Little note: I am so shocked that EVIL is now part of the Too Sweet gang! :O

Here's the chapter that everyone has been waiting anxiously for. I recommend playing 'Don't Think Twice' by the end. :)

Both girls were unable to speak for a few seconds as a brief period of silence took over the atmosphere between them. How could they even have the ability to speak, when they realized that they had come across the boy whom Kairi had told them about when she explained her true nature a few days ago. In fact, Griselda gave them a clear order that should they come across one of Kairi's friends, they have to report it back so they can meet that person altogether. There were a total of four people who came with Kairi, according to the girl herself and one of them was Sora.

The older exorcist decided that they may need the added strength from the keyblade wielders due to their ability to harness weapons of light in the form of keyblades, and from how they saw Kairi fighting against those so-called 'Nobodies' during that small encounter in the church.

So… yeah, they were having a hard time accepting that they actually met one of the people whom Kairi was looking for.

Their silence reached the point where Sora had been forced to open his eyes, wondering what got everything so quiet. He immediately took notice of the dumbfounded looks on the girls' faces, and he could only raise an eyebrow at the two of them. They were only exchanging each other's names just now, right?

"Uhm… is something wrong?" he asked while tilting his head.

That question was enough to bring back both teenagers to reality. Xenovia was the first between the two to snap out of their trance, gasping loudly as she raised her finger and pointed it towards the boy. "Y-You're—!"

"Ahh! Aaahhh!" Irina was able to react in time, quickly slapping her hand over Xenovia's mouth before flashing an innocent grin at the spiky brunette. "...Y-You're so kind, Sora-kun! That's what she meant to say! Hehe, we should really be getting inside if we're going to eat, right…? Why don't you lead the way?" she said, looking at the burger joint suggestively. Xenovia frowned at her friend and tried to pry off Irina's hand off her mouth, but the twin-tailed girl only shook her head.

Hearing those words were enough for Sora to remind himself that they were supposed to be eating right now. "Well, okay! Let's go then," he waved his hand to gesture for them to follow him as he went inside the joint.

As soon as Sora was inside, Irina let out a sigh of relief as she let go of Xenovia. Once she was free, the bluenette turned towards her fellow exorcist and frowned seriously. "Irina, what was that for? You heard his name, which means that boy is one of Kairi's friends. He needs to know that there is someone looking for him, and we also need his allegiance for whatever we'll be going against." she said, not even caring that Irina was already dragging her inside the place with her arm.

"Our orders were to report back to Miss Griselda when we see one of them, that doesn't involve shouting things out of the blue." Irina shook her head in an effort to explain things correctly to her friend, following Sora to the table where he sat. "You could've attracted attention from other people if I didn't stop you."

"Regardless, we must tell him, Irina. Who knows how long Kairi has been separated from him? It is better for them to see each other now." Xenovia retorted with her frown deepening. Ever since she found out about Kairi being a girl of pure light, Xenovia began to see her as someone she should protect to the death, a decision that only confused both Irina, Griselda, and the redhead herself.

"Trust me, I want to tell him too. But we have our orders, and we have to follow them. Wait until we get back to the church." When she saw take his seat in one of the tables, Irina turned her head towards Xenovia and raised her finger to her lips, and the bluenette could only groan. "Besides, we came here to eat and we're both starving. Just keep quiet about it."

"What were you two talking about?" Sora asked, raising an eyebrow at the two girls who sat dowm on the opposite of the table.

"N-Nothing Sora-kun, we were just thinking of our two other friends who couldn't come here with us!" Irina quickly spoke up with a cheerful smile, while remembering that Griselda and Kairi still haven't eaten a thing ever since they got to this town. They'll have to get something to eat for them once they were done here. "T-T-They haven't eaten too, and… we were actually going to buy something for them as well, but we have no luck so far, hehe…"

Sora's confused expression turned into one that showed delight. "Oh, well if that's the case, then I'll buy something for them too! I can't have your friends going hungry while I'm here!" he grinned.

That caught both girls off guard once again, wondering if the brunette was only exaggerating at this point. Kairi had told them how much of a pure heart Sora had, but they presumed that she was only thinking highly of him. Seriously, there's no way that someone could be that kind… right?

