Chapter 51: The World of Nobodies Part 2
The gang enters a small room with 12 symbols on the floor and a door at the end of the room. Two of the symbols are blue and have what appears to be Keyhole-shaped gates. The door is protected by a barrier.
Plucky: What is this place?
Furrball: This place is really weird.
Dizzy:(Whimpers)Dizzy don't like look of this place. It feel like graveyard.
He hugs Kairi.
Riku: Two of the symbols are blue and appears to have gates.
Sora: Let's take a look at one of them.
The gang enters a gate with a symbol of a card in front of it. The gate took them to the outside of the castle, where they saw Kingdom Hearts and a beam being fired at it.
Sora: What's that?
Riku: It's Buster and Diz, I mean, Ansem the Wise. They must be higher up. We better hurry.
The gang were about to head back. Sora ran forward, when suddenly, Luxord appears from the dark portal. He snaps his finger and traps everyone but Sora behind the giant spinning cards. He snaps his fingers again and when the cards stopped spinning and separated, everyone disappeared.
Sora: You again! Give me back my friends!
Luxord: If you want them back, you'll have to play my game first. This will be a time-based battle. I will set up the time limit for us and the time limit will begin to drop. The first one to run out of time is the loser.
The battle starts with Luxord turning Sora into a dice. Luxord threw his cards at the dice, but it dodged most of the attacks. After a minute of moving around as a dice, Sora returns to normal and starts battling Luxord. Luxord uses big cards as his shield, but Sora was able to slash through them. Luxord turns himself into a card and mixed himself with other cards. Sora searched through each card, until he found Luxord.
Sora: This game is too easy.
Luxord: I'm only getting started.
Luxord starts scattering his cards across the floor. He starts throwing his cards like boomerangs and used some of them like swords. Some of the cards hits Sora, doing plenty of damage.
Sora: OK, I've underestimated you a little. But I'm just getting started, too.
Sora went into his Limit Form. He uses Sonic Blade, Strike Raid, and Zantetsuken, doing alot of damage to Luxord. Suddenly, a bunch of giant cards surrounded the both of them.
Luxord: Now, you'll need four O to win.
Sora manages to get four O and threw a bunch of cards at Luxord, doing alot of damage to him. Sora charges at him for the final blow. Luxord surrounds himself with a bunch of cards, but Sora slashed through them, making Luxord bend on his knee.
Luxord: How could you...Roxas...
Sora: IT'S SORA!
Luxord fades from existence. The cards flew across the floor, releasing everyone.
Kairi: You OK?
Sora: Yeah, no worries. Let's keep moving.
Sora picks up the Secret Ansem Report and the gang returns to the room with 12 symbols. Only one symbol is blue.
Riku: That's where we must go.
The gang enters the gate with a claymore in front of it. They entered a room with a large window and Saix, who is looking up the window at Kingdom Hearts. He then turns around to the group and smirks.
Saix: Only you could have made it this far in one piece...Roxas.
Sora: That's really getting old!
Plucky and Dizzy got in front of Sora, protecting him.
Plucky: Yeah! He's Sora!
Saix pulls up a blue claymore with a cross on top.
Saix: Different name, same fate.
He swings his claymore so hard, it creates a giant gust of wind. Riku protects Kairi and Furrball, as the three of them got blown away. A barrier blocks them from entering the battle. Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy got in their fighting stances.
Saix: Do you feel it? The moon's power?
Saix charges at the trio and clashed with Sora's Keyblade, Plucky uses Thundaga to zap Saix, and Dizzy uses Spin Attack, doing some damage to Saix. Saix goes into his berserk state, slashing at the trio like crazy, and slamming his claymore onto the ground multiple times, creating a bunch of blue fires. The trio took alot of damage from his attacks and pants heavily.
Sora: Man...he is...very...powerful.
Plucky: We may...need to...try out...Final Form.
Sora: Good...idea...Let's do it!
Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy merged to become Final Form. Sora is carrying the Oathkeeper and Oblivion Keyblades. He fires a bunch of white arrows at Saix, doing alot of damage to him. He then cast multiple Firaga, Blizzaga, and Thundaga spells, doing even more damage. He follows up with Spin Attack, doing alot more damage. He then picks up Saix's claymore and slashed him multiple times, doing alot more damage. Sora finished him off with a final giant slash. Saix weakly walks over to the window.
Saix: Why...Kingdom Hearts...Where is my heart?
He fades from existence. Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy returns to normal. Riku, Kairi, and Furrball walks up to the trio.
Sora: I don't get it. Why's everybody been calling me Roxas?
Riku: Because, Sora. Roxas is your Nobody.
Sora: My...Nobody? But that's impossible! I never turned into a Heart...Oh, right.
Kairi: It was when you came to rescue me, remember?
Riku: Xemnas was the one who found Roxas. He could use the Keyblade, because he was your Nobody. That's why Xemnas brought him into the Organization. But he betrayed them. After that, I fought him, because I thought it would help you wake up. I lost. But the next time we met, I made sure I was the stronger one.
In a flashback in the city, Riku in his normal form wearing a black blindfold walks over to an unconscious Roxas. he stabs the Oblivion on the floor next to Roxas. Suddenly, Roxas got up, grabs the Keyblade, and slashed at Riku, who jumps back. Riku shoots a dark fireball at Roxas, but he deflects it with his Keyblade and slashed at Riku, who dodged again.
Roxas: Why don't you quit?
Riku: Come on, Sora. I thought you were stronger than that.
Roxas: Get real. Look which one of us is winning.
Riku: So, it's true. You really are his Nobody. Guess Diz was right after all.
Roxas: What are you talking about? I am me! Nobody else!
He summons his Oathkeeper and charges at Riku. He jumps at Riku, who dodged the attack. He then slashed at Riku, who blocks the attack, but got knocked back. Riku fell on his knee.
Roxas: How many times do I have to beat you?
Riku: Alright. You've left me with no other choice.
Roxas: What?
Riku stood back up.
Riku: I have to release the power in my heart. The dark power that I've been holding back.
He took his blindfold off.
Riku: Even...if it changes me forever.
He surrounds himself in dark waves and transforms himself to Ansem. A Guardian is behind him. He teleports in front of Roxas and the Guardian grabs him. The Guardian crushed Roxas, until he drops his Keyblades, making them disappear.
Ansem: I have accepted it.
He drops Roxas on the ground. Suddenly, Diz appears from the dark portal. Ansem puts his hood on.
Ansem: Diz...He could feel Sora.
Diz: He told you how he "felt," did he? Ridiculous. A Nobody cannot feel anything.
Ansem: If he had met Sora, things might have been different.
Back to present.
Riku: Maybe I didn't need to fight him after all. I think he left the Organization, because...he really wanted to meet you.
Sora: Roxas...I wish I could meet him, too.
Riku walks up to Sora and points at his chest. Sora points at himself in confusion. Riku nods. Sora puts his hand over his chest.
Riku: Alright. Let's go.
Sora picks up another Secret Ansem Report and the gang left the room. They returned to the room with 12 symbols. The barrier at the door has disappeared.
Riku: The barrier is gone. Now, we can reach the higher levels of the castle.
The gang proceeds upstairs. Meanwhile, Ansem the Wise is using his machine to fire the beam at Kingdom Hearts.
Buster: Ansem?
Ansem the Wise:(Laughs)I'm a fool. I've spent years studying the workings of the heart. Yet it seems I still haven't learned a thing.
Buster: What do you mean?
Ansem the Wise: The process of encoding hearts is incalculable. The inhabitants of my Disney Town were data created from real hearts. I was convinced that they would think and behave the way I had envisioned. But I couldn't have been more wrong. A heart is so much more than any system. I saw it when Roxas and Kairi crossed paths. I knew. But was too stubborn to accept it. It's always the same. I try to wrap my mind around things my heart already knows, only to fail. While I was trying to bring Sora back, I had so many plans in store. But once Sora was an acting force, they fell apart. All my research amounted to nothing, compared with that one boy's heart.
The machine starts to react.
