Chapter 36: Titanic Brawl for the Giratina Cup
The next morning, Sora's group, Ash's group, and Kirby's group all returned to the Distortion World for the next tournament. They still see Cassidy and Butch at the entrance.
Sora: You two are still here?
Cassidy: Yes. The Boss maybe be gone for awhile.
Butch: But Team Rocket still runs the tournaments.
Ash: So, what's the next tournament's name.
Cassidy: It's called the Giratina Cup. It will be a little shorter than the other cups.
Butch: But the participants are some of the strongest fighters in the galaxy.
Sora: Well, sign me up.
Ash: Me and May will participate as well.
Sora, Ash, and May registered for the tournament and went on the platform to the Distortion League. Auron joins Team Sora again, as they entered the arena. Their first opponent is Team Goku. The team consisted of Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, Vegeta, and Trunks.
Sora: Goku! Gohan! Good to see you again.
Goku: Good to see you too, Sora.
Sora: Where's Dende and Videl?
Gohan: They're right over there.
Team Sora looks up at where Gohan is pointing. Dende and Videl are cheering on Team Goku.
Videl: Come on, Gohan!
Dende: You can do it!
Goku: We may have defeated Frieza and the other villains, but don't think I'll go easy on you.
Sora: Same here. I'll show you everything I got.
Referee: Let the battle begin!
Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, and Trunks went into their Super Saiyan Forms and battled Team Sora. Team Sora and Team Goku all flew into the air. Sora blocks a punch from Goku with his Keyblade. Gohan uses Gekiretsu Madan on Plucky, but he dodged the attack. Trunks uses Finish Buster, creating a big yellow energy sphere over his head, and threw it at Dizzy, but he dodged the attack. Vegeta uses a Big Bang Attack on Auron, but he knocks it aside with his sword. Piccolo uses Light Grenade on Sora, but he deflects it back at him. Sora slashed Goku, Plucky uses Thundara on Gohan, Dizzy uses Spin Attack on Trunks, and Auron slashed Vegeta. All of Team Goku took some serious damage.
Goku: Man, you're stronger than the last time we fought.
Sora: Well, we did fight many strong warriors.
Goku: This time, we won't hold back.
Goku charges up a Super Kamehameha, Gohan charges up a Bakuretsu Ranma, Piccolo charges up Hellzone Grenade, Vegeta charges up a Final Flash, and Trunks charges up a Heat Dome Attack. They unleashed their attacks on Team Sora, doing alot of damage to them.
Plucky: Man, they're really strong.
Dizzy: We may need to use Trinity Limit.
Sora: Good idea. Let's try out the Trinity Limit.
Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy uses the Trinity Limit. They use Break, Major Drive, Ultima, and finish with Trinity Flash. All of the attacks did alot of damage to Team Goku. When the light dies down, Team Goku are on the ground, knocked out. The Saiyans are back to their normal forms.
Referee: Team Sora is the winner!
Sora ran up to Goku.
Sora: Are you OK, Goku?
Goku: I'm fine. You've gotten alot more powerful.
Sora: I'll bet I'm as strong as a Super Saiyan now.
Gohan: Wait until you see the next level of a Super Saiyan.
Sora: There's another Super Saiyan level?
Goku: Gohan has achieved it when he trained with me.
Sora: That's great. I can't wait to see it.
Gohan: You'll have to wait, until we have our rematch.
Sora and Goku shook hands and took a 10 minute break. After the break is over, Team Sora returns to the arena. Their next opponent is Team Go-Getters. The team consisted of Cyndaquil, Chikorita, and Totodile.
Sora: So, I get to fight Team Go-Getters.
Cyndaquil: That's right. If you thought that Super Saiyans are tough, you haven't seen nothing yet.
Chikorita: We fought Legendary Pokemon as strong as, or even more powerful than Super Saiyans.
Totodile: Some Legendary Pokemon like Rayquaza are said to be equal to 10 Super Saiyans.
Plucky:(Whimpers)10 Super Saiyans? I don't wanna fight this battle anymore.
He tried to walk away, but Sora and Dizzy grabs him again.
Sora: Well, this battle will be alot more exciting.
Referee: Let the battle begin!
The battle starts with Sora and Auron battling Cyndaquil, Plucky battle Totodile, and Dizzy battling Chikorita. Sora and Auron slashed Cyndaquil several times, doing some damage. But Cyndaquil counters with Flame Wheel and Double Kick, doing alot of damage to the duo. Plucky uses Thundara on Totodile, doing alot of damage. But Totodile uses Ice Beam to freeze Plucky and uses Aqua Tail on him, doing alot of damage. Dizzy delivers punches and kicks on Chikorita, doing some damage. But Chikorita counters with Magical Leaf and Ancient Power, doing alot of damage to Dizzy. Team Sora could feel the pain from their attacks.
