The courtyard before Babel tower was brimming with people, despite the fact it was early in the morning. It also served as a general meeting area for Parties of all Adventurers to group up and meet before heading down the Dungeon. A Chienthrope sat by the fountain for the designated meeting spot for where she would meet the Party that she will work with down in the Dungeon as she carried with her a large back for all the items that she and the Izanami Familia can carry into, and ditch if need be if something bad happened…
'No, don't think like that.' Naaza soon berated herself, her nerves had been getting the best of her ever since she decided to go back to the Dungeon.
The day after Dian Cecht gave his ultimatum to Miach and herself, Nine, the Captain of the Izanami Familia came in to propose a solution to their debt. Naaza would become the Izanami Familia's Supporter and in exchange for her services, she would get paid half of their loot. Something that Naaza agreed to in an instant despite her God's protest, sad fact was their Pharmacy was not doing too well and not making enough money for them to cover their living expenses and their debt, which is why she accepted to do so.
After they set up the days in which she came, she got herself ready for Dungeon Exploration and tried to beat down her nerves. 'Don't worry, the Izanami Familia aren't like other Adventurers, they won't leave me behind.' She thought to herself as Shinobu explained Naaza's…trouble, and they all accepted it without trouble and for that she was grateful to know that they won't demand much out of her.
She still brought her weapons just in case though since you never know what will happen in a Dungeon, but if the rumors she heard about the Izanami Familia was right then she won't be needing it at all. Considering that half of their members were considered to be Powerhouses by themselves, which later proved true when she saw them in action.
"Miss Naaza!" Bell's voice called out as Naaza blinked and turned to see Bell and the rest of the Izanami Familia. "Sorry we're late." He apologized.
"Do not worry, I always make it a habit to be as early as possible." Naaza simply responded with a smile.
"Alright then, so here's the plan for today, we're going to go down the Twelfth Floor this time." Nine spoke as usually they would have gone down deeper but the Izanami Familia needed Naaza to get used to going down the Dungeon again, and for the past couple of days been going at a steady pace for her sake.
"That's fine by me." Naaza said as Nine nodded as they all went down the deeper levels of the Dungeon, while Naaza would have been nervous, she'd seen the skills of the Izanami Familia first hand.
"I just realize, I never seen Honda go out with you guys except from time to time, or mainly dealing with Boss Monsters." Naaza noted as they traversed the Dungeon with the Izanami Familia.
"Well it's usually because we leave him with Lady Izanami to guard her, as there are some people that are not so big on us due to the rumors, we created around ourselves." Nine explained as Naaza nodded, there were some Adventurers that got jealous of others for their quick progression and power levels and an Adventurer's source of power hails from the Falna, and getting rid of Izanami would cost the Familia their Falna.
"Besides, the big guy's strong enough to go solo if he wanted to, and does do that from time to time to make sure he's not falling behind." Ragna added in as he remembered sparring with Honda, and the big guy reminded Ragna of his battles with the white armored freak and his mentor.
"Very true." Velvet nodded, being the only to have accompanied Honda before they got to the city and she could attest to his skills for sure.
"Besides, Honda is the type to loyally stay by his Master's side unless being called out to do tasks." Shinobu added in, as a couple of days later after Honda had joined, she suddenly remembered where she heard his name and was shocked to see the actual Honda in person, and know what's his personality like based on the historical records in her world, despite the fact he's from a different reality.
Soon the Familia reached the Tenth Floor and Nine gave out her orders for Bell, Asuna, and Emma to deal with the monsters there. As Naaza looked at them in worry, Ragna patted her on the shoulder and didn't looked worried as he motioned for her to look to see the trio take on a group of Orcs that came out of the mist and the trio charged at the Orcs.
Bell quickly rushed up and cut through the neck of the Orcs with his sword and blitzed through them with ease as he remained too fast for the Orc to see. Ever since he got his Skills, his Stats have increased drastically but as Ragna beat it into his head, to never stop being cautious. Which soon paid off as Imps came out and jumped up to ambush Bell and he spun around and kicked one hard in the head and send it flying at the other Imps into a wall and quickly cut them down before they could get back up.
