Chapter 9 The loop.
Jake and Tatiana went back to the house the next day to look around the house. Jake got scared when he saw Emma and ran away but ended up knocking himself out instead. Claire, Olive, Millard, Emma, Bronwyn, and the Twins watched as Tatiana cried and saw her tears solid. Her hand went red, so she melted them, and her hand went gold. When it was time to heal, she grabbed a little container from her pocket and poured the tears into it. Tatiana then walked over to Jake and healed his head wound. The children looked and saw that it had been healed.
The children smiled and led them into the cave when Jake woke up, they all walked into the cave until Jake got scared and ran away, leaving Tatiana behind. Bronwyn, Claire, and the Twins led Tatiana out of the cave while Emma, Millard, and Olive went after Jake.
Bronwyn, Claire, the Twins, and Tatiana made it to the house and went to the front door. Tatiana watched as the door opened and saw Alma Peregrine smiling at her with her pipe in her mouth. Tatiana smiled back, and the three younger children walked inside.
"Alma Peregrine delighted to meet you," Alma said, holding out her hand. Tatiana shook her hand.
"Tatiana Jones," Tatiana said while Alma led her inside. They walked into the parlor. Alma walked out of the room to get Tatiana a drink. Tatiana looked around the room, and when she saw Abe's picture, she broke down crying. Claire saw her crying and walked over to her. Claire hugged her. Alma walked back into the room and saw Claire hugging Tatiana while she cried.
Tatiana finished crying, and she pulled away from Claire. She notices Claire had a small cut on her finger, so the tears she held in her hand melted them and healed Claire's finger. Alma watched in amazement when she saw the cut get healed. She had seen it in Horace's dream but saw it now, and she was still amazed by it.
Jake made it to the house after being saved by Emma, Olive, and Millard. They walked to the door and was greeted by Miss Peregrine.
"Miss Peregrine delighted to meet you," Alma said, looking at Jake holding out her hand. Jake shook her hand and walked inside. Jake saw Tatiana sitting at the kitchen table, having a cup of tea. Alma made herself and Jake a cup of tea, and they all walked outside to meet the other children.
Alma started talking to Jake about being a ymbryne, and how it was her job to protect the children in her care, she put down their cups and linked arms with Tatiana, who was walking beside them. She introduced Jake and Tatiana to her children but saw all the children looking at Tatiana more than Jake. Alma and Tatiana walked back into the house to start dinner.
