Am I back?
I sure am!
And I'm back to my roots that connect with my name, as well, though there isn't a whole lot of blood in this story, but it's still plenty hardcore and scary to an extent which is sufficient to make said root returning so.
Here's why.
In this story, Nick and Judy, despite bringing down multiple criminals, are knocked out by Bellwether and taken to a hospital basement where, prior to regaining consciousness, each one is strapped to, well, one of two operating tables, with their being a special injection machine, needles and all, with plenty of containers of one formula or the other, all of which is done as a diabolical scheme by Bellwether, who's managed to get out of prison without anyone noticing via specific actions and strategies and created a means to do her dirty deed.
And that dirty deed is to receive the surrender of the ZPD and make them work for her against their wills so that she might achieve all of that which she aims for accomplishing, but, while she successfully injects them with the formulas she's put into the needles meant for each one, she's concentrating too much on Nick and too little on Judy because of how the thought of a helpless predator is too wonderful for words in her mind.
So Nick is injected with just what she means to, well, inject him with, but Bellwether fails to notice that she gets the wrong stuff into Judy's needle and this is going to be her worst mistake in a long, long time.
Let's go on into the story to find out why that is and what that will result in, shall we?
THINGS TO NOTE:
This story takes place two years after the events of "Zootopia"
This story was inspired by an episode of "Beast Wars" titled "Gorilla Warfare" and, albeit to a far lesser extent, the pilot episode of "Street Sharks".
I own none of the characters, since they all belong to "Zootopia", and I don't own "Beast Wars", this story's inspiration episode or otherwise, nor do I own "Street Sharks", this fic's lesser inspiration episode or otherwise.
Horror Hopps
Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, the two best members of the ZPD force, were even more on fire than usual right now, and that's saying something.
There was a vast group of crooks who were attacking various places in the region of the city that they'd made their way over to upon the ZPD hearing of said crooks, and it was none too long before they made it clear that if the crooks did not surrender and allow them to cuff them and take them in, they would attack.
Naturally, the crooks resisted arrest…in fact, they even ENCOURAGED Nick and Judy to attack, believing that there being so many of them against two cops would allow them to win, and kill both Judy and Nick, with ease.
Not so, of course.
Nick and Judy took them down and indeed incapacitated and cuffed them in seconds, proving both their stupidity and how weak they were when push came to shove.
Although they'd done an exemplary job making short work of all these crooks, the two had a new problem that neither was ready for.
You see, just as Judy was taking out her phone to signal Chief Bogo about their successful mission, both lost consciousness all of a sudden.
As it would turn out, they had both been hit over the head, and they would learn this after awakening and seeing that they were both strapped to an operating table apiece.
"What the hell?!" Judy exclaimed before Nick did exclaiming of his own in the form of: "What the fuck?! What happened? Where are we? How did we get here?"
"I can answer all three of the latter questions, fox." said a voice that neither Nick nor Judy had any problem recognizing at all, though they were shocked and confused as to why the hell they were hearing it.
The sinister sheep named Bellwether pointed over to a big, flamboyant robot of sorts and moved one of her arms around to show them where they were, which was the basement of a hospital, and she continued on: "While I was in jail, I came to know of various scientists and inventors, whether they were there before I was or not, and, whenever they spoke, since their cells were close to my own, I listened closely to see if there was anything useful that I could pick up from them. And pick up useful things from them I did."
She laughed arrogantly and then said: "Soon enough, I had all of what the hell I needed to find a means of successful escape, and the ability to create the right things with the right materials, as well, and, as you can see, I was able to use what I found in this hospital basement to make exactly what was required to turn it into a place where I could use special formulas of my own making to inject into the bloodstreams of whoever I wished with both a syringe needle machine, specifically the one that you see above you from those two operating tables I've strapped the both of you the fuck down to, once I found a way in there at the right time from the right hiding place."
Moving one of her arms to the containers of various liquids of various colors which were behind the needle machine, she kept talking: "There you see the chemicals that are given the colors to indicate the effect they'll have on whatever victim or victims, in this case the two of you, contained in beakers which are side by side with one another to make drawing whatever formula I wish to with my needles easier, and the robot I motioned my arm towards is designed so that it can literally do anything I tell it to do, with teleporting out of here and nailing you over the heads to knock you out and then picking you both up and teleporting back here so that I can strap you down to those operating tables like I've obviously done being just as obviously no exception whatsoever."
Looking at Nick, she then said: "And that should all answer those three questions that came from your obvious stupidity, predator scum, though I would wager that you and the dumb bunny also need and want to know what the hell all of this fucking shit is for, so I will tell you and her that, as well."
