Before anyone ask, I know that the Goddess of Fate Cup in the original Kingdom Hearts 2 happens after the first Xemnas battle. But it would be weird to have two tournaments at the same time after that battle, so I'm moving the fourth tournament to the point after the 2nd Grass Continent. I will also include a Mega Evolution from Gen 6.
Chapter 41: Psychic Melee for the Mewtwo Cup
Sora and the gang returns to the Distortion World and meet both Ash's group and Kirby's group. Gary, Paul, and Cynthia are there, too.
Sora: Hey, Ash! So, you have three new people with you?
Ash: Yeah, they will participate in the new cup.
Sora: What's it called?
Ash: I think it's called the Mewtwo Cup.
Gary: It will only have people from this world, but our Pokemon are really powerful.
Paul: I hope you're as powerful as you say, otherwise it would be a waste of my time.
Sora: What are you talking about? Of course I'm powerful.
Ash: Just excuse him. He doesn't like facing weak trainers.
Cynthia: The winner of this tournament might get to face Mewtwo.
Brock walks up to Cynthia and held her hands with his.
Brock: Cynthia, I hope you'll win the tournament. It would break my heart if you lose.
Suddenly, Brock got struck again by Croagunk and got pulled away.
Sora: Well, let's go sign up.
Sora and his gang registers for the tournament and went on the platform to the Distortion League. Auron once again joins Team Sora, as they entered the arena. Their first opponent is Gary himself.
Sora: So, we get to fight you, Gary?
Gary: That's right. I may be a Pokemon Researcher like grandpa, but my Pokemon are very powerful.
He pulls out three Pokeballs.
Gary: Blastoise, Umbreon, Arcanine, COME ON OUT!
He released Blastoise, a black fox with yellow rings and stripes around it's body, and an orange dog with tiger stripes.
Referee: Let the battle begin!
The battle starts with Sora and Auron battling Blastoise, Plucky battling Umbreon, and Dizzy battling Arcanine. Sora and Auron starts slashing at Blastoise, but he uses Iron Defense to hide in his shell and turn it into metal, protecting himself from the blades. He then use Rapid Spin to spin his whole body, doing some damage to Sora and Auron. Plucky uses Thundara on Umbreon, but he uses Quick Attack to dodge every attack at really fast speed. He then use Faint Attack to run at Plucky, disappears, reappears behind him, and attacks him. Arcanine uses Fire Blast to create a fire shaped like a Japanese Kanji at Dizzy. Dizzy uses his Spin Attack, but the Fire Blast still did damage to him. Arcanine uses Extremespeed to run much faster than Quick Attack and did alot of damage to Dizzy. Team Sora is struggling with Gary's Pokemon.
Sora: Man, Gary's Pokemon are tough.
Plucky: We may need to try a Trinity Limit on them.
Sora: Good idea, Plucky. Let's try it.
Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy uses the Trinity Limit. They used Break, Major Drive, Ultima, and finished with Trinity Flash. All of the attacks did alot of damage to Gary's Pokemon. When the light dies down, Gary's Pokemon are still standing, but are weakened from the attacks.
Plucky: WHAT? They're still standing?
Sora: Relax, Plucky. They're alot weaker now. We can finish them.
Team Sora charges at Gary's Pokemon to finish them off. Dizzy uses Headbutt on Arcanine, knocking him out. Plucky uses Fira on Umbreon, knocking him out as well. Blastoise uses Hydro Pump to shoot powerful streams of water from his cannons, but Sora and Auron dodged them and finished Blastoise off with one powerful swipe. Blastoise got knocked out, too.
Referee: Team Sora is the winner!
Gary ran up to his Pokemon.
Gary: Are you guys alright?
His Pokemon got up and nods.
Gary: You all did a good job. Take a rest.
He returns his Pokemon to their Pokeballs. Sora walks up to him.
Sora: That was a great battle.
Gary: You did great too, Sora.
Sora: Maybe we can have a rematch next time.
Gary: Sure! I may not go easy on you next time.
Sora and Gary shook hands and took a 10 minute break. After break time is over, Team Sora returns to the arena. Their next opponent is Paul himself.
Sora: So, we get to fight Paul next?
Paul pulls out three Pokeballs.
Paul: Electivire, Honchkrow, Torterra, GO!
He released Electivire, a black crow wearing a top hat, and a green tortoise with a tree on it's back.
Referee: Let the battle begin!
The battle starts with Sora and Auron battling Electivire, Plucky battling Honchkrow, and Dizzy battling Torterra. Electivire uses Thunder Punch on Sora and Auron, who blocks his attacks with their blades. Plucky uses Thundara on Honchkrow, doing some major damage. Honchkrow uses Night Slash to make his wings glow purple and hits Plucky multiple times. Dizzy uses Spin Attack on Torterra, doing some major damage. Torterra uses Giga Drain to drain Dizzy's health for himself.
Paul: It's time to end this. Use your strongest attacks.
