Disclaimer : I don't own beybladeDark black clouds were hanging in the sky. People were rushing to reach their destination before the snow falls in Japan. Kids were dressed in warm clothes waiting for the snow to fall to play in it. Around all these things occupants of the Granger dojo were moving back and forth trying to find the necessary items to pack.
Now you might ask why were they packing. Well you see Mr Dickinson had a fabulous idea to invite every team to go skeeing as a bonding exercise. They had to leave tomorrow but with Tyson and Daichi in the same house it's not possible for you to keep everything in order.
Between all these activities Kai sat outside the dojo waiting for it to calm down. Looking up the sky his thought drifted to his boyfriend. Remembering Hiro brought a small smile on his face. Talking about Hiro he hadn't seen the coach of g revolution for all day now. Kai frowned at that. It's not everyday that Hiro stayed in his room for 24 hours.
Getting up from the porch Kai headed inside to his and Hiro's room. Gently opening the door the first thing he noticed was that the room was dark and someone was lying on the bed. This worried Kai even more. He haven't seen his boyfriend sleep for that long. Turning on the lights and walking towards the bed Kai tried to wake Hiro but to no avail.
"Hiro get up it's late" Kai said softly and gently pushed the hair back from giros forehead. Touching his forehead again Kai felt it a bit warm but he couldn't tell as his own body temperature was a little higher than the normal human thanks to dranzer. But he was sure it was Hiro's temperature was higher than normal. Kai went to the adjoined bathroom and brought the thermometer from it.
Kai tried again and this time Hiro did wake up. "Hey" Kai said gently " don't move just open your mouth " which Hiro did too tired to say anything. When Kai heard the beep of the thermometer he brought it out and checked it. "I was right. You have a fever" Kai said a little worried. "How much" asked Hiro. "103 degree Celsius " said Kai sighing. "I am gonna go and get your dad alright. Try not to fall asleep" Kai said gently kissing Hiro's forehead.
Kai went into the hallway after closing the door gently. "Mr Granger " Kai started finding him in the kitchen "Hiro have a fever and it's pretty high" "I'll come and check on him" Bruce said putting the dishes away that he was washing.
They both walked back to Hiro's room and gently went inside. Bruce gently touched Hiro's forehead noticing the small beads of sweat. "I'll go and call the doctor. Meanwhile try putting a cold clothe on his forehead " said Bruce standing up and walking out of the door.
Kai did as he was told. He brought a bowl from the kitchen and a towel from the washroom. Filling up the bowl with cold water and soaking the towel he gently placed it on Hiro's forehead. Hiro was about to fall asleep again when a shouting match between Tyson, Daichi and Hilary woke him up.
Kai went to the living room to find the three trying to shout above the next and the rest of his team watching. "If you don't shut up right now I swear I'll send the three of you outside without any jacket. You can shout as much as you want there" Kai said in a low threatening voice which shut the three of them pretty quickly. "Hiro got a fever and I want him to rest which is not possible until you all ship up and let him sleep. If he wakes up again because of you I swear I will make Tala and Bryan look like angels. Is that clear" Kai said when he had the attention of his entire team. Seeing each of them nod he went back to his room and sat on the chair by Hiro's bed that he brought.
Around 15 minutes later a doctor arrived with Bruce behind him. Kai stood up from his position to give the doctor some space. "I take it the peace in the house is because of you" Bruce whispered into kai's ear when the doctor started checking on Hiro. "Well I just asked them really politely to not make a noise" Kai said looking innocent. "Of course you did" replied Brice chuckling a little.
Their conversation was cut if when the doctor walked towards them. "There is nothing to worry about. It's just a common flu. He will be fine as soon as the fever breaks. Here are some medicine that he will need and when his fever breaks don't let him go out of the house " the doctor said handing a paper of medication on them.
"Thank you doctor. I'll show you out. Kai will you please stay with Hiro" said Bruce. "You thought I was gonna leave him" Kai asked raising an eyebrow. Bruce went with the doctor and Kai took his previous seat.
Bruce came back with Hiro's medicine and kept them on the bedside table. "I am gonna call Mr Dickinson and tell him that we will not be able to come" said Bruce looking at Kai. "Alright " Kai said not bothering to look up. Bruce smiled gently and ruffled kai's hair affectionately.
Soon day turned into night and the occupants of the dojo were sitting in the dining room. Brice cleared his throat to gain everyone's attention which he did "Hiro is sick so we are not going to the skeeing trip" Bruce said. "But daaad" started Tyson only to be cut off by a raised eyebrow send in his direction. "Can we go on a trip after Hiro recovers" Tyson said pouting. Bruce chukeled and nodded. "Has anyone seen Kai" asked Rei. "He is in his room with Hiro" replied Bruce. "I'll bring both of them dinner " said Rei in full mother hen mode.
