Chapter 56: The Final Battle
The Gummi Ship returns to the top of the Castle That Never Was. Everyone departs and heads towards the door. Sora, Riku, and Buster summons their Keyblades. Suddenly, Sora's Keyblade starts glowing and changes shape. It was embraced by blue diamond-shaped holes and blue lines going up diagonally to the top of the Keyblade, which has a silver crown for the teeth. It's called the Ultima Weapon.
Sora: Whoa! This is really cool!
Buster: Now, let's open the path.
Sora, Riku, and Buster, drew their Keyblades together and the blades started glowing. The three Keyblade Masters raised their Keyblades up in the sky and fired beams in the air. The door finally opens.
Sora: Get ready, Xemnas! It all ends here!
The gang went through the door and arrives in some kind of city. At the end of the city is a white castle that looks like a dragon.
Sora: Is it me, or does that white castle look like the Blue Eyes White Dragon from Yugioh?
Riku: Look over there!
Everyone looks at where Riku is pointing at. On top of the castle is Xemnas.
Xemnas: So...it seems your hearts have led you to obliteration. Perhaps it doesn't pay to be too loyal to one's heart. I will have to be sure and remember that.
He levitates a building towards the heroes. The gang starts running back to the door. Kairi, Buster, and Furrball made it to the door, but the door closed on Sora, Riku, Plucky, and Dizzy.
Riku: NO!
The gang turns to Xemnas.
Sora: We can take him on our own!
The gang took out their weapons and starts charging towards the castle. Sora released all of his Summons to join the fight. Sora slashed through many buildings that got in their way, destroying them. When they reached the end, the building they were on rises. The castle sent more buildings after the gang, but Sora jumps on some of them and slashed some of them, as he jumps for the castle. When they got to the castle, they arrived at the right cylinder. Nobodies appeared and started attack the gang, but Sora uses Magnega to send them to the core of the right cylinder. After doing so much damage to the right cylinder, Sora and the gang escapes from it, before it explodes and reached the left cylinder. More Nobodies attacked, but Sora uses Magnega to send them to the core of the left cylinder. After doing so much damage to the left cylinder, Sora and the gang escapes from it, before it explodes and reached the castle. The gang made their way to the energy core of the castle. Nobodies attacked the gang, but they managed to finish them off quickly and starts focusing on the energy core. After doing so much damage to the energy core, the gang got teleported to the top of the castle, where they found Xemnas wearing some kind of armor that looks similar to the Lingering Will, except that it is silver, wears a crown, and carries a giant red sword.
Sora: We finally found you, Xemnas! Now, let's end this!
Xemnas: Cursed fools!
Xemnas sends lances, chakrams, and claymores after the gang, but they dodged the attacks. Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy merged to become Final Form. Sora is carrying the Ultima Weapon and Oblivion Keyblades. Everyone starts attacking Xemnas. The Samurai Pizza Cats uses Cat's Eye Slash, Ichimonji Fire, and Heart Breaker, Sonic uses Lightspeed Attack, Megaman merges with Rush and uses Double Rocket Busters, Keroro boosts everyone's attacks, Pururu heals everyone's wounds, Giroro fires his bazookas, Tamama uses Tamama Impact, Kururu uses electricity, Dororo uses his katana, and Riku uses Ars Arcanum. All of the attacks did alot of damage to Xemnas. Sora finished Xemnas off with Spin Attack, dealing even more damage. Eventually, everyone teleports back to the top of the Castle That Never Was. Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy returns to normal. Xemnas was on his knee, panting heavily.
Xemnas: I need...more rage...I need...more hearts...
Sora: Xemnas, there's more to a heart than just anger or hate. It's full of all kinds of feelings. Don't you remember?
Xemnas: Unfortunately...I don't.
He starts fading away. Everyone starts celebrating.
Buster: You all did great!
Speedy: Now that we defeated the bad guys, our journey is over.
Sonic: Soon, we will have to return to our worlds.
Megaman: It was nice joining you on your adventure, Sora.
Keroro: Hope we will meet each other again.
All of the Summons disappeared, returning to their worlds. The Summon Charms all disappeared, too. Riku suddenly walks away from the group. Sora saw him walking away and went after him.
Sora: You're coming back with us, right?
