The next chapter will have the last Gummi Ship mission, as well as five optional bosses from Final Mix merged into one battle.
Chapter 49: The Absent Silhouettes
The Gummi Ship was about to head to Disney Town, but they saw something in front of them.
Sweetie: Guys, I think we have company!
Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy went out the window and were shocked at what they saw. They saw a fleet of ships with an even bigger ship in the center.
Plucky: Holy cow! That's alot of ships!
Sweetie: I think they are a fleet of Nobody ships. They must have been sent by the Organization.
Sora: No problem. We can take them on.
Elder-Ham: That's the spirit, Sora.
Sneezer: Let's go!
The Gummi Ship charges towards the Nobody fleet. It passed through the Nobody cruisers and destroyed many Nobody fighters along the way. Suddenly, a giant red beam came out of the larger cruiser called the dreadnought. It is a giant ship shaped like a cube. The ship flew above the dreadnought, which fires multiple green beams from the top. They managed to avoid the beams and flew down to the side of the dreadnought, which has a giant door.
Sweetie: I'm going in.
Sora: Here goes nothing.
The Gummi Ship went inside the dreadnought.
Sweetie: Now, lock on to the power source. It should be the power generator.
Sneezer: Form up and stay alert. We could run outta space real fast.
The Gummi Ship was flying through the inside of the dreadnought, destroying Nobody fighters, going through narrow tunnels, blasting some doors open, and speeding up when a door is about to close. They went through a series of tunnels wide open and narrow until they reached the core of the ship.
Sweetie: There it is.
Sora: Alright, guys. Go for the core.
Sneezer: Copy that, captain!
Plucky: Why does this fleet battle remind me of Return of the Jedi?
The Gummi Ship fires at the core, until it starts exploding. The ship manages to outrun the explosion and escaped the dreadnought. Beams of light came out of the dreadnought and it creates a massive explosion. The ship made it's way through the Assault of the Dreadnought.
Sora: We did it!
Dizzy: Great shot, kid! That was one in a million!
The Gummi Ship finally arrives at Disney Town. It disembarks at the central station. Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy went off the ship and starts walking around.
Dizzy: Dizzy think we almost there.
Sora and Plucky turns to Dizzy.
Dizzy: Aren't we here because of picture? Dizzy show Sora and Plucky.
He pulls out the picture of Roxas with Mickey and the gang.
Plucky: Yeah! You're right, Dizzy!
Dizzy: Come on! Let go find mansion!
Sora: Yeah! Let's go check at the sandlot!
The trio made their way to the sandlot, where they saw five silhouettes. They look like silhouettes of a scythe, knives, axe, shield, and book. They walked up to the silhouettes.
Sora: What are those things?
Plucky: I don't know. But they could be traps.
Suddenly, the silhouettes shined and the trio got teleported to some large white circular platform. The silhouettes then transforms into five people in black coats with their hoods down. One person is a man with long pink hair, one is a woman with blonde hair, one is a huge man with brown hair, one is a man with long light gray hair, and the last one is a young man with dark gray hair covering his right eye. The last two men are Vexen and Zexion from the flashback.
Man 1: We meet again, Sora.
Sora: Who are you?
Woman: I see that you forgot about your adventures at Castle Oblivion.
Plucky: Castle what?
Man 1: I guess we have to introduce ourselves. My name is Marluxia.
Woman: I'm Larxene.
Man 2: I'm Lexaeus.
Vexen: I'm Vexen.
Zexion: And I'm Zexion.
Sora: Are you all members of Organization XIII?
Vexen: That is correct. Lord Xemnas gave us second chances.
Dizzy: Second chance?
Marluxia: That is correct. You may have defeated our bodies before at Castle Oblivion, but our memories remain intact.
Vexen: I was incinerated by Axel.
Lexaeus: I never met you before, Sora. But I was defeated by Riku.
Zexion: I was absorbed by the Riku Replica.
Larxene: Now, you have to fight all five of us.
