Before we start, there's one more thing I forgot. Team Rocket will have some of their older Pokemon back throughout the adventure.
Chapter 16: A Timeless Adventure at the Timeless River
The gang flew out of the door and found themselves in a black and white world. Sora now looks like an inkblot kid and his jumpsuit looks like it's original self, but in black and white. Plucky now looks like a black duck with a white sleeveless shirt. He looks like Daffy Duck from Porky's Duck Hunt. Dizzy now looks like a light gray Tasmanian Devil with a pinwheel hat. He looks like Taz from Devil May Hare. Dizzy shook his head and looks at something.
Dizzy: Look! There Cornerstone of Light!
Sora walks over to see the Cornerstone of Light. He then looks at everything.
Sora: What's going on? Why does everything look like an old Mickey Mouse or Felix the Cat cartoon?
Plucky: Hey, Dizzy. Why do you look like Taz now?
Dizzy: Why do Plucky look like Daffy Duck?
Plucky: This is kinda like...umm...
Dizzy: Deja vu?
Plucky: Yeah, That's right!
Sora: Really? Have you been here before?
Plucky: No. I don't remember everything in black and white.
Dizzy: But something about it is familiar.
Plucky: It's like were in the 30s or something.
Sora: The 30s? So like, we're in WWII?
Plucky: No. That's the 40s. It's more like the Great Depression.
Suddenly, the gang turns to see an inkblot boy running. The boy kinda looks like Monty, except that he's black and white and wears a white sailor uniform. The boy turns to the trio.
Boy: Hey, you! Have you seen any bad guys around here?
The trio points to him. He was shocked.
Boy: Why you...
He was about to fight them, but stops.
Boy: I don't have time to mess with punks like you. I guess I'll let you all go.
He ran off. The trio looks at each other.
Sora: Well, there's our villain.
The trio follows the boy to the pier and talks to him. The boy turns around.
Boy: What's with you squirts? You got some bone to pick on me?
Sora: More than one!
Boy: That's some fighting words!
He was about to fight again, but then he hears a steam whistle blew. He was about to walk away, but the trio stops him.
Sora: Not so fast!
Plucky uses Fire and Blizzard to burn and freeze the boy, Dizzy delivers punches and kicks to beat up the boy, and Sora keeps slashing him like crazy. The boy got knocked out. He stood back up, looking very angry.
Boy: What's your beef with me? Who are you? You all look new around here.
Sora: Cut the act!
The steam whistle blew again. The boy was about to stand up, but his body aches from the experience and fell back into the ground.
Dizzy: Something doesn't seem right here. Is that really Monty?
Boy: Of course I'm Montana Max. I'm the captain of the steamboat. Stop bothering me!
His body aches again.
Monty: So, hit the road! I gotta go find the little runt who stole my boat!
The trio whispers to each other.
Dizzy:(Whispers)Maybe we made mistake.
Sora:(Whispers)I'm starting to think the same thing. He didn't even call any Heartless.
The trio walks up to Monty.
Dizzy: Sorry we attack you, Captain Monty.
Monty stood up and turns to them.
Monty: Oh, yeah? If you're really sorry, go find my steamboat!
Sora: Yes, sir!
Monty's body starts aching again.
Monty: OW! My body aches!
The trio tried to comfort him.
World: Timeless River
The trio made their way back to Cornerstone Hill.
Sora: I really thought Monty's the bad guy.
Plucky: That would've been too easy.
Dizzy: Come on, fellas. Let find steamboat.
Sora: I guess we did say we would.
Plucky: Hey! We've gotta find that door!
Sora: Oh, yeah!
Plucky: But I don't see any doors.
Sora looks at something.
Sora: Hey, what's that?
He points to what looks like a box shaped like a movie theatre with curtains on it.
Sora: It looks like one of those old movie theatres.
Plucky pulls on the string and the curtains went up, revealing a movie screen. The screen shows them some Heartless entering some portals that looks like windows, just as the trio enters the world from the door. The movie screen then turns off and the curtains closed.
Sora: What was that?
Dizzy: Heartless going out...
Plucky: And us coming in.
Sora: What does it mean?
Plucky pulls on the string again, but nothing happens. The trio saw the same four portals that the Heartless went into.
Sora: Let's go after the Heartless.
Dizzy: Then what we do?
Sora: We'll worry about that later.
The trio first went into the portal that takes them to a place that looks like a construction site. They are on a platform supported by ropes.
Sora: What are they building?