Flashing a diabolical grin, she then informed them: "I seek the fucking surrender of the whole damn ZPD, regardless of whether they are predator or prey members, as so to force them to be my slaves in order to successfully be, well, successful, in that which I also seek, which is a lot of things, to be sure. To say the least, in fact. This will be certain to become so after I've injected you both with a specific formula apiece which will put you in a state that will give them no choice but to give me their surrender and servitude…for you, Wilde, it will be one that will utterly deprive you of your equilibrium even though you will otherwise still be alive, and for you, Hopps, it will be one which will replace your courage with cowardice and indeed cause your ass to become a fucking coward. And neither of you can do shit to fucking stop me."
Struggling to break free after hearing all of this, Nick and Judy took none too long to realize that the strong straps which kept them stuck to the operating tables made said struggle prove futile, all while Bellwether got her injection machine moving towards the beakers which contained the chemicals required to succeed in what she was intending to do, and it was easy to get to where they were, since the ivory formula was next to the yellow formula, with the latter next to the red formula, in terms of what was where concerning each formula, the color thereof and what effects it would have on whoever the hell it was injected with.
But since Nick was a predator, she didn't focus on Judy half as much in terms of what chemical she'd be drawing as she did on him, so while the needle meant for Nick did indeed draw the ivory formula, the needle meant for Judy drew the red formula instead of the yellow formula like Bellwether was intending for her injection.
Once she'd filled the needles, she used what was needed to operate the injection machine the right way for what she was intent on, and, once said needles were pointed directly at their intended targets, Nick and Judy's eyes opened as widely as they possibly could.
"And so it is that you, sly fox, will lose your equilibrium for a very long while, indeed, and you, dumb bunny, will become more cowardly than even the most timid of rabbits could ever have fucking thought possible!" Bellwether cackled. "One wreck and one coward, coming up!"
Injecting away, Bellwether grinned evilly as Nick and Judy both screamed the fuck out: "E-RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" in agony, and after Bellwether was done, she made the straps come undone by ordering her robot to create a special manipulation of them which would do the deed, and let Nick and Judy fall off after it happened.
"Okay, time to make myself scarce!" Bellwether said. "Your fellow officers are doubtless wondering why you haven't called by now, so they're just as undoubtedly on their way as we speak. So long, weak and wimpy!"
Ordering her robot to teleport her and itself away to an underground museum laboratory where she could invent what needed to be newly invented with its help, that robot did just that and things were going even further uphill for Bellwether than before.
Shortly after Bellwether had escaped, the other ZPD officers, having recently found out where the hell Nick and Judy were and also, well, found a means to get in there, arrived in that hospital basement along with Chief Bogo, said chief saying: "Hopps? Wilde? What the hell fucking happened here?" despite how he and all the others were shocked to see what the hell had been done with the place and who the hell had motherfucking made it that way.
Nick, barely able to lift his head, looked up at his boss and said: "Bellwether…she broke out of prison somehow…got the drop on me and Judy…after we took out a lot of crooks…with a special robot of hers…strapped us to these tables after having it teleport us into this hospital basement…she turned into a laboratory…and injected us with a nasty chemical apiece…one to make me too weak to stand, and the other to turn Judy into a coward."
"I see." Chief Bogo said. He then turned to the other officers and said: "Get these two back to the station and into the infirmary immediately. Call everyone else in the ZPD to give them the signal to look for Bellwether's whereabouts, as well. And do it now…there's no time to waste at all!"
Picking up his two best officers, he placed them in the car which was closest to where the police cars were outside of the building after he and the others got out of first the hospital basement and then the hospital itself, got them strapped down with seatbelts with some effort, and its drivers promptly, well, drove the both of them back to the station, where they got placed in the infirmary's beds after everything that had been learned thanks to Nick got told about to the ZPD members who had not been part of what had just happened thanks to Bellwether upon Chief Bogo and all the other ZPD members getting to their cars and driving the fuck back to their station, as well.
The nurses in that infirmary, both female gazelles, were shocked at the sort of conditions that Bellwether had proven successful in putting the two of them in with those nasty injections.
Well, one of them, anyway.
You see, just as Nick had been put into his bed, embarrassed that the covers had to be put over him once his head was on the pillow(since in his present state he was too weak to do more than barely stay awake), and started to let the nice feeling of at least relaxing in a safe place to recover envelop him, he was suddenly hearing something.
Something most surprising/shocking, not to mention unpleasant and unsettling, which everyone present in the infirmary was hearing, as well.
And everyone out of the infirmary but still in the station, too, for that matter.
Specifically, how Judy, after having kept her eyes shut and mouth silent for quite some time after she underwent her forced injection ordeal at the same damn time that Nick did his, as in since the two were found and brought back to the police station for being put in the infirmary, suddenly opened them and started struggling and talking.
The nurse about to put her into her infirmary bed was astounded and doing what she could to make sure Judy didn't fall out of her hands.
Surely this was because her eyes were now looking as if she were standing in front of the opening gates of hell and she was trying to break free of what she thought was a death trap and as such was scared out of her wits, given what the stuff she was injected with was supposed to do, which was turn her into a coward.
WRONG.