"Y-Y-Y-You don't need to do that…!" Irina stuttered, waving her hands in front of her with a red face while Xenovia stared blankly at the keybearer. "You're already doing so much for us by doing this, there's no need for you to do more! We wouldn't want you to spend so much money for our sake!"

"It's okay, I've been honestly looking for a reason to spend some money and this is the perfect opportunity!" Sora waved off their concerns as he stood up from the table with his arms behind his head. "Anything in particular you want to eat? Or maybe something that your friends like?"

"W-W-W-We're fine with whatever you buy…!" The twin-tailed girl couldn't help but blush deeper when Sora's gaze was directed towards her. She totally underestimated this boy's kindness, and it was overwhelming! Irina had never met anyone like him before, and it honestly scared her since she could tell that he meant every single word that came out of his mouth. She didn't know what to do exactly!

"Alright, just wait here then!"

With that, the boy walked off towards the counter and left the girls at the table, making Irina release the breath that she had been holding in ever since Sora was unknowingly making her heart beat faster even though he was only using words.

"I… I know that Kairi-chan told us about how kind and upbeat Sora-kun is, but wow… I can't believe that all of it was actually true… I'm kind of jealous." she muttered with a playful pout, keeping her gaze at the spiky-haired boy for a few moments before turning her head towards her friend. "What do you think about him, Xenovia?"

"He's just like how Kairi described… I was a fool to expect something less," Xenovia acknowledged before her expression turned serious. "We're telling both her and Griselda about this immediately after we're done here, though I still don't understand why we shouldn't just tell him now and bring him to the church. What if the devils of this town find him first? There is no way we can let someone like him fall into their despicable hands!"

Irina shrugged. "I'm sure he can defend himself against them if they try something. I mean, if Kairi-chan can hold her own against those Nobody-thingies that attacked us, then Sora-kun can do the same thing against the devils if they try to manipulate him into joining their side. Those keyblades that they use are weapons of light too, so there's no need to worry!"

"Maybe you're right," Xenovia sighed in defeat as she remembered a little detail that she read in Kairi's Gummiphone. She learned that the same boy with them right now was a hero in their homeworld, since he was the main reason how the forces darkness of darkness were stopped in their plans multiple times. Someone who was capable of doing what every exorcist dreamed of deserved her infinite respect.

The twin-tailed girl sighed in relief. She had thought that her friend would continue to argue until Sora gets back, but seriously, Xenovia was just so stubborn at times. "Just focus on the food right now, since we're both starving. We'll tell them about him once we get back to the church, and I can only imagine what Kairi-chan will feel when she learns that it was Sora-kun who treated us here!"

Xenovia could only nod at this point, understanding that she had orders to follow, and she would be a fool to go against someone like Griselda. However, when she laid her eyes on Sora once more from afar, she caught sight of an interesting detail that was enough for her to be curious.

"What is he wearing? His clothes are different from the picture of him that we saw on Kairi's phone." Xenovia asked, tilting her head in confusion.

"Huh? What are you—" Irina looked at her partner with a small frown, before she noticed the same thing. Instead of that black and red hoodie with baggy trousers and large shoes, Sora was wearing a black blazer and matching pants, with a white buttoned-up shirt underneath. "Wait a minute… his clothes are different…"

The bluenette continued to stare at the spiky-haired keyblade wielder, all while trying to think of a possible explanation. "What do you think happened, Irina?"

"I guess… he's attending a school around here…?" Irina guessed, realizing that his clothes looked like they belonged to a typical Japanese high school student uniform.

Why would he change his clothes? Hmm, perhaps to blend in with the people of this world since he wasn't from around here? Or maybe because he felt like it?

This was definitely strange… but they were in no place to ask questions about it when they had no idea what was happening. For sure though, Kairi would definitely want to hear about this.

(Student Council Room)

"So what are we going to discuss about, Sona? The last time you invited me here, we talked about my pawn and the truth about him." Rias said as she took her seat on the chair across her rival's desk. This was a sudden meeting that took her by surprise, mainly because she wasn't informed that there would be one beforehand. "I can only guess that this is something of equal importance."

