Hello my awesome readers and followers, another chapter has arrived. I think things are getting interesting with the addition of Cassie to the fireflies and Ember's trip to Boston.

17 years into the apocalypse…
Cassie looked on with a worried look as Ember messed around with different types of electronics that she found around the place.
Ember had a passion for such things years ago, so it wasn't her passion that left Cassie on edge.
But when she arrived earlier that day and Ember noticed she had a bullet wound on her shoulder, Ember had practically demanded to know what happened.
When she found out she grabbed a bunch and electronics and started to work on something while saying things like "those FEDRA assholes" and " no one hurts what's mine".
Ember then placed something inside her bag, something that Cassie couldn't see.
Ember then got up and used the rope to go to the ground floor.
Ember: Come with me.
Cassie didn't know why she, but she did.
She followed Ember for a while, they were both in complete silence.
Cassie wanted to ask what they were doing or where were they going, but something told her they she wouldn't get answers until they reached their destination.
After a few hours of walking they where able to see their objective.
Cassie skin turned pale as she found out where they were going.
Cassie: Why are we going to the quarentine zone?
Ember:... Things…
Ember crouched down and walked slowly and carefully without alerting any of the guards at the checkpoints.
As soon as she found a place where the security was weakest and started to look through her bag.
After a few seconds Ember pulled out a white ball, it was the size of football and had a red button in it.
She turned to Cassie and whisper to her:
Ember: Start stepping back and cover your ears.
Cassie did as she was told, afraid of what was going to happen.
Ember pressed the red button and threw the ball over the wall of the quarentine zone before covering her own ears.
As soon has it landed on the other side of the wall it started to make a ear shattering noise that was her all around the quarentine zone and even out of it.
Ember started to run while covering her ears.
Cassie followed her not knowing what to do.
After a some time of running while avoiding infected and they reached a small building.
Cassie followed Ember with fear in her hearth.
Because even as Ember walked to a window and used a pair of binoculars to see a large group of infected attack and ultimately kill everyone inside the quarantine zone , Cassie could see it clearly.
Ember was smiling.
Present day…
As Cassie finished her story the other two that were beside her remained quiet
Then Tomas got up saying:
Tomas: That girl is a sadist.
Zeb: Dude, what the fuck?
Tomas: It's true, she is someone that is dangerous to herself and others and should be put down.
Cassie suddenly got up from her seat and left.
Zeb: Good job, asshole.
Tomas: I stand by what I said.
Zeb: Whatever… we have a mission in 3 days, and I hope to see you as little as possible.
3 days later…
Close to Boston…
Ember smiled as she looked over her map.
Ember: it seems that I have arrived.
She looked at the city that she was going to live in.
Ember:... Such a piece of trash.
She walked casually and entered the city itself.
Ember(thinking): Now it's time the find the QZ (quarantine zone), if I want to have a easier time killing fireflies, then I must join FEDRA, good thing nobody knows who caused that mess back at New York besides Cassie… and since I'm sure she joined the fireflies, I'm sure FEDRA won't listen to her, even if she says anything.
She decided to reach a high place so she could see most of the city.
Walking through the city she was able to locate a building that she assumed would help her.
She entered the building only to hear the noises of the infected.
Ember(thinking): It's been a while since I faced some infected.
The place was a mess, it had fallen wardrobes, flipped tables, and a destroyed sofa.
Ember(thinking): This place is a wreck…. I see 5 infected, all runners, but it's obvious that there's more in the top floors.
She made a quick check on her supplies and weapons.
2 medpacks, a smoke bomb, food that wasn't even enough for a day and a empty bottle.
Those were the supplies that she had in her bag.
In her pocket she had a zero tolerance combat folder knife and a Thompson/center contender g2 hunting pistol.
In her pouches she had benchmade nimvarus tanto combat knife and a glock 19 grip compact size pistol.
Ember(thinking): The pistols are out of question, I have to do this stealthily.
Ember pulled out her combat knife and started to sneak around hidden behind a desk.
Ember(thinking) : With the supplies I have I can't do my favorite tactic. Well, we can't have everything.
She then pulled out her folder knife and walked closer to her first target.
It was a runner that was separated from the others.
She sneaked behind the infected and stabbed him in the back of the neck with her folder knife and in the side of the head with the hunting knife.
Ember used the same process on the remaining infected in the lower floors.
Ember(thinking): dealing with these things it's always so easy, i don't know why people find them hard to deal with, they are dumb.
She slammed the blunt side of her combat knife into a window, making enough noise to attract the rest of the infected in the building.
She then pulled out her pistols and made short work of them before climbing to the roof of the building.
She pulled out pair of binoculars she had on her back until she managed the FEBRA base.
Ember: Good... Now to find some Fireflies to kill, so i can give the corps to FEBRA as presents.
She smiled a big smile as she looked down bellow, she was going to have some fun. :)
