Song Of Past and Future: Interview/Ask Blog II

The dim-lit room was empty as the chairs where Eddy, Twiggy, and Jesse were once sitting, were now empty. The door to the room opened as three new Trolls entered sitting down. Queen Poppy sat in the middle chair as Branch sat to her right and Queen Barb sat to her left. The Figure turning on a light facing them, his face still obscured in shadow.

"What gives, why have we been asked to come here?" Barb asked the figure before looking at the two Pop Trolls beside her, asking what they were doing here as they were told that they were brought here for an interview.

"Can I get you anything to make your visit more comfortable, a drink, a snack?' the Figure offered. Poppy said if she could have a glass of juice it would be appreciated. Branch refused, not really trusting the figure, unable to even see his face, the only light in the room on the table shining on him and the two queens.

"Why are they here?" Barb again asked, looking at the two Pop Trolls. The figure explained that he was interviewing them on the recent events of the Story, and would like to get their opinion on the new visitors as Poppy tapped her fingers on the table.

"You mean Twiggy?" Poppy asked as the figure turned to her, saying they could start with her, stating that since the story has been following Eddy and the Rock Trolls, it would be nice to get the Pop Troll perspective on things as the figure slid a glass of juice to her.

"What was it like when Twiggy showed up in your village?" The figure asked as Poppy explained that their first impression was kind of fouled up by Branch dropping a cage on her, which might have given her a bad message, but afterward, she felt they got off on a good foot. The figure nodded asking Poppy and Branch to fill them in on what happened when Twiggy arrived in the Village.

"Well" Poppy went on, flashing back to when Branch undid the cage as Twiggy walked out, looking at him, asking what the reason he had for the cage. Branch simply defended that the cage was a security measure to keep the Village safe.

"And risk scaring new friends off" Poppy rebutted as Branch claimed that his defense system was necessary as they kept discussing the topic of Branch's system. Barb just looked at them.

"Can we please get back on topic, about your experiences with Twiggy?" The figure asked, trying to break up the argument as Poppy went into detail about Twiggy's visit, saying that after the whole cage ordeal they took her back to the village.

"You are gonna love it here, we are gonna have a Trolltastic party for you with Dancing, Cakes, Glitterball, Music, Firework- I get it" Poppy eagerly listed as Twiggy sighed walking with them. Branch glanced over at Twiggy asking what was with her outfit, which was made of Tree bark and vines.

"Like I said I've been on my own, it's protection, speaking of which, can I have my dagger back, I feel kind of exposed without it?" Twiggy asked as he held up the metal blade with a wooden hand-carved handle, saying he would hold onto it as Twiggy looked at him.

"Come on, my Dad gave it to me, It's the only thing I have of his" Twiggy argued as Branch felt uneasy letting the stranger have a knife, especially near the Queen as Poppy looked at Twiggy's armor, suggesting she needed a makeover to seem more appealing.

"Branch- No Need, I heard the word makeover and lost all interest, I'll go reset the system" Branch interrupted walking off as the two girls walked to a pod hanging from the village tree. inside were Satin and Chenille, two twins who were conjoined by their hair as Twiggy looked at them, wondering if they shared their hair or if it was just a hairstyle they kept.

"This is Satin and Chenille, they are the fashion experts of Troll Village and will have you looking nice in no time," Poppy said, handing her off to the sisters, not even waiting for Twiggy to say something.

The Twins pulled apart Twiggy's armor as the bark clattered on the floor as they began taking her measurements.

"Anyway, we gave Twiggy a new outfit which looked amazing if I say so" Poppy replied going on about the events that they did as the figure looked at her, saying it was nice of her to chime in, but maybe it was time they heard from Barb.

"Oh, so Popsqueak is done," Barb said, filing her nails, uninterested in her story as the figure turned to her, asking what Barb thought about Eddy as she scooted back in her chair saying he was alright. The Figure mentioned that the got into an argument, care to elaborate on that?" The figure asked sipping from a glass of water as Barb shrugged.

"Long story short, he rammed my Anglerbus with that animal of his, I got out and we had a screaming match about it" Barb explained as the figure crossed his fingers.

"Really, from what I've heard, you hit him, now you're saying he hit you?" The Figure asked curiously as Barb backtracked, saying who hit who wasn't important, after the argument, she led him back to Volcano Rock City and showed him around.

"And you've been teaching him Guitar from what I heard," he said as Barb nodded, telling them about how that was going, reflecting on one of their lessons. In Barb's Jam Room she handed Eddy a guitar that he held.

"Okay, now do what I do, let's start with a basic chord" Barb instructed, moving her fingers to a certain shape as Eddy followed. Barb ran her pick down, strumming a clear chord as Eddy did so making a mess.

"Don't Worry, he got better" Barb told the Figure as Eddy was moving his fingers down the neck strumming the strings of the guitar, making progress on his playing as he could follow Barb note for note.

"See, you're getting better" Barb complimented Eddy who was lifting the guitar, setting it on a stand, thanking Barb for teaching him her tricks as she dismissed it, saying it was a crime for a Rock Troll to not know how to Rock.

"And he was teaching you how to ride a Backhog, how did that go?" The Figure asked as Barb rubbed her shoulder, remembering her lessons. Outside the city, Eddy was rubbing the leather hide of his pet Backhog.

"I think I'll name you Lemmy," Eddy said, rubbing his side as Barb approached the beast, knowing it was capable of ramming it's huge tusks through a Troll and gutting them with ease. Eddy promised her she would be okay, as he climbed on the beast, instructing Barb to do the same and climb up with him.

"Sit on your lap, not even if your dreams" Barb replied as he told her it was the only way for her to learn, as he wasn't gonna trust Lemmy with her without him being there, promising he would not try anything funny as she huffed, climbing up sitting in front of him.

"You see those two metal horns, sticking from his head gently grab them and twist slowly" Eddy instructed as Barb nervously reached for the horns, her palms sweating as she grabbed them, wincing as she twisted the horns in a motion. Lemmy stomped on the ground, snarling as he was alert.

"Now twist both horns fully to make him move forward" Eddy instructed, putting his hands over hers as she made the animal zip through the plains.

"Now use the horns to turn his head" Eddy instructed as Barb jerked the creature's horns turned the beast as she was smiling, proud that she was actually doing it, she was riding a Backhog.

"This is AWESOME!" Barb yelled out as Eddy instructed her to squeeze the horns to get him to stop, telling her to twist them to go, squeeze to stop. Barb clenched her hands, squeezing the horns as the beast slammed his front paws down stopping, throwing the two off his back as they hit the rocky terrain, Eddy landed on top of Barb as he groaned, telling her to be more gentle when squeezing as Barb looked up at him, noticing the position they were in, shoving and ordering him to get off as Eddy stood up and looked at Barb, telling her she was improving.

"I'm Sorry Barb, but this all the time we have," The figure said, ending her story as Barb looked at him.

"But I didn't even get to the part where- I'm sorry, we're on a schedule and we can't go over time, I hope you three have a safe trip home and thanks for coming in," he said, the door opening behind them. The figure turned off the lamp as the three left the room and began their journey home