Sona took a sip of her tea and began to speak. "This morning, a member of the church contacted me." That sentence was enough to make it clear that this was a serious matter, causing Rias to frown. "It was an exorcist, and she saw Momo while she was heading to school. What surprised me is that the exorcist wasn't looking for a fight, and instead asked to deliver a message for them."

Rias folded her arms under her bust. "It's been a long time since they've been to this town. Did they tell you what they wanted? I bet this has something to do with the attack on Yuuto a few nights ago."

"Apparently she, along with a small group of people, want to meet with the devil who is in charge of this town. However, that puts us in a confusing situation since we are both in control of this territory," Sona explained as she pushed her glasses up.

"So which one of us will deal with this?" Rias asked, knowing that only one of them can pose as the 'leader' of the town lest they risk the other.

"I was initially going to volunteer in handling this, but I figured that the safer choice would be you should things go awry. I don't need my sister going after the church and starting another war for my sake."

Rias hid an amused smile to herself. She could definitely imagine the Maou Leviathan going crazy over her younger sister being harmed by their enemies. "You have a point. Although, I'm curious. Members of the church want to speak with a devil? That almost sounds ridiculous to think about. What do they want? Hopefully, they're not here to stir up trouble… if they do, they would not appreciate the thought of three Guardians of Light fighting against them, if you know what I mean," the redhead smiled mischievously.

The Sitri girl flashed a small smile as well, knowing that two of those Guardians were her servants. "I understand what you mean, but that is not how Griselda Quarta does things. As far as my knowledge goes, she would rather settle things through a peaceful conversation. She doesn't like to antagonize devils, fallen angels, and other beings that the church considers as enemies."

"Wait a minute… 'Griselda'? The Griselda Quarta who is known as one of the church's best exorcists and fought in the Second European War on the frontlines?" Rias asked in surprise, taken aback with this information. "She's here in Kuoh and wants to meet with us?"

"That's right," Sona nodded. "She's in this town along with three others, two of which are exorcists like her. As for the last one, Griselda Quarta didn't say anything about him. They weren't with her when she spoke with Momo this morning, and so my servant has no idea who those people are. You'll have to see for yourself if you decide to accept this meeting."

The Gremory girl looked silent for a few moments, before she turned towards her childhood friend with a skeptical look. "She really didn't say anything about the reason why she wants to meet with us?"

"Nothing, apart from the fact that Griselda Quarta is expecting an answer as soon as possible, and some hope that you would consider her plea. From the looks of it, this is an urgent matter."

Rias pondered over her options for a few moments before sighing. "Fine, I'll meet with them tomorrow after school. If they're willing to set up a formal meeting with a devil, then the circumstances surrounding it should be serious."

Sona nodded in understanding. "I'll have my familiar inform Griselda, then. I do hope this meeting that will take place goes well and nothing goes wrong."

"That is if they aren't up to something," Rias said with suspicion still lingering in her tone.

(Play - "Kairi")

(Abandoned Church)

"I can't believe you two actually found a place that accepts money from Italy, where did you buy all this?" Griselda asked with some amusement in her tone, as she and Kairi looked at the plastic bag containing two burgers, a packet of fries, and bottles of orange juice that Irina and Xenovia brought back for them.

The two younger exorcists finally came back to the church during the afternoon and it surprised both Kairi and Griselda that they really did come back with something to eat for them. Griselda had doubts that Irina and Xenovia would be able to buy something when they didn't have any yen bills with them, and there was also the latter's tendency to stir up trouble. Kairi was also a bit worried for them that something might go wrong, but she was able to breathe freely now that they were here.

Oh well, maybe this proves that anyone can make such miracles happen, if this counted as one.

"It looks tasty," Kairi smiled as she grabbed the hamburger that Griselda handed towards her. She unwrapped it and began to eat, but not before praying. It was something she learned from Gabriel back in Heaven. "Thanks, you two."

"Ahaha… i-it's not really like that…" Irina laughed nervously, wondering how she should begin her explanation about that person. When she saw Xenovia frowning at her, she knew that she had no choice but to spill it. Taking a deep breath, Irina swallowed the lump in her throat and uttered the truth, "...we're not the ones who bought those for you."

