Ghosts

The Trolls were having their party as Eddy laid on the bed in Barb's Anglerbus, his injuries hurting as the Rock Troll simply closed his eyes, resting his hands on his sore head as he just turned on the mattress.

"Wow dude you look like someone took a tractor to you," a voice said as Eddy sat up rubbing his eyes, hearing the familiar voice as he looked at the figure standing at the end of the bed, asking who was there. he saw the figure approaching, revealing himself as Eddy jumped back.

"Jessie, but you're dead?" Eddy bumbled as he rubbed his head, concluding he was dreaming as he looked at the dead Country Troll standing there as he raised his head as he looked at the Rocker.

"You're not dreaming" Jessie replied as Eddy scooted back to keep a distance from him not knowing what to expect as he reached for the closest thing, an empty can, and threw it at Jessie, the metal container going right through him and clattering on the floor.

"In all honesty, I'm surprised you can actually see me, I've been watching you since we landed" Jessie admitted as Eddy just looked at asking what he meant. Jessie just looked at him, reaching for a can as he hand went through it.

"Right, still getting used to that, long story short, I'm a ghost and since Deyo killed me I've been following you around, and let me say it... that Barb character, good one on you" Jessie nudged as Eddy turned to the ghost.

"First thing, there is nothing between me and Barb, we're just helping each other, in her own words, we aren't even friends. we barely know each other, and second if you've been following me this whole time... why am I seeing you now?" Eddy asked as Jessie tilted his hat.

"You were on the other side, I believe seeing ghosts is a side effect of that, It would explain why you can see me now, no one else can see or hear me" Jessie stated placing a cigarette in his mouth striking a match.

"I'm here too" another voice as Eddy turned his head seeing Deyo standing in the corner with his arms crossed, still a bit sore about the situation as Eddy looked at him, saying it served him right as Deyo punched the wall of the bus.

"How about you shut up, you know nothing about me, first my body gets taken for a spin and now I end up dead, how is any of this fair?" Deyo asked his tone much differently as Eddy rubbed his ear looking at the ghost of Deyo, telling something was different about him.

"What do you mean your body was taken for a spin?" Eddy asked confused as Deyo huffed looking at him before collecting himself.

"Hey, Eddy, how are you doing" the voice of Barb called out, opening the bus's mouth as he looked at the Rock Queen turning back to see he was alone on the bus.

"Just great," Eddy thought sarcastically, concluding her showing up either caused the ghosts to leave or more logically snapped him out of it as he looked at her, rubbing his head. He wasn't exactly believing what he saw as Barb carried him a slice of cake.

"The Pop Trolls made this, Poppy wanted to give this to you," Barb said, handing him the plate and fork as he looked at her, asking why she was bringing it and not Poppy. Barb simply defended that she did not want her in her Anglerbus unsupervised as she handed Eddy the cake.

Picking up the fork as he took a bite from the cake, commenting on how sweet it tasted as Barb let out a chuckle.

"I know right, tastes like way too sweet, like eating pure sugar" Barb commented make her distaste for sweet things known as Eddy looked at her, asking the Queen if he could lay a serious question on her as he smiled, saying she was glad he was asking permission to question her as she gave him permission to ask his question.

"Why are you being so nice to me, you even said it yourself, we are not friends" Eddy questioned a bit confused, yeah he knows some things about Barb from reading books but she knew very little about him, they had just met a few days ago, yet she was acting nice to him, nicer than she was to Riff and Carol who were her bandmates as Barb just froze, telling him to try to enjoy the cake as a joke as she left.

Barb exited her bus, thinking about the cake as she stuck her tongue out in disgust. She made her way to the rock section of the party, since almost every tribe was here they split the party into sections styled after each tribe.

"Did any of you try Poppy's cake?" Barb joked sitting at the section where the Rock Trolls set up, having a nacho platter and cheese volcano, a few kegs of beer, and spotlights. Since it was a split theme party there was no music, no one wanted everyone blasting all their music over each other in a garbled mess, plus Eddy was recovering so they kept it down. the only music he Rock trolls had as a small speaker playing a song at low volume.

"Here, something to wash that sweet taste out of your mouth" one of the Rock Trolls said handing a plate of chips, topped with cheese and peppers and a cup of liquid. Barb simply reached for one of the chips, shoveling it in her mouth as Riff and Carol sat beside her, asking how the queen was doing.

"Honestly, I'm doing well, all things considered, we have five strings and soon we'll have the Funk String" Barb responded as Riff looked at her, saying that now Deyo was dead, does this put their original plan back on track to reunite the Trolls under the Rock banner. If one thing was clear to Barb it was that if all the Trolls were going to be together they needed a single beat to them.

"This excuse for a party is just proof, I mean look at this" Barb said pointing out to the party. The country Trolls were having an argument about their neon lights and the Techno Trolls were arguing about Country Trolls Square dancing. Yes, the Trolls were working together, but that was because they had a common goal in defeating Deyo and that he was dead Barb could feel the tension resurfacing.

"Look, we're going to Funk City next to tell them about Deyo and call a peace meeting to unite the Trolls, once we have the Funk String, we invite everyone to a ceremony at Volcano Rock City to celebrate our unity as one Tribe of Trolls, and it will be unity... under Rock" Barb explained as the two bandmates clapped, praising their Queen's genius plan.

"It will practically fulfill itself, because of Deyo the Trolls will be eager to unite," Riff said, simply sucking up to Barb as Carol and a few Rock Trolls nodded as Carol looked at Barb, asking what she was gonna do about Eddy.

"What about him?" Barb asked confused as Carol mentioned he and Twiggy were from Deyo's time and they did not belong here, how would even try to send him back. Barb just simply stated it was not their problem as one of the Trolls snickered.

"She probably doesn't want him to leave" one of the Trolls called out, wearing a denim vest and liberty spikes as the bandmates covered their mouth as Barb set down her glass walking to the obviously drunk Rock Troll.

"What are you implying?" Barb called out the Troll who realized he just called out the Queen as he turned around, the Trolls prevented him from running off as he turned back to the Queen, explaining that she was spending a lot of time with Eddy.

"It's obvious there is something between you two" he replied as Riff palmed himself, sorry for the poor sap who just accused Barb of being soft for someone, he wasn't seriously implying she liked Eddy. Barb walked up to the Troll, giving him a right hook to the face as he fell over, stumbling.

"Okay everyone, listen up, I'm only gonna say this once. There is nothing between me and Eddy, we are NOT a couple and I have zero interest in him, the only reason he is on my bus is because he's injured, and as soon as he heals up... I Don't care what he does, is that clear" Barb called as the Trolls nodded seeing Barb splash her beer on the downed Troll as she stormed off.

"I some time alone" Barb called, instructing the Trolls not to follow her as she walked away from the party, heading outside of Lonesome Flats to be alone with her thoughts.

A/N Is Eddy really seeing Jessie and Deyo's ghosts or is he simply hallucinating due to brain damage, both seem possible, also Barb decides to continue her original goal and gets questioned about feelings for Eddy. What are your thoughts about a Barb X Eddy pairing?
