It was a beautiful morning in Ant Island. King Flik, Queen Atta and Princess Flika are waiting outside South Tunnel Elementary for her cousins to come and attend an open house event.
All of a sudden, they heard buzzing wings. It were the circus bugs that were remaining: Manny, Gypsy, Rosie and Dim, with their daughters Ramona and Gina.
Giggling, the girls broke into a bliss cousin hug. Flik and Atta shook hands with Manny, Gypsy, Rosie and Dim.
"So, you guys here for the open house event at school, huh?" Flik asked with a smile.
"Yes, Flik, my boy, we indeed are ready to go for it," Manny said in agreement with a smile.
"Indeed, it will be much fun like last time on our child's first day of school," Gypsy replied, holding her husband's hands.
"Well, looks like the kids are going inside, we better get going!" Atta said.
Once the bugs got in the library at South Tunnel Elementary School, the kids were sitting on their spots with teachers next to the board.
Just then, Gina started trembling nervously. Dim and Rosie reacted in confusion. And at that moment, Rosie went over to her daughter with compassion and said,
"It's okay, Gina, I know you're scared to come when the bully is the reason. But we'll take this slowly with your instructor during the open house event."
Dim nodded in agreement, and nuzzled Gina in his embrace.
"Your mother's right, sweetheart, we'll stay by you, even if the two of us don't have work at the circus because of our free day."
Gina nodded shyly with a smile, and said,
"Okay, I trust you, mom and dad."
Flik, Atta, Flika, Manny, Gypsy and Ramona watched in awe at Gina embracing Rosie and Dim.
Breaking their hug for a moment, Flik said,
"All right, guys! The bell is about to ring; let's get seated!"
As the students and their parents were seated, the principal named Thorny, said,
"Good morning, students! We would like to thank you for inviting your parents for our open house event."
Flik, Atta, Manny, Gypsy, Rosie and Dim smiled at each other, blushing. Flika, Ramona and Gina did the same.
Principal Thorny continued,
"Anyway, parents, your child will guide through his or her teachers, assigments, qnd supplies in the lockers as you guide them. Now everyone know what to do?"
The parents nodded and murmured in agreement.
Hours later...
As the school day of the open house event came to an end, the parents took their children out of South Tunnel Elementary School.
"You girls having fun?" Flik asked.
"Yes! I love it, daddy!" Flika said in agreement.
"Fun like the first day of school! Right, Gina?" Ramona said excitedly.
"Indeed it is!" Gina cheered, but her eyes began to droop as she yawns.
"Oh, boy, that's her sleep schedule, Mr. Ant," Dim said as he carried Gina in his foot, cradling her, as if she was like a baby.
"Thanks for the reminder, Dim," Rosie said compassionately.
"How was your open house event, dear Ramona?" Gypsy asked her daughter with a smile, smoothing her shoulder.
"Oh, it was fun, mommy! It was like a recognition assembly," Ramona responded cheerfully.
"That's my little girl!" Manny said as he hugged Ramona in his arms. She was giggling.
"You've made your daddy very proud," he continued.
"And your mommy, too!" Gypsy replied.
"Yep, I guess this isn't turning that bad anymore," Atta said, beaming a smile, holding Flik and Flika's hand.
After the bugs bid each other goodbye, they went into their homes, tucked in and asleep.
In the den of the anthill, Flik, Atta and Flika were sound asleep with their pet aphid named Aphie.
Meanwhile in the city of Bugdom, Manny and Gypsy tucked Ramona, who was asleep, in her bed, and in their own bedroom, Manny was smoothing Gypsy's shoulder as Gypsy was nuzzling his neck and chin, while they are sound asleep; Rosie and Dim placed Gina in her bed with her pet cat mealybug, Kevin purring sleepily next to her, and in their own bedroom, Dim was asleep, snoring softly, smoothing Rosie's abdomen, while she was also asleep, moaning softly, rubbing and smoothing his foot.