Emma went lower and started cutting through the legs of the Orcs, to disable their ability to run or move around a lot, and at the same time left them screaming. And once she finished cutting their legs, she then rushed up and stabbed the first one, cut down the second one, and then slashed through the last couple of monsters with her blades before kicking an Imp that was hiding and stabbing it in the head and killing her share of monsters.
Asuna was surrounded by Imps and soon one of them tried to jump at her and she thrusted her rapier into the throat of the Imp and soon the other Imps jumped at her, hoping to take advantage of her weapon not being free. But Asuna ducked down and threw the imp on her blade as she swung her blade around, while it didn't kill most of them, it did buy her time for her to stab and slash through the Imps that were knocked down and soon she quickly made mincemeat of them as they all were stabbed or slashed to death.
At that Naaza couldn't help but be shocked at how skilled the three rookies of the Izanami Familia became, is this a result of them living and training with strong people?
"Look's like all the training that you guys gave them paid off." Nine nodded with a pleased expression on her face.
"Thank you, also Shinobu I noticed that Asuna's picking up some of your fighting habits." Velvet said to her.
"She mainly uses thrusts and stabs, and all I did is give her some advice on how to utilize those techniques better." She replied.
"Do you plan to teach her your Breathing Style?" Akame asked.
Shinobu shook her head. "Asuna already has her own fighting style." Shinobu replied. "I only helped refined her skills a bit."
"So, Nine, do you think you can start teaching them Magic now or what?" Ragna asked.
"They did manage to get past the Fourth Floor by themselves." Nine noted. "I can star a schedule for them to start learning the basics of Magic, I do hope they prepared themselves." She noted a bit gleefully as the rookies shivered in worry as Ragna could only hope the kids managed to survive her training.
"Strange." Nine muttered as she frowned as she looked around.
"What's strange?" Ragna questioned, knowing that Nine would a good reason to state that.
"It's been five minutes and there haven't been any monsters yet here on the Twelfth Floor." Nine replied as the group were tense from the lack of monsters appearing.
"Exactly, monsters would normally appear here, yet they haven't." Naaza said nervously.
"Is it me or is it somehow more misty than normal?" Ragna questioned as he felt his nerves cranked up.
"Not only that, but remember when the Tenth and Eleventh Floor had mist as well?" Akame added in her own observations.
"Something's changing, we can't see too well in here." Shinobu frowned.
"Should we head back?" Velvet questioned.
"Yes, we don't know what kind of changes might be here." Nine nodded, normally she could go ahead with the other Drifters, but they had their guest and rookies with them.
Then Akame turned and narrowed her eyes in a direction as everyone else wondered what she's doing. "I hear something that way." She eventually said.
"…We'll check it out, but be vigilant." Nine ordered as everyone nodded as everyone headed into the direction that Akame pointed to slowly as they kept their eyes peeled for monsters and then they caught a bad smell.
"Smells rotten." Akame grunted.
"Like rotting meat." Emma muttered.
"Because it is." Velvet said as she walked ahead and showed the group the rotting corpse of an Infant Dragon. "Someone must have killed it but forgot about the Magic Stone." She noted as she pulled it out as the corpse vanished.
"Assuming it was an Adventurer who did this." Shinobu muttered as everyone turned to her and saw that she pointed to a fresher corpse with claw marks on them.
"Monsters attacking their own?" Akame muttered.
"Everyone." Velvet called out as they came across multiple monster corpses all rotting away.
"Okay now something's wrong here." Ragna replied looking around prudently.
"Infant Dragons aren't common as Level Two Monsters." Nine said in concern. "And yet this many have been killed, we need to get out of here now." She ordered.
"Well, well, if it isn't the damned cheaters!" An obnoxious voice called out as Ragna groaned from annoyance as out came a large group of Adventurers with the lead being a short yet solidly built man with sienna spikey hair, goatee, and brown eyes wearing scale mail armor and carrying a large sword on his back.
"What do you want this time, Kibaou?" Nine sighed out.
"I'm here to teach you cheaters a lesson, you think you can come in and lie about killing my Goliath with your stupid prowess?" Kibaou said obnoxiously.
"You mean the Goliath that almost killed your stupid sorry ass?" Ragna retorted.
