The next world will be a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon world. It will be based of the Explorers series with some characters from the Rescue Teams series appearing.
Chapter 24: Explorers of the Keyblade Part 1
After going through Sunlight Storm, Sora was playing Pokemon Heartgold and was battling the champion Lance. He defeated him and won the game.
Plucky: No way! How come you can defeat the champion and I can't?
Elder-Ham: I'll have to say he has more experience than you.
Sora: Actually, I think it's beginner's luck.
Plucky: That's gotta be it. You're always lucky to go through those gyms.
Sora: Maybe you're just bad at playing this game.
Sneezer: Guys, if you could stop arguing, we're heading to another world.
Everyone looks out the window to see a giant continent.
Sora: What world is that?
Sweetie: It's called the Pokemon World.
Plucky: Didn't we just went to the Pokemon World?
Sweetie: Nope. This world is different. In this world, humans don't exist, Pokemon form Rescue Teams, and they go exploring in Mystery Dungeons.
Dizzy: Mystery Dungeons?
Sweetie: They are dungeons with changing layouts. This continent is called the Grass Continent. In the continent is a town called Treasure Town. It's a town full of shops and a guild called the Wigglytuff Guild.
Sora: Well, let's go down there.
Sweetie: First, you have to be in you're Pokemon disguises. There are only Pokemon in this world.
Plucky: No problem. I can use my magic to transform us into Pokemon.
Sora: Then let's go down there as Pokemon.
Sneezer: Aye aye, captain! Departing for the Pokemon World!
The Gummi Ship departs for the Grass Continent. Down in the Pokemon World, there is a canyon. It seems peaceful and quiet. In the canyon is a small blue and yellow echidna-like Pokemon. He has squinty eyes and four spots on his back. He saw some pebbles moving and hears some rumbling. He looks to see where it comes from and saw a herd of brown bull Pokemon called Tauros. He starts running away from the Tauros, but they are catching up to him. He then jumps on a tree with no leaves. One of the Tauros hits the tree and he bounced off of it. He lands on the wall of the canyon and starts climbing up on it. At the end of the cliff, he saw a sinister-looking Pokemon. The Pokemon looks like a black ghost with long white hair and a blue eye. The evil Pokemon grabs the small Pokemon and threw him down to the Tauros herd.
Pokemon: NOOOOOOOOOO!
Suddenly, the same Pokemon woke up.
Pokemon: NOOOOOOOOOO!
He then realizes he had a nightmare. He got up and looks out to the sky. He is in some kind of cave with a small waterfall in it and an opening that shows the sea and sky.
World: Grass Continent
In another part of the Grass Continent, there is a canyon with a green sky. Three beams of light came down from the sky and three Pokemon came out. One looks like the same echidna Pokemon, except that his body is brown and gray and wears a crown necklace. One looks like a Swellow, except that he has green at where the blue normally is and has a face of Plucky. The last one looks like a Grotle with a yellow shell and leaves on it like normal, except that he has purple at where the green normally is and has a face of Dizzy. They are obviously Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy in their Pokemon Forms.
Sora: Check us out!
Plucky: Yeah. I'm a Swellow, Dizzy is a Grotle, and you're a Cyndaquil. If Kairi sees you in that form, she would think you are cute.
The gang looks around the canyon.
Sora: This place looks kinda creepy, though.
Dizzy: Guys, Dizzy think we have company.
He looks at three Pokemon. One looks like a purple imp with red eyes and an evil smile. One looks like a purple rattlesnake. The last one looks like a gray humanoid with pink hair and pants. They are Gengar, Ekans, and Medicham. Sora looks at three more Pokemon. One looks like a purple skunk with a tail stretching back to his head. One looks like a Weezing, except that he is one toxic ball instead of three. The last one is a blue bat with no eyes. They are are Skuntank, Koffing, and Zubat. Plucky looks at the last Pokemon, which looks like a gray ghost with a single red eye. That Pokemon is Dusknoir. Suddenly, a bunch of Sableye appears and surrounds the canyon.
Dusknoir: Well, what have we here?
Sora: Are they Heartless?
