Mason Pines, is a strange child. That was what everybody said. The kid who went by the name Dipper was an only child. But that was not what it was meant to be. You see while Dipper was conceived perfectly healthy, he had a twin sister who was not so lucky. After two weekends, she passed on due to natural causes. It was decided that they would put the name they were hoping to give her, Mabel Pines, on a gravestone for her. This would have been the end of their trouble thought Mr. and Mrs. PInes, at least until their son started talking to himself. Naturally they had at first believed this was an ordinary case of imaginary friends common among children, until one day he came in the dining room one day acting strangely. You see Dipper is a very introverted child with a hard time expressing himself. Usually he would be found trying to read or catch a glimpse of the computer that Mr. Pines used for work. But this day he came in wearing a skirt and a bright sweater. "Dipper sweetie, what are you wearing?" Mrs. Pines asked softly. Her son looked at her weirdly before saying, "Mommy what are you talking about? It's me Mabel, Dipper decided to let me out so I can say hello." 'Mabel' gave their mother the brightest smile while both parents looked at her with wide tearful eyes. "Mason where did you hear that name?" Mr. Pines asked with his brows furrowed. 'Mabel' looked at him, "It's me Mabel, you gave me that name when you put me in that bed with that big rock. Why are you looking at me like that?" Both parents were shocked to say the least. "Uhh Mabel sweetie, how about you go watch some TV, Mommy and Daddy need to have a grown up talk." She blinked at them then exclaimed, "OK!" then bolted to the TV. It was then that they decided to have their child checked out by a doctor. That was when the lie of Mason 'Dipper' Pines had Dissociative identity disorder. But the truth is more supernatural in nature. The real truth that since the day he was born, Dipper has been haunted by the spirit of his twin sister.
Present Date: Bus headed towards Gravity Falls.
"Diiiipppppeeeerr! Come on, let me have control. You have had it since we left." Mabel wined towards her brother. "Mabel stop it, we both agreed that I would have my body for the first week. Now stop bugging me before the bus driver also thinks that we are crazy," Dipper huffed at his ghostly sister, "besides remember what Mom and Dad said. If we behave and like it here, wwe won't have to go back to Piedmont. We finally have a chance to escape all the stares and rumors. So please let's not ruin this." Mabel looked at him with a pensive face ," Ok Dipper, I'm sorry it's just that I'm so excited to finally meet new people. Just the thought of having a chance to make actual friends has me feeling all fuzzy inside you know." " I know Mabes, let's just sleep, we still have two hours before we get there. Let's hope our new home is accommodating to our situation." and with that both brother and sister calm down for the last leg of their journey north.
Stan Pines was looking at his two employees hoping that were as kind as he believed they were. " Ok listen up you two. As you know my great niece and nephew are coming up to the Mystery Shack for the summer," both of them shook their heads in confirmation, " Well there something i have to mention. They are the same person." Wendy Corduroy and Soos Ramirez looked at him with confused faces. Soos said, "I'm sorry Mr. Pines, but I don't think I understand. What do you mean 'the same person'?" "Ugh, what I mean is that they have a condition called Dissociative identity disorder, which means they are multiple personalities. This case it's Dipper for one, and Mabel is the other. I know it's strange, especially with me asking, but I'm asking that you don't treat them any differently than any of your friends. From what I heard they never had any and at this point they need some." Wendy then chirps, "Don't worry about boss man, we won't leave them to hang out to dry." And with that they all began packing up for the day with Stan getting ready to meet the biggest headache he will have to deal with ever since the day he had to take the place of his long lost twin.
