On The Road
While The Pop Trolls were dealing with their letter, Barb and the Rock Trolls were on their World Tour, an assortment of Anglerbus were camped out. Barb stormed into the campsite, Holding a bright blue string over her head in triumph. Her group had succeeded in obtaining the String of Techno Music.
"The Second String is ours!" Barb called out, earning applause from other Trolls as she, Riff, Carol, and Eddy approached her bus, opening its jaw for the four to enter. Carol plopped on the couch, laying down and Riff went to check on King Thrash. Eddy followed Barb as she opened the case, holding up the Axe of Rock, her ancient guitar, which had the white strings removed, only the bright red string was on the instrument as Barb, placed the blue string thru the bridge and turned the A peg.
The blue Techno string rested right next to the Rock String as Barb picked up the guitar, pressing down on the two strings, strumming as a noise hummed from the guitar.
"I Can't believe it, The string of Techno Music, and it's ours," Barb said, setting the Guitar back down in its case. planning to obtain another string seemed like a pipedream, but it was there in her guitar, the two strings sat next to each other running down the neck of her Axe of Rock as the Queen was smiling ear to ear.
"See, It's not a pipe dream" Eddy commented at the excited Barb who was obviously still pumped from rocking Technotown, she looked at Riff pouring a glass of liquor and handing it to the elder king.
"Hey Riff, why not check on the Queen's guests" Eddy suggested as Riff looked at the Queen, It was clear to them Barb was onboard with the idea, ordering Riff to check on the Techno Trolls. Riff nodded, telling the King they were going for a walk, grabbing the handles of his wheelchair, leaving the bus to check on the new group.
With Riff and Thrash's absence and Carol laying on the sofa, paying little attention as she put a pair of headphones on and sprayed a can of Cheese spread in her mouth
"Thanks for that lad" the old King Thrash muttered, downing the glass as they left the bus, Barb and Eddy stood alone in the Anglerbus, Well technically Carol was still there but she didn't seem interested in their conversation, she just played bass when needed and kept to herself
"I Still can't believe we, I mean You did it, getting the Techno String," Eddy said impressed with how Barb's army easily made their presence in Technotown, she was a much better leader than Greatmane could ever be, the way she ordered her troops around and her aura, oozing pure Rock. Eddy wished his people had a leader like Barb. When Greatmane sided with Deyo and the Rock Rebellion formed they announced Eddy to be their leader, despite having no experience. prior to the war Eddy only owned a record shop. They said he had the strongest connection to the old music, by the albums that covered the walls of his store.
"So, are you just gonna stand there?" Barb asked, snapping her fingers as she sensed a weird tension between them as Eddy snapped back to reality.
"Oh Yeah, sorry, I was just lost in thought. Maybe we should crack some beers open, and celebrate this occasion, Cheers to obtaining the string of Techno Music and getting one step closer to your World Tour" Eddy said, pulling two bottles of beer from a cooler, handing one to Barb who pressed her thumb under the cap, flicking the metal bit off.
"I'll Drink to that" Barb replied toasting Eddy as she downed the bottle as Eddy used his teeth to bite the cap off of his bottle, sharing his drink with the Queen as a creature flew in the bus' mouth bouncing around causing Eddy and Barb to drop their drinks. the Furbat bounced around the bus, smacking into Barb's Face as she looked at it.
"Debbie, what happened to you?" Barb asked in a tone between worried and pissed, seeing her beloved pet coated in glitter and with a bow on its head as Eddy looked at it, saying that was just vomit-inducing. Barb snatched a piece of folded card from her creature, opening it as a song was heard coming from the card.
"Cause Trolls just wanna have fun,
Yeah, Troll Just wanna have fun" the song through the card played as Barb slammed the card on the ground, stomping on it. Eddy looked at the now furious Queen Barb, between her pet being done up and the song in her card, Eddy did not want to be the one on her bad side.
"Who does this Poppy bitch think she is!" Barb yelled, on the edge of a tantrum as Eddy looked at her, asking if she was alright and telling her not to pay the Pop Queen any mind, Barb just bounced back.
"Pop isn't even real music, it's all remixes and samples, no riffs, no hooks and no solos" Barbs went off on a tirade about Pop music as Carol took the cue to get the hell out of there before the Queen erupted on a rampage. Eddy noticed the crumpled card sparkling.
"What's this?'' Eddy asked, picking up the card as he opened it, only to have it explode in a mess of glitter. Eddy just dropped the card and wiped the glitter from his face, more annoyed than mad as he only imagined how it would have gone down if it exploded in Barb's face.
"Oh hell no, she just declared war," Barb said looking at the mess of glitter on her floor. Eddy shook his hair, getting the last of the glitter out.
"Look, this is annoying, but we should not let the Pop Queen ruin our celebration, how about we put a record on and finish our drinks, not those ones" Eddy said looking at the bottles spilled on the ground, mixed with the glitter as Barb was seeming to calm down.
"Yeah, I need to get that earworm out of my head" Barb replied, flicking through her box of vinyl records, asking Eddy what he wanted to hear as Eddy shrugged, saying whatever Barb picked, he was sure he'd like it. She came back with a Vinyl her Dad had recorded when he was young.
"If you like my skills, my Dad's music will blow your brain out of your skull" Barb claimed, opening the sleeve as she pulled out a vinyl record, walking to her player as she placed the black record on the spinning table as she lowered the needle.
If Barb's music was an earthquake, King Thrash's Music was a full apocalypse, he was fiercer, louder, and heavier than his daughter without question. Barb plopped down on the couch, the loud record putting her at ease, sitting on the couch with Eddy who wanted to take her mind off the Pop Queen.
"So, where are we heading, You have two strings, you only need four more," Eddy asked as Barb pulled a map out from the coffee table glossing it over. they started at Volcano Rock and just went past Technotown, Barb pointed to the next place on the map.
"There, Symphonyville, home of the Classical Trolls, once we get that string, we're halfway there," Barb said, regaining her excitement. Eddy looked at Barb, asking when they should pack up camp and move out. Barb told him they would leave at sunrise, A lot of Rock Trolls were celebrating and would be passed out for a while.
"Plus a good night of sleep, would do good for everyone, speaking of which you got a place I can rest my head?" Eddy asked as Barb looked at him, saying he wasn't sleeping in her bus as Eddy stood up, saying he could take the hint, as he walked out of the Anglerbus, Telling the Queen he would see her in the morning when they would make their move on the next String.
"Eddy just laid down on the ground, the celebration outside was a small one, not a big show like the previous one they had but a few trolls were drinking beers around a big bonfire, some sleeping on the ground, some passed out. Eddy simply laid on his back, looking up at the stars and closing his eyes.
Back in Barb's Angler Bus, the creature zipped up its mouth as Barb fell on the mattress she used while on tour, it wasn't her bed back at Rock Castle but she rarely cared for comfort, removing her leather shorts and fishnet stocking before pulling the sheets over herself. On one hand, Barb was too excited to sleep because she had the Techno String and her Tour was going off without a hitch, one the other hand she will still royally pissed off at the Pop Queen, messing up Debbie and trying to bomb her with glitter. Barb knew when she came face to face to Poppy she'd make her pay.
A/N and with that the Rock Trolls are in possession of the second string, I didn't show them attacking Techno Town because it pretty much went down as it did in the movie, if something happens too similar to the movie I'll gloss over it.