Judy was looking furious and aggressive, and she was trying to get herself out of the hands she was being held by while their owner kept on trying to get a grip on her, which proved all but impossible, and she was yelling: "OKAY, YOU FUCKING PUT ME THE FUCK DOWN RIGHT NOW, YOU PITIFUL-ASS WEAKLING NURSE BITCH! I DON'T NEED YOUR HELP OR ANY STUPID-ASS DOCTORING OR ANY OF THAT OTHER SHIT! I NEED AND WANT TO FIND A FUCKING FIGHT! I AM NOT THE LEAST BIT FUCKING AFRAID OF ANYTHING AT ALL! WHO THE HELL WANTS TO FUCKING DIE FIRST? FUCK CARROTS…THIS BUNNY WANTS CARNAGE FLAVORED MEAT OF ALL FUCKING KINDS!"
The nurse quickly ran over to Judy's bed and dropped her on it, then pulled the covers up while quickly running the pillow under her head in an attempt to calm her down, taken aback not just because anyone else would at Judy's behavior and displaying of ferocity of that sort, but also because she had been told previously what the purpose was of the stuff Judy got injected with by force, and especially since what Nick got forcibly injected with had very much the desired effect.
"Judy, what's going on?!" asked the nurse as the bunny pulled the covers off of herself and threw the pillow aside to the floor, booming after she flung that pillow: "DON'T GIVE ME ANY OF THIS PATHETIC, USELESS, MEANINGLESS SHIT! I DON'T WANT A BED! I WANT BLOOD, BLOOD, BLOOD…AND DEATH! ALL FUCKING CAUSED BY ME!"
Everyone who wasn't in the infirmary before came rushing in, and Chief Bogo said: "What the fuck is going on here?!"
"YOUR IMMINENT DESTRUCTION, THAT'S WHAT, YOU OVERGROWN COW!" Judy roared. "YOURS AND EVERYONE ELSE'S! I'M GODDAMN GOING TO TEAR DOWN THIS ENTIRE FUCKING POLICE STATION! I CAN'T BE SCARED BY EVERY SAW MOVIE AND SIX OF THE DEVIL HIMSELF COMBINED! SO YOU ALL HAVE AS MUCH OF A CHANCE OF DOING THAT AS YOU HAVE OF SURVIVING AGAINST ME! ME AND MY LETHAL WRATH!"
"WILDE!" yelled Chief Bogo, looking at the fox, who he could tell, weakened state or not, was just as surprised as everyone else was, and then he went on: "WHAT THE HELL?! YOU SAID THAT THE STUFF THAT HOPPS WAS INJECTED WITH WAS MEANT TO TURN HER INTO A COWARD!"
As the combined efforts of the buffalo and both nurses in the infirmary managed to pin Judy down to her bed, Nick suddenly realized what had to have happened and said: "OH, MY GOD…Bellwether must have been so eager to use that anti-equilibrium potion on ME that she didn't pay as much attention to the cowardice formula for Judy and so drew a concoction that would go the other route once it was injected."
Realizing that was the only logical explanation and indeed that's what the hell had to have fucking happened, Chief Bogo said: "Okay, Wilde, you've helped us as much as you can in your present state, though we commend you for it being something that can help us a great deal. Now lie back while we find a way to deal with this."
"But…I'm so worried for Judy…!" Nick protested, and Chief Bogo barked: "Then fall asleep so you don't feel said worry."
Nick nodded and then, well, nodded off after putting his head on the pillow, given how eager he became to sleep and he wouldn't be able to stay more than a little awake right now, anyway, and then everyone's attention immediately switched to Judy.
"HEY! WHY THE HELL ARE YOU ALL LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT?! EAGER TO HAVE THE FUCKING HONOR OF BEING THE FIRST ONE TO DIE?!" bellowed Judy. "IS THAT THE FUCKING CASE WITH EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU PATHETIC, USELESS, LOUSY, STUPID CUNTS?!"
"JUDITH LAVERNE HOPPS!" bellowed Chief Bogo, and then Officer Clawhauser said to her: "PLEASE calm down. There has to be something that we can do about your condition, and about Nick's, as well."
Managing to get just enough of a grip on herself so that she was once more, albeit barely, in her right hand, Judy said: "Yes…of course…sorry…this awful chemical…making me into a monster…"
"You think we can't tell?" asked Officer Delgato, and then Officer McHorn added: "But like Clawhauser said, there's no way that there's not a means to help you or Wilde, Hopps."
"We'll find one." put across Officer Rhinowitz. "But in the meantime, you have to find a way to keep that monster Bellwether forced into you under control."
"LIKE I DON'T WANT TO!" Judy snapped, causing everyone to walk backwards fast, but then she sighed and said: "Sorry…it took me again…" while hanging her head in shame.
