The Cold Cryolophosaurus of Winter

My name is Crystal. I'm a blue and white Cryolophosaurus with a very unique crest. One of the Secret Dinosaurs with ice powers and chosen to be the Guardian of Water to Gaffer Miku's kingdom, Dainason.

Before becoming a guardian, my life as a Secret Dinosaur was the coldest thing that's ever happened to me. I lived my life like a cold block of ice.

Unlike my other Cryolophosaurus kind who lives freely together and be with their mates, I was the only one different from the others since the day, we got "rescued" by creatures known as humans.

For some reason, one of the human who rescued us kept me away from the others and did something to me.

I don't know how much pain I could endure that human did to me. That human had blue spiky hair and eyes with red markings on his face calling himself "Seth" which probably must be that human's name.

He made me do things like enduring cold snow and blizzards.

He said to himself calling these things "experiments" and "tests".

"You'll have to keep on withstanding the coldness until you get used to it."

That's what that human always said to me everyday. He refused to let me be together with the other Cryolophosaurus relatives, friends or even find myself a mate.

Many days passed, my tests just keep getting more and more tough. For now, I'm getting used to the coldness of the snow and ice so much that even I could feel my breath being cold.

However...

After going through till the end, everything changed after I was altered into secret element.

For the first time after a long separation from my kind, I was allowed to talk to the others. Gathering all my courage, I walk up to a group of Cryolophosaurus.

Their colors are all a different shade of blue. I said my greeting to them, but...

"Cold!"

"Don't get close to her!"

"She'll freeze us!"

Just like that, they ran far away from me. Their respond made me feel hurt. What exactly did I do?

"Wait, please come back!"

I realized something when I roar out to call out to them. The air I breath out becomes cold and froze a nearby tree.

I was shocked! What did that human did to me?!

With each passing day, I live my life all alone in a dark and cold world. Whenever I tried to make friends, they just ignored and avoided me, calling me a freak. Including my old friends before that human alter me.

My life was already ruined after this change. Because of this, I close off my heart, claiming myself that it's better off being alone and only follow every order or command the human summons me.

However, inside my heart, I cried by myself when nobody's around.

The truth is, I wanted somebody, it doesn't matter who, to notice me and I don't want to be alone anymore!

Only me as a normal Cryolophosaurus and not the Secret Cryolophosaurus!

During some time, I was ordered to frighten the humans, then Seth, the human that used me commanded me to use one of my secret power, Snow Crystal at the 6 normal dinosaurs with some kind of weird looking things on their bodies.

Just like that with one strike, they're all defeated and down on the ground. It doesn't make any difference anyway if they're hurt or part of my kind, I'm the way I am because of my change.

"SETH! It's always you!"

Suddenly, an angry voice echo. I look forward and it turn out to be a female human with long red hair and blue eyes giving out a stern and angry feeling.

"You're the cause of everyone's suffering! Not just the dinosaurs but countless innocent people too! You claim to be doing this for the greater good but all you care about is yourself! I'll never forgive you for this!"

I can't believe what I'm hearing. This little human girl spoke to Seth about us dinosaurs and the other humans.

It's true, despite in my card form and being kept inside his clothe's pocket space, I heard everything about what Seth was doing all this time.

Dinosaurs other than my kind were roaring out either in pain or frustration. As for humans, I heard him talking something about kidnapping or hostages.

"Dino Slash! Microraptor, Shine!"

After that, the human girl summoned out a Dinosaur of her own. It's a small Microraptor with wings as white as snow. But that's not all, that little one has rainbow aura like me! I can't believe it! Another dinosaur other than Cryolophosaurus being altered. However for some reason, I don't sense any negative feelings from it, from the way how it and the girl give off the same facial expression.

"Heh, you must be joking. If your friends couldn't defeat me, what chance do have all by your lonesome?"

Seth taunted at her as I growl... Not a taunting, but a regular growl.

"Go, Miku!"

She launched the Microraptor latch on her arm and threw her at me.

"Ha! You've just sealed your own fate! Snow Crystal!"

As commanded, I Summon my ice attack and fired them at the incoming Microraptor.

While the other humans from the other side panicked, just then, something unexpected happened!

As the Microraptor dodged every one of my crystals, it's human partner did the exact same movement just after the winged dinosaur dodged and goes after her!

It was the most unbelievable sight I've seen for the first time!

While lost in thought as I watched, the Microraptor came closer to me and immediately attached on my head above my crest.

