Chapter One
Summary: Let´s play a little mind game to guess the characters behind this little crossover fiction. So no definite names of the people and characters from the shows but unambiguous clues which are going to take us on the path to them.
Nine.
Nine could be just a number on the keyboard. Could be a reminder of a life. Could be a thing which have showed us our past mistakes and decisions. Nine could be an amount of people in a swarm of or in a pack of. Nine could be a number of the steps you have to take to go down the flight of the stairs. Nine could have been the number of the chapters in the book you have to finish yet. Nine is the number of the years you have spent apart from the person you expected the least to happen. And that goes for you both. Both of you full of fire and desire. Everything turned upside down. Nine years and nine steps stands between you two now.
Bullet shell case.
A single bullet shell case. A really tiny thing which can take or keep a life. A single thing could mean the line you have to draw. A single thing you left for her on the floor of the morgue at the moment of your purest confession. A single thing you showed her as a proof of your change. Of the moment that led to it. Of the beginning. Of the redemption. Of the founded road to the Lord. Of the path to make it through the worst. You both have called it the closest call of your lives. You both have the scars that has been defining you and your lives. You both make sure to do things on your own. Life has its ups and downs. A bullet shell case standing on the ground now as an unbreakable promise.
The eye of the hurricane.
The eye of the hurricane could bring the calm but also could bring a whirlwind into your life. The eye of the hurricane could always mean more than its look could disclose after all. The eye of the hurricane would definitely bring the change in your life preferences. The eye means that the life as you know it is about to change. Could be a hell of a fight. Could be a hell of a ride. Could be really something else. Or could be someone new. Could be the start of something good.
At the beginning it even didn´t cross your mind you two could be so tight. She was an empty space and you being afraid to feel. And just by saying you both are being overachievers in your lives lets you both to have some possible scope of not getting too personally involved. At least for now.