Dizzy: Sora! LOOK OUT!
Suddenly, a new type of Heartless called a Hammer Frame came down and nearly slammed Sora. Luckily, he manages to dodge it in time. This Heartless looks like a hammer. Suddenly, a light gray bunny with white cheeks and wears a black coat and white gloves swings by the rope and knocks the Heartless off the platform. He looks like Bugs Bunny from A Wild Hare. The bunny went on top of another platform and waves at them.
Plucky: Is that Buster?
Dizzy: No. He seem very different somehow.
Sora looks up to see some Heartless on steel beams above them.
Sora: Heartless! I knew it!
The Heartless came down on the platform.
Sora: He really saved the day. Now, let's get those Heartless!
The trio battles the Hammer Frames and Minute Bombs. The Hammer Frames slammed on the platform, making it shake, and bouncing everyone all over the platform. The trio manages to finish off the Heartless. The platform stops shaking.
Sora: How do you like that?
The bunny ran up to Sora and shook his hand. He waves good-bye and jumps off the platform.
Dizzy: Look!
He points at another movie theatre box. Plucky pulls at the string and reveals a screen. This time, it shows Ganondorf talking to someone.
Ganondorf: You absolute idiots! You've failed at everything! And what's more...you thought you could take over my place, while I was gone.
The figure looks at the side for a moment, then looks back to see Ganondorf up in his face.
Ganondorf: Just for that, you're finished! Mark my words! There will no place for you, when our time comes!
He starts walking away.
Ganondorf: Useless imbeciles!
?: But I...
The screen stops and teleports everyone back to Cornerstone Hill.
Sora: What was that?
Dizzy: Somebody sure is angry.
Plucky: I don't get it.
Sora: Let's just take out the Heartless, first. We got three more places to check out.
The trio enters the portal that takes them to a tiny village. The trio looks around to see that the village is small and that they're giant-sized.
Sora: Whoa! I'm now the size of Godzilla!
Dizzy: Or maybe town shrunk.
Sora looks at a tall tower with cannons all over it.
Sora: Hey! Look at the toy cannons!
They walked over to the tower to look at it. Suddenly, Sora saw the same bunny they met at the construction site. He's hopping around.
Sora: What's he saying?
Sora turns around to see a new type of Heartless called the Aero Plane. It's a Heartless on an airplane.
Sora: Hey! A Heartless!
Suddenly, more Aero Planes joined the fight. The Hammer Frames joined in the fight, too. The Aero Planes fired on some homes, destroying some of them. The trio used the tower to fire at the Heartless. They took care of the Heartless, before they could destroy the village.
Sora: Man, that was weird.
The bunny ran up to Sora and shook his hand again. He waves good-bye and ran off.
Dizzy: Look! Over there!
He points to another movie theatre box. Plucky pulls at the string and reveals a screen. This time, it shows the Team Rocket trio talking to someone.
?: Oh, for crying out loud...He didn't have to go say that.
Meowth: Yeah. We might have messed up every now and den, but we're alot more things dan useless.
Jessie: Yeah. Like when we were starting out as new members. Oh...I miss those good old days.
James: What we wouldn't give to go back in time...What we wouldn't give...
The person then turns around to see a door. He inspects it, then he opens the door.
?: Hey, I think that's my...
The screen stops and teleports everyone back to Cornerstone Hill.
Sora: A door?
Plucky: It looks familiar.
Dizzy: It door Mumbo magic up!
Sora: So, it should come here, right? Let's check it out!
The trio enters a portal that takes them to a burning building. The building was moving on it's own.
Sora: FIRE!
Everyone turns to the same bunny trying to take out the fire.
Sora: He needs our help!
Suddenly, they saw some fire moving on their own. Then the Shadows came out and starts attacking. A new type of Heartless called the Hot Rods joined in. They are Heartless that looks like cars. The Hot Rods charged at the trio, doing some damage to them. They took out the Heartless, as well as the fire that tried to reach the building. The fire from the building disappears, too. The same bunny ran up to Sora and shook his hand again. The bunny waves good-bye and ran off.
Sora: Well, that takes care of that!
Dizzy: Hey!
He points to another movie theatre box. Plucky pulls at the string to reveal a screen. This time, it shows Ganondorf looking at the door.
Ganondorf: Interesting...It appears to be a door to the past.
?: Yeah. It was the strangest thing I've ever seen.
Ganondorf: STOP TALKING! And start thinking of a way we can use this door to our advantage!