When the Drifters arrived at the at the Seventeenth Floor to kill the Floor Boss, another group of Adventurers tried their luck and most of them got wiped out and Kibaou was the one who got saved when Ragna came in to kill the Goliath. Out of anger, shame, and jealousy, Kibaou had been spreading bad rumors about them.
"Lying your Ass huh eh? Well guess what, many Familia Adventurers don't like cheater so they sent me plenty of help." Kibaou said arrogantly as he had thirty plus Adventurers, all with different Familia Symbols on them, with him as he took a moment to glare at Nine for that one time he insulted and called them cheaters and he got a fireball thrown at him.
"In case you haven't notice, but this isn't the time to be dealing with this, we got bigger problems to worry about!" Naaza called out urgently.
"And what would that be?" Kibaou scoffed.
"Look around you! Look at how many Infant Dragon corpses there are, don't you think that it's odd that this many spawned and yet nobody collected their Magic Crystals yet?" Naaza said trying to reason with him. "Not to mention the mist here is stronger than normal."
"Excuses, excuses, you're just saying that now, because you know you guys are outnumbered." Kibaou scoffed though some of the smarter Adventurers did take note of what Naaza said and continued on before any of his thugs started getting cold feet. "So, kill all the guys and leave the girls, got to have some fun." He said lecherously.
At that everyone from the Izanami Familia pointed their weapons at Kibaou and his thugs with Naaza sighing at how it failed until they started hearing screams and shots of shock and pain.
"What's going on?!" Kibaou shouted as something slithered through the grass at high speed, taking out and ambushing the Adventurers that came with. Soon more Adventurers panicked and screamed as the sound of their lives being ended could be heard. The Izanami Familia and their Supporter took this chance to tense up their legs and then…run away!
"What? Hey come back here, you damned cheaters!" Kibaou shouted half in anger and half in panic only to be smacked to the ground and felt something crawling on top of him as he turned to see it was a lizard like monster with a lithe, raptor-esque body, with blue scales and black stripes, and a dull red crest on its head and its mouth resembling that of a bird beak. Kibaou didn't have time to scream in horror as the monster tore into his throat.
"What was that?!" Bell shrieked out as they got far away from the thugs and monsters, while the dying screams of the thugs would forever haunt his dreams.
"I've never seen any monster act that way before." Naaza said in a panic as her nerves were shot now.
"Some kind of new monster!?" Asuna freaked out.
"Calm down!" Nine barked out. "For now, retreat to the stairs! Ragna take point! Akame, left side! Shinobu, right side! Velvet, cover our back, and everyone else in the middle." Nine ordered as they did that and quickly rushed back as fast as they could to the stairs, and they saw that some of the smarter Adventurers were doing the same but they were being ambushed by the monsters, who seem to be working together.
"They're Pack Hunters." Akame noted. "They take out the lone prey by themselves and work to separate the ones that aren't." She added in.
"They're also quite fast." Nine scowled as they seemed to be dodging her magic spells with ease using their agility.
"No doubt they're the ones who killed those Infant Dragons." Shinobu noted as she looked at Naaza in worry as her trauma seems to be hitting in full force right about now.
"The mist and grass work to their advantage, for Pack Hunters, this is the perfect hunting ground." Velvet scowled as they reached the stairs and Nine created a massive fire wall between them and the Floor.
"We need to go, that won't last forever." Nine said seriously as they all nodded and went up to the next Floor and were shocked to see that some of the Adventurers that weren't with Kibaou but working with him regardless, to make sure they couldn't run away were being attacked by monsters similar to the ones on the Twelfth Floor as they screamed in pain and agony.
One of the Adventurers crawled up to them as his body was mangled and part of his face was melting and reached out to them before dying and same time got a closer look at the newer monster. This one had vivid red skin, with black markings, and purplish lavender color by the limbs. Their head crests were large and well rounded, as their lower jaw curled outward significantly as the saw one spat out acidic poison that got onto the face of an unlucky Adventurer with said face melting.
"So, they're here on this Floor as well, and these ones can spit out acid." Ragna said with a grimace as he readied his weapon.
"Most likely another nesting ground." Velvet noted.