Dizzy: Dizzy no think so. Dizzy think they Pokemon.
Plucky: Don't mind us. We're just passing through. We won't cause any trouble.
Sora: Yeah, that's right!
Gengar: Don't be silly. We'd love for you to stick around for our Outlaw Mission.
Sora: Umm...We don't wanna cause trouble.
Skuntank: That's not gonna be a problem.
Dizzy:(Gulps)Pokemon may be after us!
Dusknoir: That's right. We're after you three. You three look innocent enough for us to beat up.
Plucky: LET'S GET OUTTA HERE!
The trio starts running in opposite directions of the canyon. Then Sora trips and fell over. Skuntank walks up to him.
Skuntank: Going somewhere?
Plucky and Dizzy got surrounded by a bunch of Sableye. Skuntank was about to attack Sora, when suddenly...
?: DUSKNOIR! GENGAR! SKUNTANK! BRING ALL YOUR MINIONS AND REPORT TO ME AT ONCE!
Skuntank: Man, Lord Darkrai has to call us at the worst time.
Gengar: Just ignore him. We can finish these losers off.
Skuntank: Nah, we better go see what he wants. Otherwise, he'll have our hides.
Gengar:(Sighs)Fine...We'll deal with those chumps later.
The evil Pokemon all left the canyon.
Sora: I dunno what that's about, but I'm glad it's over.
Plucky and Dizzy sighs.
Sora: Everything's harder on four legs.
Plucky: Better start practicing.
Dizzy: Dizzy found trick to it. Me show you.
He broke into a song and dance.
Dizzy: Put one foot in the front of other, and soon you walk across floor. Put one foot in front of other, and soon you be walking out door.
He bumps into a wall and fell down.
Plucky: You're just like me, when we were back in Dreamland.
Dizzy: At least Dizzy not as clumsy as Plucky. We gotta learn how to defend for ourselves in new Pokemon Forms.
Sora: Well, we better get outta here, before those Pokemon find us again.
The trio starts to leave the canyon and enters a forest. Along the way, they saw two Pokemon. One looks like a small light green sauropod with a green leaf on her head and a green necklace. The other looks like a small light blue anthropomorphic crocodile with red scales on his back. Sora recognizes the two Pokemon.
Sora: Hey, isn't that Chikorita and Totodile?
Suddenly, Heartless are chasing Chikorita and Totodile around.
Sora: Are those what I think they are?
Plucky: Heartless?
Dizzy: What we do?
Sora caught up to Chikorita and Totodile.
Sora: You two stay back!
Sora and the gang fought a new type of Heartless called the Living Bones. They are black theropod-like Heartless with skull heads and skeleton tails with wrecking balls at the end. The Heartless starts spinning their tails around, doing some damage to the trio, but Sora rode on one of them and made it cause shockwaves, as it stomps around the battlefield. The trio manages to finish off the Heartless.
Sora: Definitely Heartless.
Chikorita and Totodile walks up to the trio.
Chikorita: Thank you for saving us.
Dizzy: We glad you two are OK.
Sora: Hey, Chikorita! Hey, Totodile! Do you remember us?
Totodile: Come to think of it, you three look familiar.
The two Pokemon looks at Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy. They noticed that the Swellow and Grotle looks like Plucky and Dizzy and saw a crown necklace on the Cyndaquil. They realized that it's the same trio.
Chikorita: Sora! Plucky! Dizzy! It's so good to see you again!
Sora: Did you see any other Heartless around here?
Totodile: No. We haven't seen any other Heartless around.
Chikorita: We don't usually go on Rescue Missions at the Hidden Land.
Plucky: Hidden Land?
Sora: Hey, do you know if a guy named Riku is here? Or some bad guys in black hoods? Or maybe those bullies named Montana Max and Team Rocket?
Chikorita shook her head no. Sora just sighs.
Sora: Oh, well. We might as well go take a look, anyway.
Plucky and Dizzy nods.
Totodile: Wait! The Hidden Land is dangerous.
Chikorita: Darkrai and his minions are roaming around the Hidden Land. They will attack anyone who enters the Hidden Land.
