Heavy breathing saturates a room, with a medic-nin overlooking the birth of Nokus fist born. Irritation rises on Nokus face as her husband was pacing back and forth with anxiety. "Chen stop being an idiot, there is nothing to be worried about". Chen turns to his wife and stops pacing and tries to show a reassuring smile that comes across as very forced. With a sigh Noku turns to look at the doctor overlooking her birth. "How much longer will she be Kyu". The doctor smiles at Noku, "why are you being impatient, its not like you will be going on missions any faster if she comes out quicker". Kyu looks at Chen who started fiddling with his Hitai-ate, "Don't worry any minute she will be read to come out". A moan brings Kyu's attention back to Noku, who smiles and indicates, "looks like shes ready".
A cry brings Chens attention to his daughter, who is in Kyus arms. The crying abruptly stops as the baby suddenly tries to take in her surroundings. "Hm, she seems like she will be quite observant Noku". Hearing Kyu, Noku peered at her daughter with a smile creeping up her face. "Pass her over here". Noku Holds up her daughter and gazes up at her. "Looks like my family might finally have a shinobi worthy of having our name remembered". "Aren't you putting a little too much pressure, so early sweety". Throwing a worrying glance at his wife as he steps forward to observe his child, Chen asks worryingly. "Ill have to run some tests on her while you two get ready to name her". Walking out of the room with the baby Kyu sighs worryingly at the two shinobi.
"… She seems quite reactive, and strangely has a chakra potential that rivals some of the main clan's that are renowned for their chakra size". With a glance Kyu sees that the husband and wife had calmed down. "Have you decided on a name yet?". "We have decided on Mōdoku for her". Noku indicates. Chen looks like he has disagreements yet doesn't attempt to correct her. "Ok, we will her name down as such, as you are healthy Noku you can rest here or return home immediately". "Yeah, ill head home, to get things ready for Mōdokus future training". Noku walks out of the room holding her daughter with Chen following behind, worrying about the pressure that Mōdoku will go through when she grows up.
Eyes flicking back and forth Mōdoku toddles after her mother trying to keep up with the rapid pace she is moving compared to her own speed. Attempting to get her attention Mōdoku blabbers "mlummy what doing". "Hey Momo I'm about to start making poison, can you go and a read a book by yourself please?". Mōdoku looks up and tilts her head before walking off in search of a book that she is yet to read. While walking out of the room Mōdoku decides to bring up the issue she has been mulling over. "Mummy, when will you start teaching me poisons?". The hands that were moving rapidly start to slow as a thoughtful look appears on Nokus face. "Hm, well we have to wait for your body to be capable of handling the poisons as you have to build an immunity up before you can start properly preparing to use it". "Let's say that, when I find that you will be capable handling the pain and properly following my instructions, I will get you started on this one". Holding up a plant that Mōdoku turns to get a good look at.
Mōdoku responds with "Ok Mummy" and goes to find a book about poison so she knows more about the pain she will face. Mōdoku drowns out the sound of her mother getting back to creating poisons and finds the plant that she was looking for. 'The feeling of the plant is like being stun repeatedly with needles'. Looking up from her book and towards her mother she contemplates how long it would take before her mother believed she was ready.
Mōdoku walks towards her mother's station deciding that she would see how the pain of the plant will feel. When she enters the room, she sees her mother working with poisons. She sees her mother look towards her and starts walking to the plant that she was shown a few months earlier. Looking towards her mother for confirmation she sees that her mother has not stepped up to stop her so she goes ahead and grabs one of the leaves from a plant rubbing it between her hands.
She looks towards her mother and starts to put it in her mouth as she read that ingesting it is a faster way to build immunity. When it is in her mouth, she sees her mother panic and rush to her side. "why would you do- are you alright sweetie, or do we need to head to a hospital". Surprised by her mother appearing Mōdoku falls over. When she is ready, she got up and responds "it's a little tingly but it doesn't hurt as bad as the book made it seem it would". Noku looks at her daughter in disbelief at the calmness she exudes as she struggled with getting started with poison training at 5 and her little baby is only a few months over one. "Mommy I was able to handle the poison, does that mean I will be able to start training now?". Peering up at her mother who is still in shock at her daughter's actions, Mōdoku asks. Noku looking at her daughter with disbelief at her daughter's commitment to following what she said half a year ago, smiles. "Well, I suppose that is the course of action that we will have to take, seeing as how committed you are".