"It doesn't change anything, head back to the Tenth Floor and maybe we can make a counterattack there." Nine commanded. "Same formation as the last Floor." She ordered as everyone nodded and rushed their way through.
Kibaou had gathered lots of adventurers to do his bidding and now they were all dying, and seeing all these people dying left the rookies very squeamish and horrified. "Should we do something?" Bell asked Nine.
"We can't." Ragna spoke up. "We could fight them well but this is their turf, sorry kid as much as I want to help them, we can't afford to do that now." He grimaced at all the lives lost so far.
"Trying to help them, would only slow us down and they could try to separate us." Velvet added in.
"I…I understand." Bell nodded, but still feeling bad about leaving these people to die. Naaza, Asuna, and Emma felt the same as well but their own safety was at stake and so all they could do was run as they tried to escape the Eleventh Floor to the Tenth Floor.
"What the Hell's going on down there?!" A question erupted from Loki, as Miach and Izanami stood next to her, as they shared the same questions as her. As Loki was interrogating Eina outside Babel Town with many Adventurers from the Ganesha Familia getting ready with a good number of Gods and Goddesses to the sideline looking very upset or crying hysterically.
"I don't know." Eina responded as she gulped at the look Loki gave to her. "All we know for sure is that the Deities started to feel that their connection to their Children are suddenly being cut off at a rapid rate and we have no idea what's going on." Which worried the three Gods as the only ways for a connection to be lost is if the Deity in question returns to Heaven or if their Children's been killed.
"How many are gone?" Loki asked with a nervous and worrying sweat drop coming down her face.
"More than thirty Adventurers have been confirmed lost and that number is rising. The Guild put in a no pass zone on the Dungeon right now." Eina explained gravely.
"Which Floor is this happening on?" Loki asked in worry as her Children were at the Deep Floors, which Izanami could sense as clear as day.
"Is there nothing we can do right now?" Miach asked in worry for Naaza.
"At the moment the Guild's assembling dozens of Adventurer Teams to go down into the Dungeon to find out what's going on most of them coming from the Hermes Familia and Ganesha Familia." Eina explained.
"Do we know the source of the commotion?" Izanami asked in worry.
"So far all we know is that the main trouble is coming at the Twelfth Floor." Eina explained causing both Izanami and Miach to pause in terror as their Children were heading to the Twelfth Floor.
Seemingly responding to Izanami's distress Honda turned to Izanami and started to get ready for combat. "Honda." Izanami breathed out as she noticed Honda acting to go as his eyes sent her the message which she understood. "Please bring everyone back." She ordered as Honda nodded and rushed his way to the Dungeon, surprising everyone with his immense speed despite his size. "Please be safe." Izanami whispered.
"Damn it, getting annoyed by them." Ragna growled as he slashed through two monsters as he and the rest of his group had to fight their way to the Tenth Floor, as much to their annoyance, was filled with the different monsters trying to take them down, and these monsters had yellow and green skin and a pair of crests over their eyes.
"Three different variations for the three Floors." Akame noted as she turned to Naaza. "Has this ever happened before?"
"No." Naaza whimpered, now under the control of her trauma. "Nothing like this ever happened before."
"Get to the stairs!" Velvet shouted as she cut down another monster in her way and as soon as they reached the stairs a loud roar could be heard and everyone turned back to see that two monsters looking similar to the three variations they've encountered so far, but larger and one red and the other blue, leading a pack of monsters to them charging at them.
"They must be Floor Bosses." Ragna muttered. "Okay, Bell, Emma, Asuna, and Naaza, get out of here now, we'll take care of them." He said as the rookies and Naaza turned to him in surprise.
"You want to fight them now?" Emma asked in disbelief.
"They seem to be pursuing us, and we can't fight and protect you both at the same time." Ragna explained.
"And they seem stronger than a Goliath, so no telling what kind of damage they might wreak on the Upper Floors." Shinobu added in.
"Go now, Captain's orders." Nine commanded as the rookies reluctantly left with Naaza in tow, allowing them to focus on the monsters before them. "Well now looks like we got a challenge." Nine smirked.
"Let's rock!" Ragna roared as he charged up energy into his blade. "Dead Spike!" Ragna shouted. As a wave of dark energy came from his sword and becoming the shape of one of the Black Beast's heads and swallowed a portion of the group of monsters, but the Floor Bosses were smarter and dodged them.
