This takes place in 1x1 when they go to an apartment fire and Pruitt passes out. Andy and Jack never happened he just had a crush on her.

They had just put Pruitt in the ambulance when jack walked up to Andy and said, "I'm sorry Andy I thought he was-" he got cut off by Andy shoving him.

"He said no one goes up alone! You think that means to wonder away from him and hope he is following you! I can't even believe you!" She yelled before walking to the ambulance to be with her dad.

~At the hospital~

When they arrived Dr.Bailey and Dr.Grey were waiting at the trama room doors. When Andy got out she was immediately pulled into a hug by her recently new friend Meredith Grey.

"Please don't let him die." Andy sobbed into Meredith's shoulder.

"We are going to do everything we can." Meredith replied rubbing Andy's back.

They quickly got him to a trauma room and hooked him up the monitors. When Andy saw he was stable she stepped out into the hallway to make a call.

"Hey baby." The person said.

"Hey." Andy said shakily.

"Andrea what's wrong?" he asked.

"I-it's my d-dad. He passed out on a call. Can you come to the hospital?" She said on the verge of tears.

"Yeah I'll be there soon but I have to talk to my Captain first and don't worry. We will get through this, no matter what happens." he said.

"Ok" she said.

"Ok I will be there soon. I love you." The person said.

"I love you too." She said as the call ended.

~A few minutes later~

"Hi what room is Pruitt Herrera in?" The voice asked.

"What's your relation?" The nurse asked.

"I'm his son in law." He replied.

"Ok he is actually headed up to the or with Dr.Bailey for an exploratory surgery." She said as Dr.Bailey walked to get Pruitt's records from the desk.

"Hey Dr.Bailey do you know where Andy is?" He asked.

"Hey Sullivan. Yeah she is with Meredith. If you follow me quickly I can take you to her before I take him up to surgery." She said.

"Ok let's go then." Robert said quickly following behind her.

"Wait what!" Vic said once the two were out of hearing range. "Andy is married to lieutenant Sullivan! Maya did you know?"

"No I didn't. Wow. We have done multiple calls with station 36 and the two of them have acted so professional." Maya said. "I wonder why she hid their marriage it's not like it's against the rules because they are the same rank." Travis said."I'm sorry man." Dean whispered to Jack. "I know you really like her." "Yeah me to." He said sitting down in a chair. "But even if she wasn't married I probably wouldn't have a chance with her after today."

Robert and Miranda reached the supply closet door where Meredith was standing.

"Is she in there?" Robert asked.

"Yeah." Meredith said walking away with Bailey to take Pruitt to surgery.

Robert knocked on the door and said, "Hey Ands it's me."

Andy opened the door and he wrapped her in a hug. When she felt his touch she completely broke down. Something about his touch made her feel so safe like when she was in his arms nothing could harm her. He walked them back into the closet, never breaking the hug, and closed the door

"They said it might be cancer." She said against his chest.

"If it is he will fight it. He is a strong man." He said rubbing her back and kissing her head.

"Did the team see you?" Andy asked pulling away slowly.

"I don't think so but why don't you tell them. We have been married for 8 years and have spent a total of almost 15 years together. Plus my station knows because you come over for lunch sometimes so why can't we do it at your station."

"I-I-I don't know I just-" she got cut off by a knock at the door. She opened the door to find Maya with a shocked look on her face. "How'd you know where I was?" She asked.

"Well I asked dr Bailey. Hey Sullivan what are you doing here?" Maya questioned acting clueless.

"Ummm" both Robert and Andy said.

"Omg are you two together." Maya said.

"Yeah...yeah we are." Andy said fiddling with her fingers.

"Ok well they have an update on captain. Also the team is gonna go home for the night." She said walking out.

"Ok thanks Maya." Andy said grabbing Sullivan's hand.

"I guess we can keep the marriage a secret for a little longer." He said.

"Thank you but I will tell them we are together so you can come over for lunch." She said with a sad smile.

"Ok let's go see what's wrong with your dad." He said leading her to the waiting area.

Meredith came in a few minutes later to give Andy and Robert the update.

"So the mass we found is cancer but it is treatable. He will have to do chemo until it is all cleared up." She said.

"When can we see him?" She asked.

"They are closing him up right now so it shouldn't be long." Mer said.

"Thank you so much Mer." Andy said pulling her into a hug.

