Chapter 6: A competition
Back at Reefside, there was an announcement almost 2 weeks ago, about a competition and all the students, anticipating in the competition and those who were in choir,dance etc. were busy practicing for the competition.*
This was the second day that Principal Randall was missing and there had been no attacks on Reefside either, Tommy was a bit worried but the other rangers, they were excited for the competition and were taking part in it. Conner was busy with his soccer, Kira with the choir,Ethan was in charge of the presentation and Trent was busy making gifts for the judges and guest speakers.
Tommy came to check on Trent and read two very familiar names, he said softly,"Jason Lee Scott and Kimberly Hart" Trent then noticed that Tommy was looking at his sketches which were to be presented as a gift of appreciation for both of them to come for the competition. Trent said,"Yea Dr. O isn't it amazing! I mean I don't think that any other school has ever had a member of UN and a star athlete in school for guest speaking! I can't wait to see them!! And FYI, they are the judges for the competition!" "Wait what!" it came as a shock to Tommy to know who were the judges. It came as a good and a bad shock,it was good because he would get to see his old friends but bad because one of the two was his ex and he wasn't sure if he could talk to her normally at this moment.
He went around the school as if it were a normal day,trying to teach the children who weren't participating in the contest. The day ended on a dull note, everything seemed fine except for the mysterious illness that had struck their principal.
While on his way back to his home, they attacked, which was a part of their plan so that Tommy doesn't understand their real plan. All the rangers were called and they encountered a monster which wasn't all that powerful that it would take them such a long time creating it, Tommy wasn't totally convinced but in Tommy expressing so Conner said,"It was just because we were more prepared that usual because of what you had interpreted! I told each one of you, there was NOTHING to worry about!!" All agreed with him,for show Tommy also agreed but deep down he knew that they won't waste such a lot of time on such a useless monster!
On reaching his home, he searched for Jason on Google, he read everything about him, then he was shocked to know that Jason had been Married for over 8 years now! When he read who he had married, a soft smile curled upon his lips. He always knew that there was some kind chemistry between Jason and her.