Buster: Ansem, the machine!
Ansem the Wise: All the more proof that hearts cannot be contained by data. Run, my friend! It's going to self-destruct! And anything could happen!
Buster: But...
Suddenly, Sora and the gang ran up.
Sora: Your Majesty!
Ansem the Wise turns to the gang.
Ansem the Wise: Sora, the rest is up to you...And Roxas, I doubt you can hear me, but...I am sorry.
The machine reacts even more.
Buster: ANSEM!
Ansem the Wise: My heart is telling me what I must do. Please allow me to do what it says.
Buster: NO!
Riku puts his hands over Buster's shoulder.
Buster: Riku!
Riku: His heart's decided. We can't change that.
Suddenly, a dark portal appears and Xemnas came out.
Xemnas: I was wondering who would dare interfere with my Kingdom Hearts. And look...Here you all are. How convenient for me. Ansem the Wise...You look pathetic.
Ansem the Wise: Have your laugh. I deserve as much for failing to see you for the fool you are.
Xemnas: Students do take after their teachers. Only a fool would be your apprentice. After all, none of this would have happened without you. You are the source of all Heartless. It was your research that inspired me to go further than you ever dared.
Ansem the Wise: I admit...my disregard brought chaos to more worlds than one. But what were you seeking? You erased me from the world, only to take my name, and continue research better left forgotten...Is this the answer you've been looking for?
Xemnas: All that and more. I'm carrying on what you yourself began, and I'm creating a brand new world, one heart at a time. I thought you'd praise me, but all you ever do is hold me back. I understand, though. Unlike me, you have a heart. And you're powerless to control it. Consumed by the jealousy you feel toward the student who surpassed you.
Ansem the Wise: Xehanort. Foolish apprentice of a foolish man. You have surpassed nothing. Only proved how little we both know. We may profess to know the heart, but it's essence is beyond our reach. We're both ignorant, as oblivious as when we began. I'm afraid that any world you try to create...Any world of yours...would be an empire of ignorance. That is why you and your creation are destined to fall!
The machine reacts even more.
Ansem the Wise: We've said enough!
He turns to Riku.
Ansem the Wise: Riku, you know what to do!
He turns to Buster.
Ansem the Wise: King Buster, my friend, forgive me! Farewell!
The machine starts lighting up. Riku turns around to stop Sora from running towards Ansem the Wise, while Kairi kneels down to Buster. The machine explodes, creating a giant explosion of light. The explosion hits everyone. Suddenly, a bunch of hearts fell from the sky and a bunch of Nobodies tried to catch them. The hearts landed on the ground, creating Shadows. The Heartless were climbing up to the castle. After the explosion dies down, Everyone got up. Sora saw Riku back in his normal state with long silver hair.
Sora: Riku!
He ran up to Riku. Riku suddenly got up on his knees.
Sora: Riku!
Riku looks at everyone.
Kairi: Riku!
Buster: Ansem did say "anything could happen."
Riku stood up.
Sora: Riku, you gonna take that off?
Riku: Oh...
He took his blindfold off to reveal his blue eyes.
Sora: What was that?
Buster: His eyes couldn't lie.
Sora: Lie? And just who were you trying to fool? Huh? HUH?
Riku: Myself.
Sora: Riku...Come on, man! Why did you try to do so much on your own?
He ran back to the gang.
Sora: You got friends...like us!
Riku looks at everyone, who nods.
Riku: Have you forgotten? I'll tell you why. Cause I'm not a total sap like you.
Sora: Say that again!
Suddenly, everyone saw the hearts coming out of Kingdom Hearts.
Plucky: Uh-oh!
Everyone looks down the castle to see a bunch of Heartless climbing up the castle.
Sora: What should we do, Riku?
Riku: We must defeat Xemnas. He's the Organization's last survivor.
Sora: Right! Let's go, everyone!
Riku took off his cloak to reveal he's wearing a yellow sleeveless jacket with a black zipper shirt under it, blue pants, and a white fingerless glove on his left hand.
Riku: Come on!
