Running around the village doing missions brings Mōdokus attention to her teammates. Sakaes words running through her head.

She mulls over how to form a cohesive unit with each of them. Over the week that they have been together she has gained a deeper understanding of each of them.

Aiya being the easier one to understand. Her motives being to becoming a strong shinobi and not have her clan's separation of classes hold her back. Mōdoku senses her and decides that she will attempt to form friendship with her before she attempts to befriend Saburo.

She shunshins next to Aiya and keeps pace with her wondering if it would be better to speak first or wait until Aiya asks what she's doing.

Noting how Aiya throws her a questionable look and continues running, she decides that she has to speak first.

"Aiya, after this mission would you like to train with me?".

The question causes Aiya to take a misstep and almost fall over. Before she hits the ground Mōdoku holds her up and stops at a more open area.

"What makes you ask this question now?". She hears, Aiyas misstep glossed over.

Mōdoku tilts her head before replying, "Teacher commented on my lack of comradery, seeing as we will be in a team for some time, and neither you or Saburo had really talked to me I thought I should start the team building myself".

Aiya squints at her, fiddles with her hair while biting her lip.

"I thought you hated being on a team with us, that's why I hadn't attempted to talk much to you".

Hearing this Mōdoku freezed up, wondering how they could get that impression before she remembers the way that her class acted was similar to how Aiyas acting.

The thought that she is too dismissive of people crosses her mind, before she dismisses it is she doesn't believe it's a major problem.

"I don't hate you; I just see that you and Saburo don't seem to be as committed to the shinobi life as I am".

Her reply makes Aiyas eyes go wide before she mumbles, "Just because you have less commitments than me doesn't mean that you can dismiss me like that".

Mōdoku knows that she is talking about the Hyuga clan, however being clan less doesn't know much about how clans run. "Alright then how about we do some training after these missions then? It would allow for me to see how committed you are".

Blood rushes to Aiyas face before she angrily responds, "Fine, I have no major commitments today, I'll show you".

Mōdoku smiles nodding happily that she had achieved her goal. "Alright let's finish up these transport missions quickly so we can get started earlier".

She than starts running to her objective, seeing Sakae had spotted her and Aiya talking. Waving as she passed, she focuses back on completing the mission.

At the training ground Mōdoku had started practicing her shurenjutsu while waiting for Aiya. After some time, she senses Aiya coming close. Quickly packing up her weapons, she smiles as Aiya appears.

"Before we start, I have to ask if you have practised water walking before?". Aiya pauses at the question responding, "I haven't yet, I judged that other practices were more time sensitive".

Mōdoku nods motioning Aiya towards a patch of water walking a few steps out. "Alright let's see you start".

Aiya looked warily toward her, noting the impassive face of Mōdoku. She steps the side of the lake and puts one foot over the water.

Once she felt that she was comfortable she lifted her over leg and placed it also on the water. Falling into the water as her control slipped.

Aiyas fall caught Mōdoku off guard causing her to misjudge the ripples and also fall into the water. Stepping out onto the land Mōdoku grumbles, "Idiot how can you let her mistake ruin your concentration".

Mōdoku stepped back out onto the water and starts running around and practising her taijutsu. She notices the water had rippled again and looks over at Aiya in the water again. She sees Aiya focused and decides to let her be.

Once she had done some taijutsu practice Mōdoku started to practice her sensing while on water. The dual usage of focus having made her fall into the water some times before.

She noticed that the ripples had been less frequent and spots Aiya slowly walking on the water. She waves at her before going back to the task she was doing.

The occasional falls of Aiya made Mōdoku almost slip up again, however as she was ready for it she had managed to correct herself every time.

She senses that Aiyas speed on water had increased somewhat, looking over she sees Aiyas smiling face.

Taking note of the time Mōdoku asks, "Do you want to do some sparring now that you have gotten started?".

The question causing Aiya to stop her fun, turning to face her and replying, "Alright, it's about time".

Aiya started going towards the land confusing Mōdoku, who planned to spar on the water. Before also going to the land as she guessed that Aiya wasn't confident on the water yet.

Walking in front of Aiya, looking up at her Mōdoku pays attention to the difference in height between them. "Although I meant to spar on the water, on the grounds fine for now".

Aiya looks over to the water before back to her replying softly, "Yeah, I think that's for the best".

Seeing Aiya appeared to be ready Mōdoku started the fight hitting her several times, she sees Aiya activate her byakugan, before starting to throw her own punches.

Mōdoku skilfully deflected each hit, seeing as one hit cause considerable damage. Dashing back before dashing back in to hit Aiya with a heavy kick.

The kick causes Aiya to block, sending her back several metres.

Aiya shakes her arms before dashing herself, attempting to hit Mōdoku cleanly at least once.

After finishing the battle Mōdoku looks at the bruises that Aiya is now sporting, and says, "You alright?".

Aiya smiles in reply saying, "Yeah seeing as I hit you properly once, I'd say I'm more than alright".

Mōdoku pauses before grumbling, "Lucky shot that's all". Knowing full well that Aiya had started to memorize her attack patterns, and hitting her had been no accident.

The grumbling makes Aiya laugh. Happily informing Mōdoku, "Next time I'll be even better".