Entering Kai and Hiro room Rei couldn't help but smile at the couple. Hiro was awake and was talking to Kai quietly. He said something that made Kai blush and smile a little. Rei couldn't stop himself and awed at them which gained him the attention he did not wanted.
Noticing they had an audience made Kai blush harder. "Rei what are you doing here" asked Hiro. "Um I brought you guys dinner" he replied lifting the plates as to prove. "We are not hungry right now but thanks you can keep it on the table" Kai said. Rei did as he was told and went out quietly.
Coming into the hallway he saw Bruce talking on his phone with an expression he could not read. Rei waited until the phone call ended and went to ask what was it about but was asked to gather everyone in the living room.
Soon everyone was seated in the living room waiting for Bruce to begin. "The trip has been postponed to next week as we don't have enough adults with Hiro sick so you still have time" Bruce finished with a smile at seeing the joyous reaction of the teens. "Come on now go to bed" said Bruce clapping his hand.
At midnight Bruce went to check on Kai and Hiro. Kai was by Hiro's side reading a book with a table lamp on and Hiro sleeping peacefully. "Kai it's midnight you should sleep" said Bruce softly. "It's all right Mr Granger I am not sleepy " said Kai just as softly. "You know I can sit by his side go and get some rest " offered Bruce. "I really am fine. Anyway like you said its late you should go sleep " replied Kai. "You sure" "yes" with a final sigh Bruce left their room.
Around 2'o'clock Hiro woke up panting and looking around, not seeing Kai anywhere he panicked and was about to get up when Kai came out of the bathroom. Kai looked up at Hiro and frowned. "Hey what happened everything alright " asked Kai coming closer. As soon as Kai was within arms reach Hiro pulled Kai into his arms resting his head on his shoulder. Hiro let a few tears pass and pulled Kai closer.
Kai was surprised was an understatement. Hiro's tears brought him back to reality and he started rubbing Hiro's back to calm him down. Kai let Hiro cry for as long as he wanted. After a few minutes Hiro calmed down enough to look at Kai. "Sorry I just had a bad dream involving you" Hiro said a little embarrassed. Kai first chukeled and then smiled softly. Wiping away the few remaining of the tears with his hand he said " it's okay I am not leaving anytime soon" . This brought a smile to Hiro's face. "Go back to sleep, you need it" Kai said kissing Hiro's cheek.
The rest of the night was spend peacefully with Hiro sleeping and Kai watching over him.
For two days Hiro's fever did not break but on the third one it did. Kai stayed up all night for two days to look after Hiro. Now Hiro was fine but was not allowed to go out which he did not minded.
"Well you sure did took your time in the shower " Kai said raising an eyebrow from his position on the bed as soon as Hiro came out if shower. "What can I say I took a shower after two days so excuse me for trying to feel tidy " Hiro replied drying his hair with a towel.
Kai's eyes went to the well toned chest of one Hiro Granger and he licked his lips softly. Well he can't help it. His boyfriend was standing in front of him with nothing but a pair of jeans with naked chest and small droplets of water falling down his naked chest. Add messy and wet hair to that well you can say that Kai had a lot of self control.
Seeing Kai staring Hiro couldn't help but chuckle. "Liked what you saw" asked Hiro teasingly. Well Hiro wasn't the one to leave an opportunity to tease his boyfriend especially when he looked so cute blushing.
Caught staring Kai couldn't help but blush. Looking up he saw Hiro looking at him with ginger in his eyes which made him blush even more.
Walking towards Kai, Hiro gently cupped kai's cheeks in his hand and brought their face together. He stopped only a few centimeters away and whispered "you never answered my question ". Instead of answering Kai just closed the gap between them crushing his lips to Hiro's. Hiro gently pushed Kai back on the bed and climbed up on top of him without breaking the kiss. Tilting kai's head to a side and deepening the kiss Hiro liked kai's bottom lip asking for entrance which was granted immediately. Hiro did not waste anytime entering kai's hot cavern. His tongue gently crased kai's tongue which earned himself a small moan. Hiro yanked his hand under kai's T-shirt to which Kai gasped.
Soon the air become too essential and they had to break apart. Breathing heavily Kai again blushed at the position they were in.
But before Hiro could say anything Kai yawned. Hiro sleeping gently and lied down next to Kai pulling him against him. Kai's head rested on Hiro's chest. Their legs tangled and Hiro's arm wrapped gently around kai's waist. "You stay awake with me for two days, sleep now" Hiro said pulling the blanket over their bodies.
Kai just relaxed against him and within five minutes he was asleep. Hiro chuckled but soon he too went to sleep.
This was how Bruce found them later when he came to check on Hiro. He gently smiled down at the couple and went out of the room turning the lights off. Well now he had to make sure no one makes much noise so they can sleep for as long as they want.