Plucky: Great! Fighting one member of the Organization is hard enough. Now, we have to fight five of them together?
Marluxia: If you won't fight us, then I have no choice.
He teleports next to Sora and whispers something in his ear. Suddenly, a Nobody emblem appears behind Sora and a "1" appears above his head.
Marluxia: That is my curse. When it reaches "0," your life is done.
Sora: Guys, we have no choice but to fight all of them!
The five Organization members drew out their weapons. Marluxia is holding a pink scythe, Larxene is holding 8 cross-shaped knives, Lexaeus is holding a giant black axe with red edges, Vexen is holding a blue shield, and Zexion is holding a black book. Before they attack, Buster jumps in with his Keyblade.
Sora, Plucky, & Dizzy: Your Majesty!
Buster: You'll need my help if you're gonna beat these guys! Sora, use your Summon friends to help you!
Sora: Got it!
Sora uses all of his Summon Charms to summon all his friends.
Sora: Me, Sonic, and Megaman will take care of Marluxia.
Buster: Me, Plucky, and Dizzy will take care of Zexion.
Speedy: Me, Guido, and Polly will take care of Lexaeus.
Keroro: Me, Giroro, and Tamama will take care of Vexen.
Pururu: And me, Kururu, and Dororo will take care of Larxene.
Sora: Let's do it!
Sora, Sonic, and Megaman are battling Marluxia. Marluxia teleports behind Sora and slashed him with his scythe, doing some damage. Sora counters with his Keyblade, slashing Marluxia multiple times. Sonic uses Homing Attack and Megaman uses Super Mega Buster. Both of these attacks did alot of damage to Marluxia. Meanwhile, Buster, Plucky, and Dizzy are battling Zexion. Zexion traps Plucky in a book, but Buster and Dizzy manages to break him out. The three toons went after Zexion. Buster uses Sonic Blade, Plucky uses Firaga and Blizzaga, and Dizzy delivers punches and kicks. The toons did alot of damage to Zexion. Meanwhile, the Samurai Pizza Cats are battling Lexaeus. Lexaeus slams his axe on the ground, creating rock pillars, but the Samurai Pizza Cats dodged the attacks. Speedy throws fireballs, Guido throws his umbrella, and Polly throws energy boomerangs. All three of the attacks did alot of damage to Lexaeus. They then slash him with their sword, umbrella, and claws, doing even more damage.
Meanwhile, Keroro, Giroro, and Tamama are battling Vexen. Vexen throws a giant snowflake boomerang, but Tamama destroys it with his punch. Keroro boosted Giroro and Tamama's powers, Giroro fired multiple shots from his beam rifles, and Tamama delivers punches and kicks. The attacks did alot of damage to Vexen. Meanwhile, Pururu, Kururu, and Dororo are battling Larxene. Larxene creates five clones of herself. Dororo did the same thing and creates five clones of himself. The Larxene clones are battling the Dororo clones. The Dororo clones easily took out the Larxene clones and they all went after the real Larxene, but she fires lightning bolts at all of the Dororos, making the clones disappear. Pururu heals Dororo, Kururu absorbs Larxene's electric attacks, and Dororo throws explosive shurikens at Larxene. The shurikens blew up, doing alot of damage to Larxene. The Organization members are struggling.
Sora: Alright! We're beating those guys!
Buster: Give up, Organization members! You don't stand a chance against us!
Marluxia: Not yet. We've only just begun to fight.
Marluxia starts floating in the air, creating a petal storm. He fired rose beams from the ground, doing alot of damage to Sora, Sonic, and Megaman. Zexion traps Buster, Plucky, and Dizzy in his books. Lexaeus charges up his power in a red and yellow aura. He flew off the edge of the platform and flew back, creating giant rock pillars, and doing alot of damage to the Samurai Pizza Cats. Vexen creates a giant blizzard, freezing Keroro, Tamama, and Giroro. Larxene fired two thunder beams from her hands and spins around the battlefield, zapping Pururu, Kururu, and Dororo. The heroes took alot of damage.