Riku: I have given into the darkness.
Sora: Riku!
Riku: How am I gonna face everyone?
Sora: Like this!
He makes a silly face, which made Riku laugh. Suddenly, the castle starts shaking.
Buster: The castle is gonna collapse soon! We better hurry!
Riku: I'll open a path.
He stretched his hand forward, but nothing happens.
Buster: You don't belong in the Dark Realm anymore, Riku.
Plucky: How do we get outta here, Your Majesty?
As the gang were wondering how to escape, Sora and Kairi turns to see Namine. She opens a dark portal and disappears. Buster and Plucky ran up to the portal.
Plucky: Where did that portal come from?
Buster: I don't know. But we better hurry and get through.
Furrball: Alright! Now, we can go home!
He went through the portal.
Dizzy: Wait for Dizzy!
He went through the portal.
Elder-Ham: I'm coming, too!
He went through the portal. Buster follows him. Plucky turns to Sora, Riku, and Kairi.
Plucky: Come on! Let's get outta here!
He went through the portal. Namine suddenly reappears in front of the portal. Sora and Kairi walks up to her.
Kairi: Thank you, Namine.
Namine: Sure.
She looks at Sora.
Namine: See? We meet again, like we promised.
Sora: Huh?
?: You said we meet again, but when we did...
Roxas suddenly came out of Sora.
Roxas: We might not recognize each other.
Namine: I did, didn't I?
Roxas: But I knew you.
Namine: Hmm...it's strange.
Roxas: I think I understand. I see myself the way you remember me. And you see yourself the way I remember you.
Namine: I always thought Nobodies were doomed to fade back into darkness...
Roxas: Yeah, but you and I didn't. We got to meet our original selves.
Namine: So, we can be together again!
Roxas walks next to Namine.
Roxas: Right. Anytime Sora and Kairi are together...
Kairi: We'll be together everyday. Right, Sora?
Sora: Uhh...yeah!
Kairi walks over to Namine and offers her hand. Namine grabs it and fades into light, merging with Kairi. Roxas walks over to Sora.
Roxas: Look sharp!
He fades into light and merges with Sora. Sora looks at himself in confusion. Riku walks over to him.
Riku: Don't worry. You're all still you.
Kairi: Hey, let's go home!
She walks over to the portal.
Sora: Riku...Come on.
Riku: Yeah.
Sora and Riku follows her. Suddenly, the portal starts disappearing.
Kairi: Sora! Riku!
The portal disappears, leaving Sora and Riku behind.
Sora: What?
Riku: Sora, LOOK!
Sora and Riku turns to see the same white dragon castle heading towards them. The dragon hits the castle, making it tilt, and making Sora and Riku slowly fall over. Riku saw some kind of glider and ran towards it.
Sora: Riku, what are you doing?
Riku jumps on the glider and starts piloting it.
Riku: Sora, get on!
Sora jumps on the glider and it starts taking off. Nobody ships started attack the glider, but Sora manages to knock them back to the dragon's tail. After doing so much damage to the tail, it got destroyed. Next, the glider starts focusing on the engines. First, the glider starts firing a giant beam on the right engine, destroying it. Next, Sora knocks some Nobody ships on the left engine, destroying it as well. The dragon starts firing lasers at the glider, but it dodged every single one of them. The glider then fires two beams at the dragon's wings, destroying them. The dragon falls to the ground. When it fell on the ground, the dragon stood back up and unleashed dark clouds around the arena. The glider took Sora and Riku to the bridge of the dragon, where Armored Xemnas is waiting. Sora and Riku jumps down to the bridge. Suddenly, the glider got sucked up by a black hole. Sora and Riku summons their Keyblades.
Sora: Hey, Riku?
Riku: Yeah?
Sora: I wanted to thank Namine, but...I couldn't bring myself to say it, not until everything was back to the way it was before.
Riku: Don't worry, we'll make that happen. Once this is over, you can thank her all you want.
Sora: Yeah! First, we need to defeat Xemnas!