Griselda raised an eyebrow before she could take a bite of her hamburger. "What do you mean?"

Irina grinned and rubbed the back of her head. Wow, for someone who wanted to tell Griselda and Kairi the truth after eating at that burger joint, she couldn't speak clearly about it. This was harder than she thought. "Uhm… y-you see, well… we kinda… ehehe…"

"Irina, you better say whatever it is you want to say. I also have something important to tell the two of you," Griselda planted her hands on her hips and sent her a knowing look.

Xenovia crossed her arms and shook her head before sighing. "I let her do this, but she can't say anything." She'd have to give Irina a little push, then. In times like this, her bold nature was more preferable than her friend's cheerful one. It could be said that they balance each other. "We met Sora earlier, he's the one bought those for you."

That statement alone was enough for Griselda to widen her eyes in surprise, while Kairi suddenly froze to the point that she almost dropped her food. Her eyes also widened considerably and her heart started pounding madly inside her chest. Just by hearing his name, it already had an effect on her and from the way her legs felt that they were about to collapse at any moment, her full attention became directed towards Xenovia. Did she just hear the bluenette right… or was she only imagining things? Kairi pushed back any sign of hope that she had for now, just in case that she her hearing had gone wrong.

"W-What did you say…?" she asked slowly, but there was a ton of emotion that could be detected from her voice. Her eyes became desperate for answers as she felt tears already starting to form in her eyes.

Xenovia looked at Kairi for a few seconds before she turned towards Irina, gesturing for her friend to continue. This alarmed the twin-tailed girl and quickly recomposed herself since she was also taken aback with Xenovia revealing it without hesitation… even though she was already quite used to it.

"Y-Y-Yeah, uhm… w-we met him earlier and… he's the one who bought this food for you…" Irina confessed whilst biting her lip nervously. She took another deep breath before continuing. "Honestly, we couldn't find a place that accepts Euro bills and he was just passing by when we met him… he ended up treating the two of us to… a burger joint, and… ugh, he was so kind, even for me. I should have never doubted you, Kairi-chan…"

Griselda noticed the incredulous look on Kairi's friend, but there was no reason to believe this right away. For all they knew, it was somebody else whom they met. "Are you absolutely certain that the one you met was Kairi's friend? It could have been another person," she asked.

"Pretty sure," Irina nodded as she recalled the boy's most defining features. She tried her best not to blush at remembering all of it. "He said his name was Sora… spiky hair, toothy smile, kind enough to buy something for all of us, and… that's pretty much it. We didn't tell him anything about Kairi-chan when we were with him, because… you told us to report back if we saw one of her friends, not spill out the fact that Kairi-chan is with us."

"I still think we should have," Xenovia voiced out her opinion on this matter.

"While this is an interesting of events, if the two of you really did meet him, then you did the right thing, Irina." Griselda spoke, surprising both young exorcists with her answer. "There's something we need to focus on before we begin searching—" The woman was cut off with the sound of quiet sobbing, and as expected, it was coming from the only redhead who was with them.

Their attention went towards Kairi, who had her head down while she cried softly. No doubt she was feeling this way after hearing about Sora. The three exorcists looked at her with sympathetic expressions on their faces, since they could only imagine what the girl must be feeling right now. Sure, Sora was here in this town but he had no idea that Kairi was also here. Irina felt horrible, since she was the one who made the decision not to tell the boy about her while Xenovia simply went along with it.

She walked closer towards Kairi-chan and looked down in shame. "I-I'm sorry if I didn't tell him about you, Kairi-chan… I understand if you're angry with me for what I did…" Irina spoke in a quiet tone, showing how much she was starting to regret the decision she made.

"That's not it…" Kairi struggled to speak in between her sniffles, which quickly got the others' full attention as they turned to look at her. She then raised her head, revealing a smile despite her teary expression. This caused Griselda, Xenovia, and Irina to realize that these weren't tears of sorrow, but rather showed the happiness that was slowly welling up inside her.

She wasn't sad at all, in fact Kairi felt better than ever. She had a feeling that she was getting closer to finding Sora the moment she stepped foot into this town, and that it would be the first step in reuniting with the boy she loved, but she never expected that it would really turn out to be true. She lost hope several times before getting to this point, and it was thanks to her friends that she never gave up on finding that lazy bum. Even in another world, he's still there looking after her well-being through buying her something to eat, and he obviously didn't even know about it. After all those days of longing for him, she was almost there and she couldn't wait to see him again.

