AN: It's the way that I finally sat down and just wrote an entire chapter today. I owe you guys so many chapters, but for now I hope you like this one! Enjoy!

Thank god it was finally fucking Friday.

Logan walked out of his last class of the day and dropped the weight of the week he's been carrying on his shoulders. His classes and the paper had been so time consuming recently he just wanted to relax with his girl. His girl who was due to be here in a matter of hours. Tomorrow was Valentine's Day and he had the whole thing planned out from start to finish. He would finally be able to show his Ace the surprise he had been working on since New Year's. It was a miracle that it fell on the one full day they had together each week.

He had never spent Valentine's day as a couple with anyone. There was Jill, but they were 16 and she was cheating on him. Suffice it to say they didn't celebrate. He knew from Rory that Jess never did anything for Valentines when they were together. And Dean worked nearly every day of the year, February 14th included. That meant it was his goal to make their first Valentines celebration special.

They had reservations at this crappy Italian restaurant they loved where the Husband and Wife end up screaming at each other after 8 (lmk if you remember that from the show lol). Then he would be taking her out on the yacht for the first time ever. He and Colin had talked about doing a double date type night but decided against it, maybe sometime soon just not for Valentine's Day.

They were going to spend the night on the boat, just the two of them. They had been spending a lot of time with their friends lately when Rory was here. Not that he was complaining, he loved their friends and he'd take Rory any way he could get her. But he was looking forward to having her to himself.

Speaking of which, when he finally reached his dorm the whole gang was sitting in the common area. "Howdy," he called to them as he dropped his bag by the door.

"Hey Huntz." Colin was the only one who answered him as the rest were too enthralled in the crappy television they were watching. "You got a phone call while you were out."

"Yeah? From who?" he asked, walking over to the phone.

"I don't know, something about an appointment."

"Colin, I told you to write it down before you forgot," Steph scolded him.

"It's fine, I'll just call them back. Were they the last ones that called?" Logan asked.

"Yeah, it's the last number on there."

Logan put the phone up to his ear and listened to it ring while Steph continued lecturing Colin.

"Comprehensive Dental Health, good afternoon, this is Sarah, how can I help you?"

"Hi, this is Logan Huntzberger, someone called me from your office earlier with a message, but I didn't get it."

"Ok, Mr. Huntzberger, give me a moment and I'll find out what that was about." He waited less than a minute before Sarah came back to the phone. "So it seems you had an appointment on February 28th to get your wisdom teeth removed. I apologize for the inconvenience Mr. Huntzberger, but it seems someone double booked you and another patient. We'll have to reschedule the surgery to another day."

"No that's fine, when can I move the appointment to?"

"Well unfortunately our only opening is tomorrow at 10 a.m."

"Tomorrow? That's it? For the whole month?" He couldn't believe this, not his first Valentine's Day with Rory.

"Yes, unless you want to wait for a cancelation, but that's not guaranteed to happen and it's better to have something like this done as soon as possible."

He wanted to throw the phone at the wall. He purposefully made the appointment on a weekend when Rory was busy. He didn't want something like this to cut into their time together. Him getting mouth surgery and being in constant pain would certainly do that.

"Fine, fine. I'll come in tomorrow."

"Ok Mr. Huntzberger, I'll schedule you for the 10 a.m. opening. Again we apologize for this, we're usually very carefully with our appointments." A lot of good her apology would do him now.

"Yeah, whatever," with that he hung up the phone. He probably hadn't been as polite as he could have but he was pissed. "God dammit."

"What happened?" Steph asked when he practically slammed the phone down on the receiver.

"I have to get my wisdom teeth taken out tomorrow."

"I thought you and Rory were going out on the yacht tomorrow, it's Valentine's Day."

"We were supposed to, but they double booked me or something and tomorrow at 10 is the only slot left." Logan walked over to the last empty seat in the room and flopped down.

"That blows mate," Finn chimed in.

"I guess I should call Ace and tell her not to come, we can reschedule for next weekend." He pulled his cell phone out of his pocket and had almost clicked the 1 on his speed dial before Elle warned him against it.

"Good luck with that," she practically snorted.

"Why?" he sighed.

"You're crazy if you think she's just going to stay home."

"Why would she come? I'm getting mouth surgery, that's not exactly the romantic weekend we had planned."

