Author's note: In this story,I'm going to include a few Jedi characters that I created; those include Masters Catana Dowen , Duel ( he only has a first name [ or last name depending on how you look at it ]), Jedi Knight Sheyenne Kaene , and Padawan Kaila Jade. Credit goes to my brother for the creation of Duel and Jade. They won't necessarily all be introduced in this chapter, however I aim to place them somewhere within this story. If you ever come across someone in the video game Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes with the name of Catana Dowen , yes , that would be me.

Chapter Two: The Kyber Crystal

Chicago, Illinois ( two days earlier )

He had been hibernating for nearly 3 years. He normally only re-merged every 30 years, but he had become hungry, unusually hungry. It had taken a lot of strength and energy for him to heal from those wounds he had sustained from that escalator. It was good that they thought he was dead, perhaps now they would leave him alone. He bared his teeth at the thought of agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. They would pay for what they had done, Mulder especially;for he had had been the one who had refused to give up the case. He would grant Scully a quick death, but Mulder, he would suffer, he will learn the consequences. Eugene Victor Tooms was alive, and he would know vengeance.

Tooms had snuck into a car rental shop and stolen a Toyota pickup. He was about to get into the car, when a glowing object caught his attention. It was a small, pure white crystal. Leaning over to it,he bent over and picked it up. He was taken aback by the aura it radiated." How did no one else discover this? It basically screams power." He thought to himself. He shrugged his shoulders,oh well, it was his now. He got into his truck that he had stolen, and placed his newly acquired crystal in the seat beside him. Tooms was carefull to go the speed limit,so he would not get pulled over. He wondered how long it would take the employees at the car rental store to figure out about the stolen car.

He was about to drive under the Belmont overpass, when he suddenly became aware of a a bright light in the car. It was that strange crystal shining so brightly, it hurt his eyes. Giving a sigh of frustration,he pulled over. Unaware that he was being watched, he picked up the crystal and threw it , expecting it to shatter, and angry when it didn't, he marched over and stomped on it. When that didn't work, he began to jump on it."Excuse me sir, is there a problem?" Tooms looked up to see a police officer standing over him."Yes!" He fumed this crystal won't break."

"Well, sir, it's a crystal, they don't break easily, also, your bleeding." Tooms looked down to see that the sharp end of the crystal had penetrated his shoe, and embedded itself into his foot. The police officer hurried over to his car and picked up his mike to request medical assistance. Suddenly he was blinded by a bright flash light. As quickly as it had come , it was gone. The officer rushed over to the spot where he had left the injured man, and found that he and his car were gone, and the crystal lay discarded in a ditch under the overpass. Alarmed by the strange turn of events,he got in his car and reported the case, completely forgetting about the crystal.