Sora: Man, you guys really are as powerful as Super Saiyans.
Cyndaquil: Wait until you see our Team Attack.
Plucky: Team Attack?
Chikorita: It's when we work together to unleash our attacks together.
Cyndaquil, Chikorita, and Totodile charges up their energy, then surrounds Team Sora, and unleashed their ultimate attacks. They used Overheat, Solarbeam, and Hydro Pump, doing alot of damage to Team Sora, and knocking Plucky and Dizzy out. Sora and Auron are panting heavily.
Sora: I...take back...about what...I said...about them...being as...powerful as...Super Saiyans.
Auron: Yeah...they're...alot more...powerful.
Sora: We may...need to...use our...Limit.
Auron: Yeah...it may be...our only chance...to beat them.
Sora and Auron uses Bushido again. They use Shooting Star, Banishing Blade, and Spiral to do alot of damage to Team Go-Getters. The Pokemon trio are barely standing up now.
Sora: Now, we need to finish them off.
Sora and Auron both delivered powerful slashes at Team Go-Getters, knocking the Pokemon trio out.
Referee: Team Sora is the Winner!
Sora ran up to Team Go-Getters.
Sora: Are you three OK?
Cyndaquil: We're fine. You did great, Sora.
Sora: You three are really powerful.
Chikorita: We did fight Legendary Pokemon after all.
Sora: I may have to fight you three again in a rematch.
Totodile: Hopefully you'll get alot stronger by then.
Sora and Cyndaquil shook hands and took a 10 minute break. After the break is over, Team Sora returns to the arena. Their next opponent is May herself.
Ash: Come on, May! You can do it!
Sora: So, I get to fight May next?
May: That's right. You may have defeated Dawn, but I'm a much more skilled Pokemon Coordinator.
She pulls out three of her Pokeballs.
May: Blaziken, Skitty, Glaceon, TAKE THE STAGE!
She released Blaziken, Skitty, and a white fox with light blue hair.
Referee: Let the battle begin!
The battle starts with Sora and Auron fighting Blaziken, Plucky fighting Glaceon, and Dizzy fighting Skitty. Blaziken uses Fire Punch to cover her hands in flames. She punches Sora and Auron, but they dodged her attacks. Sora and Auron slashed at Blaziken, doing some damage to her. Skitty uses Blizzard on Dizzy, freezing him in ice. She then use Assist, using Blaziken's Overheat, melting the ice containing Dizzy, doing alot of damage. Glaceon uses Ice Beam at Plucky, but he counters with Fira. Glaceon then use Shadow Ball and hits Plucky, doing alot of damage. She then follows with Iron Tail and hits Plucky multiple times. Plucky and Dizzy are barely standing.
Plucky: Man, her Pokemon are too powerful.
Dizzy: We need to take on one at a time.
Plucky: That's a good strategy, Dizzy.
Plucky and Dizzy first focused on Skitty. She uses Doubleslap with her tail, slapping Dizzy multiple times, but got zapped by Plucky's Thundara. Dizzy proceeds to use Headbutt on her, making her land on Glaceon. Plucky uses Fira on Glaceon, doing alot of damage to her. Dizzy proceeds to use Spin Attack on Skitty and Glaceon, knocking both of them out. Blaziken uses Blaze Kick to knock Auron's sword off his hand. She was about to finish Auron off, but Sora slashed her multiple times and weakens her with Blizzara, doing alot of damage. Sora and Auron finished her off with Bushido, using Shooting Star, Banishing Blade, and Spiral. She fell to the ground.
Referee: Team Sora is the Winner! They will proceed to the final round!
May ran up to her Pokemon.
May: Blaziken, Skitty, Glaceon, are you alright?
Her Pokemon all got up and nods.
May: You all did great. Take a good rest.
She returns her Pokemon to their Pokeballs. Sora walks up to her.
Sora: That was a great battle, May.
May: Thanks, Sora. You did great, too.
Sora: Maybe we can have a rematch next time.
May: Sure. Hopefully I'll get alot stronger next time.
Sora and May shook hands and took a 10 minute break. After break time is over, Team Sora returns to the arena. Their next opponent is Ash again.
Sora: So, I get to fight you again?
Ash: That's right. This time, I'm at the top of my game.
Sora: That's the Ash I know.
Ash pulls out three of his Pokeballs.
Ash: Snorlax, Sceptile, Infernape, I CHOOSE YOU!