"Power Siphon! Full Power!"

With one command from the girl, the Microraptor glow blindingly bright with colors of the rainbow as I feel my strength being drain and suck out of me.

It was painful but somehow, I feel lighter. It's like, all of my sadness and painful memories were being erased. Oh, it felt so wonderful as every last bit of strength are all out as I glow and turn back into my card form.

I'll never forget this. I wanted to thank them from the bottom of my heart if I ever meet them again.

The next time I'm being summoned for who knows how long since that day alongside the other Secret Dinosaurs like me the other four, Megalosaurus, Therizinosaurus, Deinonychus Trio and Pachycephalosaurus were somehow managed to live a long life.

I don't know what caused us to live long, but I'm relief. That's because I wanted to meet this human girl and Microraptor who helped me experience this feelings I felt for the first time once again.

Years went on and on but no luck so far. To tell the truth I don't even know that human girl's name, but I did remember she called that Microraptor of hers "Miku", wasn't it?

Using that as an only clue, I just have to look for a white Microraptor with the name Miku in it.

In some number of years later, a place was built behind a building which the human called it the "Rainbow Dinosaur Incubator". The place behind it was named "Dino Village".

They say it's where all baby dinosaurs could live and play until they would be adopted by humans. It's also the home of us Secret Dinosaurs which we will feel safe from outsiders.

The Dino Village has an Elderly Dinosaur who watches over them like a guardian.

I was shocked when I heard that our Elder's name was Miku and a Microraptor, the exact same name and species of the one belonged to the human girl.

I was overjoyed, however I learned that this Elder was not the one I thought. This Microraptor was male and his full name was Gaffer Miku. Moreover, his partner was no longer in this world anymore.

Feeling hopeless of ever seeing them again, I return to my lonely life again.

One day in winter time, some unexpected visitors came to Dino Village. Dino, Dano and Sue, the Secret Deinonychus Trio came with a human girl and Microraptor.

They said, they were asked by her mother to babysit her while the girl's father was away on an overnight work.

"Hello. I'm Cera. Nice to meet you."

To my surprise, this girl has red hair and blue eyes just like the girl from that time. And that Microraptor...

"This little one is Miku."

"Hi!"

I knew it! Judging by the voice, it's female. But I wonder if she's that same girl from that time. If she is, she's a lot younger than this one in front of me.

From what I heard from those 3, they've become partners of this little girl's mother and the fact that she and this little girl having the ability to communicate with dinosaurs.

I was shocked about this fact!

I was the second Secret Dinosaur they'lI spend time with me playing in the snow and I sometimes even demonstrate I could do with my ice powers.

Unlike others who ran away, this girl and Microraptor happily smile and cheer me on.

For the first time in forever, I felt many different kind of emotion from them. Happy, joy, and lots of positive ones other than sadness, loneliness and other negative ones.

"Say, do you have a name?"

"Eh? Oh no, I don't have a name." I answered. For all my life, I never had a name. I was always called cold and other cold-related names.

"It's sad. Hmm?"

Looks like Cera's is coming up a name for me.

"Crystal".

"What?"

"Yes, I think it suits you. From now on, your name will be Crystal!"

She said with a smile, as she continued.

"Your ice shine and sparkles like a crystals so I'll call you Crystal for now on. Do you like it?"

My ice shine and sparkles like crystals? This may be the first time someone ever complimented my ice powers like that.

All my life, my ice powers are dangerous to those who sees it from their point of view. I don't know what to say...

For some reason, I could feel water streaming down my face.

"Oh, Crystal! You're crying! Did I do something to make you sad?"

While wallowing in tears of happiness mistaken for sadness by Cera and Miku, I felt the feeling I've waited to return is finally here. I'm so happy to meet them even if she and her Miku are different from the ones from the past.

I have no regret. These girls have freed me from my frozen ice cage.

Oops, I'm sorry I didn't notice it! The last sentence from that chapter was so small that I didn't even think about it. So I followed the anime version instead, so I apologize. But, it didn't say if it's a normal or secret one and besides, she doesn't appear in the other chapters until Season 2.

Anyway, I feel like my way is good enough, no offense. I hope you like my version.

I'm afraid no. This diary shows one part story of each Secret Dinosaurs after their profile. However, some of Gaffer Miku's past will come up more in future chapters from "Secret Dinosaur Princess" story. Just be patient.