Akame dashed through and used her Imperial Arm to cut through as many monsters as she could, but even if she didn't successfully cut through them, the poison that her weapon had was more than enough to finish them off. As she blocked an attack from the Twelfth Floor Monster and narrowed her eyes at it. "Execute." She muttered as she allowed the monster to overshoot and cut through its legs.
One of the Floor Bosses charged at Velvet who quickly brought up her Gauntlet Blade and used it as a shield to protect herself from the Floor Boss's claws at backed away and swung its arms around at her, with Velvet either blocking or dodging every swing that came flying at her. And rushed at the Boss as it lunged at her and ducked underneath it as she made several cuts to its legs and undid the bandages that Six replaced for her and out came her demonic clawed arm. She soon roared as she smashed her hand against the Boss as it struggled to get out only for it to slowly break down and die as Velvet killed it and claimed its Magic Crystal as she wrapped the Bandages around her arm again.
"Impressive." Shinobu noted as she jumped down after stabbing multiple monsters and rushing to Velvet to check up on her.
"You know Ragna, whenever Velvet uses that arm, she kind of reminds me of you when you're using one of your Drives." Nine noted as she blew up a monster.
"You think." Ragna muttered as he chopped down a monster trying to ambush him.
"Kind of like a female version of you." Akame chimed in covered in blood.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Ragna frowned as he punched the face of a monster too close to him.
"Remember her backstory?" Nine pointed out.
As Ragna was going to protest, Shinobu spoke up. "Wait I have an important question if there's a Floor Boss based on the monsters from the Twelfth and Eleventh Floor, then where's the Floor Boss for the Tenth Floor?" She asked in worry as her question was soon answered by a loud roar from the Upper Floors.
"Shit!" Ragna cursed.
"It must have gone up ahead before we got here!" Akame said in worry.
Soon more Monsters came charging at them and with them the remaining Floor Boss. "Looks like we're going to have to go fast, no telling what kind of trouble Bell and the others might have gotten into." Nine grimaced
"They're trying to delay us!" Velvet called out.
"Then we go all out." Ragna said darkly as Nine nodded as he used more of his Azure Grimoire and Nine started using her most powerful spells, they hope that Bell and the others could fend for themselves until they come.
"Are you sure they'll be fine?" Naaza asked as they ran to the surface.
"Don't worry, they're strong and won't take too long to kill the Boss Monster." Emma assured.
"Dealing with Boss Monsters is easily for them." Asuna added in as Bell suddenly stopped. "Why did you stop?" She asked Bell.
"Something's wrong." Bell said as he tensed up as shouting came from one of the tunnels, terrified cries were heard as an Adventure was running away from the tunnel. As thundering footsteps were heard followed by a beastly roar after the Adventurer.
And out came a middle-aged Adventurer, in poor condition running and then panic was written all over his face as he saw the group. "RUN!" He shouted before a large jaw clamped his head and devoured it before a quickly paling group as it turned to face the quartet, revealing itself to be a monster like the other two Floor Bosses before it roared viciously at them.
"Naaza, run to the entrance now!" Bell said to her as he shakily drew his blade as did the other two as Naaza looked at them in surprise.
"What?" She gasped out.
"We'll buy as much time as we can, just get out of here." Emma said as she nervously pointed her blades at the Floor Boss.
"But." Naaza tried to protest as Asuna interrupted her.
"Now!" She yelled, as the monster came charging at them and no matter what they did, they were simply too weak to beat a Floor Boss of this level. Naaza's body took control and went on flight as she ran for her life and the three Adventurers let out a roar as they faced the Floor Boss.
'Useless, Pathetic, Weak, Cowardly!'
Those were the feelings that Naaza felt as she ran away. There was no way for any of those three to beat a Floor boss with only at best, a couple weeks' worth of experience. She was a Level Two Adventurer and would have an easier time facing such a Floor Boss and yet she ran like a coward, leaving the Izanami Adventurers to face the Floor Boss. And yet she couldn't, she could fight when it really meant it when facing that new monster and like a coward she panicked.
