Chapter 26: Rocket Revenge at the Cassidy & Butch Cup
Sora and the gang returns to the Distortion World entrance, where they meet Kirby's group again.
Sora: Hi, Tiff, Tuff, and Kirby!
Tiff: Hi, Sora! How are you doing?
Sora: We're doing great. How about you guys?
Tuff: We're doing fine. You guys came for the next tournament?
Plucky: Yes. What is the next tournament called?
Tiff: We don't know yet. I think Ash and his friends might know.
Sora: We'll go talk to them. See you all later.
Tuff: We'll cheer for you in the tournament.
Sora waves good-bye to Kirby's group and walks up to see Ash and his friends talking to the Digidestined. Some of the Pokemon are playing with some of the Digimon, like Pikachu playing with Patamon and Skitty playing with Gatomon.
Dizzy: It look like Pokemon Trainers talking with Digidestined.
The Pokemon Trainers and Digidestined turns to see the trio again.
Tai: Look, it's Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy!
Sora: Hi, guys! How are you all doing?
May: We're all doing fine. Some of our friends made new friends with the Digidestined.
Dawn: Me and Mimi became really good friends, because we have a common interest in jewelry.
Mimi: It's nice to know someone from the Pokemon World, who has alot in common with me.
Sora: So, who will be participating in the next tournament.
Matt: Only me and Tai will be participating among the Digidestined.
Dawn: Me and Ash will participate individually.
Plucky: So, what will the next tournament be called?
Ash: I think it's called the Cassidy & Bill Cup.
Suddenly, everyone could hear Butch from the other side of the room yelling.
Butch: I HEARD THAT, YOU TWERP! THE NAME IS BUTCH!
Sora: Well, let's hurry up and register.
The whole gang registers for the tournament. Then they went on the platform that takes them to the Distortion League. Auron joins Team Sora again, as they entered the arena. Their first opponent is Team Alucard. The team consisted of Alucard, Richter, and Maria.
Sora: Alucard! Richter! It's good to see you two again.
Alucard: Good to see you too, Sora.
Sora: Where's Annette?
Richter: She's right over there.
Team Sora looks up at where Richter is pointing. On the seat is Annette, cheering them on.
Annette: Come on, Richter! You can do it!
Brock from the other side of the stadium is all lovestruck. Misty and Max just sweatdrops.
Brock: Oh, another lovely lady! I wonder if I could ask her out for a date?
Suddenly, Brock got struck from behind by Croagunk again.
Alucard: We may have saved my world from father, but don't think I'll go easy on you.
Sora: Same here. I won't back down either.
Referee: Let the battle begin!
The fight starts with Sora and Auron fighting Alucard, Plucky fighting Maria, and Dizzy fighting Richter. Alucard summons his Great Armor familiar to help him fight Sora and Auron. Alucard and his familiar are clashing blades with Sora and Auron. Maria summons white doves to attack Plucky, but he counters back with Fira, burning some doves. Maria summons Seiryu to attack Plucky, doing some damage to him. Plucky counters with Blizzard, doing some damage to her. Richter keeps attacking Dizzy with his whip, but Dizzy dodged every single lash. Richter then throws a Cross Boomerang at Dizzy, but he dodged that, too. Dizzy delivers punches and kicks on Richter. He then finish Richter off with his Spin Attack, doing alot of damage, and knocking him out.
After taking care of Richter, Dizzy joins Plucky to fight Maria. Maria summons Suzaku to create a rain of fire, doing some damage to the two toons. Plucky counters with the Magnet spell, luring her to the magnetic sphere. Plucky uses Thunder on her while Dizzy punches and kicks her. They keep using Thunder, punches, and kicks, until she is knocked out. Sora and Auron were able to take out Alucard's familiar. Alucard counters with Spinning Edge, throwing axes at Sora and Auron, doing some damage. Sora and Auron counters with their sword clashes, knocking Alucard's sword out of his hand. Sora and Auron keeps slashing him, until he got knocked out.
Referee: Team Sora is the winner!
Sora ran up to Alucard.
Sora: Are you OK, Alucard?
Alucard: I'm OK. I've underestimated you.
