Trees and houses rising up to sky are what catches Mōdokus eyes as she steps outside her house for the first time. Looking back, she sees her father walking behind her to allow her to experience the world how she desires to, a smile creeps up her lips as she turns and looks expectantly up at her father who meets her eyes and quickly looks away.
Giggling at her father's foolishness of not enjoying making contact with her Mōdoku suddenly stops as she remembers that she was supposed to start using the new poison mixture to gain immunity to today. "Daddy, can you pass me the poison mix mum gave you?". She asked tilting her head and peering into her father's eyes as he turns to look. She notices he stiffens up slightly before reaching into his bag and producing a sealed vile. He pauses slightly before passing it to her. "Of cause sweetie I know you have been waiting for this, especially as Noku has brought up moving forward in your immunity training at your 2nd birthday celebration two days ago".
Her smile grows wider as she continues looking at her father uncorks it and downs it in one go. She feels slight satisfaction seeing the uncomfortable look on her father's face as she overheard him and her mother arguing about how early they will move forward her poison training forward.
"What are doing today father?". She asks expectantly, hoping that as her poison training has been increased, she could start training in physical exercise and chakra control. Chen puts a hand on her head before pausing slightly and slowly rubbing it, "Today we will be just walking around so that you can get an idea of the village and we may hop around to my parents house". With a defeated look Mōdoku starts walking forward dodging the people in her way.
Overhearing her father call her name she looks back. "Mōdoku you haven't been training on your own have you?". He asks. She stiffens slightly not realising that her movements had given away her secret. Looking softly at her father she asks, "What makes you say that daddy?". She overhears her father sigh and say, "When your mother returns from her mission, we will have a chat about the dangers of unsupervised training, until then I forbid you from doing any".
Pausing and trying to counter her father, Mōdoku slumps and mumbles, "I don't see why I can't start training my chakra control it isn't that difficult". She looks at her father and realises that he overheard her and dismissed her opinion. With less energy than before she walks around until she comes across a park with children 4-7 playing ninja. She looks at Chen before dismissing the idea to ask if she can play, before walking forward. She comes across a store that looks interesting and looks at her father before she sees him nod that she is allowed inside.
Smiling she enters the store and sees various shinobi tools and weapons laying about, Mōdoku contemplates whether she could get her father to allow her to play with some before she stops and decides on just looking at them instead. She finds the throwing weapons interesting as she recalls that her mother had mentioned that they were her most utilised shinobi tool.
She hears her father talking and spins to see what he was doing, and finds him talking to whom she presumes is the store owner. A smile comes to her lips as the thought that she might get something before she sees her father look over towards her and ask. "Are you done looking Momo?". Her smile stops and she starts walking over to him in defeat. She tries to make her voice sound not as disappointed as she is and replies. "Yeah daddy, let's keep walking".
After being told to return home she pauses to think of whether she should walk on what she presumes is the shortest way or go back the way she came. She starts walking on the shorter path before her father calls. "Sweetie I said we are going, no more time for wandering". She looks confusedly at her father before replying, "I know, I'm taking the shorter route back". She spots her father pause before he asks, "You remember the way back?".
Looking confusedly at her father she tilts her head mulling on what he is trying to imply. "Yeah, its not that difficult". Chen pauses before nodding and indicates, "Alright then sweetie take us home". Mōdoku looks back at her father for a second before walking, on her way back.
"… utilise chakra at her age is irresponsible as parents". Mōdoku overhears before peering at the room that holds her father and mother. She hears her mother happily respond, "If she is ready there's no reason to hold her back, its not like we can fully stop her from trying it herself so we may as well train her with supervision". She spots her father flop into a seat before exclaiming, "This is about our daughter and not your family name, right?". Her mother looks at her husband before acknowledging, "Of course it is to do with my family, however that doesn't change that I believe that she is ready for starting her shinobi training".
"Noku dear, she's only two there is no way she will be able to handle training". Overhearing her father try and persuade her mother Mōdoku interjects, "I'm ready, I can do it". Speeding into the room she sees her parents both look at her to busy arguing to sense her enter the room before. Her father and mother look at each other before her father gives up and expresses, "Well we have to limit her training somewhat and only start with low strenuous exercises". Noku picks her up and spins her with a smile on her lips looking into her eyes, "of cause, dear".
Mōdoku having realised that she will finally be allowed to train asks, "What will we be training first". Her mother still looking up at her responds. "Well I suppose we light start with throwing weapons seeing my proficiency and your interest. A large smile comes to Mōdoku lips as she realises, she can finally start her destined journey as a shinobi.
