess in this house anymore", she replied.
He nodded and rubbed her bump.
"I'll see you", he said, kissing her forehead.
Getting downstairs, he was glad Alyssa didn't follow. Maddie sat on the couch with her hands in her lap. Megan sat beside her.
"Alright princess, ready?", he asked softly.
Maddie nodded and took his hand after he offered it. His sister was coming for support for Maddie.
Getting to the court room, he saw Lana and Rusev. Maddie looked up at him.
"Its going to be okay. You know Lana and Rusev.", he said.
Maddie nodded. Lana held her hand out and Maddie took it.
"You will be sitting next to me, miss Madeline", Lana said sweetly.
Maddie smiled up at her.
"Is he here yet?", Dean asked.
Rusev nodded as they followed after Lana and Maddie. Getting inside the room, Dolph was there, Maddie stopped and hid behind Lana. Rusev let Megan know she could sit in the back, but not interfere.
The judge walked in and sat behind his desk. Dean and Lana between Maddie and Dolph.
"Alright, I kept this small because I didn't want to scare this sweet little girl more than she already is.", the judge started.
He looked at Maddie and opened his draw, pulling out a lollipop.
"If I may, Mr. Ambrose?", he asked.
Dean nodded and Maddie smiled before taking it. She sat back down.
"Okay sweetheart, do you know why you are here?", he asked.
She nodded.
"My daddy says its to talk about the bad man who took me", she replied.
The judge nodded.
"That's right. Now can you tell me if that bad man is in here today?", he asked.
Maddie squeezed closer to her dad and poked her head around him.
"He's over there", she whispered, before hiding behind her dad again.
The judge nodded.
"Let the record show, she is pointing towards Mr. Ziggler", the judge said.
After he wrote it down in his notes, he looked at Maddie again.
"Was it only the bad man, Maddie?", the judge asked.
She shook her head no.
"If I showed you pictures, do you think you can point them out to me?", he asked.
Maddie nodded. He set out random photos. Dean did recognize Konnor and Viktor.
"Alright, Miss Maddie, who else was a bad man?", the judge asked.
She stood and looked at each one. She pointed to one photo, then another before sitting down. The judge nodded and lifted the photos.
"Let the record show, she pointed to a Mr. Konnor and Mr. Viktor", the judge said, eyeing Dolph.
"If I can speak?", Dolph asked.
"Not till after the child has left the room. You will have a chance to fight any of her answers, but not with her here", the judge said.
Dolph sighed.
"Maddie, do you remember where they took you from?", the judge asked.
She nodded.
"I was going to school and one of those men took me. I tried to scream, but he covered my mouth. I bit him like my mommy told me to do, but it didn't work", she replied.
"Well you were very brave", the judge said.
"My aunt Megan was there too, but I didn't know she was my aunt yet. She was very brave too", Maddie said.
The judge laughed softly.
"Did those men ever touch you?", he asked.
Maddie was confused. Dean leaned in.
"Remember when you and mommy talked, about where people can't touch you, and that if they do you have to tell mommy and me?", Dean reminded.
Maddie nodded.
"But they didn't", Maddie replied.
The judge nodded.
"Anything you want to add, Miss Maddie, about that day and the bad men?", the judge asked.
Maddie smiled.
"My uncle Roman saved me. He's the best", she said happily.
The judge smiled. Dean kissed the top of her head.
"And I will be talking to him soon", the judge said.
Maddie nodded.
"If you want to step outside, we have cookies set out for you. Go on and enjoy, I need to speak to your daddy for a minute", the judge said.
Maddie nodded and ran to her aunt Megan, who took her hand before walking out. The judge sighed.
"This isn't looking good for you, Mr. Ziggler", the judge said.
"How do we know they didn't train her to say those things or to point to Konnor and Viktor? She was coached.", Dolph said.
"There was no training. Its called memory, you left her traumatized. Her parents are sending her to a therapist and she's been doing really well", Lana said, handing the papers the therapist gave her.
The judge nodded. Dolph chuckled and shook his head.
"I think that's all for today. See everyone back in the court room on Monday", the judge said, standing and walking away.
Lana, Rusev, and Dean left right after Dolph stormed out.