Riku gave Sora another Secret Ansem Report and the gang proceeds upstairs. They entered a giant room with invisible bridges and platforms, fighting many Nobodies along the way. The bridges become visible whenever they walked on them. When they reached the final platform, Kairi freaks out.
Kairi: Sora! Riku!
Everyone turns to see Kairi pointing at the windows, where the Heartless are coming out of. They are heading after the group.
Riku: There's gonna be no end to this.
Sora: Together we can stop em!
Suddenly, Ganondorf, Monty, and Team Rocket teleports in front of the gang.
Ganondorf: Be gone from here! Leave these creatures to us!
Monty: But there's no way we can take em all!
Ganondorf: I will be sending them after Xemnas. Or, perhaps, you would rather fight them yourself?
Monty and Team Rocket thought for a moment. Then Meowth spoke up.
Meowth: Frankly, Lord Ganondorf, we'd rather run!
Ganondorf: Off with all of you then!
Monty and Team Rocket steps back. Then they saw Buster.
Monty: Well, if it isn't the Bunny King.
Buster: Time to weigh anchor, Montana Max!
Monty: What, like "abandon ship?" I don't think so!
Ganondorf: Sora, Buster, do not forget, when I've destroyed them all, this castle shall be mine!
Meowth: Now, lookie here. Opportunities like dis don't come along everyday, you know.
Monty and Team Rocket ran forward and prepares their motto again.
Jessie: Prepare for trouble, we're helping the twerps...
James: And make it double, we'll stop you Heartless derps...
Monty: To protect the world from devastation...
James: To unite all people within our nation...
Jessie: To denounce the evils of truth and love...
Monty: To extend our reach to the stars above...
Jessie: Jessie...
James: James...
Monty: Montana Max, now that's a name...
Jessie: Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light...
James: Surrender now, or prepare to fight...
Monty: And we'll make sure this will be your last night!
Meowth: Meowth, dat's right!
Wobbuffet: Wobbuffet!
Mime Jr.: Mime! Mime!
Jessie and James pulls out five Pokeballs each.
Jessie: Everyone, COME ON OUT!
She released Arbok, Lickitung, Seviper, Dustox, and Yanmega.
James: Everyone, YOU TOO!
He released Weezing, Victreebel, Cacnea, Chimecho, and Carnivine.
Meowth: Bring em on!
Ganondorf, Monty, Team Rocket, and their Pokemon charges after the Heartless army.
Buster: We gotta hurry!
Sora: But...
Buster: They're doing what their hearts command. We can't interfere.
The gang walks back upstairs, while Ganondorf and his gang took care of the Heartless. The gang made it to the top of the castle, where Xemnas was looking at the destroyed Kingdom Hearts.
Xemnas: Oh...my Kingdom Hearts...ruined. Now, I'll have to start all over again. Warriors of the Keyblade!
He turns around to the gang.
Xemnas: Go forth, and bring me more hearts!
Sora, Riku, & Buster: NO!
Sora, Riku, and Buster points their Keyblades at Xemnas.
Xemnas: Denizens of light, answer this: Why do you hate the darkness?
Buster: We don't hate it. It's just kinda...scary. But the world's made of light and darkness. You can't have one without the other, cause darkness is half of everything. Sorta makes you wonder why we are scared of the dark.
Riku: It's because of who's lurking inside it.
Xemnas: Then allow me another question. You accept darkness, yet choose to live in the light. So, why is it that you loathe us who teeter on the edge of nothing? We who were turned away by both light and dark? Never given a choice?
Riku: That's simple. It's because you mess up our worlds.
Xemnas: That may be...However, what other choice might we have had?
Sora: Just give it a rest! You're Nobodies! You don't even exist! You're not sad about anything!
Xemnas:(Chuckles)Very good. You don't miss a thing. I can not feel...sorrow...No matter what misery befalls the worlds. No matter what you think, what you feel, or how you exist.
He raised both of his arms up and multiple streams of light flew up. Sora covers his eyes, as the whole place lit up. When the light dies down, Sora opens his eyes. He looks around and saw that he was on a platform with a skyscraper. He was alone with Xemnas.