Suddenly, she opened her eyes widely and went: "Wait…NICK!" to which she was told by Officer Fangmeyer: "Don't worry, Judy. He's okay. He's asleep at the bed to your left. Even though he can barely keep his head up when awake, he's otherwise healthy. Anyway, I would suspect, knowing Bellwether, that she might actually have deliberately made a cure for both of them, but is keeping it with her."
"After all, by all indications, her reason for doing this must be to try and make us bend to her evil will in an utterly foolproof way." Officer Wolford said, and Officer Higgins said: "Let's find a way to contact her…that'll surely give us both the confirmation we're looking for and the key to finding the cure we also seek."
"At least if going by the thinking of what the hell's being signified here." stated Officer Snarlov. "I'll do it." Chief Bogo said.
"Wait…I have an idea…" Judy said, it taking every fiber of her being to make sure she didn't become the engine of destruction that the chemical forcibly injected into her caused her to, well, become again.
"What, Hopps?" asked Chief Bogo, and Judy replied: "You'll make the call…sure enough, and she'll doubtless respond…that she has the cure…but we should give her a little encouragement to give it to us despite how it'll disallow her to succeed in her vile, sinister intentions here…and most likely cause her to get arrested again…with no chance of another escape…given what kind of security will be used to keep her imprisoned after all of this…"
"And said encouragement is…?" asked Officer Jackson, and Judy explained: "Since there's…no way in hell…I'm not going…to become…that scary death machine…version of me again…despite how well…I'm keeping it under control…right now…you should point me…in the right direction…specifically wherever she's currently hiding…"
"So that you can put her life in danger and cause her to have no choice but to give us that cure, give you your half, arrest her and then come back to give Nick his half?" asked Chief Bogo, and Judy nodded.
"Although I would like to say 'absolutely not' to that," the buffalo informed her, "the fact is that desperate times call for desperate measures, as they say, so even though none of us would otherwise even think about resorting to this, we realize it is our best bet…"
"G-good." Judy told him. "But…but hurry…I don't know how much longer…I can contain…this beast of the worst…most extreme kind…I've gotten pumped into me…against my will…"
Chief Bogo nodded and ordered Officer Johnson to get her to his car and keep her strapped down with seatbelts and handcuffed so that, whether she was overtaken by her hellspawn self before they got there or not, Judy would not be able to attack him and thus make sure of it that, by the time she was released, she would be coming for Bellwether.
As Officer Johnson did just that, carrying Judy in a tight grip as so to take no chances and then, as Judy nodded and went: "Quickly…" as soon as she was in the seat of the car where he placed her, using the handcuffs and every seatbelt he could use to keep her strapped down sufficiently, Chief Bogo's call went as follows.
Once Officer Trumpet found out that Bellwether was hiding in a laboratory under a museum's first floor and did indeed have the cure that she had made along with plenty else that she had made, as well, with the help of her special robot, of course, once she'd gotten there and, well, gotten to work, and told Chief Bogo her location and that she possessed the cure among other things, the latter made sure to look up the number for which museum this was and found it along with, well, finding out the specific museum she was in the underground lab of.
Dialing the number for the museum that also would make a phone call in the lab that Bellwether was currently in using the nearby phone in the infirmary, he then put the phone to his ear and waited for Bellwether to answer the phone, which she did in a matter of seconds.
"Hello?" Bellwether asked in a happy, singsong tone of voice, and Chief Bogo replied: "Bellwether, this is Chief Bogo."
"Bogo!" exclaimed Bellwether. "So wonderful to hear from you!"
"Cut the pleasantries." Chief Bogo snapped. "And listen the fuck up…you paid too much attention to your drainage stunt on Wilde and too little to your brainwashing act on Judy. She isn't the coward you intended to turn her into. She's a destructive, vicious, bloodthirsty, nasty, aggressive and ruthless monster who seeks to kill anyone and everyone who she sees."
"What?!" exclaimed Bellwether in shock, and Chief Bogo continued: "Yes, you heard right. In fact, Johnson is currently driving her to where you are hiding, with Trunkababy calling him as so to let him know where that is at this very moment. So, unless you wish to get yourself destroyed, I suggest that you hand Johnson the cure once he's reached your hideout lab."
"No way, no how." Bellwether replied. "I have perfectly good means of defense, and if I need to use them to avert your obvious attempt to ruin my plan, then I will. You are still all going to become my servants, the only difference being that it will now happen in a different way than it was originally going to happen in. Goodbye."
"Dammit! Shit!" Chief Bogo said as he slammed the phone back onto where it was. "We just gave her a heads-up. No doubt she's preparing herself for when Hopps comes to get her as we speak."
"But that doesn't automatically mean that she can stop Judy from getting to her." Officer Delgato suggested. "I mean, what if no one had been holding her down? Look how many of us were and are present here."
"True, and she's found her way around various obstacles before as her normal self." Officer Higgins added.
"Be that as it may, there is just as much of a chance of her making it to Bellwether as there is of her failing and being killed." Chief Bogo said.