"I-I'm just… happy that… Sora is really here…" Kairi turned to look at the twin-tailed girl, who still looked a bit regretful of the decision she made. "That's already enough for me. You don't have to feel bad, Irina. I'm not mad, because you only did what Miss Griselda told you to do."

"I'm glad." The sad expression on Irina's face slowly turned into a smile as Kairi stepped forward and embraced the twin-tailed girl. Irina wrapped her arms around the redhead, returning the hug while Xenovia and Griselda looked on with smiles on their faces.

"Was that all you were planning to tell us?" Griselda asked the bluenette standing beside her, who was reminded of one particular that she and her partner noticed earlier.

"Come to think of it, we noticed something strange from Sora's appearance earlier. He was wearing different clothes from the ones he was supposed to be wearing." Xenovia explained, which caused Griselda to look confused. That… didn't make sense at all. "According to Irina, he was wearing a school uniform which means that he might be attending a nearby school before we met him earlier."

Kairi pulled away from the hug while she chuckled at the thought of Sora going to school. She made a mental note to tease him about this when they meet again. "That lazy bum… he doesn't like going to school but in this new world, he does? I wonder what's on his mind…"

"School, huh?" The older exorcist pondered for a moment, before she turned towards Kairi and walked closer towards the girl. Griselda had a look that expressed her amusement in response to this new knowledge. "Kairi, you know what that means? There's a big chance that we can find your friend in that school, but we need to have that meeting first. You know about it already. We can just look for Sora afterwards, is that fine with you?"

"I understand, Miss Griselda." Kairi nodded, not losing her smile one bit. It was the direct opposite of her depressed state when he disappeared, and she felt good being able to smile again. She looked at the hamburger in her hand and took it as a sign that Sora was with her right now. "Now that I know Sora's around here, I can wait until you finish talking with the devils."

Griselda smiled pleasantly. She was liking this girl even more with every minute. If she could, she'd take Kairi under her wing and make her a stronger fighter than before but alas, that wasn't what she needed right now. "Your unyielding patience is a rare gift, Kairi. Not many people possess the same. Thank you for understanding."

"Wait, are we missing something here? What meeting? Did something happen while we're gone?" Irina asked in a hurry, feeling that she and Xenovia missed something important while they were out eating.

"Yes, and that's what I was planning to tell you just now. This is really important." Griselda began, and the two younger exorcists quickly paid attention. "While you two were out looking for food, I received a reply from the leader of the devils in this town. They agreed to a meeting with us tomorrow afternoon, and it will take place in the old school building of Kuoh Academy."

"So we'll be finally meeting the devils of this town, then," Xenovia spoke with a little smirk. She couldn't wait to see them rattled and shaking at the sight of her Excalibur, and Griselda seemed to have read what was exactly on her mind.

The older exorcist went closer towards the two teenagers and narrowed her eyes. "Once that meeting is taking place, let me do the talking. I don't want to see you two making any unimportant noise while I'm discussing things with the devils, is that understood?" she asked, putting on her 'scary face' that struck fear into the hearts of many members of the church.

"U-Understood," the two quickly answered with a cold bead of sweat running down their faces. They would never wish to get on Griselda's bad side.

"Xenovia can be adorable when she's like this," Kairi thought with a small giggle as she watched the two teenage exorcists getting warned by Griselda. During her time with them, she found Irina to be somewhat similar to her in personality while Xenovia was a lot more serious and can be a bit intimidating. Despite that, she knew that the bluenette must have a soft side to her and this was one of the few times where she showed it.

Griselda smiled in satisfaction, returning to normal. "Then I guess we understand each other, don't we? Don't forget what I said today, or there will be consequences." Irina and Xenovia nodded again out of fear. "Now get some rest, you two. No doubt you are feeling tired trying to find a place to find something to eat."