Sora: We can handle a little danger. You saw us beat those Heartless, didn't you?
Chikorita: I guess you're right. You could be just what the Grass Continent needs.
Totodile: Maybe you can help us.
Dizzy: Maybe we can take on Darkrai and his Pokemon?
Plucky: Darkrai?
Chikorita: He took over the Hidden Land and plans to take over the world.
Sora: So, you're saying Darkrai took over this land. You want us to take down the ruler of this land?
Chikorita nods.
Sora: Wait just a minute.
He ran back to Plucky and Dizzy.
Sora: We can't just go around, knocking rulers off their thrones. Then again, if they see I'm stronger than the ruler of this land, maybe they'll ask me to be the new ruler.
Dizzy: Sora...
Sora: Just kidding! I'd have to refuse, of course. Still, I'd like to see the Hidden Land, so you guys don't mind lending them a paw, do you?
He ran back to Chikorita and Totodile.
Plucky: Uh-oh, here he goes again.
Chikorita nods and she and Totodile ran off.
Sora: They're gonna go on ahead and tell the other Pokemon of this land. We're supposed to meet them at the place called the Rainbow Stoneship.
Sora and the gang follows Chikorita and Totodile through the forest. Along the way, they fought many Heartless, including a new type called the Aerial Knockers. They are white bird-like Heartless with boxing gloves. The Aerial Knockers tried to punch at the trio, but they easily countered their attacks. Sora fought the Heartless with the Keyblade in his mouth. They finished off the Heartless and heads to what looks like an old ruins.
Totodile: This ruins will lead us to the Rainbow Stoneship.
Sora: Then let's go inside.
The whole gang enters the ruins. Inside the ruins are murals. One mural looks like a white cat-like Pokemon.
Sora: That Pokemon kinda looks like Mewtwo, except much cuter.
Chikorita: That's Mew. They say that it's a Legendary Pokemon that can know all the moves that every Pokemon can learn.
The gang passed another mural that looks like Groudon and Kyogre.
Sora: That's Groudon and Kyogre. I remembered having a tough fight with them and Rayquaza back at the Ever Grande Conference.
Totodile: I know. They are very powerful Pokemon we fought back at the Air Continent, too.
The last mural looks like a blue sauropod-like Pokemon and a white theropod-like Pokemon.
Sora: What are those Pokemon?
Totodile: They are called Dialga and Palkia. They are the Legendary Pokemon of space and time. Dialga can control time. Palkia can control space.
The whole gang finally left the ruins and encounters two Pokemon. One Pokemon is a green lizard-like Pokemon with a red stomach and leaves on his arms and head. The last Pokemon is a pink fairy-like Pokemon.
Chikorita: Grovyle! Celebi! It's so good to see you again!
Celebi: Chikorita! Totodile! It's good to see you, too!
Sora: Do you know them?
Totodile: We met them in the future.
Plucky: The future? How did they get here?
Chikorita: It's a long story.
She walks up to Grovyle and Celebi.
Chikorita: I found the heroes you're looking for.
Grovyle and Celebi walks up to Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy, and inspects them.
Celebi: Those are some very strange fellows.
Grovyle: Indeed. They are not like any other Pokemon I know.
He walks up to Chikorita and whispers in her ears. She looks down in disappointment.
Sora: What is it?
Chikorita: Grovyle said that it won't work with you guys to help us drive Darkrai and his minions out of the Hidden Land.
Totodile: You see, whoever saves the Hidden Land will be ruler of the Grass Continent. But he has to have the right qualities.
Sora: Meaning...
Dizzy: They must mean Sora not cut out for job.
Sora sighs in disappointment.
Chikorita: I'm sorry to bring you all the way here.
Sora: No. It's OK.
Chikorita walks up to Sora.
Chikorita:(Whispers)You better go, before Darkrai finds out about you.
Totodile: We're really sorry.
Before Sora and the gang could leave, they got corned by Gengar's team, Skuntank's team, and a bunch of Sableye.
Gengar: Hey, look. We got ourselves some weaklings to beat up.