?: OK.
Ganondorf: I'll give you one last chance to redeem yourself.
Meowth: Oh dank you, Lord Ganondorf! You can count on us! So, what do we do?
Ganondorf: Patience, my feline friend.
He looks at the door.
Ganondorf: What have we here? Well, if it isn't the Cornerstone of Light...Now, we can take Acme Castle from those toons. But we'll have to proceed carefully.
The screen stops and teleports everyone back to Cornerstone Hill.
Plucky: Ganondorf!
Sora: So, he was behind all this!
Dizzy: Let see...If that door connect to past-
Plucky: No! It comes here!
Dizzy: Then maybe we in past!
Sora: Then if we're in the past...
Plucky: We can change the future!
Dizzy: Wait! Remember what Mumbo said? He got faith in us. And we have to resist temptation!
Plucky: I'm just kidding, Dizzy.
Sora: Who would wanna change the future anyway? So, what are we gonna do?
Dizzy: Doors, bad guys...It make Dizzy's head hurt!
Plucky: Well, we're on the right track!
The trio enters a portal that takes them to an inside of a house. They saw some kind of black hole sucking up the furniture. They then saw the same bunny running up to the black hole, trying to stop the furniture from getting sucked up.
Sora: Come on! He needs our help!
Suddenly, the Rapid Thrusters came out, which made the bunny run away. The trio took care of the Rapid Thrusters and the black hole. The bunny shook Sora's hand again. He waves good-bye and ran off again.
Dizzy: Huh?
He points to another movie theatre box. Plucky pulls at the string to reveal the screen. This time, it shows Ganondorf talking to someone again.
Ganondorf: Listen very well. On the other side of this portal, they're about to build that castle. Until then, their precious Cornerstone of Light remains unprotected, with all of it's power still contained.
?: The Cornerstone...of Light?
Ganondorf: Yes! That cursed sphere is the very thing that prevents us from entering the castle. You know what must be done, right?
?: Yes!
Ganondorf: Before you go, I have something for Team Rocket.
He pulls out six Pokeballs and gave three each to Jessie and James.
Ganondorf: These are some old Pokemon you used to travel with.
Jessie: So, that means...
James: Our old pals are back!
Ganondorf: Go then. Time to prove your worth! And don't fail me again!
He then walks away. The screen shows the person that Ganondorf was talking to. That person is none other than Monty.
Meowth: Don't fail him again...Let's see...
Monty: That's it! We gotta smash that Cornerstone to pieces!
The four bad guys laughed.
Monty: But first...We gotta get my grandpa's boat.
The villains walked through the door. The screen stops and teleports everyone back to Cornerstone Hill.
Sora: It was Monty after all!
Plucky: He lied to us!
Dizzy: But something doesn't seem right.
Sora folds his arms and starts thinking.
Sora: The Monty we met here had an attitude, but he doesn't seem like a bad guy...and he doesn't have Team Rocket with him. So, maybe...
Plucky turns to see Monty with Team Rocket. They looked normal, but in black and white. They appeared to be heading to the waterway.
Plucky: LOOK!
Monty: Now, that castle will be as good as ours!
Monty and Team Rocket ran to the waterway.
Sora: That's the Monty we know!
Dizzy: OH NO!
He points to see the Cornerstone all gone.
Sora: The Cornerstone's gone!
Plucky: But that means...
Dizzy: They gonna fill castle with darkness! We gotta hurry!
Suddenly, the Old Monty came running through.
Sora: Hold it right there!
Old Monty: No way, small fry! I finally found the pipsqueaks who stole my steamboat.
Plucky: Yeah! It was you!
Old Monty: Right! It was me! No wait! It wasn't me! It's that punk who looks like me!
He starts running to the waterway.
Sora: Aww, which is it?
The trio follows the Old Monty to the waterway. At the waterway is a steamboat with a cage behind it, carrying the Cornerstone of Light.
Old Monty: WAIT!
Monty: SHUT UP, GRANDPA!
Monty is beating up the Old Monty.
Monty: Your future's on the line, gramps! So, just back off and give me the boat!
He sent the Old Monty flying off. The trio finally reached the waterway.
Plucky: The Cornerstone!
Sora: After him!
Monty jumps on the cage carrying the Cornerstone.
Monty: Let's take off!
Meowth: Aye aye, captain!