(Stop playing - "Kairi")

The following day, almost all of the Gremory peerage were gathered at the ORC clubroom for an important meeting with some foreign faces. Rias told her servants that a group of exorcists would be coming over to discuss something important with her. The group included one of the top-ranking exorcists, which was enough for them to realize that this was something to be taken seriously and be aware of should something off-hand happen.

Yuuto was there, finally deciding to come back after hearing about the exorcists. He was standing near the window, glaring hard at the door while waiting for their guests' arrival. Everyone looked concerned for the knight's current state, as they could clearly feel the anger and hatred burning in his eyes. All they could hope for at the moment was that he won't do anything foolish that involved putting himself in danger.

Surprisingly enough, Sora wasn't at the clubroom yet. He made a call to Rias about an hour earlier and informed her that he would be late for a few minutes because he was volunteering to help Roxas and Xion with some of the student council's duties. Rias let him do as he wished, on the condition that he returns to the old school building as soon as he finishes his task.

The atmosphere was tense in the room, and this was even before those exorcists could get here. All of it was because of Kiba, as he never took his gaze off the door ever since he arrived at the clubroom. Everyone else was doing the same, minue the intensity that Kiba was exhibiting and kept a calm demeanor instead.

Then, the door opened.

A green-haired woman wearing a white cloak and hood made her way inside the room, followed by two other girls who wore the same garment as her. They looked to be teenagers just from first glance. One of them had blue hair with a green fringe, while the other had chesnut-colored locks tied into twin-tails. The last girl looked even younger than all of them, and she was the odd one that stood out. It wasn't just because of her red hair, but rather her pink dress.

Rias and her entire peerage immediately turned their attention to that young girl behind the three cloak-wearing women, with their eyes widening in surprise at realizing who it was. Asia and Akeno even gasped audibly at the sight of her, but kept it to themselves. Even Yuuto, who had a look of rage on his face all this time, now bore a dumbfounded look upon seeing that young girl.

"She's… She's been with them all this time…? H-How did this happen?" Rias thought to herself, realizing that the young red-haired girl was none other than Sora's childhood friend, Kairi. She could recognize that girl just from the clothes she wore, which were the same in one of her pictures in Sora's Gummiphone. Speaking of that spiky brunette, she began to wonder where he was and immediately hoped for his arrival at any moment now. "Sora, where are you?! This is a matter that requires your presence!"

"It looks like we made quite the impression on these devils," Xenovia smirked at the gobsmacked expressions that formed on the devils' faces, only to look away when Griselda sent her a scowl.

After making sure that Xenovia was now behaving, the woman then turned towards the people before them, particularly the one with crimson hair sitting behind her desk. "Thank you for taking the time to meet us. I know this is out of the ordinary for both our parties, so I will not make this more difficult than it needs to be. We have much to discuss." Griselda then removed her hood and revealed her face to everyone. "Allow us to introduce ourselves. My name is Griselda Quarta."

Irina smiled and removed her hood as well, before waving her arm. "Hi! I'm Irina Shidou!"

The bluenette standing to the right of Griselda nodded politely, although it could be seen that it was forced. "Xenovia."

The young redhead behind Irina and Xenovia then stepped forward with a smile of her own, looking to introduce herself to everyone. Even though Xenovia told her to be wary around devils, she didn't look affected at the very least. "It's a pleasure to meet all of you, I'm—"

"You're Kairi, right? Sora's childhood friend," Rias cut her off while raising an eyebrow.

Now that was something that caught the exorcists off guard. Griselda and Irina were both surprised that a devil knew exactly who Kairi was, and Xenovia felt the same way before raising her suspicion around these people in the clubroom. Somehow, this devil knew about Kairi as well as Sora, and it was safe to say that everyone else here did as well… but how? Did they somehow knew about them through an informant? Or perhaps through something else?

Kairi was the one who taken aback the most, visibly surprised that someone, let alone a devil, knew who she was without her even saying it. She wasn't suspicious of anything, although she was curious of how Rias Gremory knew about her. Hmm… assuming that Sora also went to this school as a student… maybe he told the devils about her?

"Y-Yes, my name is Kairi but…" Kairi spoke in a confused tone. "...how did you—?"

Her words were cut off when the door burst open and a certain spiky brunette made his way inside.

