Chapter 4: Pokemon Emergency!
"Guess we woke up this lousy town." said a woman with long red hair.
"And how dare they act like we're criminals? They shoud welcome Team Rocket!" said a man with blue hair.
"Well, We'll teach them to respect that name." the woman said as they threw Pokeballs.
"Arbok..." said the woman.
"Weezing..." said the man.
"Attack!" they both said as the Pokeballs broke through the Pokemon Center's skylight.
One released a purple snake-like creature while the other one released a purple two-headed creature that released a cloud of smog.
"What the heck?!" Tommy, who was off the phone by now, asked.
"Don't be frightened, little boy." said the woman as her silhouette appeared.
"Allow us to introduce ourselves." the man said as his also appeared.
"Prepare for trouble."
"And make it double."
"To protect the world from devastation."
"To unite all peoples within our nation."
"To denounce the evils of truth and love."
"To extend our reach to the stars above."
"Jessie."
"James."
"Team Rocket blast off the speed of light.
"Surrender now or prepare to fight."
"Meowth, that's right!" said a cat-like Pokemon with a coin between its ears.
Tommy gasped. He recognized the three from their battle on Themiscyra.
"What do you want?" Nurse Joy asked.
"We're here for the Pokemon." Jessie said.
"Well, you're not getting any!" Tommy said.
"Just who do you think you're talking to, brat?" Jessie asked.
"A trio of losers, that's who." Tommy said.
"Talk back to us, will you?! Arbok, attack!" Jessie ordered.
Arbok lunged at Tommy, only for him to dodge and cause Arbok to hit the wall.
"Now, that's just plain wrong! Pokemon aren't supposed to attack Trainers!" Nurse Joy said.
"Nurse joy, are my Pokemon healed?" Tommy asked.
"Yes." Nurse Joy said as she handed Tommy his three Pokeballs.
"Thanks. Listen, I'll hold off Team Rocket. You go get the Pokemon here to safety." Tommy said.
"Okay, good luck." Nurse Joy said as she rushed to the back room.
"All right, Team Rocket, if you want Pokemon, you'll have to fight me." Tommy said before he released his three Pokemon.
"What?! You think you can defeat us with a mere Zubat, Pidgey, and Nidoran?!' James said, trying not to laugh.
"Arbok, Poison Sting!" Jessie said. Arbok launched a string of white needles at them.
"Pidgey, Gust!" Tommy said. Pidgey blew back the needles, causing them to hit Arbok instead.
"Weezing, Sludge Attack!" James said. Weezing readied itself to shoot a blob of sludge out of its mouth.
"Zubat, Supersonic!" Tommy ordered. Zubat used Supersonic, which made Weezing so dizzy that it shot the sludge at his Trainers.
"Now, you have to go against me!" Meowth said.
"All right, Nidoran, Double Kick!" Tommy said. Nidoran leapt in the air and kicked Meowth in the face twice, sending him flying back.
"Little twerp!" Jessie said before she recalled Arbok and James recalled Weezing after another Double Kick knocked it out.
"Well, in that case, we'll just deal with you ourselves!" Jessie said before they all heard sirens approaching.
"We better scram!" James said before they brought ropes down from their balloon and made off on their way.
Tommy glared after them before he thanked his Pokemon for a job well done.
Sooner or later, an officer with teal hair came in.
"We got word that Team Rocket was here. Is that true?" she asked.
"Yes, Officer Jenny, but young Tommy here drove them off." Nurse Joy said.
"Well, then, Tommy, we have you to thank for keeping all these Pokemon from harm." Officer Jenny said as she saluted him.
"Hey, just doing what I can to help out." Tommy said.