"Your answer is in your question. You're getting mouth surgery Logan and you think she isn't going to be here to take care of you? Your mad." He didn't think it was so ridiculous for Rory to stay home but Elle just laughed at him again.

"Ok well I'm at least giving her the chance not to come." With that he pressed the 1 and put the phone to his ear. She picked up after a few rings with her usual cheerful hello.

"Hey Ace." Hearing her voice instantly brightened his mood, he couldn't help but smile, even despite the news he had to give her.

"What's up babe? You done with classes?" she asked.

"Thankfully. Have you left yet?"

"Almost, I'm just throwing some stuff in a bag and I'll be on my way."

"Hold off for a second ok. I got some bad news," he told her begrudgingly, not wanting to have to ruin this weekend.

"Oh no, what happened? It's not your dad is it?" she asked.

"No, surprisingly enough it's not his fault this time. I had an appointment to get my wisdom teeth taken out at the end of the month and,-"

"What? Why didn't you say anything about it?" she asked immediately.

"I don't know it just wasn't that big of a deal. But now it is. They had to move my appointment, they double booked me or something. So now I will be getting my wisdom teeth out tomorrow," he said.

"Aw sweetie I'm so sorry. I know you were looking forward to tomorrow," she sympathized with him even though he had been worried about her reaction.

"I'm the one who's sorry, I promised you this big romantic weekend and now we'll have to push it back," he told her. He felt like shit for having to cancel on her.

"Logan don't be, you can't control this. It's no one's fault but your dentist," she joked with him.

"Fair enough, I still feel bad though. I promise we'll do everything I planned next weekend."

"I'll hold you to that. So, what time do we have to be at the dentist tomorrow?"

Elle who must have been able to hear Rory through the phone whispered, "I told you so," at Logan.

"Actually, I wanted to catch you before you left to let you know. You don't have to come this weekend; I'm just going to be in pain and completely obnoxious. It's not going to be any fun Ace." It's not that he didn't want her here, in fact having her here would make it more bearable. He just didn't want to be a burden to her, especially not on Valentine's Day.

"Logan Huntzberger bite your tongue!" she told him very forcefully.

"Excuse me?"

"If you think for a second I'm not going to be in New Haven to take of your obnoxious, loopy ass you're insane. Of course, I'm coming, why on earth wouldn't I Logan?"

"I just thought I'd give you the option," he sighed. "I don't want you to feel like you have to."

"You're my boyfriend, I do have to," she teased him. "But I also want to, I kind of love you."

"I kind of love you too," he laughed.

"Good, I'll see you in an hour."

"I can't wait," he said, unable to shake the goofy grin on his face. "Bye Ace."

"Bye Logan." He heard the dial tone and took the phone from his ear.

"Let me guess, she's on her way," Elle said, smugly crossing her arms.

"Ok you were right." Logan raised his hands in surrender.

"Men are so dense sometimes," Elle said.

"Tell me about it," Steph agreed.

"Rory?" A nurse called her name from the door Logan had gone through a while ago. She didn't know why they were asking for her though.

"Yes?"

"Mr. Huntzberger is just about done, but he's awake and asking for you," she said with a smile, as though it was funny. Rory couldn't even imagine what Logan had said.

"Oh, um ok." Rory stood up and followed the nurse into the back. She led her to one of the rooms where she found Logan laying down in the chair.

"Hey sweetie," she said softly, not sure what to expect.

"Ace," he gasped when he saw her and started smiling. "This is my Ace," he told the nurses in the room.

"So you've said," one of them laughed.

"Oh, we've been chatty huh?" Rory asked him.

"Won't stop talking about you," the nurse who came to get her let her know.

"Lovely," Rory sighed. "Logan hun, you feel ok?"

"I feel great," he said, his voice muffled by the cotton in his mouth. "I missed you but now you're here!"

"I am," she said, taking his hand when he reached for hers.

"Gimme a kiss." She leaned over him and kissed his forehead gently. "Not there, right here." He pointed to his lips.

"Maybe later sweetheart," she laughed. "You've got a mouth full of cotton."

"I know, it's not comfy."

"It's going to be a lot less comfy later babe, enjoy this."

"Do you still love me with cotton in my mouth?" he asked like a 4-year-old.

"Of course I do," she giggled. "I love you very much."

"Why won't you kiss me?" he whined.

"I promise I'll give you a thousand kisses later."