Sora and Riku charges at Xemnas. They attacked him, but he creates a barrier to protect himself. He then swings his giant sword at Sora and Riku, sending them flying near the black hole, but the two Keyblade Masters flew away from it. Some buildings came flying towards the boys, but they dodged them. Sora strikes the building towards the dragon, doing some damage to it. Riku then slashed the building to pieces, sending it back to the dragon, doing even more damage. The boys flew back to the bridge to battle Xemnas. Xemnas fires some lasers at the boys, but they dodged them. Sora and Riku then focused on attacking Xemnas. Riku uses Sonic Blade, Strike Raid, and Zantetsuken on Xemnas, doing alot of damage to him. Sora uses Firaga, Blizzaga, and Thundaga, doing even more damage. Sora and Riku delivers one final slash at Xemnas, creating a giant flash. When the light dies down, Sora, Riku, and Xemnas are in some kind of void of nothingness. Xemnas' cloak is now black and white.
Xemnas: Heroes from the Realm of Light...I will not allow it to end this way...not yet. If light and darkness are eternal, then surely we nothings must be the same...Eternal!
Riku: You're right. Light and darkness are eternal. Nothing probably goes on forever, too. But guess what, Xemnas?
Sora: That doesn't mean you're eternal!
Xemnas:(Chuckles)No more eternal than that radiance of yours.
Sora and Riku got in their fighting stances.
Xemnas: Anger and hate are supreme.
He teleports in front of Sora and grabs him.
Xemnas: We shall go together now.
He threw Sora up in the air, teleports in front of him, and attacks him with his two beam swords. Riku came in to save Sora and unleashed their Limit called Last Saber. First, Sora and Riku use Dark Cannon to fire dark energy spheres at Xemnas. Then they use Master Hearts to combine their Keyblades to create a giant slash at Xemnas, doing alot of damage to him. Finally, they end their attack with All Ends, making their two Keyblades fire beams of light and darkness at each other, creating a giant explosion, doing alot of damage to Xemnas. Xemnas starts firing black and white lightning bolts at the duo, doing some damage to them. He then creates a bunch of red energy spheres to surround the duo. The spheres charged at the duo, doing some more damage to them. The duo are barely standing.
Riku: Man, he is much stronger than I thought.
Sora: I need to access my Limit Form.
Sora activates his Limit Form. He uses Sonic Blade, Strike Raid, and Zantetsuken at Xemnas, doing alot of damage to him. He then uses Ragnarok to slash at him multiple times and fire a bunch of energy spheres at him, doing even more damage. Suddenly, Xemnas teleports in front of Sora and zaps him with electricity. Riku tried to attack Xemnas, but he got knocked back. Xemnas creates a clone of himself to go after Riku. Riku fires multiple Dark Auras at the clone, sending him back. Riku quickly ran back to the real Xemnas and stops his attack. Sora falls back down to the ground. Riku hits Xemnas several times and threw him up in the air. Riku uses Curaga to heal Sora's wounds.
Riku: Are you OK, Sora?
Sora: I'm fine, Riku.
Riku: We need to finish Xemnas off.
Sora: Right!
Xemnas brings both his hands together and surrounds the entire void with darkness. He then surrounds Sora and Riku with thousands of energy spheres. He sends the energy spheres at the duo, but they blocked all of them with their Keyblades. They keep blocking all of the spheres, until a bright flash covers the entire void. After blocking all of the spheres, the duo are down at their knees. Xemnas knocks Riku back and place his beam sword on the side of Sora's head. He was about to strike him, but Riku blocks his attack. Riku pushed Sora back, as Xemnas strikes him with another beam sword. Riku gave Sora his Keyblade and Sora strikes Xemnas with two Keyblades. He sent Xemnas flying in the air and lands next to Riku. Riku held onto Sora's hand and Sora's Keyblade fires a beam at Xemnas, stunning him.
Sora: Now, let's finish this, Riku.
Riku: Right!
Sora and Riku charges at Xemnas with their Keyblades. They delivered one final strike at Xemnas, damaging him.
Xemnas: Cursed...Keyblade...
He finally fades from existence.
Sora: We did it!
Suddenly, a bunch of Dusks surrounded the duo.
Riku: I wouldn't be to sure of that.
Sora and Riku got in their fighting stances, as the Nobodies were about to attack them. Suddenly, a bright flash of light made the Nobodies disappear. Riku fell on his knee.
Riku: Sora...I can't...
