Love The Way You Lie; Chapter 22. The Overwhelm Of Shock.
Its normal for a women to come out with unpredictable statements with their confusing emotions. But those words that left Pearl's mouth, to explain what was making her ill, really did turn the Hiwatari's emotions into a raw recipe for disaster.
"I'm getting rid of it."
"Wait. What?"
It was one thing after another. Being told you are the father to whats growing in her body was overwhelming and eye opening to the circle of life. But within a heart beat to hear that statement, was another. Anger + joy + ambition = Disaster. Kai couldn't deal with this, he was utterly speechless. His heart had risen into his throat, meanwhile his skin wrenched against his muscles.
"You are too into your career to care about anyone else Kai." Pearl muttered and stood up from the table in a bitter expression. "Not only that, this championship is at our fingertips and I have dreamed of this moment for my whole life."
Judging by the tone of her voice, he could sense the decision was breaking her heart, that's why she was so angry and frustrated with him. Except, for the first time in a long time, the Russian did something selfless. He stood up from the table and grabbed hold of the girls petite hand to restrain her from walking out the scene, pulling her back towards him.
"And I am told I am selfish." The Ex-Bladebreaker leader snapped in outrage. "You don't have a good enough reason to destroy that life, do you Pearl?"
"It was a mistake Kai and I will put it right. Besides, you never gave a shit about me. You're still texting that slag! Michelle!"
His crimson eyes widened and twitched faintly, it destroyed himself when she slapped her hand free from his sharp grip. This girl had clearly over thought about everything and it was all his fault. "So you're checking my phone now?! Are you ill Pearl?!" Kai snarled, really losing his rag now with what he was hearing.
"You've hurt me. So I have every right to hurt you back. I will not bring a child into this, when you don't give a shit about anyone else but yourself."
Finally, everything that had been bottling up inside that blondes chest, was escaping through her peached lips. That fire he could see in her chestnut brown eyes, looked like the passion he could see in himself when he was younger. Determination and cold.
"Michelle text me first to tell me that Mr Dickinson has signed her to join the Bladebreakers. Replacing you."
"I'm loving the kisses at the end of the text though Kai." Pearl chuckled sarcastically and folded her arms. "I am going to my old team and you, can piss off back to the Bladebreakers with Michelle. I will rip you apart in the tournament match."
"That's not going to happen is it?" The blue haired Russian barked. "You are going to have dignity and think straight."
"Oh and you know all about 'dignity' don't you? Goodbye Kai."
Following her into the bedroom, he'd noticed his tag-team partner had now packed up everything she'd owned. Outside was the sound of a cab beeping its car horn. "You know where they are don't you?" Kai shuck his head and blinked back the emotion that was welling up inside his crimson eyes.
Nobody had ever snapped him into two like this. But right now, those Evolutions were the last thing on his mind.
"If you leave and get rid of my baby. I will never forgive you Pearl and I will make you pay for it. I promise you."
"We'll see Hiwatari."
"I can't believe it. This whole time! You were one of them!"
"BYE KAI!"
Dropping the luggage onto the ground like a rebellious child who's just been granted permission to come home, the bleach blonde gazed her swollen and red chestnut brown eyes up at her best friends. "I did what you told me too. Now its time to come home. I missed you so much." She announced, watching the Evolution crew all turn their heads into her direction.
Slowly, the leader Riley cracked a weak smile on his dry lips as he turned his head to the intruder. "Its took you long enough Pearl. We have much to discuss when we get to the hotel huh?" The brunette with lime green eyes smirked and glanced the familiar champion up and down curiously. He could sense the heart breaking tension creeping up in the atmosphere. Was it the fact she left the Bladebreakers? Or was it Kai? Everyone knew about those troubling teenagers.
"Yea. I found out quite a lot about the team. You'll be surprised how easy Tyson is distracted." The Liberty holder cracked a weak smile when her big brothers best friend wrapped his arms around her figure protectively. It made her realise that she was now safe again and Kai couldn't hurt her anymore now Riley was around. "Their good kids."
"And Hiwatari?" He whispered in a sly yet soothing tone, trying to sooth the atmosphere in the public space. "How has he taken everything?"
"Don't worry about him. I'll have deal with that bastard in the ring." Pearl wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him tightly. "He's nobody compared to you guys."
Riley raised an eyebrow and parted from the hug. "I hoped you wouldn't say that. But fine." The American Evolution leader then patted her on the shoulder and bent down to pick up her luggage to load into another cab that was waiting on the roadside beside them.
"I will explain everything on the way Riley. But promise you wont tell everyone else. This is between us."
Ignoring the idea of people recognising the rising to fame pair in the rainy weather, they both got into the taxi and drove back to the hotel. Except, Riley wasn't impressed with one bit with what he heard. Especially that Pearl was quite lucky to still have this baby, despite the fact that she could have lost it with her beyblade match with Michelle (badly wounding her.)
"I gave you a strict order, to not fall for that monster. And you've defied me."
"Like I said. Don't worry about him. He's on the edge of breaking point." Pearl answered and closed her eyes to try and blank out the sensation of a headache building up inside her head. "He thinks I am going to abort this baby and you are the next stage of that process."
"You want me to tell him? Pft. I don't want to get involved."
"Its too late Riley. You already are." Pearl smirked cheekily and leaned her head back onto the taxi chair. Right now, it was so easy to think about going to sleep and not wanting to wake back up to this nightmare. But that was giving up too soon. "It will break him, I promise you and he wont be fit enough to beyblade in the finals."
Treat a girl like a game. She will show you its played.
"Just like you wont be." Riley rolled his eyes and placed his head into his hands. "I knew you'd fuck up. You always do." He then took a deep breath and rubbed his eyelids for a second. Suddenly a smirk crawled up onto his dry lips when he remembered a thought. "But anyways, the team are excited to see you. They even baked you cup-cakes."
"No way." The American blonde gasped whilst opening her eyes widely. "I have missed those guys so much too."