Sora: Man, those guys are tough. We've underestimated them.
Sonic: We need to kick it up a notch. We can still beat them.
Megaman: Right! They may be strong, but we're alot stronger.
Sora goes into his Limit Form, Sonic uses a Chaos Emerald to boost his power, and Megaman combines with Rush to become Super Adapter Megaman. Sora uses Sonic Blade, Strike Raid, and Zantetsuken, Sonic uses his boosted Lightspeed Attack, and Megaman uses the Rocket Buster. All of the attacks did alot of damage to Marluxia. Meanwhile, Buster, Plucky, and Dizzy are still trapped in Zexion's books. Suddenly, three spotlights appeared. Two of them are red and one of them is blue. The blue one has a book in it. The three toons hits the book and returns to the battlefield. Buster uses Zantetsuken, Plucky uses Thundaga, and Dizzy uses Spin Attack. They all did alot of damage to Zexion.
The Samurai Pizza Cats charges up for their ultimate attacks. Speedy uses Cat's Eye Slash, Guido uses Ichimonji Fire, and Polly uses Heart Breaker. All three of these attacks did alot of damage to Lexaeus. Keroro boosted Giroro and Tamama's powers even more. Giroro fired two bazookas and Tamama uses Tamama Ball to throw a giant energy ball. Their attacks did alot of damage to Vexen. Pururu heals Kururu and Dororo. Kururu absorbs Larxene's electric beam attack and fires it back at her. Dororo uses his katana to slash Larxene multiple times. Larxene took alot of damage. The Organization members are panting heavily.
Sora: Now, we need to finish them off.
Buster: Sora, let's use our ultimate attacks.
Sora: Right!
The heroes threw the Organization members back to the middle of the platform. Sora and Buster both use Ragnarok to slash them multiple times and finish by firing multiple energy spheres at them. The energy spheres caused a massive explosion. The Organization members dropped their weapons and started to disappear.
Marluxia: Well done, Sora. You may have defeated us, but you won't defeat Lord Xemnas.
The Organization members finally fades from existence. The Summons all returned to their Summon Charms. The battlefield disappears and Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy reappears at the sandlot. Plucky and Dizzy looks around.
Dizzy: Hey, where Buster?
Plucky: He must have ran off after the battle.
Sora: Whatever. We need to find that mansion!
The trio continues to walk around Disney Town, fighting Nobodies along the way, until they found a giant hole that leads to the woods.
Plucky: Isn't that...?
Sora: That hole must be where the mansion is. Let's go!
The trio went inside the hole, which leads to the woods. They went through the woods, until they reach the front gate of the mansion. In front of the gate are three people laying on the ground. They are Mickey, Donald, and Minnie. Sora ran up to Mickey.
Sora: Hey, are you alright?
Mickey tried to get up.
Sora: What happened?
Mickey sat on the floor.
Mickey: We came here, looking for Kairi. Then those white things attacked us.
Plucky: You gotta be careful!
Sora: Yeah, you guys didn't have to go and do that.
Mickey: Of course we did. Kairi's our friend, too.
He stood up.
Sora: You're right...You know, I never thought of it like that before.
Mickey: Word is, this mansion gets alot of really strange visitors.
Minnie: We thought this place might be the gateway to some kinda alternate Disney Town.
Sora: What do you mean alternate Disney Town?
Donald: Hey, Dizzy. Do you think we could see that crystal of yours?
Dizzy nods and brought out the blue crystal and pouch.
Minnie: I made that pouch myself, and I still have it. So, there shouldn't be two of them here.
Mickey was holding the blue trophy with four crystals.
Mickey: And this is the trophy Seifer gave you. You left it behind, remember?
Donald: It's the only one of it's kind. Same for the crystals. Red, blue, yellow, green, only one of each color. But you've got your own.
Mickey: So...Where'd you get it?
Sora stood there to think for a moment.