Electivire uses Thunder to electrocute Sora and Auron, doing alot of damage. Honchkrow uses Sky Attack, making himself glow, and charges at Plucky, doing alot of damage. Torterra uses Frenzy Plant to summon a bunch of thorny vines from the ground, doing alot of damage to Dizzy. Team Sora were barely standing.
Sora: Man, his Pokemon are much tougher than Gary's Pokemon.
Auron: We may need to use our Limit on them.
Sora: Right!
Sora and Auron uses Bushido again. They used Shooting Star, Banishing Blade, and Spiral to do alot of damage to Paul's Pokemon. Plucky even uses his Limit called Duck Flare, where he fires multiple fireworks at Paul's Pokemon, doing even more damage. The Pokemon are barely standing.
Sora: Now, we need to finish them.
Plucky uses Blizzara on Honchkrow, knocking him out. Dizzy delivers punches and kicks on Torterra, knocking him out too. Sora and Auron finished Electivire off with one powerful slash, knocking him out as well.
Referee: Team Sora is the winner!
Paul returns his Pokemon to their Pokeballs. Sora walks up to him.
Sora: That was a great battle, Paul.
Paul: I may have underestimated you.
Sora: Maybe next time, we can have our rematch.
Sora raised out his hand to Paul, but he just walks away from the arena.
Sora: What's his problem, anyway?
Team Sora took a 10 minute break. After break time is over, Team Sora returns to the arena. Their next opponent is Cynthia herself.
Brock: Come on, Cynthia! Show them what you got!
Sora: So, we get to battle you, Cynthia?
Cynthia: Yes. I may be a champion, but don't think I'll go easy on you.
Sora: I won't go easy on you, either.
Cynthia pulls out three Pokeballs.
Cynthia: Garchomp, Lucario, Milotic, GO!
She released Garchomp, a black and blue anthropomorphic dog with a yellow tummy and spikes on the back of it's hands, and a yellow serpent with a blue fan-like tail.
Referee: Let the battle begin!
The battle starts with Sora and Auron battling Garchomp, Plucky battling Milotic, and Dizzy battling Lucario. Garchomp uses Dragon Claw to clash with Sora and Auron's blades. She then use Dig to dig underground and attack Sora and Auron from below, doing alot of damage. Plucky uses Thunder to electrocute Milotic, doing alot of damage. Milotic uses Ice Beam to freeze Plucky in an ice block. She then use Aqua Tail to crack the ice block, doing alot of damage to Plucky. Dizzy battles Lucario with punches and kicks. Lucario uses Extremespeed to damage Dizzy at extremely high-speed. He then use Aura Sphere to fire a light blue energy sphere at Dizzy, doing alot of damage. Team Sora are struggling from Cynthia's Pokemon.
Cynthia: You better give up if you value your lives.
Sora: We would never give up. We'll keep on fighting to the end.
Cynthia: Then prepare for my Pokemon's ultimate attacks.
Garchomp uses Dragon Rush to charge at Team Sora with a blue aura surrounding her body, Lucario uses Close Combat to deliver powerful punches and kicks at Team Sora, and Milotic uses Surf to create a giant tidal wave at Team Sora. Team Sora took all of the attacks and are panting heavily.
Sora: Man...she's like...the strongest Pokemon Trainer...we have fought...so far.
Plucky: No wonder...she is...the champion.
Dizzy: We can't...give up...now.
Sora: Let's try...the Trinity Limit.
Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy uses the Trinity Limit again. They used Break, Major Drive, Ultima, and finished with Trinity Flash. All of the attacks did alot of damage to Cynthia's Pokemon. When the light dies down, Cynthia's Pokemon are weakened by the attacks.
Sora: Now, let's finish them off.
Plucky uses another Thundara on Milotic, knocking her out. Dizzy uses Spin Attack on Lucario, knocking him out. Sora and Auron finished Garchomp off with multiple slashes, knocking her out, too.
Referee: Team Sora is the winner! They will proceed to the final round!
Cynthia ran up to her Pokemon.
Cynthia: Are you all OK?
Her Pokemon got up and nods. Sora walks up to her.
Sora: That was a really tough battle.
Cynthia: I'm glad we get to have a battle.
Sora: I can see why your the champion.
Cynthia: I can also see why your the champion of the past tournaments, too.
Sora: It seems we have alot in common. Maybe next time, we can have a rematch.
Cynthia: It's a promise. Next time, we'll have a rematch.
Sora and Cynthia shook hands and took a 10 minute break. After break time is over, Team Sora returns to the arena. For a while, nobody seems to show up. Then a blue pillar of light came down from the sky. Coming down from the pillar is a white cat-like Pokemon with a purple tail, bony arms, three fingers on it's paw, and giant feet. Sora recognizes the Pokemon.
Sora: Mewtwo!
Mewtwo: Greetings, Keyblade Master. So, we meet again.
Sora: It's been awhile since we last fought.