And yet Naaza couldn't stop running, as her mind was completely shadowed in fear of the new monsters that she had encountered. The part of her mind that wasn't controlled by fear made sure to keep her on the right track, all that mattered was keeping the distance between her and that Floor Boss.
And at the same time, she couldn't control her sobbing as her face was obstructed by her tears. She was so terrified and at the same time she couldn't stop this gut-wrenching feeling from tearing her up inside as she left the rookies of the Izanami Familia to fend for themselves.
Bell had told her to run and she had taken her chance to flee. Emma said they would buy her time, but they weren't strong enough to do so. Flashes of memories of her fallen comrades streamed into her head, as she hated the nightmares that plagued her since that fateful day.
Now unfocused, Naaza's foot hit a rock and she was sent sprawling to the ground, her bow sliding out of her hand and clattering several feet in front of her. And at that point she couldn't stop her uncontrollable sobbing. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." She whimpered into the ground. She hated this place, feared it so, robbed her of everyone, and she didn't want those three to die.
Just what was she thinking by coming back into this Dungeon? How foolish was it of her to go out on a whim into the Dungeon knowing her trauma wasn't ready for her to deal with yet? Had she been so ignorant to her own failings that she thought she could become an Adventure again with ease?
No, she wanted to overcome her trauma, but knew it would be a long process to do so, and the Izanami Familia graciously helped her out and were willing to reach out a hand towards her. But at their time of need, she ran like a coward.
"Don't be afraid." A voice in her head called out, Shinobu's voice. "Nobody's perfect, and everyone must go on their own pace. No matter how long it takes, I will help you no matter what." Yes, that was what Shinobu promised her when she took up their offer of becoming a Supporter. "No matter how long and dark the tunnel is, so long as people walk towards the light, the potential to surpass their old selves always exists." That's right, Shinobu believed in her.
Her crying soon slowed down when she heard those words and as she slowly looked up and saw half of her face reflected on one of the crystal-like substances in the Floor, she saw only the half that was scared and red with crying. And yet, the half of her face that wasn't covered was a helmet from an Adventurer that had fell here. As she stared at it, she knew that she had to do something.
She clenched her fists and tried to move her body, but it wouldn't respond to her, causing her to growl. "Come on Naaza, get up, come Naaza, you can do this, get up, get up, get up, get up!" She growled at herself as she dug her nails into the ground as she heard the shouts of Bell, Asuna, and Emma, and the large growl of the monster. "Get up, get up, get up, GET UP!" She shouted with all her might and soon her body responded to her.
She slowly got up bit by bit breathing heavily and harshly as she got up on her own two feet and once, she did so, she realized she was no longer shaking in fear. Seeing her bow, she picked it up and readied an arrow and turned to face the other way with a determined look on her face. "Hang on everyone, I'm coming!" She shouted as she rushed back.
Asuna yelped as she jumped away from the tail swing of the Floor Boss, which hit the boulders around it with enough force to shatter it into rubble. Before it suddenly redirected itself to thrust at Asuna sending her flying into the wall with a wince on the girl's face.
"Asuna!" Emma cried out as she rushed to help her with a potion she's carrying. As Bell in the meantime jumped up and swung his sword at the monster screaming to divert attention away from Emma and Asuna, which caused the monster to turn, but too late as Bell was able to strike a deep cut into the monster, causing it to howl in pain. Before it then snarled at Bell and reached out with its clawed arms quickly enough to grab Bell by the torso and glare at him before tightening its grip on Bell causing him to groan in pain before being thrown to the wall. The action of which caused Bell's chest armor to shatter as he coughed up blood and tried to move but realized that the monster had liquid dripping from its claws and figured it to be some paralytic acid.
"Bell!" Emma called out noticing his current status with worry picking up her swords she rushed up to get to Bell before the monster could but she simply was too far away and as her eyes widened in terror as the monster rushed at Bell. An arrow came out of nowhere and struck the monster in the neck, which didn't break past the skin, but disoriented it enough for it to be distracted and turned to face who shot it.
And before everyone was Naaza, breathing heavily, and sweating all over, but her face that once had fear written all over it was now brimming with determination. "Stay away from my friends!" She shouted angrily at the Floor Boss who roared back at her.