Now, we cut to when Officer Johnson got Judy to the museum he needed to get her, and as soon as they'd gotten there, he told the bunny: "Okay, we're here. And there's a special teleportation device that's recently been invented by the ZPD, so I should have no problem getting you into that lab, though the user has to focus on the one they're teleporting and be thinking about where they're going to teleport them for it to work, plus we have to get you unbound and uncuffed and then get ourselves out of this car so that it can be certain to work like we want it to. How are you currently feeling?"
"LIKE I WANT TO FUCKING RAISE SOME HELL, PUSS! STARTING WITH YOU!" yelled Judy, and, knowing that he had to wait until she got back to her normal state of mind again, Officer Johnson had to endure Judy further thundering: "HOW DARE YOU KEEP ME STRAPPED AND SHACKLED DOWN LIKE THIS! YOU THINK THAT I CAN'T FUCKING BREAK FREE AND MUTILATE YOUR ASS BUT GOOD?! JUST FUCKING WATCH ME AS I FUCKING DO IT, YOU PIECE OF SHIT ASSHOLE! YOUR SCREAMING DEATH WILL BE THE MOST WONDERFUL KIND OF START TO MY FUCKING CAREER AS THE FIRST BUTCHER BUNNY, COP OR OTHERWISE! I'LL DRINK YOUR BLOOD, TOO! IT'LL TASTE BETTER THAN CARROT JUICE! LET'S NOT FUCKING FORGET THAT I'M THE FIRST RABBIT CARNIVORE, TOO! IRONIC THAT IT'D ALL BEGIN WITH ME EATING ANOTHER CARNIVORE, DON'T YOU THINK, SOON TO BE DETHRONED KING OF BEASTS?!"
But once Judy was, well, Judy again, she said: "Sorry you had to hear that…hurry up…I'm doing my best…do the deed while the doing is good…"
Officer Johnson nodded and got off Judy's seatbelts and handcuffs, then opened up the door to the driver's seat he was in and got out while Judy opened up the door to the back seat that she was in and got out, as well, Johnson swiftly running around to where she landed and pointing the teleportation device at her, going: "Ready, Hopps?"
Judy nodded and Johnson pulled it off perfectly, teleporting her right the fuck into the lab in which Bellwether hid, subsequently radioing Chief Bogo and saying: "Chief Bogo! Come in! It's me, Officer Johnson! It was a perfect success! I used that recently created teleportation device of ours and got her in! No doubt she's now gone back into monster mode and is tearing her way through the place to find Bellwether!"
"I'd congratulate you, Johnson, but there's a problem." Chief Bogo replied. "Problem?" asked Officer Johnson, confused.
After Chief Bogo explained everything to him, Officer Johnson gasped and went: "No. I did NOT just hear that. I can't have condemned Hopps to certain death."
"We all have." Chief Bogo informed him.
But had they?
Let's find out.
Going around and about through the lab she was now in, Judy, who was now in angry monster mode again, yelled: "BELLWETHER, I'VE COME FOR YOU!"
Of course, Bellwether's defenses immediately went off, since she had designed them so that they would whenever there was danger of any kind, an intruder or otherwise, but it was of no consequence to Judy.
She dodged the laser beams and deflected them with a nearby mirror so that they would nail the cannons that were firing them, she hurled said mirror into a special grid of electricity so that there'd be an explosion that would ruin the generators of that grid and thus make the electricity required for its existence nonexistent and easily dodged guillotine-like blades that came down from the ceiling while she tirelessly made her way to where she could tell Bellwether's lab would be.
Somersaulting over spiky bowling balls and spikes of metal that were shot from the walls in opposite directions, she also leapt her way over and away from a floor concealed flamethrower that was activated whenever something or someone was coming its way in whatever manner, and she ran as fast as she could as so to make it past mechanical presses from the ceiling which were activated in much the same way and intended to crush their target, as well.
Seeing two circular saw blades suddenly spinning from opposite ends of the foot of a stairway and the door she'd pushed her way through and let shut behind her, she leapt over the former circular saw blade with a summersault and landed on the first step, keeping on hopping from step to step, and wisely so, since each and every one of them did everything from burst into flame to cause tall, sharp spikes to erupt to turn to green acid to let loose a tall beam of ice obviously meant to freeze things solid to become the spinning blades of a blender.
Once at the head of the stairs, which she also hopped away from, and wisely so, since it then turned into a poison gas emitter, she looked around and about, going: "YOU CAN'T FUCKING HIDE FROM ME, YOU DECREPIT OLD CUNT! I'LL FUCKING FIND YOU, AND UNLESS YOU GIVE ME MY FUCKING SHARE OF THAT CURE WHEN I DO, YOU'RE FUCKING DONE FOR, BITCH!"
Suddenly, she saw numerous land mines in front of her and a nearby wall opened to show that it was going to let loose a powerful, massive, lethal barrage of radiation, so she jumped back a bit and then leapt forward with all her might, which proved just enough to get her to the other side of where the lineup of land mines were and dodge the radiation barrage that the cannon was unleashing.