Sora: To be fair, I held back myself.
Alucard: Next time, I'll have to use the powers of Dominus.
Sora: That's a fight I will be looking forward to.
Sora and Alucard shook hands and took a 10 minute break. After the break is over, Team Sora returns to the arena. Their next opponent is Team Tai. The team consisted of Tai, Agumon, Matt, and Gabumon.
Girl Sora: Come on, Tai!
Biyomon: Show them what you got, Agumon!
Mimi: Come on, Matt!
Palmon: You can do it, Gabumon!
Sora: So, I get to fight you two again?
Tai: That's right. And this time, we won't hold back.
Tai and Matt's Digivices started glowing, making Agumon and Gabumon glow, too.
Agumon: Agumon Warp Digivolve to...WARGREYMON!
Agumon transforms into a humanoid dragon covered in silver armor and helmet with golden wings and gauntlets with silver claws.
Gabumon: Gabumon Warp Digivolve to...METALGARURUMON!
Gabumon transforms into a wolf all covered in blue metal.
Sora: Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon again? You know I've beaten them before with ease.
Matt: Don't be too sure. We have trained alot and gotten alot stronger. We won't lose this time.
Sora: We'll see about that.
Referee: Let the battle begin!
Sora and Auron went after Wargreymon, while Plucky and Dizzy went after Metalgarurumon. They all flew up in the air, including Auron.
Sora: How did you learn how to fly, Auron?
Auron: With some magic, I can fly in a battle.
Wargreymon clashed with Sora and Auron with his Dramon Killers. After clashing claws and blades for awhile, Wargreymon uses Brave Tornado, spinning his whole body and creating a fire tornado. He charges at Sora and Auron, doing some damage to them. Metalgarurumon uses Garuru Tomahawk to fire a giant missile from his chest, but Plucky and Dizzy dodged it and attacks him with Fira and Headbutt. They did some damage to him. Metalgarurumon then use Ice Wolf Claw to fire a powerful ice beam at the two toons, but Plucky uses Reflect to create a barrier around him and Dizzy. The barrier reflects the beam back at Metalgarurumon, freezing him. Plucky finished him off with Thundara, zapping him, sending him back down on the ground, and reverting him to his Rookie Form.
Upon seeing his friend fall in battle, Wargreymon decides to use his ultimate attack. He uses Terra Force to charge up a giant fireball. He threw the attack at Sora and Auron, who held onto the attack. They were struggling for a bit at first, but then starts pushing back. They use their blades to slash the fireball back at Wargreymon. Upon impact, the fireball creates a massive explosion. When the explosion dies out, Wargreymon's armor is badly damaged. Sora and Auron finished him off with one powerful slash, destroying his armor, and reverting him back to his Rookie Form, as he fell to the ground.
Referee: Team Sora is the winner!
Tai and Matt ran up to their Digimon.
Tai: Agumon! Are you OK?
Agumon: I'm fine, Tai.
Sora ran up to Tai and Agumon.
Sora: That was a great battle. You were alot stronger than last time.
Tai: That was nothing. Wait until you see when Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon merge.
Sora: They have one more transformation?
Matt: Yes. And that's not all. Our friends can also Digivolve their Digimon to Mega, too.
Sora: That's great. I can't wait to see them all.
Tai: You'll have to wait, until next time, when we shall have our rematches.
Sora and Tai shook hands and took a 10 minute break. After the break is over, Team Sora returns to the arena. Their next opponent is Dawn herself.
Mimi: Come on, Dawn! You can do it!
Sora: So, I get to battle Dawn next?
Dawn: That's right. I'll show you some of my skills as a Pokemon Coordinator.
She pulls out three of her Pokeballs.
Dawn: Piplup, Pachirisu, Mamoswine, SPOTLIGHT!
She released Piplup, Mamoswine, and a white squirrel with yellow cheeks and a light blue stripe running across it's back.
Referee: Let the battle begin!