"Naaza! You came back!" Asuna said with surprise but also relief as Naaza nodded and chanted a Spell that she had told the Izanami Familia she was capable of doing known as Darbh Daol, a spell capable of summoning a swarm of bugs that devoured the flesh off of any living being completely. Which then targeted the Floor Boss's left arm and completely devoured the flesh off of it, causing it to scream in pain. Taking advantage of this distraction, Naaza unleashed several more arrows at the Floor Monster which hit it in its neck, causing it to gurgle for a bit as it tripped over a rock and fell over, buying them some time.
In that time, Naaza rushed over to Bell and helped him up while feeding him a potion to heal his wounds and then giving him an antidote to deal with his infection. "Naaza, you came back for us, even after we told you to run." Bell smiled weakly as Naaza nodded to him.
"I would never be able to live with myself, knowing that I ran while you three fought bravely." She replied as she teared up. "I'm sorry, but I will never run away again, not while my friends are still here." She said with determination as the three rookies smiled for her courage, which was cut short as the monster roared back furiously and jumped in front of them with an arm missing and plenty of scars to show for it. "Can you still fight?" She asked.
"I can fight, but don't expect a whole lot of out of me." Bell grimaced as he winced at the pain as Naaza nodded.
"That's okay." Naaza said as she took command as her experience and skills as a Level Two Adventurer finally showed. "Bell, you're with me, I need you to make the clan cut across the Boss's face or neck, Emma and Asuna, your speed will help the most here, I need you two to strike it around and distract and weaken the Monster well enough while I take shots with my arrows, once the monster is weakened enough, Bell will go in for the kill." She ordered as the other three nodded. "Good, then let's do this!" She yelled.
The three with her yelled in affirmation as the Monster roared back at them sensing a challenge and charged straight at them. However, Asuna and Emma rushed up to counter the monster whereas Naaza quickly drew multiple arrows and started firing them one after the other, with the speed of the arrows outclassing Asuna and Emma's speed. The arrows hit the monster, in not just the torso, but also the limbs and the face as well, staggering it a bit, allowing Asuna and Emma to get close as Emma yelled as she struck down the remaining arm of the monster but only managed to cut off the hand, leaving it without use of its clawed hands and venom.
Asuna on the other hand, while she had no arm to deal with, still had the tail to work against and she parried each attack from the tail that seemingly acted independently of its owner. But without the other limbs to focus on, it became much easier to work against and easier to counter. But the tail was still hard, which made cutting it much more difficult, then Asuna remembered a lesson that she learned while under Ragna. "If somethings too hard or difficult for yourself to handle, then imagine what could handle it." And with that Asuna maneuvered herself around the wall and let it get close to her as it impaled the wall and at the same time Asuna brought down her rapier with both her arms and all of her strength to cut down the tail.
Now with the conditions set and the monster heavily crippled, Bell charged in with his sword and the monster tried to back away seeing itself at a massive disadvantage, but his sword's superior reach manage to hit the knees of the monsters and causing it knelt down but still glaring at Bell as it reached out towards him with its stump of an arm but Bell dodged it at the last moment for the most part but still getting a bruise on his cheek as he made one last slash across its chest and widening the chest cavity enough for its magic Crystal to be seen and spotted. "Now Naaza!" Bell shouted as Naaza nodded as she had two arrows readied and took a deep breath and fired the shots which instantly struck the Boss Monster and soon it went still and then became ashes as it fell down.
Naaza fell to her knees breathing heavily as her adrenaline went out while Bell wobbled a bit and would have fallen had Emma not rushed up to catch him as Bell smiled at what the four of them did. "We did it! We beat the Floor Boss!" He cheered as the others smiled for a bit until they heard more growling and saw that the green lizard monsters were glaring and frothing at them in anger for killing their leader. Just as they were about to charge at the tired four a drill spear soon tore them all into pieces surprising them all.
Soon Honda made his appearance known and stomped mightily on the field as the monsters turned to him and saw him as the greatest challenge and threat right now. And soon they charged at him but for naught as Honda's great strength, skill, and technique proved too much for the monsters as he tore through them with ease. And soon everyone was glad to see him as they smiled and waved at him as Honda nodded back and beeped to them.