In her lab, Bellwether was shocked to see that Judy had made it past so many of her defenses via her computer, which was showing her everything that was happening.
"No, no, no!" Bellwether let loose. "Hopps should have never been able to make it this far! It must be that anger energy her savage form is giving her along with how it hasn't made her at all stupid, even though she's thinking much less like a cop and much more like a beast now!"
Meanwhile, Judy was jumping and diving her way through doors that came out from opposite sides of walls repeatedly, so she wasn't crushed or cut in half like they were intended to do to any kind of invader, and she managed to get out of the way of various explosives that went off continually as she continued her way to where Bellwether was.
Furthermore, she saw what you and me would consider a thermal detonator, and she swiftly picked it up and hurled it through the smoke from the explosions and the crushing in and out doors with all her might before running off as fast as she could, effectively causing all of the previous defenses and weapons and traps and such that she made her way through to be utterly obliterated in one hell of a gigantic explosion, one which was made to spread out to opposite sides so that nothing was left in terms of what defenses and weapons Bellwether bad back from the area Judy was now running from.
Just then, she saw sound cannons to the sides of her from opposite walls, and a huge square that was clearly a light meant to flash blinding light at a victim that would allow the sound waves to nail them, and, since her hearing and eyesight being so acute meant that this would effectively render her helpless, she took a dive towards a small tunnel that she knew concealed some kind of lethal means meant for anything or anyone who crawled through it, so, on the one paw, she got past the blast of light and barrages of sound combo that she heard behind her, but, on the other hand, her best bet was to dive into this tunnel in a way that would allow her to curl up into a ball and roll through it at a quick rate.
And sure enough, when she did just that, it worked, to be sure, but she was more right than she knew before, and that's saying something, because pitchforks came down from the top of the tunnel and running chainsaw blades came up from the bottom, Judy just barely making her way out to the other side of the tunnel and what room it led to so that what would have otherwise impaled her and diced her up failed to do so.
Considering how to play her cards right once she, well, considered that there could be any number of things of any sort in terms of traps, weapons and other defense mechanisms in any number of places, however likely or unlikely, Judy also heard from behind the door that she was looking at: "This…this can't be happening! She should have been made into fried rabbit or rabbit stew or what have you before she even made it halfway here! I must lock the doorway quickly!"
Knowing that she would do what was required of her now or not at all, Judy backed away, ran forward and leapt like she'd never leapt in her life(which is saying A LOT, given who the hell we're talking about here and what the fuck that means), getting the fuck out of the way of the tremendous, powerful, deadly, scary and nasty combo of various guns from the walls, hooks and chains from the ceiling and iron traps from the floor and knocking the door down before Bellwether could reach it with a flying power kick, something that forced the ewe to jump back, which she did just in time to not get hit by the door.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" she screamed in nothing short of petrified, paralyzed fright, and Judy then said insidiously and boomingly: "HI THERE, MUTTON MEAL! DIDN'T FUCKING BET ON ME BEING AS FUCKING TENACIOUS, SKILLED AND SMART AS I AM WHEN MY NORMAL SELF WHILE IN THIS FUCKING STATE, DID YOU? WELL, IT TURNS OUT THAT EVEN MY BRUTAL, SAVAGE SELF CAN FUCKING PULL OFF STUNTS LIKE THAT, AND IT HAS! NOW YOU CAN EITHER GIVE ME THAT CURE SO THAT I CAN FUCKING HAVE MY HALF, AND LATER NICK CAN HAVE HIS, OR YOU CAN TRY AND FUCKING RUN, WHICH WILL MEAN, THANKS TO MY NOT HAVING BEEN GIVEN MY HALF, I WILL DESTROY YOU! NO, NOT DESTROY YOU! ANNIHILATE YOU! I'LL MANGLE YOU GOOD! I'LL EAT YOUR GUTS AND DRINK YOUR BLOOD! FRESH MEAT! NEWLY MURDERED MUTTON! AS SWEET AS YOU FUCKING PRETENDED TO BE BEFORE! I WONDER WHAT'LL TASTE BETTER AS DESSERT…YOUR BRAIN OR YOUR HEART? THAT MARROW FROM YOUR BONES OUGHT TO MAKE A NICE TOPPING FOR IT ALL, DON'T YOU THINK?"
"No, I don't think, dumb bunny." Bellwether replied before she turned to her robot and said: "You are now going to…"
"BLOW YOURSELF UP TO NOTHINGNESS!" Judy went out, and after Bellwether said: "Yes, blow yourself up to nothingness…"
But realizing how the hell Judy had fucking tricked her all of a sudden, she didn't have time to say: "What? NO! DON'T!" before her robot did exactly what she said and indeed blew itself the fuck up to nothingness, with Bellwether no longer having it to aid and protect her at all.