Sora: Guys? Where are you?
Xemnas summons two red beam swords and clashed with Sora. Sora blocks Xemnas's beam swords and starts slashing at him, but he blocks his Keyblade with his barrier. He then teleports behind Sora and starts slashing him like crazy, doing alot of damage. He then fires red energy spheres at Sora, doing even more damage. Sora was still standing.
Sora: Man, you're really tough.
Xemnas: You should give up if you value your life.
Sora: Not yet! I was only getting started.
Sora goes into his Limit Form and starts attacking Xemnas. He uses Sonic Blade, Strike Raid, and Zantetsuken, doing alot of damage to Xemnas. Xemnas teleports to the skyscraper and jumps up to the top of it. Sora jumps up to the lamp post, jumps onto the building, and running up the wall. Xemnas jumps down the building with his two beam swords activated. They both clashed their weapons, but Sora jumps over Xemnas and slashed him from behind, sending him falling down the building. He follows Xemnas and clashed with his weapons again. He knocks Xemnas to the wall. They both returned to the floor with Xemnas panting.
Sora: Now to finish this!
He uses Ragnarok to slash Xemnas multiple times and fires a bunch of red energy spheres. Xemnas fell to the ground and fades away. Sora suddenly hears a voice.
?: Sora! Where are you?
Suddenly, a bright light covers the entire battlefield. Back on top of the castle, everyone was looking for Sora.
Riku: Sora, answer me!
Sora teleports back to the castle on the ground. He was back in his normal form. Everyone ran to him. He got up.
Buster: You're OK!
Sora: Where's Xemnas?
Plucky looks around and saw Xemnas in front of Kingdom Hearts.
Xemnas: Hear me, Kingdom Hearts! It seems we must begin anew. Ahh, but know this: I will give to you as many hearts as it takes. Mark my words. You can be no more complete without me than I without you. Heed me, Kingdom Hearts. Lend me your power, so that we may be complete. The power to erase the fools that hinder us.
Buster: Xemnas! NO!
Xemnas: Hearts quivering with hatred...
Sora: Xemnas! DON'T!
Xemnas: Hearts burning with rage...
Furrball: You'll never win!
Xemnas: Hearts scarred by envy...That fool Ansem said the heart's true nature was beyond his understanding. But it's not beyond mine! Hearts are the source of all power!
Suddenly, a bright light engulfs the sky. Everyone covers their eyes. When the light dies down, Xemnas disappears.
Sora: Xemnas, you can't hide from us!
Buster: We're not gonna let him get away now!
Kairi: Look at that!
She points to a door that suddenly appears in front of Kingdom Hearts.
Dizzy: What going on?
Buster: Kingdom Hearts...
Riku: Let's go. Xemnas must be inside.
Buster: The worlds gave us this doorway. They want us to be the guardians of their destiny.
Sora nods.
Riku: Once we go through, there's no turning back. It's victory...or oblivion. So, Sora...are you ready?
Before the gang could step forward, the Gummi Ship appears. Sweetie and Sneezer came out.
Sweetie: Hey, guys!
Sora: Sweetie? Sneezer? What are you two doing here?
Sneezer: We came to tell you about the new tournament being held in the Distortion World.
Plucky: But we have to save the worlds from Xemnas!
Dizzy: And Dizzy thought they have Pokemon League.
Sweetie: The Pokemon League is finished. Now, they will have a regular tournament.
Sneezer: Everyone from all the other worlds will be participating.
Buster: Then let's go! We have some time to spare.
Sweetie: The tournament won't start until tomorrow.
Sora: That's fine. Riku and the others can come with us.
Riku: Wait! I'm coming with you guys?
Kairi: That's fine with me. Besides, I've always wanted to visit other worlds.
Sneezer: Then hop on board, everyone!
Everyone went on board the Gummi Ship. The Gummi Ship starts departing for the Distortion World. Sora told Kairi and Riku about his adventures to other worlds along the way.
That's it for chapter 51. Next time, Sora and the gang will return to the Distortion World for a new tournament.