Sora and Auron battles Mamoswine, Plucky battles Piplup, and Dizzy battles Pachirisu. Piplup uses Bubblebeam to fire a bunch of bubbles from his mouth. The bubbles hits Plucky, doing alot of damage. Piplup then use Drill Peck, spinning his whole body like a drill, and his beak starts glowing. The attack hits Plucky again, doing even more damage. Plucky counters with Thundara, doing alot of damage to Piplup. Dizzy is battling Pachirisu. Pachirisu uses Spark, covering her body in electricity, and charges at Dizzy, doing alot of damage. She then use Discharge to fire electricity all over the battlefield, shocking everybody but herself. Dizzy counters by punching and kicking her like crazy.
Sora and Auron are battling Mamoswine. Mamoswine uses Ancient Power on the two, but they dodged the attack. He then use Blizzard, but they dodged it as well. They both slashed him with their blades alot. Suddenly, Piplup and Pachirisu jumps on Mamoswine's back, as Mamoswine uses Earthquake, making the earth shake. Suddenly, the earth cracks on the feet of Sora, Auron, Plucky, and Dizzy, doing alot of damage to them. The four of them panted heavily.
Plucky: Man...her Pokemon...are too...powerful.
Dizzy: Dizzy...need time...to strategize.
Sora: We should...try the...Trinity Limit.
Plucky & Dizzy: Right!
Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy uses the Trinity Limit. First, they use Break to deliver slashing combos at Dawn's Pokemon. Then they use Major Drive to fire a bunch of orbs at the Pokemon. Then they use Ultima to create a giant orb to suck in the Pokemon for a powerful combo attack. Finally, they use the Trinity Flash to create a powerful explosion of light. When the light dies down, Dawn's Pokemon are all knocked out.
Referee: Team Sora is the winner!
Dawn ran up to her Pokemon.
Dawn: Are you guys alright?
Her Pokemon all got up and nods.
Dawn: You all deserve a rest.
She returns her Pokemon to their Pokeballs. Sora walks up to her.
Sora: That was a great battle, Dawn.
Dawn: Thanks, Sora. Next time, I will have to team up with Mimi and give it my all.
Sora: I'd look forward to that day.
Sora and Dawn shook hands and took a 10 minute break. After break time is over, Team Sora returns to the arena. Their next opponent is Ash again.
May: Come on, Ash! You can beat him this time!
Sora: So, I get to fight you again?
Ash: I guess so. I'll use a different team this time.
He pulls out three of his Pokeballs.
Ash: Quilava, Bayleef, Heracross, I CHOOSE YOU!
He released Quilava, Bayleef, and Heracross.
Referee: Let the battle begin!
Sora and Auron battles Heracross, Plucky battles Quilava, and Dizzy battles Bayleef. Quilava uses Flame Wheel at Plucky, doing some damage to him. Plucky counters with Blizzara, freezing Quilava in ice, but he manages to melt the ice and uses Flamethrower to burn Plucky. Meanwhile, Bayleef is using Vine Whip on Dizzy, but he dodged all of the whips. He then use Headbutt on Bayleef, doing some damage to her. She then use Razor Leaf to hit Dizzy with sharp leaves. Meanwhile, Sora and Auron are slashing at Heracross, but he grabs both of their blades and pushed back at them. He then use Megahorn to make his horn glow and hits the two. He then use Close Combat to deliver punches and kicks at them. They both took alot of damage.
Sora: Man, they are alot stronger than I thought.
Auron: You're friends are not faring much better against the other Pokemon.
Quilava ran up to Plucky, threw him in the air, and uses Eruption to unleash lava from his head and rear flames, doing alot of damage to Plucky. Bayleef charges up her Solarbeam, then fires a beam of sunlight at Dizzy, doing alot of damage to him. Plucky and Dizzy are barely standing up and panting heavily.
Plucky: They are...too strong...for us.
Dizzy: Dizzy...no match...for them.
Sora: Leave them to us. Me and Auron will take care of them.
As Quilava, Bayleef, and Heracross charges at Team Sora, Sora and Auron uses Bushido again. They use Shooting Star, Banishing Blade, and Spiral to deliver a series of powerful attacks. The Pokemon took alot of damage, but they're not out yet. They stood up, breathing heavily
Plucky: WHAT? They're not out yet?
Sora: Don't worry, Plucky. They're alot weaker now.