He released Sceptile, Infernape, and a big blue round cat-like Pokemon with a cream-colored tummy and face. Sora seems to recognize Sceptile.
Sora: I see that your Grovyle has evolved.
Ash: He has evolved into Sceptile during the Battle Frontier. I hope you're ready for a tough battle.
Referee: Let the battle begin!
The battle starts with Sora and Auron battling Snorlax, Plucky battling Sceptile, and Dizzy battling Infernape. Sora and Auron slashed at Snorlax with their blades, but they seem to do no damage to him. Snorlax counters with a Mega Punch, doing damage to the two swordsmen. Plucky uses Fira on Sceptile, but he dodged and uses Leaf Blade to slash at Plucky. Dizzy delivers punches and kicks on Infernape, but he dodged every attack. He then use Flamethrower to burn Dizzy. Team Sora is struggling with Ash's Pokemon.
Sora: Man, that Snorlax is too tough for my Keyblade.
Plucky: That Sceptile is too fast for me to hit him.
Ash: You haven't seen nothing yet.
Sceptile uses Leaf Storm to unleash a tornado of leaves and Snorlax uses Hyper Beam. Both attacks did alot of damage to Team Sora. Team Sora is panting heavily.
Sora: Man...his Pokemon...are alot stronger...than before.
Ash: You better give up now if you value your lives.
Auron: We...would...never...give up.
Ash: Then I have no choice but to finish you.
Infernape uses Flare Blitz and charges at Team Sora. Suddenly, Auron jumps in and took the attack for himself, knocking himself out.
Sora: AURON!
Plucky: He took the attack for us.
Sora: We need to become Master Form again if we're gonna beat his Pokemon.
Plucky & Dizzy: Right!
Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy merged to become Master Form again. He is carrying the Moon Power and Guardian Soul Keyblades. Sceptile uses Bullet Seed to fire a bunch of yellow energy seeds, but Sora uses Spin Attack to block them. Infernape uses Mach Punch to land a punch at an incredibly fast speed, but Sora blocks it. Snorlax uses Body Slam to land his whole body on Sora. Suddenly, light glows from under Snorlax and he was sent flying. Sora came out unharmed. Sora fires a bunch of Fira spells at Sceptile and Blizzara spells at Infernape, doing alot of damage to both Pokemon. Sora then proceeds to use Spin Attack on Snorlax, doing alot of damage, and knocking him out. Suddenly, Sceptile and Infernape starts glowing.
Sora: What's going on with those two?
Ash: Sceptile and Infernape has activated their abilities, Overgrow and Blaze. Their attacks will increase immensely.
Sceptile's Leaf Blade grew twice it's size and Infernape's body is glowing with fire. Sora and Sceptile both clashed their blades and Infernape uses Flame Wheel. Sora dodged the Flame Wheel, making it hit Sceptile. Sora uses a final Spin Attack on both Sceptile and Infernape, doing alot of damage, and knocking them out.
Referee: Team Ash is unable to battle! Team Sora is the Winner!
The audience cheers for Team Sora's victory. Ash ran up to his Pokemon.
Ash: Snorlax, Sceptile, Infernape, are you alright?
His Pokemon all got up and nods. Sora walks up to Ash.
Sora: That was a pretty tough battle.
Ash: Yeah, my Pokemon gave it everything they got.
Sora: I'm glad we have a great battle.
Ash: Me too. Next time we have a rematch, I might have to use Charizard and Pikachu.
Sora and Ash shook hands. Minutes later, Sora was rewarded the Giratina Cup. It looks like a gray trophy with a shadow of Giratina on it and golden handles that looks like Giratina's curved rings. Back at the entrance, Sora was talking to Ash and his friends again. Kirby's group is there, too.
Kirby: Sora is incredible! Sora is incredible!
Sora: Thanks, Kirby. You're cheering always gave me support.
Ribbon: So, what are you gonna do now?
Sora: Well, the next tournament won't be for awhile. We'll be traveling to other worlds.
Ash: Just to let you know, I won't be participating in the next tournament. But Gary and Paul will.
Sora: I'm looking forward to battling them.
Ash: Until then, see you later.
Sora and his friends waves good-bye to Ash and his friends and returns to the Gummi Ship.
Sora: So, where do we go now?
Sweetie: We better get back to Odaiba. That world is in danger.
Sora: Really? How is it in danger?
Sweetie: I don't know, but the map senses something evil there.
Sora: Then let's hurry to Odaiba!
Sneezer: Yes, sir! Returning to Odaiba!
The Gummi Ship left the Distortion World and departs for Odaiba.
That's it for chapter 36. Next time, Sora will return to Odaiba. We're going from one monster-themed world to another monster-themed world.