"You think we should be worried?", he asked, nodding to a pissed off Dolph.
"We have a private eye keeping an eye on him. He so much as drives by your street, we will know", Rusev said.
Dean nodded.
"My wife and I were thinking about getting away for the weekend. The kids will be staying with my mom and step dad.", Dean said.
"Don't worry. The guy we have on Dolph will warn Wade, make sure the kids are counted for and safe.", Lana said.
Dean nodded.
After getting ice cream, Dean let Maddie burn it off at the park. She had fallen asleep on the way home and he took her to her room.
Alyssa walked in and smiled.
"Man, you wore her out", she giggled.
He chuckled.
"All packed up and ready to go?", he asked.
She nodded.
"Just wanted to say goodbye to my babies, but one of them is asleep", she said, kissing Maddie's head.
"I'll take the bags to the car, then say bye to Oliver", he said, walking out of the room as Alyssa nodded and covered Maddie.
Megan walked in and set Maddie's shoes by the door.
"She's exhausted, but she did so well", Megan said.
Alyssa chuckled.
"At the park? I guess she does", she replied.
Megan's smile fell. Dean hadn't told her not to say anything to Alyssa.
"No, while talking to the judge.", Megan said.
"She what?", Alyssa shouted.
Maddie moved a bit, but didn't wake up. Alyssa walked out of the room, followed by Megan. She helped Aly down the stairs as she was speeding to find Dean.
"I don't need you falling, Aly", Megan said.
"Dean Ambrose, get your ass over here. Now", she yelled.
"Oh, bad mommy", Oliver said.
"Sorry hun, I didn't see you there", Alyssa said.
Dean came rushing in.
"What? What's wrong? Is it Lizzie?", he asked, placing his hands on her belly.
"No, its Maddie. Who the hell said it would be okay to take her to talk to the judge and involve her in this?", she asked.
"Shit", Dean sighed.
"Oh daddy, no no", Oliver said.
"I'll take Ollie to the kitchen and let you two talk", Megan said, lifting Oliver into her arms and to the kitchen.
"Well?", Alyssa asked.
"I did. I have a right too, I'm her father. I know I should have talked about it with you, but, I know you would say no", Dean said.
"So you went behind my back", she shouted.
"Her testimony helped us. The judge was the only one talking to her. I swear", Dean said.
Alyssa shook her head.
"Not the point. I needed to know, Dean. That is my baby too", she shouted.
"And I'm so sorry I didn't tell you. I really am baby. I just see how stressed you are, and yesterday you were in such a good mood, I didn't want to ruin it", he said.
"What do you think is happening now?", she asked.
"Hun…", she cut him off.
"Cancel the baby moon. We aren't going anywhere", she said.
He stopped her.
"No, we are going. I don't care if you don't talk to me for the whole weekend. You need this, we both do", he said, gently lifting her.
"Dean", she gasped.
His mom came out of the kitchen.
"We will be back late Sunday night", he said, quickly walking out.
His mom nodded. He opened the passenger door and set Alyssa inside. She pouted and crossed her arms over her chest.
"I love you, please try to enjoy yourself, even if its not with me", he said, kissing her cheek.
He walked around the car and got in. He expected her to get off and walk back inside, but she didn't.
"Want something to eat? It's a long way to the cabin", he said.
She didn't want to speak to him, but she was hungry.
"Double cheeseburger with fries and a chocolate shake", she said.
"On it", he nodded.
She had fallen asleep as soon as she finished eating. Not waking till they got to the cabin. She stretched as best she could before getting off and shaking out her legs.
It was the same one they got every summer. Inside, the furniture was covered with sheets for the dust.
"Let me clean up some of the dust before you go inside.", Dean said.
She nodded and sat in the rocking chair on the porch. Rubbing her belly as her daughter moved. She smiled when she kicked.
"She moves a lot more than Maddie and Oliver ever did", Dean chuckled once he finished inside.
She met his eyes.
"Doll, please stop being mad at me. I really want to enjoy this weekend with you. I won't have you all to myself for a few years", he said.
She reached for his hand and he gave it to her.
"I get why you did what you did, but when it comes to our kids, we both have to agree on it.", she said.
He nodded and kissed her wrist.
"Agreed", he said.