Dizzy: Pouch is from Buster. When he gave us money for train ride, he gave us crystal, too.
Donald: But then...Where did Buster get it?
Mickey: See? There's gotta be another town out there like this one. That would explain how Buster got that pouch and the crystal. Everything makes sense.
Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy looks at each other, then back to Mickey and his friends.
Sora: It...does?
Donald: That other town must be where whatever's missing from here went.
Minnie: Like Kairi.
Sora: I get it!
Suddenly, a Nobody appears behind Sora. He turns around and saw more Nobodies appearing. A Dusk was about to attack, but Buster attacks it from behind with his Keyblade.
Buster: Watch out!
Sora, Buster, Plucky, and Dizzy starts fighting the Nobodies. Sora and Buster slashed at the Nobodies with their Keyblades, Plucky uses Firaga and Blizzaga, and Dizzy delivers punches and kicks. After a few minutes, all of the Nobodies were eradicated. Buster starts talking to Sora.
Buster: I got something to tell ya. I found out where Ansem is. Ansem the Wise. The real Ansem. He snuck into Organization XIII's stronghold.
Sora: And we've figured out where Kairi is. I'm pretty sure we're right.
Buster: But why'd you all come here?
Sora: Someone gave us a clue.
Buster: Who?
Dizzy: Well, Buster. Sora think it might be Riku.
Sora: It's just a feeling I had.
Buster: Well, if that's what you think, then it's probably right.
Sora: You mean Riku's OK!
Buster: If that's what you think.
Sora: I've waited long enough, Buster! Tell me what you know!
Buster: It's not for me to say.
Sora: But Buster! Why?
Buster: I don't wanna break my promise.
Sora: You made a promise to Riku?
Buster covers his mouth. Sora jumps for joy.
Sora: So he's alive! I can see him again!
Mickey: Huh? Who's Riku?
Sora: My best friend.
Donald: That's it!
Minnie: Buster, you got the pouch with the crystal from Riku, didn't you? And you promised not to tell, right?
Buster scratched the back of his head.
Buster: Gosh, guys...
Plucky: That's enough!
Sora: Yeah. Let's go!
Everyone turns to the mansion.
Sora: Kairi, Riku, we're on our way!
Everyone went inside the mansion.
Buster: There's gotta be a computer somewhere.
Donald: A computer...Do you think it's connected to that other Twilight Town?
Buster: It might be. And there should be a way into the Realm of Darkness there.
Sora: Riku told you that, didn't he?
Buster: Please, Sora. I made a promise.
Sora: Ah-ha! I knew it!
Plucky: Hey! Stop pestering King Buster!
Sora: Right. Sorry...
The gang went up the stairs to the library. They went down the stairs in the library and went to the computer room.
Buster: There it is!
He points to the computer.
Sora: We found it!
The gang ran up to the computer.
Plucky: How does it work?
Donald: I can handle it.
He went on the computer and starts typing on it.
Donald: OK...Here we go...Ahh!
Mickey: What's wrong?
Donald: I can't go any further without a password.
Buster: Do you have any idea what the password might be?
Dizzy: Well, we only got photo.
Plucky: And the salty-sweet ice cream bar.
Sora: Yeah, the one Plucky ate up.
Dizzy: It was in box next to photo.
Buster: Hey, that's it! Ansem the Wise loved ice cream!
Donald: OK, what's the name of the flavor?
Plucky: I think it's called sea salt ice cream.
Donald: OK, let's try it.
He types in the password.
Donald: It worked!
Suddenly, the teleporter next to the room activates.
Sora: Let's go!
Mickey: We'll be here to hold down the fort.
Minnie: Say hi to Kairi for us.
Sora: You bet!
Sora, Buster, Plucky, and Dizzy went into the teleporter. The teleporter fires a beam at the four and they disappeared into data. It took them to another room that looks just like computer room they were just in.
Sora: Are we back in the same place?
Plucky: Look!