Team Rocket is driving the steamboat and it starts rowing. Monty starts throwing barrels at the trio, but Sora deflects them with his Keyblade, sending them back to Monty. The steamboat reached the shore. Sora and the gang quickly destroyed the cage, making Monty fall into the water.
Monty: You'll pay for this!
Suddenly, the raft carrying the Cornerstone hits Monty from behind, knocking him out. Team Rocket jumps in the water to get Monty out. The steamboat stops.
Plucky: We got the Cornerstone back!
Team Rocket got Monty out of the water and ran to the wharf.
Sora: Plucky, we'll come back for it later!
Dizzy: Team Rocket heading for wharf!
The trio went to the wharf, where they found Monty and Team Rocket fighting the Old Monty. Monty punched the Old Monty, making him fall back and cry.
Monty:(Laughs)You're still a loser, gramps!
Sora: Gramps? That's your grandpa?
Monty: Yep!
Plucky: Then maybe that bunny we keep meeting is Buster's grandpa.
Monty: Now, it's time for our motto!
Jessie: Prepare for trouble, we're all a little loony...
James: And make it double, we're in this cartoony...
Monty: To protect the world from devastation...
James: To unite all people within our nation...
Jessie: To denounce the evils of truth and love...
Monty: To extend our reach to the stars above...
Jessie: Jessie...
James: James...
Monty: Montana Max, now that's a name...
Jessie: Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light...
James: Surrender now, or prepare to fight...
Monty: And we'll make sure this will be your last night!
Meowth: Meowth, dat's right!
Wobbuffet: Wobbuffet!
Mime Jr.: Mime! Mime!
Sora: Then try us!
Suddenly, Old Monty pushed back Sora's gang and ran up to Monty and Team Rocket. Jessie and James pulls out their Pokeballs.
Jessie: So you still want more. Dustox, GO!
She released a gray moth with white wings.
James: Chimecho, YOU TOO!
He released a white Pokemon shaped like a Japanese wind chime.
Sora: Let's go, guys!
Old Monty starts charging after Monty and Team Rocket, but Chimecho uses Psychic to lift him in the air. Dustox then use Poison Sting to fire a bunch of needles at him. Chimecho then use Uproar to cry really loud, making everyone cover their ears. Dustox proceeds to use Gust to blow everyone away. Sora and the gang proceeds to fight Team Rocket's Pokemon. Plucky uses Thunder on Dustox, shocking her, and making her fall on the ground. Dizzy headbutts Chimecho, making her fall on the ground, too. Sora proceeds to clash his Keyblade with Meowth's Fury Swipes. Sora breaks through Meowth's Fury Swipes and made him fell back to Monty and Team Rocket.
Sora: Now's your chance, Plucky!
Plucky then use Thunder again to shock Monty, Team Rocket, and their Pokemon. An explosion occurs, sending them off flying.
Jessie: NO! Even with our old Pokemon back, we still lose to those twerps!
James: At least they tried harder than the Heartless.
Meowth: Actually, I think the Heartless tried alot harder than we do.
Monty: This is not fair! We were so close to getting that Cornerstone!
Wobbuffet: Wobba!
Monty & Team Rocket: Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!
Wobbuffet: Wobbuffet!
Mime Jr.: Mime! Mime!
A star twinkles from where they are flying to.
Old Monty: Serves your rights!
Suddenly, the door that Monty and Team Rocket used appears.
Plucky: Sora, the door!
Sora: Yeah, I know!
He aims his Keyblade at the door. The Keyhole appears and the Keyblade fires a beam at it. The door got sealed with a click and disappears.
Old Monty: Can somebody tell me what's going on here? Who were those creeps anyway?
Sora: Hello? That creep is your grand-
Before Sora could finish the sentence, Dizzy covers his mouth.
Dizzy: Sora, that a secret!
Old Monty: Secret? What kinda secret? Never mind. Sorry I put you guys through all that trouble.
Plucky: Well, just don't make a habit out of it!
Old Monty: And to show you my appreciation, I'll let you pilot my steamboat. It's the best craft on the river. My deck hand Buster is late anyways.
Minutes later, Sora was piloting the steamboat. Plucky pulls on the string, making the steam pipes whistle. Unknown to everyone, Buster's grandpa is riding on the raft carrying the Cornerstone. Old Monty gave Sora a Monochrome Keychain. Sora puts it on and the Keyblade changes. It now looks like a gray Keyblade with steam pipes for the tooth. Sora and the gang returns the Cornerstone back to Cornerstone Hill.
Dizzy: Dizzy bet that castle is safe now.
