Chapter 2: Arrival at Pallet Town.

After a long ride, Tommy finally arrived at Pallet Town.

"So, this is the home of beginning Trainers?" Tommy asked as he looked around at the small houses and neighborhoods.

Sooner or later, he saw Professor Oak's Lab.

"Woah!" Tommy said.

"It's pretty much Pallet Town's landmark. Pretty impressive, isn't it?" said a boy with black hair that had a Pikachu on his shoulder.

"NO WAY! Ash Ketchum, the Alolan Pokemon League Champion!" Tommy said.

"Hey, thanks. Nice to meet someone who saw it!" Ash said.

"I'm Tommy from Gotham City. Would you believe that your win actually inspired me to try to be a Pokemon League Champion?" Tommy asked.

"Cool!" Ash said.

Later, as Ash guided Tommy back to his house to meet his mother, he asked, "So, what Pokemon did you choose to start out with?"

Tommy brought out Zubat, "This. It reminds me of Batman, who I'm a huge fan of." he said.

"Huh, neat." Ash said as they walked up to a blue house.

"Hey, Mom, we have a visitor!" Ash called.

A red-haired woman walked in accompanied by a mime-like Pokemon.

"Well, hello, I'm Delia, Ash's mom." the woman said.

"Hello, Mrs. Ketchum." Tommy said before he brought out his PokeDex and scanned the Pokemon cooking.

"Mr. Mime, the Barrier Pokemon. It can use pantomime to manipulate air molecules and create invisible walls." the PokeDex said.

Later, Mr. Mime served a lunch of spaghetti with Tamato Berries.

Tommy tried it and felt a bit of spice with the spaghetti.

"Spicy!" Tommy said.

"Well, that's to be expected of Tamato Berries." Ash said as he ate some while Pikachu ate from a bottle of ketchup.

"So, what brings you here from Gotham, Tommy?" Delia asked.

"I'm trying to become a Pokemon League Champion, like Ash." Tommy said.

"Interesting." Delia said.

Later, Tommy was ready to be on his way.

"Thanks for lunch, Mrs. Ketchum." Tommy said.

"You're welcome. See you later, Tommy, and good luck." Delia said.

"Let's battle someday." Ash called.

"I'll look forward to it!" Tommy said.