"HELP!" cried out Bellwether as she ran away, but Judy's next words made it clear that she was suddenly her normal self again, though for how long one cannot guess.
"I…made it?" she went. "Yeah…I…I did…" and Bellwether stopped running, turned around and went: "Hopps? You're…normal again?"
"Only for a bit…unless you give me that cure…" Judy replied. "Or would you rather be a once in a lifetime, ended lifetime entrée of rabbit food made of meat instead of vegetables? The choice is yours…especially since the scary death craving monster you pumped me full of could pop up again at any minute now…"
"All right, all right, easy…easy…" Bellwether said, still shaking and terrified as she went to grab the cure, and just as she did, she went: "You know, Hopps, even though I admit I was paying more attention to Wilde than I was to you while making those concoctions, I am still certain that I mixed together everything correctly with your formula, so how could it possibly have backfired? Wait..."
She suddenly remembered that the formula which would have turned Judy into a coward instead of the doomsday machine it caused her to become instead was the yellow chemical, and she recalled the chemical she put into Judy's needle having been red all of a sudden, her not realizing that her greater focus on Nick had made it so that she drew the wrong formula for Judy, since his ivory colored formula was what she was setting most of her mind to due to the lovely thought(for her)of a predator being helpless and barely conscious.
She drew said ivory colored chemicals for Nick and was successful with what she did to him as a result, but the red chemicals were too close to the yellow chemicals for there not to be a chance of accidentally getting the wrong formula for the other needle, which she indeed did, hence Judy becoming so scary, monstrous, berserk, savage, destructive and aggressive.
Having taken hold of the cure just then, she swiftly spun around and saw Judy going: "Hurry…I feel it coming back again…"
Running over as fast as her legs would carry her, Bellwether said: "Now I know…you were supposed to be given the yellow chemicals for what I meant to do to you…but they were contained in what was right next to what contained the red chemicals, and since the red chemicals create rage, bloodlust, destructiveness and aggression, I obviously accidentally drew those for what I'd inject into you, instead."
"So that's it?" Judy asked. "You didn't get the right concoction for my injection? Too much pleasure in getting the right one for Nick's?"
"Yes, that about sums it up, Hopps. But no matter. Once you're cured, I'll be sure to hold you hostage, so that I'll still have succeeded and made it so that your survival and Nick being cured still depends on the surrender of the ZPD. It matters little that you destroyed all of my defenses and kicked down my door. I can always invent new ones of those and/or anything else I'll need to replace and, in the meantime, you'll have come all this way for nothing very soon."
But just then, Judy went into monster mode once more, saying: "CLEVER PLAN! OR AT LEAST IT WOULD BE IF IT HAD ANY FUCKING CHANCE OF SUCCESS FOR YOUR ASS AT ALL, YOU COCK JUGGLING THUNDERCUNT HAG! BUT IT DOESN'T, THOUGH MINE TO RIP THE FLESH OFF YOUR BONES AND TAKE YOUR ASS THE FUCK APART PIECE BY PIECE DOES! IT'S GODDAMN GUARANTEED, IN FACT!"
"GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Bellwether screamed as she ran over to grab a gun that she kept with her on her laboratory table just in case the need for it should arise, which it of course indeed did in this particular instance.
"I'M…I'M WARNING YOU, HOPPS…STAY THE FUCK BACK…BESERKER KILLER MODE OR NOT…YOU ARE NOT BULLETPROOF…AND IF YOU APPROACH ME, I WILL SHOOT…!"
But these words meant nothing to Judy, who said to her: "EVEN THOUGH YOU'RE WAY TOO FUCKING SCARED TO FIRE, LUNCH?!"
This sudden shouting caused Bellwether to, despite how she was pulling the trigger because she wanted to gun down Judy, accidentally drop her gun briefly in a way that made it spin around once she'd gotten a hold of it again and thus, when she pulled the trigger, she shot herself, instead.
Living just long enough to know what she had, well, just done and feeling the disbelief and fury from it that she, well, felt, for just the tiniest space of time, she then fell down dead while dropping the gun.
Seeing the cure near her just as she went back to normal mode again, Judy wasted no time in injecting half of its contents into herself…Bellwether had put the cure in an needle, as well, in order to make it so that what had to be done would cause both Judy and Nick to feel pain like was the case with the other needles, however briefly…and, once she had done so, the evil killer that Bellwether had turned her into by mistake was no more.
Signaling Officer Johnson immediately after she said: "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOH…that feels so much better…I'm not that murderous beast anymore…time to get out of here…" and filling him in on everything that he needed to know, it was none too long before, after him saying: "Affirmative!" he showed up to where she was via that teleportation device of his.
"Hello, Officer Hopps. Nice job. You've got the needle that contains the other half of the cure, I see." Officer Johnson told her.
