He felt like jumping up and down. Like dancing. He wanted to holler his happiness. But he stood still, barely aware of Ceres glare, and Proserpine's hand on his arm.
"So, um… Proserpine, what do you want to see?"
"After the attack? The utter destruction of the Arias."
"That… can be arranged. It's also completely understandably."
He looked to Ceres. She was glaring at a pillar, refusing to look at Pluto or her daughter.
"Ceres?"
"WHAT."
"Will you join us?"
"NO."
"Please. We could use your help."
"THE. ANSWER. IS. NO."
Proserpine sighed, "Mother, honestly. Stop acting like you're all bent up. I'm happy. Pluto has taken great care of me. Besides, if the Arias escape…"
She let the comment hang. They all knew what would happen. CHAOS. The world in turmoil. But before that, the underworld would fall, causing irreparable damage.
"Fine. But I'll leave immediately afterwards. You obviously don't need me."
"But we have your blessing, right mom?"
"Don't push your luck young lady."
They walked to the armory to prepare.
