Chapter 1: Canon Characters:
This page contains information on all canon characters that have made an appearance in this AU. While most of them exist in some state or form in this story, only characters that have appeared at least once on-page are mentioned here. Therefore, this doesn't mean that other canon characters don't exist.
For e.g: one can assume with a fair amount of certainty that Misaka Mikoto exists in Academy City despite her not being mentioned in the story at all.

Unlike Academy City, there exists no standard magic measurement system in TOARU. As such, for the sake of this list, the magic side has been categorized into following based on their net (top) destructive output.
Saint-Level: Saints are superhuman monsters with a body constitution similar to the Biblical Son of God. As such they possess [Superhuman Strength and Endurance] with [Supersonic Speed and Reflexes.] However, in this list, anyone with these qualities will be considered to be at this level irrespective of whether they are actual Saints or not. Borrowing VS Battle terms to make an analogy, these people would be somewhere between 8-C to 6-C.
[E.g: A sufficiently strong magician can be categorized a Saint without actually being one.]
Guardian-Constitution: They are the same as Saints, but are capable of city-level reality-warping (Between 8-C to 6-C).
Ranked-Saint Level: Only 20 Ranked Saints can exist at once across the entire world. As such the strength of these 20 are leagues apart from other unranked ones (Between 6-C to 6-A)
However, in this list, any magician capable of matching a ranked Saint will be considered to be at the same level as well.
Above-Saint/ Angel-Level: The powers of a normal angel manifested in lower dimensions. (Between 6-A to 4-C)
Archangel- Level: The name explains itself. (Between 4-C to 2-A)
Magic God Level: The name explains itself. (Between 2-A to High 1-C)
Secret Chief Level: The name explains itself (High 1-C to 1-B). It is also called "Ancient-God Constitution" as all Secret Chiefs are Ancient Gods.
A Level 5 by this system will be somewhere around Saint Level (Meltdowner) to Archangel Level (Accelerator) based on pure strength. Level 6, I assume, will touch Magic God territories.
However, it is near impossible to make accurate comparison between the two systems. So, the Science side will use their regular Level Systems.
Similarly, there are three disciplines in use throughout the magic society:
Magic: It is the name given to the power to defy science and run counter to the known laws of physics.
Magick: It is the name given to the power to defy logic and causality.
Telesma: It is a power that emerges from the LIMBO located outside the Tree of Life. It is best to think of it as a higher-dimensional power.

Name: Kamijou Touma.
AKA: The Imposter God, the Purifier of God and Slayer of Demons, the Unworthy Savior, the Fallen Legacy of Science, Yaldabaoth— the False God.
Age: Appears 16 [Actually far lower.]
Eye color: Black.
Hair: Black, spiky.
System: Science and Magic.
Personality: Stoic and cold, monotone yet heroic.
Clothes: Casual wear.
Summary:
A denizen of another world and born under most peculiar circumstances, Kamijou Touma is an artificial human bred with one specific purpose.
However, as this "purpose" of his creation proved too overwhelming for him, he ran away.
The result of this action was the utter destruction of his world.
Now reduced to be the last of his kind, as he sat alone in the smoldering ruins of his dead civilization, he would be "rescued" by an eccentric Saint and Witch duo from a different world.
Once again tasked by fate to save this "new" world (one oddly identical to his last one) from impending doom, Kamijou Touma embarks upon a journey.
Fueled by his desire to seek atonement for his sins, he harbors only one wish— to redeem himself by dying for the sake of humanity.
The only problem is that he discovers his "heart" somewhere along the way.
Kamijou Touma is thus a monster who, though human by birth, was forced to renounce his humanity, and now desperately wishes to reclaim it.
Abilities/ Powers:
Kamijou Touma is a distinct individual who is able to harness both magic and science. As such, he possesses abilities from both systems:
Scientific Abilities:
1) [Healing]: This is the power Kamijou Touma was born with. [Healing] provides him with immense regenerative abilities. It is an ability powerful enough to reattach lost limbs in minutes or regenerate them over time. It is usually passive, but it can focused upon to enhance its effectiveness. It is this power that allows him to use magic like a normal magician despite being born as an esper.