"...Hey guys, sorry I'm late! Roxas was being lazy and I had to do everything that he was supposed to do, and…" Sora exclaimed while taking deep breaths, which meant that he ran all the way to this place. He then stopped in his words when he noticed another group of people inside the clubroom and at first glance, they were completely new to his eyes. "...oh. I… I guess I was really late this time, huh…?" he said with a nervous grin.

Irina and Xenovia froze momentarily upon hearing his voice, before they quickly turned around to see if it was really him. Their eyes widened even more when they saw it really was Sora, leaving them to wonder what he was doing here. They momentarily forgot about Kairi at the moment, and for good reason. This was supposed to be a meeting between them and the devils of the town! A human like him had no business here!

The twin-tailed girl found the strength to speak before her partner. "Sora-kun? W-What are you doing here…?" she asked, frowning in confusion.

This surprised the devils in return, especially Rias. An exorcist knew about Sora? How did that happen? The boy never told her anything about meeting a member of the church, unless he didn't know she was. Rias already made a mental note to give her pawn another scolding after this meeting about interacting with exorcists and priests, but not before finding out how Sora met this girl.

Sora's nervous expression faltered as he now took notice of the two girls whom he met yesterday, and he could remember them clearly. To add to that, they haven't changed their clothes at all from how he last saw them. His eyes widened as he realized the scenario he was in, especially the context of whom he was expecting to come over to the clubroom.

"Irina… Xenovia… y-you're the exorcists that we're supposed to meet today?" he asked, while also realizing that he just made a big mistake. As far as he knew, the only other people who would be coming over to the clubroom were a group of exorcists, so… this was surprising, to say the least. Rias had told him to never interact with any members of the church after the issue with Asia, and yet he still did.

Only now, it was with these two.

Unfortunately, Sora's question only led to a deeper state of confusion for both Xenovia and Irina. Why was he speaking as if he was one of the devils here in this clubroom? That can't be, right? They could clearly sense that he was a human, which already sets him apart from the other people here. Even Griselda, who was equally surprised at seeing Sora in this place, was now confused. It's as if the boy knew about the devils here… but how?

(Play - "Dearly Beloved")

Howver, in the midst of all this confusion, there was one light that shone brighter than everything else. The moment she heard his voice, Kairi slowly turned around and finally came face-to-face with the lazy bum that she was searching for ever since his apparent disappearance. Her eyes widened remarkably at seeing his face again; he wasn't a picture on her phone, nor was he a memory that somehow came to life.

Sora… he was really here. And he was just in front of her.

All the praying that she had been doing ever since Gabriel taught her how, it was all worth it. Every night, she would pray to God about being able to see Sora again, no matter what. She put her utmost faith in the Lord, just like how Gabriel does and this was the result of that faith. She never imagined that all her efforts would actually bear fruit. Despite the smile that was forming on her face, Kairi couldn't stop the tears that were forming in her eyes.

"Sora…"

While he was internally panicking at the fact that he went against Rias' orders once again, Sora was still able to hear the next voice that spoke, and he immediately recognized it due to how familiar it was. This led to him going rigid in complete shock, while slowly turning his gaze to the other redhead inside the room. His eyes widened as he locked eyes with the girl who has been a part of his life ever since they were kids.

Everything else didn't matter in his mind right now. He temporarily forgot about Rias and his friends, Irina and Xenovia being exorcists all along, the meeting that he was supposed to attend at this very moment, all being replaced with only one person. Only Kairi was in his mind right now, the girl whom he had grown worried about ever since he knew about her landing in this new world. He hoped for her to be safe from harm, cried for her to be away from danger, and more… now, she was standing just in front of him.

"K-Kairi…"

For the two keyblade wielders, everything else didn't matter at the moment. They didn't even notice that all pairs of eyes inside the clubroom were directed towards them. Their minds were only filled with thoughts of the other while they slowly made their way towards one another, with their rate of their breathing picking up as though they were desperate to get to each other.

No one could blame them for that.

"Sora!" Kairi cried as she burst into tears, lunging forward as soon as she was within distance and throwing out her arms.

"Kairi!" Sora exclaimed in return, catching the girl perfectly and wrapped his arms around her in a very tight hug. Kairi had her arms around his neck and returned the embrace while burying her crying face into his neck.