Mewtwo: I can sense you have grown alot stronger since last time.
Sora: I bet you have grown alot stronger, too.
Mewtwo: I have been training for a tournament like this. I've also gained a new form.
He pulls out a white stone with a purple mark on it.
Sora: What is that?
Mewtwo: That is a Mega Stone called a Mewtwonite Y. It grants Pokemon the ability to Mega Evolve.
Sora: Mega Evolve? That kinda reminds me of Mega Digivolution.
Mewtwo: Allow me to show you.
He uses the Mega Stone to transform himself. His purple tail is now behind his head, he has a half-ring on top of his head, and three purple claws on his hands and feet. He has become Mega Mewtwo Y.
Sora: Wow! That was incredible!
Mewtwo: With my new powers, I am much stronger than before.
Referee: Let the battle begin!
Team Sora charges at Mewtwo, but he uses Barrier to create a blue energy sphere around him, protecting himself from their attacks. He then use Psychic to telekinetically lift Team Sora and sent them flying across the arena. He then use multiple Shadow Balls on the team, doing alot of damage to them. Team Sora are barely standing up.
Sora: Man, you have grown alot stronger than before.
Mewtwo: You have seen nothing yet.
Mewtwo charges up for a Hyper Beam. He then fires a blue energy beam and hits Team Sora, creating a giant explosion that covers the entire arena. Ash's group and Kirby's group watches in shock.
Everyone: SORA! AURON! PLUCKY! DIZZY!
When the dust cloud clears, Team Sora is barely standing and panting heavily.
Sora: Man...he is...so powerful.
Auron: I'm afraid...that even...our Limits...won't be...enough to...defeat him.
Plucky: We may...need to...go into...Master Form...again.
Sora: Actually...I'll try the...Limit Form.
Sora activates his Limit Form again and charges at Mewtwo. Mewtwo uses Barrier again, but Sora uses Ars Arcanum to slash at the barrier multiple times. Suddenly, the barrier starts cracking. After a few more slashes, the barrier finally cracks, leaving Mewtwo vulnerable. Plucky uses multiple Fira, Blizzara, and Thundara on Mewtwo, doing alot of damage. Dizzy follows with Spin Attack, punches, and kicks, doing even more damage. Sora follows with Sonic Blade, Strike Raid, and Zantetsuken, doing alot more damage. Mewtwo was panting heavily.
Mewtwo: You are...so powerful...Keyblade Master.
Sora: You haven't seen nothing yet.
Sora uses Ragnarok to deliver a powerful slashing combo and finished by firing multiple red energy spheres. The attack knocks Mewtwo out and reverts him back to his normal form.
Referee: Mewtwo is unable to battle! Team Sora is the winner!
The audience cheers for Team Sora's victory. Sora walks up to Mewtwo and uses Cura on him. He then helps Mewtwo up.
Sora: That was a great battle.
Mewtwo: You are pretty great yourself, Keyblade Master. I'm glad we have a rematch.
Sora: You are still the strongest Pokemon I have faced so far.
Mewtwo: Maybe next time, you should try challenging Arceus.
Sora: I don't know who this Arceus is, but that sounds like a plan.
Sora and Mewtwo shook hands. Minutes later, Sora was rewarded the Mewtwo Cup. It looks like a white trophy with a shadow of Mewtwo on it and purple handles that looks like Mewtwo's tail. Back at the entrance, Sora was talking to Ash's group and Kirby's group.
Ash: You were incredible, Sora!
May: That battle shows that humans can be truly as powerful as Pokemon.
Sora: So, what will happen next?
Ash: Prof. Oak said that the next special tournament will start after the Sinnoh League.
Plucky: But isn't the Lily of the Valley Conference still damaged.
Dawn: Don't worry. The League hosts agreed to start it at the Distortion League.
Misty: In the next special tournament, we'll all be participating.
Sora: That's the tournament I'm looking forward to.
Ash: Until then, see you later, Sora.
Sora and Ash shook hands. Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy said good-bye to them. Before they could get on their Gummi Ship, Kirby's group walks up to them.
Tiff: Hey, Sora! Would you like to come visit our world?
Sora: Why do you ask?
Tuff: We have to return home for a while.
Sora: OK, Sure. I'll come visit your world.
Kirby: Yay! Sora coming! Sora coming!
Ribbon: I hope we'll see you there.
Sora: OK. See you guys soon.
Kirby's group returns to their ship and starts departing. Sora's group returns to the Gummi Ship.
Sora: Sweetie, Sneezer, can you take us to Dreamland?
Sweetie: Why do you ask?
Sora: Because Kirby and his friends invited us. Do you have Dreamland on the map?
Sweetie: Of course we have. It's on the northern end of the crossroad between Transylvania and Acme Castle.
Sora: Then let's take off!
Sneezer: Yes, sir! Preparing to take off to Dreamland!
The Gummi Ship left the Distortion World and warps to the crossroad that will lead to Dreamland.