2) [Biokinesis]: This is most powerful scientific ability Touma has. With this, he can manipulate his own body from within down to the cellular level. Therefore, he can control his own metabolic processes to synthesize various chemicals as per a situation's requirement. It is this ability that helps him to turn his body into a mobile laboratory capable of doing all sorts of advanced stuff like reverse-engineering poison or synthesizing sedatives and anesthesia.
In combat, however, this ability can boost his physical strength and speed to near superhuman levels [aka Imitate: God of Strength— Kratos]. However, its real power is its ability to "Imitate." With "Imitate," Touma can replicate all physical process (like firing of neurons, etc) of another esper's body, allowing him to mimic their powers indefinitely and with great precision.
3) [Pyrokinesis]: This is the first ability Touma imitated. Having slowly learnt to control the powers of fire, he can wield it with a Level 4 proficiency. His [Imitate: God of Fire— Surtr] is able to reach Level 5 in terms of destructive damage.
4) [Electrokinesis]: This is the second major ability Touma learned to imitate. By the time the story begins, he is already a Level 4 Electromaster. However, his [Imitate: God of Thunder—Indra] albeit being called borderline Level 5, still pales in comparison greatly to the destructive energy output generated by a serious Level 5 Electromaster (like the Railgun.)
Therefore, he is a MULTI-Esper that can manipulate electricity and fire. He was originally created to master all esper abilities to the realm of SYSTEM, but the procedure never saw completion.
Magical Powers:
Ability to use magic freely: Touma is one of the very few espers who can use magic freely and get away scot-free. Using magic for espers is like playing Russian roulette with a loaded gun, and as such the usual aftermath is not very pretty. However, since Touma's [Healing] causes him to bypass these restrictions, it allows him to use magic with very less risks. This is because all the damage magic causes in his meridians is restored passively by [Healing].
Magical Powers: He can process mana and channel them. However, his magical reserves are very scant even in comparison to an average magician. Therefore, he merely uses his magic to boost his scientific abilities even further.
[God of Strength: Kratos]: Touma uses his limited magic to amplify the strength of his [Imitate: God of Strength— Kratos] into [God of Strength: Kratos]. With his abilities now amplified at least a dozen times, he becomes capable of dealing strikes capable of splitting a city apart with shockwaves alone or move at supersonic speeds.
[God of Fire: Surtr]: In this mode, Touma uses his limited magic to boost his Level 4 Pyrokinetic ability [Imitate: God of Fire— Surtr] to Level 5 levels.
[God of Thunder: Indra]: In this mode, much like the others above, he elevates his Level 4 [Imitate: God of Thunder— Indra] to a true Level 5 level using magic.
[God of Speed: Hermes]: This is a hybrid-mode that Touma designed by combining two of his previous modes [God of Strength: Kratos] with [God of Thunder: Indra]. This allows him to greatly amplify his already supersonic speed by at least a magnitude.
Magic Name: As he is a magician, he can possess a magic name. A magic name is the purpose a magician lives for. Touma's magic name manifests as the power to forcibly topple overwhelming odds. As such, the greater his opponent's odds of winning, the more powerful he becomes. In this stage, he becomes unbound from the realms of physics instead relying upon the strength of his willpower/ imagination to fight.
Immense Willpower: He possesses willpower immense enough to let him maintain consciousness in AYIN.
After his ascension to Adam-Kadmon, he retains all his abilities, except on Archetypal levels. As an Archetype, he substitutes the use of mana with Ein Sof, like all others.
Equipment: The Joyeuse.
Power Level: Around 8-B originally, all abilities boosted to 6-C with Magic, 3-A with his magic name, 1-B as an Archetype [EoS Book 1 E1], 1-A as Yaldabaoth [EoS Book 1 E2]
Appearance: Canon Appearance.
VA: Canon VA.
Name: Kanzaki Kaori.
AKA: The Saint from the Far East, The Commander of Necessarius and the Church's Armies, the Fallen Saint.
