Sorry guys. I forgot to mention that his housekeeper is an anthro orange tiger

Chapter II

Love between 2 foxes

A few days later, Jack sighed and placed his homework into his backpack then glanced out of his bedroom window towards the beachfront boardwalk and Cornerian Ocean. The boardwalk was very active, even during this late at night. Stacy had returned home from the TV studio an hour after he returned home from school earlier that day, and both she and Wolf had later gone out to dinner and a movie. Now, it was just him and Mary, who was also doing her homework (she was a 22-year-old student at Corneria University. He had his thoughts on a certain event which happened at school earlier today. A young, but beautiful blue vixen sat beside him during third period. Her name was Krystal Ceri. They only met briefly during a study period at the school library. Since then, that was all he was thinking about. After dinner, he completed his homework and placed it into his backpack. He didn't turn on his television nor his game console. Instead, he got up and left the room to find Mary finishing up her studying for the night. She was a student at Corneria University. The anthro orange tiger was only in her early-20's, but was slim and beautiful with thick, waist-length dark-brown hair.

"Hey, little brother." Mary greeted him, "Are you done with your homework yet?"

"Yea." Jack replied as he sat down beside her

"Good." Mary said with a pat on his shoulder, "I'm gonna make us some popcorn. Wanna watch a movie on tv with me?"

"Not right now." Jack replied, "But I do need to ask you something."

"What is it?" Mary asked as she got up and headed for the kitchen, and placed a bag of popcorn into the microwave.

Jack got up and followed her into the kitchen.

"It's about a girl in my English class." Jack replied, "Her name is Krystal Ceri. Met her briefly while we were at the school library today. I wanna ask her out, but what should I do?"

"First of all," Mary said to him as she reached into the cabinet under the counter and pulled out a large plastic bowl, "Find out if she is taken. If she isn't, that is when you ask her out. And when you do, be yourself. Do that, and you'll have nothing to worry about."

"Thanks, Mary." Jack said to her as he watched her remove the bag and opened it, then poured the popped popcorn into the plastic bowl.

He smiled when she kissed him on his forehead, then grabbed two soda cans from the fridge and joined her in the livingroom. They became close ever since she joined the household three years ago.

At school the next day, Jack, Fox, and Bill emerged from their Algebra class on the second floor of Corneria City High School and walked down the second floor corridor.

"Man, I cannot believe this. Two chapters we gotta complete by Monday!" Fox complained, carrying his backpack. "I hate homework!"

"Tell me about it." Bill added.

Jack didn't say anything. Instead, thoughts of Krystal after seeing her in their English class were still fresh in his mind. She seemed like a nice person, and she was beautiful. Still, he had to focus on walking down the corridor. He nearly walked into Pigma and Leon on his, Fox's, and Bill's way to their lockers, but Bill pulled him out of the way just in time.

"You almost started a fight back there." Falco said as he, Fara, and Katt walked up to them from their Cornerian History class.

"Hey, where's Slippy?" Jack asked as they walked up to their lockers and opened them.

"Slippy and Andrew have lunch detention." Katt replied, "They got into a fight during first period, all because Andrew took his seat."

"Geez, Slippy getting into a fight?" Fox said teasingly, "That's something you would have done, Falco."

"Well, I've toughen him up in middle school." Falco said in defense, "Ready to go to lunch?"

"Let's go." Fox said as he closed up his locker.

Jack closed up his locker and closd up his locker when he spotted Krystal walking up to her locker beside his, wearing a pink, long-sleeve shirt, a pair of blue denim jeans, a pair of blue denim jeans, and tennis shoes. She had blue sparkling lipgloss on her lips, and her blue hair went down to her back.

"Hello, Jack" Krystal greeted him sweetly as she opened her locker and began putting her textbooks and notebooks in.

Jack couldn't find the right words to say to her.

"What the heck, man?" Falco said to him with a startle, "Talk to her!"

"Knock it off, Falco." Katt spat at him, "He's nervous enough as it is."

She turned to him.

"Just relax, Jack." Katt said to her

"Hi, Krystal. H-how are you?" Was all Jack could say because he was blushing deep red, "Oh my god, this is so embarrassing. Just stay calm, Jack. She's beautiful, but just remember what Mary said, be yourself."

Krystal giggled slightly at the cute scene facing her. Fox watched all of this with a slight grin, then gestured everyone to watch as well. He was friends with Krystal, yet was dating Fara as well.

"I'm doing wonderful, thank you." Krystal replied as she glanced at him with her emerald green eyes. "He's handsome, and it's a good thing I'm not seeing anyone right now."

Krystal could not take her eyes off of him, especially since he had striking bright blue eyes. Bill wanted to snicker at Jack because of his expression, but stopped when he caught Fara's look she gave him. Falco gagged.

"Do you wanna have lunch with me and my group?" Jack asked Krystal as he closed up his locker. "Man, she has a beautiful British accent."

"Sure." Krystal replied, closing up hers as well. "But I'm already friends with them. I'm not taken though."

The rest of them closed up their lockers and began to head for the cafeteria on the first floor. They each grabbed a tray of food each and sat down at a long table. Fox and his friends began to eat and laugh at a joke Kate told them. Before they started eating, Jack introduced Krystal to Fox and the others.

"So, where are you from?" Jack asked Krystal. "If you don't mind me asking."

"Not at all." Krystal replied, "I was born on the planet Cerinia, but my birth parents and I moved here when I was just a baby."

"Cerinia?" Jack said, "Where in the Lylat system is that?"

"It's beyond the Lylat system." Krystal replied, "Both of my parents run a bakery here, and they taught me how to speak English. What about you?"

"I was born on this planet," Jack replied, taking a bite of his baked ziti, "but I moved to Corneria City during the whole summer because my mom wanted to live closer to her workplace."

"How do you like it here, though?" Krystal asked, taking a sip of milk from her milk cartoon

"I have always loved Corneria City." Jack replied, "But I have lived in the Cornerian Mountains before I moved here. Before I started attending public school, I attended a private school."

"Why are you currently attending public school?" Krystal asked curiously as she took a bite of her side salad

"Even though my parents are rich," Jack replied, "My mother hated private schools because she thought the students there are not down-to-earth people, which is what me and my family. All they ever talked about was money."

Krystal laid her head on the back of her hand and continued looking at him with a sigh.

"I'm sorry." Jack said to her, "I don't mean to bore you with me telling my backstory."

"No, no, no." Krystal said in protest, then with a slight chuckle and smile "It's not that. It's just that you're handsome. Have you every had a girlfriend before?"

"Oh! Well!" Jack said in surprise, "Thank you. And you're beautiful. No, never had a girlfriend before when I was attending private school. Why do you ask?"

Fox and Falco began to tease them by humming wedding music. Katt and Fara were annoyed by this, so they got up and smacked them in the back of their heads, causing them to go 'ow' in unison.

"What the heck, Katt!"

"Boys!" Krystal thought as she shook her head while Jack just snickered at them.

The bell rang, signaling the end of their lunch period. All of them got up and emptied their trays into a large garbage can, handed them to the dishwasher, them began to head for their next classes.

The End