Auron Let's finish them off.
Plucky and Dizzy both jumped in the air and delivered powerful jump kicks on Quilava and Bayleef. Their attacks knocked Quilava and Bayleef out. Finally, Sora and Auron delivers one powerful slash at Heracross. Their attacks knocked Heracross out.
Referee: Team Sora is the winner! They will proceed to the final round!
Ash ran up to his Pokemon.
Ash: Quilava, Bayleef, Heracross, are you OK?
His Pokemon all nodded. Sora walks up to Ash.
Sora: That was a great battle.
Ash: Yeah. But I'm still not my usual self.
Ash just walks away in sadness. Team Sora took a 10 minute break. After break time is over, they returned to the arena. Their next opponents are Cassidy and Butch.
Sora: So, we get to fight Cassidy and Bob next?
Butch: FOR THE LAST TIME, THE NAME IS BUTCH!
Cassidy: You may have beaten us before. But this time, we will win.
Cassidy and Butch pulls out their Pokeballs.
Cassidy: Houndour, Sableye, Granbull, COME ON OUT!
She released Houndour, Sableye, and a light purple anthropomorphic bulldog.
Butch: Hitmontop, Mightyena, Shuckle, YOU TOO!
He released Hitmontop, Mightyena, and a yellow worm-like Pokemon with a red shell.
Cassidy: Before we start, the final round shall go dark!
She claps her hands twice. Suddenly, the whole arena goes dark.
Sora: Great. Now, I can't see a thing.
Referee: Let the battle begin!
As Team Sora tried to find Team Rocket's Pokemon, they got hit by their attacks. Houndour uses Crunch on Plucky, Hitmontop uses Triple Kick on Dizzy, Sableye uses Shadow Claw on Sora, Mightyena uses Dark Pulse on Auron, Granbull uses Crunch on Plucky, and Shuckle uses Rollout on Dizzy. All of the attacks hits the team, doing plenty of damage.
Plucky: OW! Who keeps on biting me?
Dizzy: Dizzy can't see anything.
Auron: We need to focus on where they are coming from.
Sora: I may need to use Wisdom Form again. Plucky!
Plucky: Right!
Sora and Plucky merged to become Wisdom Form again. This time, the team pays attention to their surroundings. Then when Houndour, Sableye, and Granbull attacks, Dizzy uses his Spin Attack on them, knocking them back. When Hitmontop, Mightyena, and Shuckle attacks, Auron slashed at them with his sword. Sora uses Fira and Blizzara at where those Pokemon are, doing alot of damage. Dizzy and Auron manages to knock them back to Butch and Cassidy. Sora finished them off with Thundara, shocking them, and causing an explosion, sending them flying in the air.
Cassidy: NO FAIR! How could those twerps still beat us in the dark?
Butch: They must have cheated! And we're suppose to be the cheaters!
Cassidy & Butch: Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!
A star twinkles from where they were sent flying to.
Referee: Cassidy and Butch has left the ring! Team Sora is the winner!
The audience cheers for Team Sora's victory. Minutes later, Sora was rewarded the Cassidy & Butch Cup. It looks like the Jessie & James Cup, except that it's a black trophy instead of a white one. Back at the entrance, Sora was talking to Ash and his friends. Kirby and his friends were there, too.
Kirby: Sora won! Sora won!
Ribbon: You were incredible, Sora!
Sora: Thanks! I wouldn't have gotten that far if it weren't for your support.
May: The next tournament won't be ready for a while. Me and Ash will be participating in that tournament.
Sora: That's great. I can't wait for a rematch with you.
Ash: Until then, see you later.
Sora and his friends waves good-bye to Ash and his friends and returns to the Gummi Ship.
Sora: Where to now?
Sweetie: We can return to Disney Town.
Plucky: Disney Town? When did it came back?
Sweetie: It came back on the map, while you guys were participating in the tournament.
Sora: Well, let's go back to Disney Town.
Sneezer: Yes, sir! Preparing to return to Disney Town!
The Gummi Ship left the Distortion World, took off into space, and warps back to Disney Town.
That's it for chapter 26. Next time, Sora will return to Disney Town.