Age: 19
Eye color: Similar to canon
Hair: Similar to canon
System: Magic.
Personality: Straightforward, staunch and stalwart, not hesitant to dirty her hands for mankind's greater good.
Summary:
Kanzaki Kaori is a ranked saint that hails from the island nation of Japan.
Once naïve to think she could save everyone irrespective of friend or foe, Kanzaki Kaori was forced by fate to commit the ultimate taboo— magistricide.
Her nature changing greatly as a result, she was no longer innocent to the ways of reality.
Now the stanch commander-in-chief of the unified Church's armies, she won't hesitate to get her hands dirty to get things done for the greater good of humanity.
She spearheads the Necessarius and is tasked with the security of St. Maurice. This makes her and her forces the last line of defense for humanity.
In the Academy, she masquerades as the Public Discipline Committee President (which is just a public front for Necessarius), and spends most of her time in her office weathering the storm of magical issues arising all over the globe.
Though labelled stubborn and hot-headed by her peers, deep inside Kanzaki realizes that one must always formulate a plan before any battle.
It is just that she believes that courage and willpower are still the key to victory when, despite a carefully organized strategy, the odds of defeat remain exceedingly high.
Clothes: Casual wear (Always prefers asymmetrical clothes)
Abilities/Powers:
Ranked Saint-level powers: Standard Saints have superhuman speed, endurance, reflexes and strength, and Kanzaki Kaori is one of the twenty strongest Saints in the world.
She is not the leader of Necessarius merely in name, she has the ability, experience and power to back it up also.
Her strength, flair and charisma has led her to be greatly admired and looked up to by other magicians (including Saints) from all walks of life irrespective of their factions and allegiances.
Weapon Proficiency: While she can dispatch an armed Saint or two with nothing but her bare hands, it is with her two weapons— Muramasa and Masamune— that she becomes truly fearsome.
With Muramasa she gains the power to forcibly inflict instantaneous death upon her opponents, while Masamune grants her the power to forcibly immobilize her opponents via instant crucifixion.
She once possessed a Magic Name— Salvare000. But she no longer uses it. The same goes for her "own" blade— Shichiten Shichitou. As such, she is incapable of exercising her true powers.
Yet, despite the majority of her power sealed away behind a wall of guilt, she is still one of the strongest people in the world.
Equipment: The Muramasa and the Masamune (currently), Shichiten Shichitou (former), Hauteclere (temporarily).
Power Level: Around 6-B [Is one of the strongest Saints.]
Appearance: Canon Appearance.
VA: Canon VA.
Name: Laura Stuart.
AKA: Coronzon, the Demon Lord of the Abyss, the Ancient God of Da'ath.
Race: Ancient Demon/ God (Secret Chief)
Age: Appears in her 20s (Real Age: Inapplicable as she predates the Genesis and was born before the concept of time existed.)
Eye color: Similar to canon.
Hair: Similar to canon.
System: Magick and Magic.
Personality: Adaptive, changes personality from cold-hearted, calculative master manipulator to an innocent, kind and clumsy airhead.
Clothes: Similar to canon (a beige habit).
Summary:
As one of the leaders of the Church and the Archbishop of the Anglican Communion, Archbishop Laura Stuart is one of the most influential people not just in St. Maurice but the entire world.
Possibly owing to her secret identity as the Divine Demon Coronzon, the Archbishop comes off as an incredibly contradictive existence.
Even her demeanor is incredibly fickle, for she is capable of changing her personality from a klutz to that of a manipulative mastermind at the drop of a hat.
With lack of opposition and her position of power completely consolidated, she now rules as a de-facto ruler of the magic society.
She has taken up residence within St. Maurice's Archbishop's Chambers, which also doubles as the Academy Principal's Office.
So far… the real motivations behind her actions remain unclear.
Abilities:
Magical Proficiency: Magic is the power to defy physics. And as the Archbishop, Laura is a very powerful magician.
However, her real power is sealed normally.
