Futureshock
The group of leaders looked around the empty Backstage room still trying to grasp what happened. Twiggy explained in simple terms that the 'thing' that was possessing Deyo was now possessing Eddy and he stole the Axe of Rock with all Six Strings and flung them through a portal to the future, saying that he had a long headstart on them as she opened the door.
The view outside showed Volcano Rock City covered with squares of glass, giving the floor a mirrorball look and curtains coated in bright neon colors and a glittery substance. Barb practically felt nauseous seeing her home city look like Pop Trolls had a go at designing it, she clenched her fists asking if Eddy did this.
"He Didn't, Greatmane did. He's the Current King of the Rock Trolls and was Deyo's second in command" Twiggy explained, saying that some of the leaders sided with the evil lord out of desperation. Others sided with Me and Eddy as the Rebellion, it would probably be best we meet up with one of them" Twiggy explained as the leaders looked at her, asking about the current leaders.
"I think it's only fair to know how our kingdoms have been doing after our leadership," Trollex asked as everyone else agreed with him. Twiggy sighed feeling it would be best to tell them now as she went on about the current leaders, starting with Greatmane.
In the future the Pop Trolls were nearly wiped out, their last King, Basil was killed by Deyo and as such they came to Volcano Rock City for refugee and eventually mixed cultures, becoming the Pop-Rock Tribe, Greatmane is the leader, his father the previous King fell in love with one of the refugees, resulting in Greatmane, who later became king. As I stated he sided with Deyo, claiming his allegiance was the only thing stopping Deyo from wiping out the Rock Trolls as he did with Pop.
"He's not a bad Troll, he was just dealt a bad hand, that goes over Rock and Pop so, should I go over the ones who sided with Deyo or the rebellion first," Twiggy asked as Branch suggest it was best to know who they were up against as Twiggy nodded.
The Leaders of The Classical Trolls and Funk Trolls are Ludwig, and Josie, both of them allied with Deyo and were corrupted by his magic, it was like they lost track of their former selves, becoming blank slates blindly loyal to Deyo, unlike Greatmane who chose to serve out of free will.
"Out of the Six Leader they got it worst, at least Basil died before seeing any of this" Twiggy explained as Dawn asked what became of the Country tribe as Twiggy looked at her, mentioning that Jesse was the leader of the Country Trolls and that he was killed in their battle with Deyo.
"The only Leader we still have is Robecca, the Queen of Techno, she helped design weapons for the rebellion" Twiggy informed, saying that Pop Village was where she and her people set up shop. considering it was destroyed and Techno Town is where Deyo's forces would have gone to look for them.
Twiggy suggested they stop by Eddy's Record Store, telling the others he had a surplus of magical items and weapons in case the truce between Greatmane and Deyo ever broke. The leaders looked at each other, asking what about them, a large mass of Grey trolls might attract attention as Twiggy said it was a possibility, Volcano Rock was a colorful place.
"We should probably work on getting your colors back but if we get caught just say we're friends of Eddy, he and Greatmane had-actually that might not work, the most we can do is introduce you as former leaders and hope they'll let us pass" Twiggy decided as Branch poked his head out saying it did not look like anyone was out. Twiggy looked confused, peering around the corner confused, saying it was weird, Volcano Rock is usually filled, considering two tribes lived there.
"Maybe they're sleeping or sleeping off a big party they had" Barb stated mentioning that was a part of Rock culture as Twiggy said it was a possibility but they should use this chance to get to Eddy's old store and hope it still existed. They snuck out of the Backstage room, wandering thru Volcano Rock City as Trollzart pointed out to a Rock Troll wearing zebra stripe pants and a pink fishnet shirt sleeping on the ground, clinging to a bottle of Lavade, a popular drink among Rock Trolls that tasted like orange soda.
"Looks like a sugar crash to me, I reckon" Delta reasoned, tapping her foot against the sleeping Troll who muttered something in his sleep while Trollzart said that was a reason he rarely touched the stuff, saying he was a fine juice kind of troll. the group walking to the record store and passing more Trolls Sleeping.
Eventually Made their way a good distance to the Record shop as Twiggy whistled, surprised it was still standing, a store with a sign that read 'Rockin' Records' as Twiggy jiggled the door handle, surprised it was unlocked. Twiggy slowly opened the store, seeing the light switch as she flicked it on, seeing the store empty as footsteps could be heard pattering down the stairs.
"You picked the wrong store to rob, can't you see we're closed!" a voice boomed belonging to a Rock troll with yellow skin and blond hair, wearing a denim vest and jeans, wielding a wooden club as Twiggy put her hands up as the other trolls either jumped back or took a fighting stance.
"Whoa Ronnie, It's just me," Twiggy said as the Troll lowered his club, getting a good look at the trolls, as he looked at Twiggy saying they looked awful and were all Grey as he apologized for his outburst, tossing the club down on a sofa, asking who her friends were. Twiggy introduced them all, introducing the Pop Trolls first as Ronnie jumped back.
He told them Queen Poppy was dead, so how was she standing in front of him, Barb then began to explain the whole Time Travel thing, introducing herself as Ronnie chuckled, looking at Barb saying it was nice to meet the former Rock Queen and that Eddy told him a lot about her as they all looked shocked at the mention of Eddy's name, demanding where he was, still a bit furious for that double-cross.
"He's out getting lunch, he should be back soon, The city had a huge bash yesterday and most of the city is still sleeping it off, it's only 10 in the morning and they don't wake up till 2 maybe 3 PM" Ronnie explained as Twiggy looked at him, telling him that Eddy was infected and possessed by Deyo as he chuckled.
When Qunicy asked what was so funny, Ronnie just explained that he WAS Possessed, telling that according to what Eddy had told him, he was possessed but after consuming the Strings The Dark One gathered enough power to exist without a host body.
"So he basically opened a second portal and chucked Eddy through with no need for him, there must have been some delay because he reappeared weeks ago" Ronnie explained, mentioning he had been looking over the store since he vanished. The group decided to wait until Eddy returned to get the info out of him as Barb while sore being backstabbed (literally) was happier that Eddy wasn't possessed, fearing the worst.
Ronnie told them they were more than welcome to look through the Rock Museum attached to the Store. Ronnie explained in his spare time Eddy collected relics and magical items important to Rock's History as they looked at the posters and vinyl records that lined the shelves, most of it was Modern Pop-Rock but there was a small section of the older stuff.
"I Thought Eddy said that the Old Music was lost, how is this possible" Barb asked holding a record of 'Input/Output and their album 'Stones of Rock' as Ronnie explained that Eddy brought them back so the people would know about the music of the past, it was in indie thing but it had some followers. Barb tried to figure out how Eddy managed to sneak records through the timestream but was just glad they were here, placing the vinyl among the others as she looked through the more modern music, Pop-Rock as they called it
Barb said that she needed to hear what became of her genre, seeing the Trolls on the cover wearing vibrant costumes and weird hairstyles, pulling the Record out of the Sleeve, walking to the Record player that sat on the counter. The other leaders admitted they were curious to hear this record, If Rock Music had changed what could it mean for their genres.
Barb's palms froze as she placed the record on the player, lifting the needle and dropping it on the player as she was curious as to why it wasn't playing as Ronnie coughed, pointing to a cord, mentioning the player wasn't plugged in. he reached down, sticking the plug into an outlet as the door opened.
"Hey, Ronnie, I'm back with the...subs," Eddy weakly replied, dropping one of the subs, splatting on the floor from the shock of seeing the former leaders in his record shop. at a loss of words, he just watched as the record sparked to life, placing a song in the background.
