Invitation
Queen Poppy and her small group of Friends known as the Snack Pack decided to have a Slumber Party outside the village, Twiggy and Branch walking behind them, She was now sporting a green dress that the twins made for her. The group walked up the hillside overlooking the village as Poppy set her sleeping bag down, looking at the group.
"This looks like a good spot, it's clear and the stars are right above" Twiggy suggested unrolling her bag as the other Trolls did the same.
"See, I told you this would be a good idea," Twiggy added, suggesting they do their Slumber Party outside as it would be a change of scenery from the crowded and noisy village. Twiggy laid down on her sleeping bag, made from a giant leaf, looking up at the stars as she let her mind drift off only to be interrupted by Smidge pulling the string on a party popper.
"Okay everyone, let's get this slumber party set up," Smidge ordered, placing her huge backpack down as everyone else pulled decorations from the bag. Twiggy was actually impressed, asking how such a small Troll like Smidge could carry such a big bag.
"She's crazy strong, personally I think it's nature's way of compensating," Branch chimed in as Smidge walked to him, handing him a stream of lights, ordering him to hang them up.
"Come On, everyone help set up. It's rude to not set up the party" Poppy added, placing a post in the ground as she set up a big tent with an open roof. Twiggy looked at them, explaining this was not her idea of an Outside slumber party as they were setting up games.
"Yeah, but what's a slumber party without games," Biggie asked setting up a game mat out and pulling a spinner from Smidge's bag, suggesting they start with Twist-Hair* as they group set up the mat.
"Here Mr. Dinkles, you can spin the spinner," Biggie offered, setting the spinner in front of his worm who simply blew on the spinner, making the arrow travel around as the worm meeped. All the Trolls except Branch and Twiggy immediately put one of their feet on a colored dot on the mat. Twiggy looked at Branch, asking about the game they were playing.
Branch informed her about Twist-Hair, saying when a certain color was called the trolls had to put a hand, foot, or their hair on a certain color as Twiggy nodded, asking how that was supposed to be fun.
"You know, you're not like the other Trolls here, is there a reason for that?" Twiggy asked, knowing her reason for not knowing of these activities. Branch just said that while all the other Trolls were carefree he was planning in case something went wrong as Twiggy looked at him.
"So, you stay in your little bunker with your rations prepping for doomsday?" Twiggy asked as Branch looked at her, asking how she knew he had a bunker, this being her first day in Troll Village. He accused her of spying on them as Twiggy had to choose her words carefully. Everyone in her time knew of the Fear Bunker, using it as the line of defense when Pop King Basil fell to Deyo.
"I Was joking, wait, you actually have a bunker?" Twiggy teased, dismissing it as a joke as Branch seemed to ease up. Twiggy looked at the group playing Twist-Hair as she yawned.
"I'm gonna get some sleep, I've been up for days" Twiggy yawned curling into her sleeping bag as she pulled two pieces of cotton from her hair, sticking them in her ears to block out any noise the Trolls made.
The Trolls just watched Twiggy go to sleep, this early in the night as Poppy still had more activities planned. Smidge asked if she should wake her up as Branch interjected saying Twiggy probably doesn't partake in their diet of sugar and caffeine and probably needs the sleep.
"No Prob" DJ Suki smiled, taking off her headphones, sliding them on Twiggy's ears as they kept their party at a low volume.
The Next Morning Twiggy woke up, getting up hearing nothing as she saw Poppy standing right over her smiling as Twiggy leaped back in shock, asking what gives as she saw Poppy's mouth moving but no sound coming out as she felt around her ears, pulling off the headphones that Suki put on her and pulling the cotton from her ears.
"I'm sorry, I Missed that" Twiggy explained, stating she could not hear as Poppy repeated herself, saying it was time to head back to the village as Twiggy looked at the sun, surprised it was sunrise.
"You're right, I know It's early, but we should really head back before everyone is awake. If they wake up and I'm not there, they may call a 'Poppy 911' emergency" The Queen explained as Twiggy looked at her, saying she was surprised because she overslept but that whole emergency thing sounded bad as Poppy sighed.
"Tell me about it, one time I sneezed... once, and I was put on forced bed rest for a week," Poppy told Twiggy how the Trolls in the village tend to overreact over little things.
"Come one let's get this Campsite torn down," Smidge called out, folding up the tent as the Trolls began their walk back to Troll Village, which was uneventful as they managed to enter the village before everyone was awake, which Poppy considered a win because it meant a Poppy 911 crisis was averted.
"I'll see you guys later," Poppy called out to the Snack Pack who walked off back to their pods, complementing the fun night they had. Guy Diamond walked to Twiggy, saying it was a dear shame she had to miss out on all the fun they had as she brushed him off her shoulder, Glitter dust, and all.
"Yeah, I'm Fine, Later Guy" Twiggy dismissed as he went off leaving only Poppy and Twiggy who looked at each other, Twiggy complemented her friends, saying they seemed nice. Poppy admitted they were eccentric but great once they got to know Twiggy.
"So, do you have a place for me to stay, while I'm here?" Twiggy asked as Poppy said she would look into getting her hooked up with a pod. The anthem of Troll Village sounded through the sound system as all the Trolls as if on cue exited their pods, greeting the morning.
"Wow we really made it just in the nick of time," Twiggy added as the two walked through the village greeting the Trolls that passed by their way. Everything went as usual until the Village of Trolls noticed a strange creature flying through the Village, erratic like it was looking for something.
It flew through the bakery as the Troll, Klaus Von Frosting swatted at it with a broom, asking the pesky creature to go away, and not touch his cakes as it flew through one of the cakes, sending it landing on the floor. The creature flew around, covered in the icing as it found its intended target, signaling in on Queen Poppy, dashing right at her.
"Poppy, Lookout!," Twiggy yelled, pushing the Queen into a nearby bush as Twiggy pulled out her crossbow from her hair, loading it with a dart as she kept her eyes on the creature, dashing at her as she pulled the trigger.
The creature hit the ground like a stone. It was a white puffball with black leather wings and red eyes as The Trolls approached it with caution, asking if it was dead as the creature flapped its wing. Twiggy said that the dart was filled with Dreamsucker nectar, which just put it to sleep for a short while as it snored.
"Why did it try to attack Poppy?" Branch asked, never seeing a creature like that as Twiggy knew it was a Furbat, and they were only found in Volcano Rock as she pointed out the rolled-up letter near the creature, picking it up.
"To Queen Poppy" Twiggy read, handing the message to the pink Troll who opened it, clearing her throat reading it out loud to the Trolls.
"Barb, The Queen of Rock, announces her One nation Under Rock World Tour, Bring your string to the biggest party the world has ever seen" Poppy read, telling everyone to relax, that it was just an invitation as her Father, King Peppy snatched it, saying it meant nothing and was just junk mail destroying the letter. everyone looking at the former ruler who hid the shreds of the letter.
"Dad, what's going on, who's this Queen of Rock?" Poppy asked as Peppy sighed in defeat, hoping the day would never come.
"I was only trying to protect you, but the truth is..." Peppy looked around taking a breath.
"...We're not the only Trolls" Peppy admitted as the Trolls looked at him, telling him they found that out last night, with Twiggy's party as Peppy looked again, going into detail about the strings and backstory of the six tribes. After his story, the Trolls Looked at each other, unable to make heads or tails of it.
"These other Tribes, they're not like us" Peppy explained.
A/N Now we're getting into events from the Movie, It's worth noting that because of the Butterfly effect things won't go exactly the way they do in the movie, including dialogue. it will follow a similar guideline *- Twist-Hair is based on the game twister but made for Trolls, also using their Hair.