Sora: I guess we should head back.
Plucky: Wait! As long as we're here...
Sora & Dizzy: PLUCKY!
Plucky tried to tell them he's kidding, but they dragged him back to the door.
Plucky: Hey! What's the big idea? Let me go!
Sora and Dizzy threw Plucky into the door. Sora and Dizzy walks through the door and left Timeless River. Back at Acme Castle, Babs, Mumbo, Wumba, Calamity, and Cosette watched the thorns disappear.
Babs: The thorns have disappeared!
Mumbo: By great skull! Boy has accomplished mission.
Cosette: Hooray! Zhey did it!
Calamity: Let's have a big feast to celebrate!
Meanwhile, the door to Timeless River starts shaking. The door opens and Plucky flew out of it. Sora and Dizzy follows out. The trio were back to their normal looks.
Babs: Welcome back, you three! Because of your bravery, the castle is safe again. Thank you so much for all you've done.
Calamity & Cosette: Good work, you guys!
Wumba: Now, boy didn't do anything reckless, while he there, right?
Plucky: Of course not!
Sora and Dizzy laughs. Plucky turns around and saw a white duck with blonde hair, wears a pink long sleeve shirt, and a big pink bow on her head. Next to her is a purple skunk who looks like Cosette, except she has light purple hair and a small pink bow on her head.
Plucky: Shirley!
The duck and skunk walks up to the trio.
Plucky: Shirley, I'm back!
Sora: Who are those girls?
Dizzy: The duck is Shirley. She Plucky's girlfriend. the skunk is Fifi. She Furrball's girlfriend.
Sora: Really...
Shirley then made a very crossed look at Plucky.
Shirley: PLUCKY! You forgot about our date again! You better have a good excuse this time!
Plucky: But, Shirley...I...
Shirley: I know it's an important mission, but you should at least check in every once in a while.
Plucky looks back Sora, who held his head behind his head.
Plucky: Sora!
He looks back at the door and laughs.
Mumbo: PLUCKY!
Plucky: Just give me a minute!
He tried to run away, but Shirley grabs him by his tail.
Shirley: Going somewhere?
Plucky: Of course not!
He ran off, making Shirley fall on her face.
Shirley: PLUCKY! COME BACK HERE!
Everyone laughs, as Shirley chased Plucky around the room. Meanwhile, Fifi walks up to Sora and Dizzy with a sad look on her face.
Fifi:(French accent)Bonjour. Do you have Furrball with you?
Sora: Sorry, but he's not with us.
Fifi: You mean he's not with you?
Dizzy: Sorry, Fifi. But Furrball disappear on us.
Fifi starts crying, worrying about her boyfriend. Then Babs noticed the Cornerstone shining brighter than before.
Babs: Hey, guys! Look what's happening to the Cornerstone!
Sora summons his Keyblade, the Cornerstone shot a beam in the sky, and reveals a Keyhole. Sora's Keyblade shot a beam at it and unlocks it. He then walks up to Shirley.
Sora: Shirley, we need Plucky for a little longer.
Shirley: Like, how much longer?
Sora: Well...
Plucky: Don't worry, Shirley. I'll be back soon.
Shirley looks at him with joy. Fifi stops crying and walks up to Sora.
Fifi: Please return Furrball to me. He's very important to me.
Sora: Don't worry. I'll bring him back.
Dizzy: Don't worry, Queen Babs. We be back.
Sora: Please tell Buster that we're still looking for him.
Babs: I will. Before you go, I have something for you.
She creates a blue orb in front of Sora. Sora grabs it and he glows. His clothes are now mostly blue.
Babs: This Drive Form is called the Wisdom Form. It specializes in magic. This is only a demonstration, but when you do it for real, you'll have to merge with Plucky. You'll be able to use all of his magic abilities.
Sora: OK. Thanks, Bab.
Calamity & Cosette: See you all soon!
Wumba: Think wisely!
Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy waves good-bye to Babs and the rest of the toons and returns to the Gummi Ship.
Sora: So, where do we go next?
Sweetie: Well, a new tournament is being held near the Lily of the Valley Conference.
Plucky: But isn't that stadium destroyed.
Sweetie: Yes. But I heard they're having one in the Distortion World.
Sora: Well, let's go then. We could train up for a new tournament. We could see Ash and his friends again.
Sneezer: OK! Returning to the Distortion World!
The Gummi Ship left Acme Castle and made it's way to the Distortion World.
