Chapter 2
Author's POV
Hey, my little Buggettes and Kitties! I know, the song makes this chapter long. But I needed to share it. I needed to show everyone that it existed. Also, it's been stuck in my head…
Now… On with the story!
Adrien's POV
I was worried for Marinette. What if she falls into acoma and loses her memory, too? She shouldn't be here. She should be at home, resting. I decided to help her get better.
She started looking at me weird and I realized I was staring at her. "Uh, sorry. I just, uh, blanked."
Marinette's POV
After school, I decided to play Super Smash Bros Ultimate. I put the game card into the switch and turned it on. Now to open the application. The Super Smash Bros Ultimate theme played.
Colors weave into a spire of flame
Distant sparks call to a past still unnamed
Bear this torch against the cold of the night
Search your soul and reawaken the undying light
On that day, when the sky fell away
Our world came to an end
In our eyes, did a fading sun rise in the dark?
Glimmering shadows
Silence grows, in the spaces between
stretching out beyond time
Rising up, as a chorus of souls find a voice
flickering through the void
These little sparks, cling on to life,
everyone caught in the struggle
And then the storms of change, they fan the flames
scattering ashes to the wind
Every soul contains a whisper of light
gleaming faintly as it dwindles from sight
No escape, no greater fate to be made
In the end, the chains of time will not break
Colors weave into a spire of flame
Distant sparks call to a past still unnamed
Bear this torch against the cold of the night
Search your soul and reawaken the undying light
As fate spins a thread without end,
new life draws its first breath,
Blossoming in a soil reclaimed from the past,
where destiny holds fast,
Here where we stand, hand clenched in hand
everyone caught in the struggle,
This is the day we finally find our way
stepping into our tomorrow
Every soul contains a whisper of light
growing louder as it calls to unite
From the distance sings a chorus of souls
rising slowly, stirring heat from the coals
Colors weave into a spire of flame
Distant sparks call to a past still unnamed
Bear this torch against the cold of the night
Light will guide you, on your way to the ultimate fight
Every soul contains a whisper of light
growing louder as it calls to unite
From the distance sings a chorus of souls
rising slowly, stirring heat from the coals
Colors weave into a spire of flame
Distant sparks call to a past still unnamed

I played with my parents. I was winning, but then something happened. I sneezed, and it threw me off.
That sneeze made me lose. I got so angry! It wasn't like me to get angry over a video game, and the three of us knew that.
When I got back from cooling down in the bathroom, my parents both looked at me with concern.
"What's going on?" I asked.
"We've decided… you should be in your room resting," Dad told me.
"What? But-"
"You're sick, honey. We just want you to get better." Mom said.
"If you want, you can still take the charger and the counsle. But promise you'll stay in your bed."
"Fine…" I took the charger and counsle upstairs. I secretly took another controller for Tikki.
Tikki came out of my bed. "They're right, you know. You should rest."
"I know…" I held up the controller I snuck up. "Wanna play?"
"You know it!"
I closed and re-opened the application. The theme played.
Tikki's POV
I won against her the first time. She got really angry again.
I don't like it when she get's this angry. "Calm down, Marrinette! You'll attract an akuma!" I decided to start going easy on her. She won every time.
We heard a scream. An akuma! I didn't know what to do. Marinette was sick, but she was the only one who could capture the akuma.
But, of course, she chose for me.
"Tikki, spots on!"