Sora: Don't say another word! It's not over. It's just not.
He puts Riku's arm around his back and starts carrying him.
Riku: How can you say that? Even if we could go on...look where we are.
Sora: Aww, come on, Riku! You've been hanging out in darkness too long. You gotta try and think positive.
Riku: Sora...You lead.
Sora: Got it!
He starts walking through the void.
Riku: You know...I always figured I was better at stuff than you.
Sora: Really?
Riku: Are you mad?
Sora: No. I kinda always thought you were better at everything, too.
Suddenly, Sora stops.
Sora: Riku, look. What's that light?
The duo saw a bright light in front of them. They walked into it, only to find themselves on a dark beach. The beach has a bright moon at the end and giant branches bent on each side of the beach.
Riku: End of the road.
Sora: Yep.
Riku: Put me down. I can walk.
Sora lets go of Riku, who slowly stood up. Sora walks over to the water and stops.
Sora: You know...Maybe the darkness has gotten to me, too.
He turns around to see Riku has collapsed.
Sora: Riku!
He ran back to Riku. Riku stood back on his knees.
Riku: This world is perfect for me. If this is what the world really is, just this, then maybe I should fade back into darkness.
Sora: Riku...
Riku: If the world is made of light and darkness...We'll be the darkness.
Sora sat down and looks out at the beach.
Sora: Yeah. The other side...the Realm of Light is safe now. Kairi, Buster, and the others are there.
Riku: That's what I mean. Hey, Sora...
Sora turns to Riku.
Riku: Could you help me? I wanna get down to the water.
Sora stood back up, puts Riku's arm around his back, and carries him to the water.
Riku: At least the waves sound the same.
The duo sat on the shore besides the water.
Riku: What I said back there...about thinking I was better at stuff than you...To tell you the truth, Sora...I was jealous of you.
Sora: What for?
Riku: I wish I could live life the way you do. Just following my heart.
Sora: Yeah, well, I got my share of problems, too.
Riku: Like what?
Sora: Like...wanting to be like you.
Riku: Well, there is one advantage to being me...Something you can never imitate.
Sora: Really? What's that?
Riku: Having you for a friend.
Sora: Then I guess...I'm OK the way I am. I've got something you can never imitate, too.
The duo looks up at the sky and closed their eyes. Then Riku opens his eyes and noticed a bottle by his foot. He picks it up and saw a letter inside of it. He opens it, pulls the letter out, and reads it. He then turns to Sora.
Riku: Sora? I think it's for you.
He hands the letter to Sora. Sora reads the letter.
Thinking of you, wherever you are. We pray for our sorrows to end, and hope that our hearts will blend. Now, I will step forward to realized this wish. And who knows? Starting a new journey may not be so hard, or maybe it's already begun. There are many worlds, but they share the same sky, one sky, one destiny.
Suddenly, a bright light appears on the beach.
Riku: Light.
Sora: The Door to Light.
He stood up.
Sora: We'll go together.
Riku: Yeah.
He stood up and the two boys walked over to the light. On an ocean by the sunset, two rays of light fell from the sky like meteors and landed on the water. Out came Sora and Riku.
?: Sora! Riku!
Sora and Riku turns to see Kairi waving at them. She was on Destiny Islands. Sora was running towards her, but then Buster, Plucky, Dizzy, Furrball, and Elder-Ham ran up to him. Dizzy jumps on Sora and licks his face. Plucky jumps on Sora too, making him fall back on the water. Buster ran up to Riku, who raised him up in the air. Sora smiles at Kairi, who smiles back at him. He took out the Oathkeeper Keychain and looks at it. Suddenly, he turns into Roxas, and Kairi turns into Namine, then they both turned back to normal.
Sora: We're back.
Kairi offers her hand.
Kairi: You're home.
Sora held her hand with the Keychain in it, too. He stood up and looks at Kairi. Suddenly, the two were about to lean in for a kiss, when suddenly, they felt water splash in their faces. They both turned to see Plucky, Dizzy, and Furrball laughing at them.
Sora: Hey! I was having a moment!
Plucky: Sorry, kid. But it'll have to wait.
Sora: Why, you...
He starts chasing Plucky around the beach. Everyone was laughing at the boy chasing the duck around.