"It's no problem. I will come get you guys when he is in a room." She said.

Andy turned back to her husband and gave him a smile as he said, "See I told you he would be ok."

"I know your the best husband in the world." She said leaning up to kiss him. "Mmm I love you."

"I love you too." He said kissing her head as they sat down.

A couple minutes later Dr.Schmitt came and lead Andy and Robert to Pruitt's room.

"He should wake up soon." He said before walking out of the room.

Robert walked over to the couch in the corner and saw Andy yawn, "Hey Ands come over here and lay down."

"But what if I am asleep and he wakes up." She asked walking over.

"Then I'll wake you but for now you need to sleep." He said pulling her closer.

She cuddled into his side and felt her nod her head. Robert rested his head on top of Andy's. Robert had just fell asleep when Pruitt started to wake up.

"Hey Pruitt" Robert said trying not to wake Andy up.

"Robert what happened?" He asked.

"Well you passed out while on a call. They did exploratory surgery and they found cancer cells in your body but they said it is treatable with chemo." He said.

"Is she ok?" He asked looking over at his daughter.

"Physically yes but mentally I'm not so sure." He said

"She looks so tired." He said with a sad tone.

"Yeah working a 24 hour shift and then with everything going on it's a lot." He said rubbing his finger along her arm.

"Are you guys going to tell the team soon?" Pruitt questioned.

"Yeah but for now they will only know about us being together. Andy still wants to keep the marriage a secret for a little longer. Oh crap I'm going to have to go get Katie in about an hour." He said looking down at his phone.

"You should bring her here. I would love to see my granddaughter." He said. "I'm so tired."

"Go back to sleep. They anesthesia is probably still wearing off. I will wake you up before I leave to go get her just in case Andy asks where I am." He said.

"Ok." He said as he closed his eyes and drifted back to sleep.

About an hour and a half later Andy woke up to the sweet sound of her 4 year old laughing.

"Good morning sleepy head." Robert said looking down at Andy.

"Good morning." She said sitting up to kiss him. "Hey Katie. What are you doing here."

She ran to her mothers arms as she said, "Daddy picked me up and said that grandpa had gotten hurt so we had to go to the hospital."

The 4 of them talked for a while but soon Katie fell asleep with her head on Andy's lap and her feet on her father's. Pruitt also fell back asleep as the last bit of anesthesia started to wear off so it left the two talking.

"So whenever we tell the team about our marriage are we going to tell them about Katie as well or wait a little bit longer." Robert asked Andy in a whisper.

"I guess we could tell them." She said looking down at her daughter. "God I'm not ready for all the questions."

"It'll be ok. Plus I will-" he got cut off by a knock at the door.

Andy said come in thinking it was a doctor but was shocked when the door open and saw her whole team standing there. Jack stormed off in disbelief while the others walked in completely shocked.

"So you two really are together." Maya said breaking the awkward silence.

"Yeah...umm actually we're married." Andy said keeping her eyes on her daughter head.

"How old is she?" Dean asked.

"She's just turned 4 last month." Robert answered.

"Another question. How long have you two been together?" Travis asked.

"Together for close to 15 years but only married for 8." Andy said.

Ben was about to ask a question but then Katie woke up breathing heavily.

"He sweetie. It's ok. Shhhh" Andy said rubbing her back. "What's wrong."

"I-I had a dream where abuelo died." She said through tears as she clung to her mother's shirt.

Andy gave Robert a look and he knew exactly what she meant as he said, "We'll be back."

They walked down the hall to an on-call room but Robert went in first to make sure it wasn't occupied.

"Is abuelo going to be ok?" Robert heard a sad little voice ask as he was walking to the bed.

"He will get better over time." Andy said sitting down.

"What does that mean?" She asked sitting up.

"Well he has to get medicine because he is sick and it might take a long time for it to go away." She said.

"Oh." She said cuddling into Robert's side. "Who where those people in his room."

"Those are people who work with mommy at her fire house." Robert said.

"You ready to go back to the room Katie." Andy asked.

"Yes." She said standing up.

When they got back in the room everyone was laughing because Pruitt had just told them something funny. They spent the next few hours joking with their captain completely forgetting about what they found out. Finally everyone had to go home because they had shift tomorrow.

As soon as Andy's head hit the pillow at home she was fast asleep with her daughter snuggled in between her and Robert.