"That I do." Judy said. "Well, time to get out of here, and it's obvious we shouldn't bother with anything concerning Bellwether…not with how she screwed up so badly in trying to gun me down when I was about to attack as that now eliminated monster I'd just become again, though briefly, that she shot herself to death, instead…"
"True, though this at least ensures she won't be causing any further problems in the future." Officer Johnson stated. "All right, time for us both to depart!"
Using his teleportation device to get them both out of Bellwether's laboratory and back into Officer Johnson's car, and in just the seats each one of them had been in before, it was driven back to the ZPD station at once.
After they'd gotten back in there, Officer Johnson said: "Judy's cured." and told everyone what they needed to know, and, after that happened, Judy said: "Now for Nick. Here." and handed the needle to one of the nurses.
Just after this happened, though, Judy started to feel drowsy, and she was going: "Oh, my God. Bellwether must have designed the cure so that, once Nick and I had taken it, we'd be debilitated horrendously. It'd well incorporate itself into how Nick's getting his equilibrium back would not make it so that he could stand again right then and there."
"Well, Bellwether's dead, so at least we can take comfort in the fact that she no longer poses a threat to any of us or anyone else." Chief Bogo stated.
"Indeed." Judy put across as one of the nurses got her into her infirmary bed so that she could just relax and doze off after all that she'd been through and thanks to how tired she was now.
"Thank you." Judy said just before passing out, and she heard Nick be suddenly woken by how the injection felt and make a small noise of pain before he fell asleep again from the debilitating effects of the cure, though he was glad to learn that he had his equilibrium back despite how he still wouldn't be standing for a while.
Once Nick and Judy woke up, they were back in their apartment again, much to their surprise, and in the bed they slept together in, no less.
Since Judy was the one who got turned into a load of anger, hatred, bloodthirstiness and destructiveness from her injection(even though Bellwether was aiming for it to turn her into a coward), and not an equilibrium lacking, helpless sitting duck, or should I say lying down fox, like Nick was sadly successfully turned into from his injection, she was the one who got up and out of her bed in order to find out what had happened while they were asleep.
"Judy?" Nick asked, and the bunny then said: "Well, Nick, awake like I am, I see. I think you'd best lie down again…after all, you got your equilibrium taken from you, and that's before you throw on how the injection was going to debilitate you like it did me, anyway, so maybe you should lie down for a bit longer while I go and see how we got here, even though that if we had to wind up anywhere after passing out, I'm glad that it was our apartment." to which Nick nodded and lay down again, though it was none too long before he could tell that he wasn't going to be falling asleep again, so he opted for just thinking about the happy times that he and Judy had shared together and how they would continue to do so when they weren't on duty.
Judy took less than forty seconds to find what would give her what she and Nick needed to know, and that was a set of three pieces of paper which made it clear what kind of shape the both of them were in, and that was back to normal with the exception of another part of said shape…which was weak and low on energy despite having no physical damage dealt to either of their bodies.
She could tell these facts immediately upon reading them, and it wasn't long before she could also tell that these were the results of their current conditions that had been found out about by the nurses while they were asleep and then given to Chief Bogo for getting sent to them, which the buffalo promptly did, so that they'd be put there by the mailwolf before either of them awakened.
Moving away from where she'd gotten them, she kept them in her hands while going over into their bedroom, where Nick still lay, until he sat up just a couple of seconds after she got back in there.
"Sitting up again?" Judy asked. "Guess a little energy returned just now, which actually isn't surprising, given how much time has passed."
"Yeah, lots has." Nick told her, to which Judy nodded in agreement.
"So, how are you feeling, Carrots?" Nick asked. "Back to your old dumb bunny self again?"
"Har, har." Judy responded before saying: "But I am back to normal, well, at least to the extent I can be, just like is the case with you on both counts."
Nick chuckled and then he asked: "So, how long do you think it'll be before we're on duty again?"
"You're really going to hate this, Nick, just like I do, but Chief Bogo got the results for our current conditions after the nurses found them out and had them mailed here for us to read, though it ended up being only me who did so, and even though we're both otherwise perfectly normal again, we're going to be needing to take a vacation for two weeks, because in our current states, we couldn't bring down a prepubescent thief half my size."
"DAMN. Those injections really did that bad a number on us?" Nick asked, his eyes opening most widely, and Judy replied: "Seeing as how those results about our health were checked carefully and nothing was overlooked or gotten wrong, plus that cure was just as it was meant to be, given that neither of us has those massive problems that we did before, I'd have to say…yeah."
Nick sighed and said: "Well, lucky thing is, we'll find a way to make the best of it and then kick right back into gear once it's time to go on duty again. Hey, nothing we haven't done before, right?"
"Of course not." Judy said, smiling. "Why ask such an obvious question, you dumb fox?"
"Just wanted to see if you got your wit back, you sly bunny." Nick replied, smiling as well.
THE END
Was this enjoyable?
I do hope so.
Yup, I'm back to my old "Bloodlustful" roots that I'm so well known for once again.
Isn't that great?