The evil Pokemon all laughed, but stops, when they saw someone on top of a pyramid with three stairs on each side. They saw a black ghost Pokemon. Next to him is Dusknoir, a Meowth, and three Sableye, but they look different. The Sableye have the faces and hairs of Monty, Jessie, and James.
Skuntank: Look at that. Here comes Lord Darkrai.
Sora noticed the Meowth and three Sableye.
Sora: And there's Monty and Team Rocket!
Darkrai and Dusknoir floats down the pyramid and approached Sora and the gang. Monty and Team Rocket ran down the stairs, but fell over and lands on the ground. Team Rocket lands on Monty's back.
Monty: OW! My back!
Monty and Team Rocket stood back up and walks next to Darkrai.
Sora: What are you doing here?
Monty: Aww, the cute little Pokemon is worried about us.
Meowth: If I were you, I'd be more worried about my friends.
Sora turns around to see Plucky and Dizzy getting attacked by Gengar's team, Skuntank's team, and the Sableye.
Plucky: Sora, help!
Dizzy: We surrounded!
Darkrai turns to Chikorita and the other Pokemon.
Darkrai: Go on, Pokemon. You've got some missions to do.
Chikorita: We'll never do any of your missions, Darkrai!
Totodile: That's right! We won't hunt down innocent Pokemon!
Dusknoir: Innocent Pokemon? Then what do you call those weird Pokemon?
Sora: Who are you calling weird?
Darkrai: They do seem like they're not from this world.
Monty: Of course not. They are strangers like us.
Meowth: They're all yours, Darkrai.
Monty and Team Rocket ran off. Darkrai was about to attack, when suddenly, a Razor Leaf and Water Gun knocks him down to the ground. Sora turns to see Chikorita and Totodile have done it.
Chikorita: Run, guys! We'll hold him off as much as we can!
Sora nods and ran back to the forest with Plucky and Dizzy. Chikorita and Totodile caught up with them.
Chikorita: Follow us! We know a way out!
The gang ran deep into the forest, where Darkrai's minions lost track of them.
Chikorita: I'm sorry I got you involved in this.
Sora: It's no big deal.
Plucky: It's not your fault. Sora wouldn't be a good king.
Sora: Hey! I had to give it a try, right?
Dizzy: Sora did wanna be king!
Sora: Well...you know...
He turns to Chikorita and Totodile.
Sora: Chikorita, isn't there anybody else who could rule this world?
Chikorita: There was a friend of ours...But he was afraid of fighting Darkrai. He gave up on Rescue Missions, when we returned from the future. The future is a terrible world, where time and space no longer existed. If only Cyndaquil were here.
Sora: Cyndaquil? How could I forget about him? He was fighting right beside us not too long ago.
Totodile: Do you know where Cyndaquil is?
Sora: That...I don't know.
Chikorita: First, we should escape from the Hidden Land. We'll go back to the entrance, where Lapras is waiting. Darkrai won't follow us there.
The gang escapes the forest and went to the entrance of the Hidden Land. There, they found a blue plesiosaurus Pokemon named Lapras. They saw him floating in the air.
Sora: Whoa! That plesiosaurus can fly?
Chikorita: No, he can only swim like normal. The reason why he's floating is because the Hidden Land is a floating island.
Sora and the gang looks down the edge of the cliff to see that the island was indeed floating. Chikorita and Totodile walks up to Lapras.
Totodile: Lapras, can you take us and our new friends back to the Grass Continent?
Lapras: Of course. I'll take you all back.
Chikorita and Totodile jumps onto Lapras's back.
Totodile: Come on, Sora!
Sora: Right behind you!
Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy hops onto Lapras's back and Lapras starts floating away from the Hidden Land and returns to the sea.
That's it for chapter 24. Gengar's team is called Team Meanies and Skuntank's team is called Team Skull. Team Meanies is from the Rescue Team games. I also know that Darkrai appears in the post game of the Explorers games, but he was responsible for all of the events in those games. The Air Continent is from the Rescue Team games and the Grass Continent is from the Explorers games. However, they aren't named, until Super Mystery Dungeon. Next time, Sora and the gang will get to meet Cyndaquil again.