The impact caused the two to fall to the floor with a thud, but Sora didn't care. The only thing on his mind right now was Kairi, and he honestly wanted it to stay that way for as long as possible. The questions can come later, because he wanted to savor this moment as much as he could. He gritted his teeth and willed himself not to cry, although that was becoming increasingly harder by the second. His hand went up to her back and brought her even closer towards him, afraid that Kairi might go away just after seeing her again.

Kairi cried into the crook of Sora's neck, letting out all the built-up emotion she had ever since he disappeared that day in the Destiny Islands. All the tears, the sorrow, and the sadness she felt upon him fading away into the wind… she was letting it all out again, but in a good way. Although she was happy ever since finding out that Sora was really here in this world on this very town, it could never measure to how she felt right now, when he was now here in front of her… or rather, underneath her. She wrapped her arms around Sora tighter, showing that she was also afraid of him leaving again.

Despite the massive state of confusion that took over the whole clubroom earlier, the people that were currently present couldn't help but smile upon seeing the two childhood friends finally reunited after being separated by different universes for a long time. They temporarily forgot about what was supposed to be taking place right now, and for good reason.

Rias and her servants knew just how much it meant to Sora to be able to see his friends again, and they first saw it when he reunited with Roxas and Xion about a week ago. From how he reacted when he found out that Kairi was also in this world, the young brunette's actions right now were completely justifiable. Even Yuuto haf forgotten about his anger for a moment, as a smile slowly formed on his face out of happiness for his friend.

The three exorcists looked at each other for a few seconds, before smiles all adorned their faces as they turned back to the two keyblade wielders in the midst of their embrace. During the short time that they got to know Kairi, they knew that the red-haired girl wanted nothing more than to be together with Sora once again, because he was the only person who could fill up the void in her heart which was created when he disappeared. They had no idea what Kairi must have went through after being away from him for so long, and she was also known as a Princess of Heart at the same time.

To have the most important person be taken away from a girl of pure light, it was almost horrifying to think of. Now, they could safely say that she was also a girl who didn't know how to give up. There were many times that she lost hope but in the end, the people around her would give her encouragement and determination to keep on moving forward.

It is only rightful that a girl with a pure heart and soul would be rewarded by the Lord for her strong, unyielding will.

After what seemed like an eternity of simply embracing the other in tears, Kairi finally pulled away slightly so that she was staring directly into the eyes of the boy underneath her. In spite of the wet marks forming in her cheeks, Kairi still had it in her to smile in happiness, now that she was finally with Sora once again.

The boy whom she loved more than anyone else… was with her once again.

In return, Sora felt like he was the worst person in the world for doing this to Kairi. Of course, he knew that she was only shedding tears out of happiness that they were back together but still, the reason for her crying was because of him. Sora felt like he had done something terribly wrong, and he would forever live with the guilt that came with it. He had no idea what Kairi felt when he disappeared from his universe, but it looks like these tears were a clear sign of it.

A look of regret washed over his features as he locked eyes with the girl on top of him. Sora slowly raised his hand to cup her wet cheek, while trying his best not to cry as well.

"Kairi… I-I'm so—!"

In a move that shocked everyone inside the clubroom, including Sora himself, Kairi quickly leaned down and pressed her lips against his.

And there we go. 20 chapters after she made her first appearance in the DxD world, Kairi has finally reunited with Sora. Yay! Hope you all like how I handled it. Originally, I was planning to have their reunion at the Peace Treaty of the Three Factions, but then I came up with a plan on how to involve Kairi in the Excalibur arc. Oooh, and lookie here. She just kissed Sora in front of everyone else! Heh, she wasn't kidding about confessing as soon as she sees him again. My SoKai heart is squealing out of happiness. However, this will surely cause a reaction from Sora's… ehrm, 'future harem', hahahaha. Next chapter should be interesting, since we're going to continue from where we left off here.

Just a reminder in case you guys have forgotten. Irina and Xenovia have no idea that Sora is a devil because his light nullifies his devil aura. That's why they were confused when he showed up in the clubroom that was apparently filled with devils.

Goodbye… and good night! BANG! *too sweet gesture*