"Are you sure it's alright to send the big guy by himself?" Loki asked as she and the others sat on the sidelines still waiting for news.
"I'm sure, Honda is very strong after all." Izanami nodded as she had faith in her Children.
The Adventurer Teams that were being readied to go into the Dungeon were making last minute preparations when all of a sudden noises could be heard from the Dungeon Entrance as everyone got ready in case it was a monster and soon as it got louder and louder, and some Adventurers tensed up ready for action, they were all caught off guard when it turned out to be the entirety of the Izanami Familia with Naaza coming out of the Dungeon.
"Everyone, they're all right!" Izanami shouted as she rushed up to her children followed by Miach seeing Naaza among them. Izanami soon stopped by the Drifters first to see that while they were dirty, they were okay for the most part and then she turned to her three rookies, who all seem more bruised but alright as they smiled and waved at her. "Everyone, you're okay!" She sniffled as she did her best to hug her Children.
"Naaza, you're alright." Miach said in relief as Naaza nodded and smiled back at him. "And your eyes…they're different." He noted as Naaza nodded.
"I will never falter again." She said as Miach nodded in understanding and hugged her, which she returned.
"Well as much as I like this sappy moment, would you mind telling us what happened down there?" Loki questioned as she saw the dirty but still alive Izanami Familia and was privately impressed by them.
"Well now, that's a long story." Nine sighed out.
Soon the Izanami Familia, with the Guild Representatives, and some Deities sat down in a conference room inside the Guild as Nine recounted their story from seeing the corpses of the monsters with no Adventurers taking their Magic Crystals, to the ambush by the large Adventurer Group under Kibaou, and then the new monsters ambushing everyone to the mist that seemed to have gotten stronger but weakened once the three Floor Bosses and all the new Monsters were defeated. And they also explained the battles that all of them went through as Ragna, Shinobu, and Akame described the monsters for the most part, with Eina taking notes on them and their capabilities based on what they demonstrated so far. Miach and Izanami in particular looked proud when Naaza, Asuna, Emma, and Bell defeated a Floor Boss when they mentioned it. And then they finished the discussion with Honda appearing and escorting them to safety.
"I see, thank you for explaining everything." Eina nodded and bowed to them. "The information that you retrieved about the new Monsters will be most useful, especially if they become a permanent addition to the Dungeon." Eina said to them as the group nodded.
"And what about the Adventurers that tried to attack us?" Nine said calmly but also angrily and Ragna also looked kind of angry as well as Eina sighed.
"The Gods and Goddesses of those Adventurers denied any info about their actions, and even then, I doubt much will be done due to how many Adventurers and Children they've lost." Eina explained.
A lot of the group frowned at that, that seemed like getting a light slap on the hand still. "I admit, I am rather furious about what they've done." Izanami soon spoke up but soon started to look serious. "However, all I want them to know that nobody can do something like that again, am I understood?" She said more seriously than anyone else noticed which made the weaker willed people shivered a bit at her power.
"I understand." Eina said quickly as she nodded and left to update the info and as soon as she did so, Izanami turned off her aura and turned to her Familia with a kind and happy smile.
"Let's go back home now." She said gently as all of them nodded. "I'm just glad you're all okay."
Loki smirked at what she saw. 'Seems your kids attract quite a lot of trouble and attention.' She thought.
here you go for the next chapter and the show up of the new monster base on Monster Hunter game all three are base on Bird Wyvern
The blue one are Velociprey, the red one are Ioprey and the green one are Genprey. Since this is first time, I use very weak monster for Driffters deal with them easy while Bell, Asuna, Emma had hard time to deal with them. But don't worry the Flood Boss will more difficult I thinking about Fanged Wyvern, Flying Wyvern or Brute Wyvern.
The Neckbeard Knight had ask me about monster mascot/mount don't worry it will show up affter all the litter beast tamer Silica will need one after all.
Next chapter we will had litter break before the canon kick in with the return/first meeting of Bell secrect stalker Goddess. Introdu of Hestia familiar member ( they are canon character in Damachi game), Bell meeting with a group of maid (SyrxBell, RyuxBell and SyrxRyuxBell are the best) and someone are level up.