"Pinky promise?" he asked her, dead serious as he offered her his pinky.

"Pinky promise," she told him, entwining her pinky with his.

"I'm gonna count."

"Ok he's all ready to go. Do you need help getting him to the car?" the nurse asked her.

"Um, we'll see. Logan baby can you stand?" Rory asked him. She was apprehensive about this. If he couldn't walk on his own, she'd need help getting him out of the car at Yale too.

"Of course I can stand." He swung his feet around the chair and sat up with a little help. Rory took his hand again to steady him, but he balanced just fine on his feet.

"Ok, just hold my hand and we're going to go home," she told him.

"Mkay," he nodded. They walked out, back to the front and Rory went to the desk to handle his insurance. She had Logan sit in one of the chairs in the waiting room but soon felt him wrap his arms around her waist. He laid his head on her shoulder and slumped against her.

"I'm tired Ace," he said, closing his eyes.

"I know," she said, reaching up to run her fingers through his hair. "We're almost done, and we'll get you to bed."

"I love you." He said it so softly she worried he was falling asleep.

"Stay with me bud, you weigh too much for me to carry you back to your dorm."

"I'll just carry you," he said, clearly not understanding how this works.

"Here you go Mrs. Huntzberger, he's all set," the receptionist gave her Logan's paperwork and insurance card back. Logan probably couldn't spell his own name right now, but he did register that.

"Mmm, Mrs. Huntzberger. I like that," he said in his daze.

"Um I'm just his girlfriend, but thank you for these," she said, taking the papers back and putting them in her purse.

"Oh sorry, I just assumed," she apologized.

"It's fine, it happens," Rory said, laughing it off.

Rory miraculously got Logan into the car on her own. He was cooperative for the most part but kept stopping what they were doing to tell Rory he loved her. He didn't quite seem to know how to walk and talk at the same time yet. She knew he was going to be a little out of it but seeing Logan so loopy was too funny.

He was singing along to every song that came on, even if he didn't know the lyrics. And he kept talking about going on the yacht that night, seemingly having forgotten that was no longer happening this weekend.

When they got back to the dorm Steph, Elle, and Juliet were the only ones there thankfully. Robert, Finn, and Colin wouldn't have made this any easier. Logan only stumbled a bit walking through the door, but he didn't fall, and Rory caught him when he reached out for her.

"Woah, you ok?" she asked him, looking up at him.

"Perfect Ace," he said.

"How'd it go Ror?" Steph asked from the kitchen.

"Hey," Logan said, his muffled voice carrying across the dorm. "That's Mrs. Huntzberger to you."

"Went well I see," Elle laughed at him.

"Oh yes, just marvelously. He is completely out of it. And he keeps asking why I won't kiss him," she told them.

"Why not Ace?" he sighed for the 10th time since leaving the dentist.

"I told you sweetie, later," Rory assured him, before turning to Steph and adding, "At least he can walk."

"Thank god for the little things," she said.

"You need any help?" Juliet asked with a sneer.

"No offense, but not from you. Not while my boyfriend has the IQ of a golden retriever."

"That's for the best," Steph chimed in. "But if you did need any help let me know."

"Husband," Logan said, thinking he was correcting Rory when she said boyfriend.

"Ok, let's get you to bed," she laughed at him. "Thanks Steph, I will." She grabbed his hand and led him to his bedroom. Rory had her boyfriend sit on the bed while she bent down to take his shoes off. They had the fore thought of making sure Logan wore sweats to the dentist so she wouldn't have to change him in this state. Once his sneakers were off, he laid down and she got him under the covers.

"I'll be right back babe; I'm going to put your ice pack in the freezer for when you wake up," she told him.

"Mkay, I'll be here," he mumbled.

She went back out to the common area only briefly to pop the pack in the freezer. It would seriously help the swelling and the pain once he woke up. The girls were watching a movie and Steph told her she and Colin were going out, but Elle and Finn would be here to help with anything. Elle might be slightly helpful, Finn wouldn't be. Rory hoped she wouldn't need any assistance, especially once the drugs wore off.

When she got back to Logan, she got the new cotton to swap out later, again once he was more lucid. "Come to bed Ace, I can't get comfy without you."