He points to the broken computer. The four walks up to it.
Sora: This must be the other Disney Town. Roxas's Disney Town.
Buster: There's gotta be an entrance into the dark realm somewhere. Let's split up!
Buster gave Sora another Secret Ansem Report and the four went to the basement hall. There, they found a portal.
Sora: There it is.
The four walks up to the portal.
Buster: This is it.
The four walks into the portal, which takes them to some corridor. It appears to be the same kind of corridor that Kairi and Furrball went through.
Sora: What is this place?
Plucky: Well, which way should we go?
Sora: Riku! Kairi!
Suddenly, Nobodies appeared and surrounded the group.
Sora: Nobodies!
?: Don't stop moving, or the darkness will overtake you!
Suddenly, Axel appears and took out some Nobodies.
Axel: Get going!
Sora: Why?
Axel: Don't ask. Just do it!
A Dusk jumps on Axel, knocking him down. Sora ran up and took out the Nobody.
Sora: You OK?
Axel: I kidnapped Kairi, but she got away from me. After that, Saix caught her. He's a member of Organization XIII. Saix. Got it memorized? Now, go save her!
Another Dusk appears behind Sora, but he turns around and took it out.
Sora: Leave us alone!
Sora uses Magnega to trap some Nobodies in a sphere, Plucky uses Thundaga, Dizzy uses Spin Attack, and Axel uses his chakrams. The gang manages to take out some Nobodies, but more just keeps coming.
Axel: I think I liked it better when they were on my side.
Sora: Feeling a little...regret?
Axel: Nah...I can handle these punks. Watch this!
He jumps in the middle of the Nobodies. His chakrams spins around him in flames and he let's out a giant explosion, which covers the entire room. When the explosion dies down, all of the Nobodies were eradicated.
Sora: Whoa! He took out all of the Nobodies!
He then looks to see Axel fading away.
Sora: You're...fading away...
Axel: Well, that's what happens when you put your whole being into an attack. You know what I mean? Not that Nobodies actually have beings...right? Anyway, I digress. Go, find Kairi. Oh, almost forgot...Sorry for what I did to her.
Sora: When we find her, you can tell her that yourself.
Axel: Think I'll pass. My heart just wouldn't be in it, you know? Haven't got one.
He chuckles.
Sora: Axel, what were you trying to do?
Axel: I wanted to see Roxas. He...was the only one I liked...He made me feel...like I had a heart. It's kinda...funny...You make me feel...the same...Kairi's in the castle dungeon. Now, go.
He creates a portal.
Sora: Axel...
Axel fades from existence. All that's left was a Keychain called the Bond of Flame. Sora equips it and the Keyblade now looks like Axel's chakram with some spikes pointing out. The trio heads to the portal.
Sora: This leads to...
Plucky: Aww, come on! Let's get going!
Sora walks into the portals. Meanwhile, in the same white room with thirteen chairs, the remaining Organization members are sitting on their chairs.
Xigbar: The house is looking pretty empty, huh? I though I'd get a little enjoyment watching Axel throwing one last tantrum. But he went alot quieter than I thought.
Luxord: Perhaps he was ready for it. Perhaps he put his existence on the line, and won what he'd been longing for.
Xigbar: Wait a minute! How would that even be possible? We don't exist, remember? What you're saying goes against the laws of nature.
Luxord: Then, perhaps he bet his NON-existence. Either way, he came out a winner. Oh, Axel. A grifter till the end.
Saix: That's absurd. He won nothing, and is nothing. He couldn't stand the emptiness of being without a heart. And that lead to his demise. He was foolish and weak.
Xemnas: But weakness has the power to awaken that which is dormant. It is clear that through his actions, however foolish they may have been, Axel has touched Sora's heart. Perhaps he will soon awaken.
That's it for chapter 49. The battle with the five Organization members are the Absent Silhouettes from Final Mix. They are based on the Organization members from Chain of Memories. Next time, Sora and the gang will finally enter the Organization's world.