Ancient God Constitution: As Coronzon, she is the master of Da'ath and its mandala. Therefore, she possesses the constitution of an Ancient God [or Demon Lord, in her case]. As a Secret Chief not only can she manipulate entire cosmologies in the Abyss at her leisure but also interact with other sephira/ qlippahs as if they were physical, tangible places. Like all Secret Chiefs she is proficient in Magick [the power to ignore causality.]
Existence Compression: This technique is unique to her specifically. Worlds are simply incapable of containing the entirety of a Secret Chief's existence due to its enormity, yet Coronzon is capable of accomplishing such a feat. This makes her one of the only Secret Chiefs capable of compressing her existence to enter a world physically herself.
Immortal: As a Secret Chief, she is immortal. Her avatar/ manifestation can be killed, but she will simply reform over time as long as her concept of "Contradiction" exists.
Contradictory Existence: She's the only Secret Chief that governs a different attribute that her mandala. Da'ath governs "comprehended/ intuitive knowledge" while its master governs "Contradictions." This sort of rift is unseen among the Secret Chiefs.
Equipment: The Flaming_Sword.
Power Level: High 1-C [Is a Secret Chief], Around 6-C [limited to lower levels due to self-imposed restriction for not causing the destruction of the world.]
Appearance: Canon Appearance.
VA: Canon VA.
Name: Aiwass.
AKA: Rahab, the Stooping Dragon of the Revelations, The Leviathan.
Race: Ancient God (Secret Chief)
Age: Inapplicable as he predates Genesis and the concept of time.
Personality: Aloof, carefree, craves entertainment, jovial, friendly.
Summary:
As the ancient being that commands the raging Qlippothic Abyss, Rahab takes upon the form of a colossal dragon-serpent.
Much like his brethren, he is unable to enter worlds due to his size, and must rely on probes to relay him information.
As he governs the "scientific" aspect of the Abyss, he is only able to manifest probes in the most advanced of scientific worlds.
He is the Stooping Dragon of Revelations, and is said to one day "consume" both the Trees in existence.
Abilities:
Ancient God Constitution: As the Stooping Dragon, he is the master of the Qlippothic Abyss. As such, he possesses the constitution of a Secret Chief. Therefore, not only can he manipulate entire cosmologies in the Abyss at his leisure but also interact with other sephira/ qlippahs as if they were physical, tangible places. His Secret Chief constitution makes him a master of Magick as well.
Like any other Secret Chief, his true form is immense enough to shatter the world with its presence alone.
Apart from the standard-issue Secret-Chief powers, Aiwass is capable of:
Oblivion-manipulation: He finds home in the nether of the Qlippothic Abyss, and can warp it to suit his tastes.
Technological Manifestation: Rahab is dependent on the "scientificity" of a world to manifest his probes [avatars] in it. As such he cannot manifest in purely or mostly magical worlds.
Immortal: As a Secret Chief, he is immortal. His avatar/ manifestation can be killed, but he will simply reform over time as long as his concept of "Ingenuity" exists.
Power to establish new Trees: As both the Master of the Qlippothic Abyss and the representation of "Ingenuity/ Creativity" it is from him that the power of establish "artificial" or extra Trees is derived. This is a domain that is unique to him, and only those chosen/ acknowledged by him can do it.
Power Level: High 1-C [Is a Secret-Chief].
Name: The Knight Leader.
Age: In his thirties.
Personality: Charismatic, diligent, strong, and helpful. Very respectful to both his peers and subordinates.
Summary:
As the Leader of English Knights' Order and the Head of Security to the British Royal Family, the Knight Leader is an incredibly charismatic personality.
He visits St. Maurice once to convey the "Queen's Gratitude" towards the laboring crusaders.
However, despite his aristocratic upbringing, he is very down-to-the-earth. He is also an excellent cook as demonstrated when he prepares delicious stew at the Necessarius dorm.
He also serves office as England's Master of Horse.

His abilities aren't shown, but he should possess enough strength to maintain his position as the leader of English Knights, and should be comparable to Kanzaki Kaori, the leader of Necessarius.