"I'm coming, I'm coming, give me a second hun," she told him. She went ahead and changed into sweats too. They weren't going anywhere any time soon and she wanted to be cozy. She crawled into bed with him and as soon as she did, he was on top of her. Logan wrapped his arms around her waist and laid his head on her chest, directly the opposite of how the slept every night they were together. But he was the one who needed comforting today and she wanted to give it to him. She entwined her legs with his and continuously stroked her fingers through his hair like he loved.

"I love you Ace," he said.

"So you've said," she said, kissing his head. "I love you too."

"I want to marry you." Her heart fluttered at those words. Logan often joked about that but hearing the words directly from him, no matter what state he was in, did things to her. She loved this man more than anything.

"You do?" she asked.

"Mhm, more than I want to do anything else. I want to marry you. And I want you to have my kids. I want everything with you." She wished they were having this conversation more seriously, but a 'drunk' mind speaks a sober heart.

"I want that too sweetie," she told him.

"You promise?"

"I promise," she said. "We should get a dog too."

"A big dog. Anything under 50 pounds is a cat and I want a dog."

"Ok," she giggled. "A big dog it is."

"Golden Retrievers are great with kids," he said. She couldn't help but laugh considering what she had told Juliet only moments ago.

"You want a Golden Retriever?"

"I want a dog that won't bite our babies," he said, apparently clarifying his previous statement.

"Well, I agree that's on the list of priorities." She couldn't stop smiling, he was just saying the cutest things. "Go to sleep Logan, you need to rest."

"I am resting."

"I mean it, go to sleep," she said, moving one hand to rub his back soothingly, hoping to coax him to sleep.

He didn't respond this time, but it took a while for his breathing to slow down and for his body to relax. Rory felt herself starting to drift off as well and just hoped Logan would wake her when he needed anything.

"Oh fuck." A low groaning is what woke her up. Opening her eyes, she found Logan massaging his swollen and bruising jaw.

"I guess the drugs wore off," she sighed, sitting up with him.

"They sure as shit did." Rory slipped out of the bed and told him she'd be right back. She grabbed the ice pack from the freezer where she left it hours ago, a bottle of water, and his pain killers.

She came back to him and laid everything out on the bed. "Here, take one of these," she said, handing him a tablet and the water. He promptly did as she said, wanting this god forsaken pain to go away. "Now hold this to your jaw and take the cotton out, you need to put new gauze in."

"What would I do without you Ace?" he asked, thankful for her even if his jaw was killing him.

"Pray that Colin and Finn paid attention at the dentist. Or hire a nurse," she joked.

"So, you're my nurse huh?" he asked suggestively, pressing the ice pack to his face. Even getting his wisdom teeth taken out didn't deter his libido, she should have known.

"Only if you're a good patient," she told him, handing him the new gauze to put in his mouth. "If you're really good maybe I'll get you a Golden Retriever."

"Agh I was hoping that was a dream," he said, falling down onto the bed in embarrassment. Rory fell into a fit of laughter over his anguish. "It's not funny!"

"Do you know how many people you told to call me Mrs. Huntzberger?" she asked through her giggles.

"Rory it's not funny," he repeated. She calmed down enough to crawl on top of him, with her knees on either side of his waist.

"It was adorable, don't be embarrassed," she told him even though she was still grinning. "I was just surprised you had strong feelings about our babies."

"You are not making this any easier Ace."

"I'm here to nurse your health, not your ego," she said, poking his chest.

"They're one in the same," he claimed.

"You're too easy." She laid down on his chest and gently stroked the side of his face that didn't have the ice on it currently.

"Mm, that feels good, keep doing that," he moaned. She continued and switched sides when he moved the ice.

"I love you," she told him.

"I love you too Ace."

"And I want to marry you too," she said, completely seriously this time. "I know you didn't know you were saying it when you said it, but if you meant it, you're not alone."

"You have no idea how happy it makes me to hear that. Even if I can also hear my jaw throbbing right now," he said, smiling at her. She leaned up and kissed his lips ever so gently, not wanting to hurt him.

"That's one," he whispered.

"It's going to take forever to get to a thousand. And do I get extra points for different kisses? You need a better system for this."

"I agree, we'll hammer out the details later, I'm not letting you get away without a thousand though."

"Oh, please don't. You hold me to my promise Mr. Huntzberger."

"Will do, Mrs. Huntzberger." Logan chuckled but Rory just raised her eyebrow at him. "What? I told everyone else to call you that, why can't I?"
